Abstract

STUDENTS? CREATIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE ON ACID-BASE TOPIC THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING WITH TERI PUTER CREATIVE PRODUCTS AbstractCreativity is one of the most needed competencies in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze students' creativity and knowledge on acid-base material through the application of Project Based Learning with Teri Puter Creative Products. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bae Kudus with 35 research subjects in class XI MIPA 6 in the 2018/2019 school year. Data collection techniques using test and non-test instruments that have been declared valid and reliable. The results showed as many as 74% of students were in creative criteria and were very creative with the highest percentage in the originality indicator and the lowest percentage in the fluency indicator, while for the ability of knowledge by 40% who had good criteria and very good. The highest achievement is on the indicator to calculate the pH of acid-base solution and the lowest achievement on the indicator to calculate the concentration of [H+] and [OH-] in the solution. Positive responses are given by students with project based learning that has been applied. AbstrakKreativitas merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang amat dibutuhkan  pada abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kreativitas dan pengetahuan siswa pada materi asam-basa melalui penerapan Project Based Learning dengan Produk Kreatif Teri Puter. Penelitian dilaksanakan  di SMA Negeri 1 Bae Kudus dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 35 siswa kelas XI MIPA 6 pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes dan non tes yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 74% siswa berada pada kriteria kreatif dan sangat kreatif dengan persentase tertinggi pada indikator originality dan persentase terendah pada indikator fluency, sedangkan untuk kemampuan pengetahuan sebesar 40 % yang berkriteria baik dn sangat baik. Pencapaian tertinggi yaitu pada indicator menghitung pH larutan asam-basa dan  pencapaian terendah pada indicator menghitung konsentrasi [H+] dan [OH-] dalam larutan. Tanggapan positif diberikan oleh siswa dengan project based learning yang telah diterapkan.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pada kitosan sebagai adsorben. Adsorben tersebut digunakan untuk mengadsorpsi zat warna indikator Metil Oranye (MO) dalam larutan air. Parameter yang mempengaruhi adsorpsi yaitu energi dan kapasitas adsorpsi dipelajari.Penelitian diawali dengan identifikasi gugus fungsional yang terdapat pada kitosan secara spektrofotometri Infra Merah. Model Isoterm Adsorpsi Langmuir digunakan untuk menetapkan kapasitas dan energi adsorpsi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas adsorpsi Metil Oranye pada adsorben kitosan adalah sebesar 8,9839 x 10-5 mol/gram kitosan, dan energi adsorpsi adalah 35,8783 KJ/mol.

Abstract

The research of Lesson Study followed by the observation composed by analytical expertise lecturers was conducted. The aims of this activity are to raise the quality of lesson plan  produced  by  the  lecturers,  the  mastering  of  learning  material  for  each  of  lecturers conducting  the Principles  of Analytical Separation  course,  the  knowledge  of  observing the  learning  activity, and motivation  of  lecturer  for  self-developments. The responses of lecturers showed that they acquired a good comprehension, particularly on how the students learning and how lecturers teaching. The others are they got a positive value inside the learning process; they had the ability to improve the learning process systematically through collaborative inquiry and they got knowledge from the other lecturers. Thereby, the Lesson Study activity had to be experienced the benefi t by the analytical expertise lecturers. From the obtained results, it is suggested that the lesson study would be applied continually and collaboratively, so we could gain various benefi ts such as collegiality strengthening and the reinforcement of daily learning activity related to the long term purposes.Keywords: lesson study; process quality; learning result

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dalam rangka mengkomparasikan hasil belajar kimia bagisiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran melalui metode Think-Pair-Share dengan siswa yangmendapatkan pembelajaran melalui metode ekspositori pada pokok bahasan kelarutan danhasil kali kelarutan di kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Brebes. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambilmelalui teknik random cluster. Kelas eksperimen 1 mendapatkan pembelajaran denganmetode Think-Pair-Share sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 mendapatkan pembelajarandengan metode ekspositori. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes (untuk aspekkognitif), observasi (untuk aspek psikomotorik) dan angket (untuk aspek affektif). Hasilanalisis data menunjukkan: untuk aspek kognitif rerata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen1 = 75,4 dan s = 8,4, dan rerata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen 2 = 70,8 dan s = 6,7,melalui uji t satu pihak rerata hasil belajar kelompok 1 lebih baik dibandingkan reratahasil belajar kelompok 2 (α = 5%). Hasil belajar aspek afektif ( x1 = 82,80 dan 2 = 77,57),sedangkan hasil belajar aspek psikomotorik (1 =78,32 dan 2 = 75,59) Simpulan penelitianini adalah hasil belajar kimia metode Think-Pair-Share lebih baik daripada pembelajaranmetode ekspositori.Kata Kunci: think-pair-share, ekspositori

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari penerapan metodekasus menggunakan media audio-visual terhadap hasil belajar kimia ditinjau berdasarkanaspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelasXI IPA. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak menggunakan teknik cluster randomsampling yaitu kelas XI IPA-4 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuandengan menerapkan metode kasus menggunakan media audio-visual setelah dilakukanuji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil uji estimasi rata-rata diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajarkelompok eksperimen antara 74,24-78,54 dan kelompok kontrol antara 66,08-70,94 danberdasarkan hasil uji estimasi proporsi siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar padakelompok eksperimen berkisar antara 93,7%-100%, sedangkan pada kontrol berkisarantara 63%-89%. Berdasarkan hasil uji ketuntasan belajar diperoleh persentase ketuntasanbelajar klasikal untuk kelompok eksperimen sebesar 98% dan kelompok kontrol sebesar76%. Adapun hasil observasi terhadap ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotorik diperoleh nilairata-rata siswa pada kelompok eksperimen e” 65, sedangkan berdasarkan hasil angkettanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran, siswa yang menjawab termotivasi untuk belajarsebesar 78,05% dan 17,07% tidak termotivasi. Siswa juga merasa senang untuk belajarsebesar 75,6% dan yang tidak merasa senang sebesar 10,76%. Kata Kunci: metode kasus, media audio-visual

