Abstract

This study aims to determine the structure of fishermen household income and expenditure. This research was conducted in March-April 2018 in Sekunyit Village. Research location is determined by purposive with Sekunyit consideration that in the village is one of the fishing villages in the Kaur district. Data processed using analysis of receipts and expenditures of households. The results showed the average amount of fisherman household income in Sekunyit Village was Rp. 8,606,594,59 / month. Revenue from the capture fisheries sector contributed the most (82.08%) to the fishermen household income. Meanwhile, the average expenditure of a fisherman's household in Sekunyit Village is Rp. 3,980,499 / month , where 69.24% was used to finance the capture fisheries business sector.

Abstract

Multistage Coilgun is an electromagnetic coil composed of more than one coil so that can throw a projectile. The velocity of the projectile coming out of the tube must be controlled. The mechanism can be done by a multistage coilgun design that has a varying number of turns. Each coil that coincides with one another is wrapped separately. The motion of projectile following the velocity profile is perfomed by designing a multistage coil in different layer number based on the energy needed, and therefore the coil is more efficient. Furthermore, the velocity of the projectile is controlled by controlling the current injected to the coil using the Genetic Algorithm method. A prototype of a multistage coilgun system with the proposed coil variation is built in this work. The test is carried out 7 times with an average final velocity of the projectile of 29,89 m/s. While the results of the numerical simulation are 32,63 m/s. Testing error compared to simulation is 9,15%.

Abstract

The two-wheeled electric skateboard (TWS) is designed for a personal vehicle. A Fuzzy-PID control strategy is designed and implemented for controlling its motion. Basically, motions control of the TWS is performed by balancing the pitch position of the TWS. Performance of the designed controller is demonstrated experimentally. The Fuzzy algorithm updates the PID gains and therefore it can handle the changing of the TWS load. Contribution of Fuzzy-PID in reducing the electric energy consumption, which is an important issue in electrical system, is also evaluated. The Fuzzy-PID successes to reduce the electric energy consumption of the TWS compared to the conventional PID.

Abstract

Penambahan lapis perkerasan diatas lapis perkerasan lama (overlay) sebagai tindakan peremajaan lapis perkerasan dinilai kurang efektif karena hal tersebut dapat merusak lapisan pondasi dibawahnya serta memerlukan dana yang tidak sedikit. Diperlukan inovasi dalam pemeliharaan jalan yang ekonomis, efektif, dan ramah lingkungan. Recycling (daur ulang) merupakan metode yang dapat menjadi alternatif untuk permasalahan tersebut.  Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pencampuran perkerasan jalan dengan metode cold mix. Dalam metode cold mix diperlukan  bahan peremaja agar aspal yang terkadung didalamnya dapat diguanakan kembali. Pada campuran aspal daur ulang ini digunakan peremaja berupa oli bekas dan solar sebagai bahan peremjanya dengan perbandingan 0 : 100, 25 : 75, 50 : 50, 75 : 25, dan 100 : 0, kadar peremaja yang digunakan 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% dan 10% dan kadar asbuton yang digunakan adalah 3%, 6%, 9%, dan 12% dengan waktu pereman selam 4 hari. Dari penelitian ini menghasilkan kadar peremaja optimum pada kadar 2,93 %  proporsi peremajanya pada komposisi 75 : 25 ( oli bekas : solar ) dengan hasil nilai stabilitas maksimumnya 236,17 kg. Namun nilai stabilitas rata – rata dari komposisi peremaja 75 : 25 mengalami penurunan nilai stabilitas 81,93 % dari hasil core drill. Sehingga benda uji pada penelitian ini tidak memenuhi kriteria stabilitas untuk lalu lintas berat yaitu 800 kg. Namun, beberapa dari nilai stabilitas benda uji masuk kriteria untuk LATASIR yaitu 200 kg. Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa penelitian ini dapat dijadikan alternatif sebagai pengganti LATASIR. Abstract

Strengthening food security can be started at the household level, one way is through the program Sustainable Food House (RPL). Sustainable Food Houses Program in urban residential areas is one way of creative, innovative and environmentally friendly to realize the green area in the yard of a residential beautiful, cool and productive. How this is done by utilizing the pot wheelbase (wick pot) on a semi-organic vegetable production. IbM activities of community groups to inspire citizens and public housing complexes around the housing to apply RPL through the pot wheelbase in the cultivation of vegetables in home gardens urban areas. Utilization of open space with vegetable crops, in addition to economic value, it also creates a healthy and educational environment for the citizens housing complex BTN Hope and Housing Development UNIB. The results of the activities IbM the RPL program is able to evoke the spirit of the citizens in an effort to greening the housing area. This is evidenced by the use of the home page and all along the road on both the housing. It also provides technical skills of residents in the cultivation of vegetables in the pot so that the need for some types of vegetables for his family adequately met from the application of science and technology activities for the community by a team of professors from the University of Bengkulu. Keywords: green areas, sustainable food home, wick pot, vegetables

