Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh manajemen  pemberian pakan terhadap kecernaan pakan untuk mendapatkan efisiensi penggunaan pakan yang terbaik. Materi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi 252 ekor anak ayam buras super umur 1 hari (DOC). Rata-rata bobot badan DOC 37,88  1,98 g (CV : 5,02%). Pakan yang digunakan adalah pakan komersial, periode starter dengan PK 21% dan EM 2.900 kkal/kg, periode finisher dengan PK 19% dan EM 2.900 kkal/kg. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan split plot design dengan main plot yaitu 3 taraf frekuensi pemberian pakan yang terdiri dari F1 (1x/hari), F2 (2x/hari), F3 (3x/hari) dan sub plot yaitu 3 taraf periode pemberian pakan yang terdiri dari P1 (14 jam), P2 (16 jam), P3 (18 jam)dengan 4 ulangan sehingga menggunakan 36 unit percobaan, masing-masing unit percobaan berisi 7 ekor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan uji F pada taraf 5%, kemudian dilanjutkan uji Duncan untuk data yang berbeda nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh interaksi frekuensi dan periode pemberian pakan (P<0,5) terhadap nilai kecernaan PK dan LK, serta faktor frekuensi dan periodeberpengaruh nyata (P<0,5) terhadap nilai kecernaan SK.Kata kunci : ayam buras super, performa, pemberian pakan, frekuensi, awal

Abstract

The study was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of feeding dietary microparticles protein added with Lactobacillus sp. on blood parameters and broiler productivity. A total of 192 birds of 21 days old broiler with initial body weight of 481 ± 67 g were divided into 8 treatments and 4 replications (6 birds each) of a completely randomized design (CRD). Dietary treatments were T0: 21% intact protein ration, T1: 18% intact protein ration, T2: 21% microparticle protein ration, T3: 18% microparticle protein ration, T4: T0 + 1.2 mL Lactobacillus sp, T5: T1 + 1.2 mL Lactobacillus sp., T6: T2 + 1.2 mL Lactobacillus sp., and T7: T3 + 1.2 mL Lactobacillus sp. Parameters observed were total lactic acid bacteria and Coliform, pH, blood cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL), meat cholesterol, meat weight, feed consumption, and body weight gain (BWG). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan test (P<0.05). The results showed that T7 treatment significantly (P<0.05) decreased blood cholesterol, LDL, and meat cholesterol, but increased HDL, meat weight, and BWG. Blood cholesterol, LDL, and meat cholesterol were indicated significantly (P<0.05) lowest values due to T7 treatment. In conclusion, feeding 18% microparticle protein with addition of 1.2 mL Lactobacillus sp. can improves blood status and increases broiler productivity.

Abstract

The aim of the experiment was to determine the optimal levels in the utilization of mulberry leaves fermented with rumen liquid as well as unfermented mulberry leaves, based on its effects on protein digestibility, nitrogen retention, and protein mass of broiler chickens. One hundred  CP 707 day old chicks, unsex, were randomly assigned to receive one of five treatments diets  were T0 (basal diet), T1 (10% unfermented mulberry leaf), T2 (10% fermented mulberry leaf), T3 (20% unfermented mulberry leaf), and T4 (20% fermented mulberry leaf).  Replication for each treatment was four so that the total experimental unit was 20 and each experimental unit consisted of five chickens. The results showed that the administration of 10% mulberry leaves increased the digestibility of protein fermentation, but had no effects on nitrogen retention and protein mass of meat.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of using rumen liquid fermented mulberry leaves in boiler?s diet on feed consumption, blood glucose, and abdominal fat. This research used 100 of day old CP 707 broiler chicks, as well as concentrate, fermented mulberry leaves and other feed stuffs. The experiment was carried out according to completely randomized design consisted of five treatments, i.e. T0 (control), T1 (10% mulberry leaf), T2 (10% fermented mulberry leaf), T3 (20% mulberry leaf) and T4 (20% fermented mulberry leaf) and four replications for each treatment. Result of the study showed that the increasing use of mulberry leaves, either fermented or unfermented, significantly (P<0.05) increased feed consumption compared to control. Treatment with 20% unfermented murlberry leaf significantly (P<0.05) decreased fat and glucose levels. This study concludes that 20% murlberry used in diet decrease energy density of diet and the use of 10% fermented mulberry leaf produced better results than unfermented.

