Abstract

Cemoro village is located in Wonoboyo Sub district , Temanggung District, Central Java Province with the area is 778.9 ha. There are 2.355 people in Cemoro village (1.187 male and 1.168 female). Most of the residents work as plantation farmers. In the dry season, water discharge in the Lingseng River becomes very small, so it can not meet the demand for drinking water and the irrigation needs. Based on water balance, there is a deficit around 27.140,23 m3, that certainly reduce productivity in both agriculture and social welfare. Therefore, the hydraulic structure is needed. To overcome the water deficit one of the efforts is by constructing a small dam. The design minimum capacity of the small dam is 27.140,23 m3. The gross capacity of the storage is 30.653,45 m3 which take into account of sediment storage. Based on correlation graph of elevation, volume storage, and area storage, the head elevation of spillway is +1.542 m. The head elevation of small dam is +1.545,50 m which take into account of flood water level and freeboard. By the presence of small dam, it is expected to cover the water deficit so it can increase the water supply for drinking water and irrigation of horticulture farm.

Abstract

Banger river polder system which has 524 ha area is a part of Semarang Centre region drainage system. Banger river polder system is located in East Semarang region and North Semarang region. It is a crowded area with many problems. This area which has low level at soil supporting capacity is flooded by rob almost everytime. So it causes land subsidence every year. On the other hand, land use is another serious problem there with many houses cover the area without proper access road. Construction method evaluation of procurement and pump installation and retention pond and closer dike construction in Banger river polder system need to adapt more further with the real condition on site. Procurement and pump installation works will not be affected significantly by Banger river polder system site location. So that, in retension pond and closer dike works need a construction method which uses dewatering work, temporary dike construction, and determining the hauling route. These works combination produce an effective construction method, construction method using dewatering and bailey bridge. This construction method is a combination between dewatering work and the use of bailey bridge which is based on workability, reducing cycle time, and the economical one. This combination is the most effective, based on work influence indicators which reach 27,05%

Abstract

One of the phenomenon of the river is flood, which is caused by the inability of the river to accommodate the rain before it is streamed to the sea. Study location in Beringin River area Wonosari Semarang City is being one of the areas that is often experienced this. The negative impacts such as inhibiting people activities, infrastructure damage, and paralysis of economic activity, making this can?t be ignored. So, needed a handling effort to minimize or even prevent flooding. In this final task, the flood control system that used is the long storage which it is an extend reservoir on Beringin river area, Semarang. The planning process of long storage begins with primary and secondary data collection, and got 1993-2012 (20 years) rain data from 3 (three) different rain stations which is Tugu station, Mijen station, and Mangkangwaduk station with total of Beringin River area is 26,58 km2. Hydrological analysis which includes determining rainfall average using Thiessen method, frequency analysis with probability distribution, data testing using Chi-Kuadrat and Smirnov-Kolmogorof, Intensity of the rain plan calculating using Mononobe and ABM (Alternating Block Methode, and determining flood discharge plan using HSS Gama I. And then hydraulic analysis with flood routing and backwater to determining the needed of long storage capacity to plan the design of water building and the components. The last is budget planning and job scheduling of long storage. From hydrological analysis obtained with the maximum flood debit for a period of 25 years m3/sec 216,897. Obtained from that debit of flood water level +8,62. For the design of water building, including lighthouse weir (spillway) 22 meters width, 3 units of drain floodgates each 1,5 meters width, levees (retaining wall) 2 kilometers length, and bridge services. Implementation is planned in 6 months at a cost of Rp 17.316.641.000,00.-. From this Long Storage planning, it is expected to cope flood that occurred in Beringin River area, Semarang.

Abstract

The land degradation of Cimuntur Sub Watershed that happened causing the function of sub watershed is changing as a basin. The indication of erosion and sedimentation was 88,55 ton/ha/yr and sediment yield was 0,91 mm/yr. Therefore it needs study to figure out how big is the erotion and sedimentatiom in Cimuntur Sub Watershed so that can get the solution for the problem which happened in Cimuntur Sub Watershed. Analizing of erotion and sedimentation in Cimuntur Watershed is used Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) Method and is helped with ArcGIS software. ArcGIS software is used to overlay datas. The input data which is needed for USLE Method is Rain Erosivity Factor (R), Soil Erodibility Factor (K), Slope Length Factor (LS), Land Use Factor (C), and Practical Conservation Factor (P). The result of data overlay by ArcGIS is erotion happened. From the analizing datas is gotten that erotion at Cimuntur Sub Watershed is 963,747 ton/ha/year and sediment yield is 14,649 ton/ha/year. And then making classification of erotion class. This erotion class is made to be used as the consideration base for defining the alternative solution will be done and determine location of erotion and sedimentation solution. The alternative erotion and sedimentation solution of Cimuntur Watershed is done by doing conservation such as vegetative conservation or mechanical conservation. Vegetative conservation can be done by improving the land use management. After doing vegetative conservation, erotion decreases to 237,415 ton/ha/yr and sediment yield 3,61 ton/ha/yr. Whereas mechanical conservation can be done by building a sediment contoller (check dam). Check dam construction is done at big erosion category that is Cirende River with capacity is 8945,95 m3.

