Abstract

Abstrak. Hasil pengamatan peneliti saat mengajar matakuliah Teori Bilangan diperoleh data bahwa banyak mahasiswa yang mengalami kesulitan  membuktikan suatu pernyataan, baik berupa teorema ataupun lemma. Salah satu faktor yang mengakibatkan mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan memahami materi dari matakuliah Teori Bilangan adalah kurangnya bahan ajar yang dapat dimanfaatkan mahasiswa serta bahan ajar yang tidak sesuai dengan deskripsi matakuliah pada buku pedoman mahasiswa, sehingga diperlukan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan deskripsi yang ada pada buku pedoman mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matakuliah Number Theory  untuk mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika kelas Internasional. Rancangan isi dari buku ajarnya  terdiri dari lima bab yang secara garis besar akan disusun sedemikian sehingga: Chapter 1: Divisibility, Chapter 2: Prime Numbers, Chapter 3: Greatest Common Divisor and Least Common Multiple, Chapter 4: Arithmetic Functions, Chapter 5: Congruences. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian pengembangan. Hasil pengembangan bahan ajar matakuliah Number Theory telah selesai sampai draft 1. Draft 1 ini hanya menitikberatkan isi yang sesuai dengan buku pedoman yang dimiliki mahasiswa Kelas Internasional. Oleh karena itu masih perlu perbaikan dalam aspek struktur bahasa, materi dan kelengkapan buku ajar sebagai buku yang akan digunakan dalam perkuliahan oleh mahasiswa jurusan matematika. Sehingga bisa disimpulkan layak untuk digunakan, meskipun banyak revisi yang harus dilakukan. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan bahan ajar dan Number Theory Abstract. Observations the researcher while teaching number theory courses retrieved data that many students have difficulty proving a statement, either in the form of a theorem or lemma. One of the factors that resulted in the students have difficulty understanding the material from the number theory course is the lack of materials that can be utilized as well as student learning materials that do not conform to the description of courses in the student handbook, so that the necessary materials are in accordance with the description found in the student handbook. This research aims to develop learning materials Number Theory courses for students of Mathematics Education study program of international class. Content design of text book consists of five chapters that outline will be structured such that: Chapter 1: Divisibility, Chapter 2: Prime Numbers, Chapter 3: Greatest Common Divisor and Least Common Multiple, Chapter 4: Arithmetic Functions, Chapter 5: Congruences. This type of research is research development. Development of learning materials results Number Theory courses have been completed until the draft 1. This only concerns the 1st Draft of the contents according to the Handbook of student-owned international class. It is therefore still needs improvement in the aspect of the structure of language, content and completeness of the textbook as a handbook to be used in lectures by students majoring in mathematics. So it can be worth to use, though many revisions to be done. Key words: development teaching materials and number theory

Abstract

This research was conducted at 2 students of SMPK Anak Bangsa Surabaya grade VIII. Subjects were selected based on the basic of equal mathematics ability. Data was collected using provision of problem-solving and task-based interview. Data was analysed using data reduction steps, data presentation, and conclusions. Meanwhile, to obtain valid research data in this study, researchers used time triangulation. The results indicated that in the number 1 problem of identifying patterns, the subjects of men and women tend to have similarities in stating what is known and asked the question, but the male students are more specific to explain the magnitude of the difference between the first quantity Followed by increased differences in other quantities. Related activities determine the relationship between two quantities, male subjects and women subject tend to have similarities in how to determine the relationship between two quantities that is by trial and error using existing mathematical operations.It can be concluded that the functional way of thinking both subjects is relatively the same. Its just that the male subject is more specific in finding the difference between the two quantities and finding the correspondence relationship between the quantities