Abstract

The research was aimed to evaluate used dahlia tubersextract as inulinsource onnitrogen retention and feed conversion of crossbred local chicken (male native chicken × female laying hen). Three weeks old 160 unsex birds with average body weight 180.46±1.21g were kept until 8 weeks. The experimentwas designed ascompletely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications (@10 birds). Treatments applied were T0: basal ration, T1: ration + 0.39% extract, T2: ration + 0.78% extract, T3: ration + 1.17% extract. Parameters observed werenitrogen retention, energy metabolism and feed conversion. The data were statistically analyzed according to ANOVA and continued by Duncan test at the level of 5%. The results showed that feeding dahlia tuberextract significantly affect (P&lt;0.05) nitrogen retentionwith value T0-T3 (1.3g, 1.47g, 1.43g, 1.7g)and feed conversion (4.15, 3.58, 3.75, 3.47), but not significant of energy metabolism. In conclusion, the higher levels of feeding inulin in the form of extract in T3 (1.17%), increase nitrogen retention and improve feed conversionof crossbred local chicken.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determaine the influence of banana peel bioconvertion in the diet on protein utilization of broiler chicken. The experiment used 120 broiler chickens at 14 days old unsex with average body weight 475 0,98 g. Feed rations were consist of 22% crude protein; 3200 kcal/kg metabolizable energy. Completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 6 replication was used in this experiment which T0 (control): rations without banana peel bioconvertion, T1: ration with banana peel bioconvertion 5%, T2: ration with banana peel bioconvertion10%, T3: ration with seaweedbanana peel bioconvertion15%. Feed provided ad libitum until this research until from 14-35 day old. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) F-test with level 5% and if the result of the analysis showed significant effect of treatment will be followed by Duncan's test with SPSS 16 program. The results showed that treatment banana peel bioconvertion showed non significant effect of performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung buah jambu biji dalam ransum ayam broiler dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap persentase dan potongan komersial karkas ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah: 120 ekor unsexing broiler dengan bobot rata-rata 389,33±7,9 g umur 16 hari, ransum tepung buah jambu biji merah dan vitamin C sintetis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan masing ? masing, unit percobaan diisi 6 ekor ayam. Perilaku tersebut adalah T0: tanpa penambahan Tepung buah jambu biji merah (TBJM), T1: 1,7% TBJM, T2: 3,4%TBJM, T3: 5,1%TBJM, T4: vitamin C 500 ppm. Parameter yang diamati adalah persentase karkas dan potongan komersial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung buah jambu biji pada ransum menunjukkan terhadap ayam broiler yang diberikan ransum dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji sebesar 3,4% (T2) menghasilkan berat karkas dan potongan komersial paling tinggi dan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) apabila dibandingkan dengan ayam broiler yang diberikan ransum tanpa penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji (T0), ransum dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji sebesar 1,7% (T1), 5,1% (T3) dan vitamin C 500 ppm (T4). Kesimpulan, penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji 5% sudah mampu meningkatkan bobot karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to evaluate feeding effect of microparticle protein derived from soybean meal and fish meal combined with Lactobacillus sp. at 1.2 mL on physiological condition of digestive tract and productivity of broiler. Total of 192 broiler, with initial body weight was 481.0 ± 67.2 g, given dietary treatment starting on day 21 until day 42. The experiment was assigned in a completely randomized design with 8 treatments and 4 replications. Dietary treatment were 21% intact protein (T0), 18% intact protein (T1), 21% microparticle protein (T2), 18% microparticle protein (T3), T0+Lactobacillus sp.1.2 mL (T4), T1+Lactobacillus sp.1.2 mL (T5), T2+Lactobacillus sp.1.2 mL (T6), T3+Lactobacillus sp.1.2 mL (T7). Parameters measured were total ileal lactic acid bacteria (LAB), Coliform and pH, rate of passage, daily body weight gain (DWG) and also carcass weight. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and followed by Duncan multiple range test (P<0.05). Experimental results showed that microparticle protein diet added with Lactobacillus sp. (P<0.05) increased total LAB and DWG, but decreased Coliform population, and slowed down the rate of passage. However, carcass weight was not significantly affected by treatments. Feeding microparticle protein (18%) with addition of Lactobacillus sp. (1.2 mL) can improve to be better condition of digestive tract based on higher LAB and lower Coliform populations, and increase daily body weight gain with the same carcass weight.