Abstract

Flood is one of the disaster which happened in Semarang City. Many negative impact arising from flood disaster, such as loss of victim or material. One of the handling solution is  developed flood shelter, make a group of disaster preparedness and early warning system.  Identification location of flood shelter are in Beringin Watershed Semarang which consists of 6 Village, namely Wates Village, Wonosari Village, Mangunharjo Village, Mangkang Wetan Village, Gondorio Village, and Beringin Village. Data obtained from the field surve with existing data of flood shelter that has been there. Sources of criteria and terms for flood shelter location are sphere project 2011, Health Minister?s decision and regulations of BPBD.Tool support early warning system used is AWLR (Automatic Water Lever Recorder) and ARR (Automatic Rain Recorder) is placed in the Wates Village. To complete the shortage of space, the Wonosari Village established in the form of building houses on stilts and emergency stairs because it has cliffs that lead to delays in evacuation and treatmen, while other villages for each flood shelters set up tents with size (14x6) meter. Participation and public awareness around the riverbanks to keep clean is needed, so flooding can be reduced.

Abstract

Flood is one of the disaster which often happened in Semarang city. Many negative impact arising from flood disaster, such as loss of victim or material. One of the handling solution is  developed flood shelter. Some region of Semarang cityhave own flood shelter, so in this case we need to identify of elegibility and improvement. Identification location of flood shelter are in Beringin Watershed Semarang which consists of 6 Kelurahan, namely Kelurahan Wates, Kelurahan Wonosari, Kelurahan Mangunharjo, Kelurahan Mangkang Wetan, Kelurahan Gondorio, and Kelurahan Beringin. Data obtained from the field survey,with existing data of flood shelter that has been there. Sources of criteria for  flood shelter location are sphere project handbook, 2011, Health Minister?s decision on the minimum sandart of health problems caused by disaster prevention and handling of refugees, and egulations of BPBD. Some regions like Sub-District of Wonosari require a building in the form of House Podium and emergency doorstep. Because the location have bank- bank resulting the pursuing of evacuating and handling. Besides, some shelter pitched a tent of the size according to requirement to accomodate lacking of room for refugee in shelter. But, people arround the riverbanks should keep the environment clean and not littering, so can decrease the impact of flood.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKebutuhan air baku di Kecamatan Tembalang, Kota Semarang semakin meningkat sejalan dengan pertumbuhan penduduk di daerah tersebut. Selain itu, pada daerah aliran sungai bagian hulu di wilayah Tembalang, dahulu merupakan daerah terbuka untuk resapan air yang telah berubah fungsi menjadi daerah kampus dan pemukiman. Sebelum adanya Universitas Diponegoro, kawasan Tembalang merupakan daerah pertanian dan perkebunan. Maka dari itu, direncanakan bangunan Embung PPLH Universitas Diponegoro yang digunakan sebagai penampung air untuk kebutuhan air baku di Universitas Diponegoro, sehingga mendukung kelestarian air di lingkungan kampus Universitas Diponegoro dan sekitarnya.Perencanaan Embung PPLH Undip ini didasarkan pada beberapa metode yang saling melengkapi. Metode pertama adalah analisis hidrologi yang termasuk analisis kapasitas tampungan dilakukan dengan simulasi. Analisis hidrologi lainnya adalah analisis debit banjir menggunakan Metode HSS Nakayasu, analisis debit andalan menggunakan metode F.J Mock, analisis kebutuhan air dan analisis neraca air. Tahap terakhir adalah perencanaan pembangunan embung.Hasil perencanaan Embung PPLH Universitas Diponegoro mempunyai kapasitas tampungan 14.866,96 m3. Embung direncanakan akan dibangun setinggi 13 m, lebar mercu embung sebesar 6 m, panjang embung adalah 190 m, dan debit banjir dengan periode ulang 100 tahun sebesar 42,87 m3/detik. Sedangkan perencanaan bangunan pelimpah (Spillway), menggunakan debit banjir QPMF dengan debit outflow sebesar 35,87 m3/detik, dengan lebar spillway sebesar 10 m. Konstruksi embung dibangun menggunakan urugan tanah dengan inti lempung. Estimasi biaya perencanaan Embung PPLH Universitas Diponegoro adalah senilai Rp. 25.449.900.000,00 (Dua Puluh Lima Miliyar Empat Ratus Empat Puluh Sembilan Juta Sembilan Ratus Ribu Rupiah).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam siklus hidrologi terdapat sungai dan saluran drainase yang berfungsi untuk mengalirkan air dari daerah tangkapan sampai ke laut. Pada lokasi studi yang berada di kawasan Arso terdapat dua sungai dan dua saluran yaitu Sungai Skanto, Sungai Tami, saluran drainase Arso Barat, dan saluran drainase Arso Timur. Kondisi saat ini, debit di Sungai Skanto dan Sungai Tami cukup besar sehingga terjadi backwater. Dengan adanya backwater di Sungai Skanto dan Sungai Tami maka aliran air limpasan dari drainase Arso Barat dan Arso Timur tidak bisa mengalir ke Sungai Skanto dan Sungai Tami yang menyebabkan melimpasnya air ke wilayah Arso. Dalam pengendalian banjir di kawasan Arso, secara prinsip air limpasan dari kawasan Arso di tampung sementara di kolam retensi. Saat banjir di Sungai Skanto dan Sungai Tami surut, air di kolam retensi dapat dialirkan keluar. Perencanaan sistem kolam retensi Arso dihitung menggunakan debit banjir dengan periode ulang 10 tahun. Dari hasil pengolahan data curah hujan periode ulang 10 tahun dengan menggunakan metode Nakayasu didapat Qrencana sebesar 246,20m3/detik untuk saluran drainase Arso Barat dan 17,282 m3/detik untuk saluran drainase Arso Timur. Dari hasil pemeriksaan saluran eksisting didapatkan bahwa saluran drainase Arso Barat bahwa saluran harus dinormalisasi. Dengan menggunakan metode flood routing Q periode ulang 10 tahun didapat volume air yang tertampung di kolam retensi sebesar 3.253.796 m3.