Abstract

This research aim to: 1) to analyze the amount of financial worthiness of rubber plantation as long as economic age in Batumarta 1 Lubuk Raja Ogan Komering Ulu regency. 2) To know the level of sensitivity in replanting rubber to several dominant factors related to finance and advantage in Batumarta 1 Lubuk Raja Ogan Komering Ulu regency. 77 respondents are chosen, about 30 % from 258 population which have represented population, because the population in Batumarta1 homogeneously relative in rubber plantation system, that is rejuveration system. The sample was chosen by using Simple Random Sampling Method. The research methodology is Survey. While the data is analyzed by worthiness count criteria which consist of Net B/C ratio, Gross B/C ratio, Provitability ratio, Net Present value (NPV), Internal Return Rate(IRR), this valuation done to know the worthiness off rubber replanting. Otherwise, also done the counting of sensitivity experimental. The result shows that rubber replanting in Batumarta 1 can be properly applied and the most sensitive factor is the decresing of selling price, increasing of production cost (fertilizer and total cost before tax) Keywords: Finansial feasibility Rubber  Replanting

Abstract

The objective of this  study is to analyze the efficiency and risk of rice farming with and without hand tractor. Sixty six respondents are selected using simple random sampling. R/C ratio is used to estimate farm efficiency and  business risk analysis as suggested by Kadarsan (1995) is used to examine risk that is probably faced by farmers. The results showed that farmers used tractors is more efficient than others.  This conclusion is based on average R/C ratio of 3.02 and 2.69 for farmers with and without tractor respectively.  Statistic t test also support the existence  of economic efficiency dissimilarity. Keyword: Efficiency, Business Risks, Rice Farming

Abstract

This study is aimed at examining enterprises model and analysing risk level of Palm Sugar in Rejang Lebong Regency.  Risk Analysis involve nira harvested, nira processed, palm sugar production, and palm sugar prices received by producers.  Two-stages cluster sampling method is used to determine research areas, i.e, subdistrict of Sindang Kelingi and Selupu Rejang based on the numbers of  firms. Using similar critirea, two villages are selected, i.e, Air Meles Atas and Sindang Jati.  From those villages, then, 86 palm sugar producers are selected using Simple Random Sampling. Descriptive analysis is applied to describe entreprises model of palm sugar industries while risks is analysed using its varians, standard deviation, and minimum level of production as proposed by Maryam and Suprapti (2008).   The research shows that all palm sugar industries in this regency can be categories as home industries with average production scale of  11.58 kg per process in rainy season and 11. 54 kg in dry season. Palm sugar producers  use  their own capital to produce palm sugar and borrowed to palm sugar village merchants when they need.  From risk analysis, the study finds that palm sugar producers will face higher risk in term of nira harvested and processed, and production in dry season, except in term of price received which is higher in rainy season.  Over all, palm sugar producers will not face risk significantly both in dry and rainy season.Key words: Palm Sugar, Enterprises model, Risk analysis

Abstract

The research  was conducted to study factors that correlated with harvest labours’ motivation to join the program of systematic cow cattle integration in oil palm plantation (SISS), to investigate the harvest labours’ net income from SISS and its contribution to family income, and  to examine factors that were influencing the return rate of credit. The research was conducted in PT Agricinal, an oil palm plantation in North Bengkulu Regency.  The respondents for the research consisted of 83 harvest labours were selected from 3 afdellings proporsionally using simple random sampling method.  Data were analyzed using Spearman’s Rank-Order correlation coefficient and multiple linear regressions.  Harvest labours’ age, net income from SISS, the number of dependency family, empathi, and dogmatism were significantly correlated with the labours’ motivation to join the program of SISS.  The average of harvest labours’ monthly net income from SISS was Rp. 1.23 million and its contribution to family income was 98.71 percents.  While the return rate of credit was only 43.27 percent and it was significantly influenced by the harvest labours’ education and the total of credit.    PT Agricinal should be maintaining the harmony relationship with harverst labours in order to improve their work motivation.  In addition, the regulation of SISS program should be conveyed not only in oral but also in writing in order to guarantee the harvest labours to do their job.  Key word:  SISS,  labours motivation, labours net income, and the return rate of credit

Abstract

The aims of the research are to 1) determine factors that affect the production of ubi jalar ungu, 2) to know how much costs and revenues the ubi jalar ungu farming, 3) to determine the efficiency of the ubi jalar ungu farming, 4) to calculate how much added value from ubi jalar ungu processing into fried macaroni. This study sites was intentionally set in the village of Teladan. The data is obtained from the primary data and the secondary data, the respondents of ubi jalar ungu farmers was taken by census method. While the processor is home industry ZAHRA. The result shows that significant factos are seeds, Phonska fertilizers, manures and labors. While, land factor is not significant. The total cost for the ubi jalar ungu farming is Rp 2.900.054,13/Ut/Mt or Rp 8.209.106,83/Ha/Mt, and a revenue is Rp 3.241.570,87/Ut/Mt, or Rp 9.190.226,51/Ut/Ha. Result of the R/C ratio is 2,12, and the value is greater than one. It means that the farming is efficient. The added value of ZAHRA home industry is Rp 41.072,-/kg, with a profit of Rp 37.472,-/kg, and the rate of profit reaches 91.23 %. This benefit is a net plus, because it has been reduced by the share of the labor.Key words: Ubi jalar ungu, production, revenue, efficiency and value-added