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir generik inferensialogika mahasiswa calon guru kimia dalam pembelajaran Praktikum Kimia Dasar denganstrategi learning cycle. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jurusan Kimia FMIPA UNNES. Subjekpenelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Kimia tahun akademik 2008/2009. Sebagaifokus penelitian adalah prestasi belajar mahasiswa untuk mengungkapkan perbedaan tingkatpemahaman konsep dan keterampilan generik inferensia logika. Penelitian didesain sebagaipenelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan tahapan PIOR. Dalamsetiap siklus diterapkan strategi Learning Cycle 5E (engagement, exploration, explaination,extension, evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data berupa soalpretes dan postes dengan bentuk soal pilihan benar salah diikuti alasan atas jawaban,sedangkan instrumen nontes berupa lembar observasi dan angket tanggapan mahasiswaterhadap model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan bahwapengembangan model pembelajaran praktikum kimia dasar dengan strategi learning cyclemampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep-konsep kimia dasar dan keterampilan generiksains inferensia logika bagi calon guru kimia. Hal ini berarti pembelajaran praktikum kimiadasar dengan strategi learning cycle telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatankualitas pembelajaran Praktikum Kimia Dasar dan keterampilan generik sains inferensi logikabagi mahasiswa calon guru kimia. Kata kunci: learning cycle, keterampilan generik sains, inferensia logika

Abstract

This study aims to diagnose the misconceptions on the molecular structure of matter and investigate the use of learning cycle approach to minimize misconceptions of students on such materials. This research was conducted on students of chemistry education Prodi in one of LPTK in semester one academic year 2009/2010. Data collection techniques used are claim forms diagnostic tests misconception right/ wrong reason given before and after lessons, interviews, and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis by way of analyzing the peritem about to be concluded. Results showed that happened on student misconceptions contained in the concept drawing Lewis structures, the determination of polar and non polar, the determination of the geometrical structure based on VSEPR theory and the theory hibrisasi, distinguish between the geometrical structure of the molecular shape, determine the electron configuration for the molecule, and calculate the bond order (b) Frequency of students who have misconceptions have been reduced after being given the study by Learning Cycle approach. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design assessment instrument to evaluate science generic skill (SGS) achievement and chemistry literacy in ethnoscience-integrated chemistry learning. The steps of tool designing refers to Plomp models including 1) Investigation Phase (Prelimenary Investigation); 2) Designing Phase (Design);  3) Construction/Realization Phase (Realization/Construction) ; 4) Test, Evaluation and Revision Phase. (Test, Evaluation and Revision).  To test the validity of assessment instrument, it was used content validity by three experts as validators, while to test the practical, it was used questionnaire which were given to 22 college students of food ingredients chemistry that is integrated of ethno-science and two supporting lecturers. The result of content validity showed that assessment tool which was developed was valid stated by experts with the reliability coefficient was 0,72. Every lecturers and 21 students gave positive response, so it can be concluded that developed assessment instrument was practice to use.

Abstract

The challenges of education in the era of the industrial revolution include disruption 4.0, 21st-century skills, globalization, and global competition. Chemistry is a subject that needs to be developed in order to improve the educational system in the era of disruption. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the needs of the media-based chemistry study ICT at grade X redox materials in State Senior Highschool 8 Semarang during the disruption. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method which consists of the study of literature and the study of the field. Method of data collection is done through observation, question form, documentation, interview teachers, as well as interview students. This research instrument consisting of a sheet of observation, question form, and sheet interview. The results showed that chemical-based learning media limited ICT in State Senior Highschool 8 Semarang redox materials especially in class X. That is because of the teacher's difficulty in innovating to develop learning media chemistry-based ICT and lack of student understanding and literacy in the study of chemical materials. Teachers play an important role in order to educate the students towards the era of disruption. In this era of chemical subjects not only taught students with literacy (reading, writing, math) but the need for a new form of literacy the literacy data, technology, and human resources in order to overcome learning difficulties and improving students learning outcomes for better value.

Abstract

The research is a development research that aims to produce a product in the form of an instrument to detect chemical misconceptions in the buffer solution material. The research method used is the 4-D method, namely: Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The two tiers choice diagnostic test instrument product is in the form of 20 multiple choice questions. Data collection techniques were carried out with content validation sheets by material experts, difficulty level tests and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results of the content validity test by evaluation experts showed that diagnostic test questions were declared feasible to be used as an instrument for detecting high school students' misconceptions on the subject of buffer solution material with a total score of 105 and material experts with a total score of 145. questions, questions that are currently 6 items, and problems that are difficult there are 7 items. The results of the percentage of the average score obtained from the questionnaire seen from the aspect of practicality, readability and time in working on the problem resulted in 79.85%, 78.58% and 74.11% aspects. The conclusions of this study were two tiers choice diagnostic test instruments suitable for use as an instrument to detect high school students' misconceptions on the subject of buffer solution material.