Abstract

Electricity is a basic human need. Human activity will be disrupted if the availability of electrical energy is also affected. This condition is also currently being experienced by the people of Indonesia. There has been an energy crisis in some regions of Indonesia, particularly in Java - Bali where the area is the center of activity in Indonesia. This is indicated by the frequent occurrence of blackouts in rotation as in most cities in Indonesia. The crisis caused by an imbalance between  supply and demand of electricity usage. Meanwhile, the ability of the government, in this case the PLN in providing the electricity needs is very limited. Therefore, the government is encouraging private sectors and communities to participate in the production of alternative energy, one of which is the Mini Hydro Power Plant. Banyumas Regency has a potential river to build as Mini Hydro Power Plant. This mini hydro power plant will utilize the waterflow from the rivers. The electrical energy produced will be supplied to the Java ? Bali interconnection network so that electricity supply can increase the Java ? Bali capacity. In this  PLTMH  Logawa is planned to generate 616 kWh of power which can serve approximately 600 homes with the assumption that the usage of the power is about  900 watts per hours. It requires investment funds for the construction works amounting to Rp.25,265,787,700,-

Abstract

Reduced green open areas and forests in upstream of Beringin watershed areas is affect the run-off, so it is possible resulting in increased surface run-off, decreased time of concentration, and at the same time a decrease in groundwater recharge. Thus the flow in the rainy season will tend to rise and discharge will decrease in the dry season. Comparison of river's Qmax (usually in the rainy season) and Qmin (in the dry season) is very large. The greater the ratio of river's Qmax to Qmin, indicating the further degradation of the watershed. Upstream areas in the South is quite hilly with steep slopes, with a height of 12.5 m to 250 m. The issue of Beringin River originated from land use change in the uplands, especially on open land (forest, shrubs, and farm or agricultural) into housing and settlement, causing flooding in the watershed  Beringin. To calculate the average maximum rainfall-average using Thiessen polygon method with three rainfall stations that affect which is the Mijen, Tugu, and Mangkang Waduk. Rainfall data were used from 2003 till 2012, while the flood discharge plans taken from the calculation method of HSS Gama I  with a return period of 10 years at 180.59 m3/s. Normalization is planned in the main river along the 7.18 km, from the estuary (STA 0) to the arround Mangkang regency (STA 23). Varying the width of the river is 14 m of STA 0 to STA 8, 12 m of STA 9 to STA 19, and 10 m of STA 20 to STA 23 with the same slope at 1: 1.5. This cross section plan has previously been simulated with HEC-RAS 3.1.3 program and the results was they were able to accommodate discharge plan that occurs. Safety height of 0.6 m was added in each cross section above the water level of the river. Revetments also added to the bend of the river in STA 22-23 with a length of 200 m and a height of 4m. This project implementation is scheduled for 28 weeks with a budget plan of of Rp 16,881,359,000.00.
