Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the feeding effect of diets containing different ratio of ?-3 and ?-6 fatty acids and organic Zn on egg production and quality of Magelang duck. A total of 90 ducks of 20 weeks old were randomly divided into 18 experimental units by assigning a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. There were 6 dietary treatments, namely 1) ration without palm oil, fish oil and organic Zn with the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1: 5 (R0), 2) ration with the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1: 1.5 + 200 ppm organic Zn (R1), 3) ration with  the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1: 3 + 200 ppm organic Zn (R2), 4) ration with  the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1: 4.5 + 200 ppm organic Zn (R3), 5) ration with  the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1: 6 + 200 ppm organic Zn (R4), 6) ration with  the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 was 1 : 7.5 + 200 ppm organic Zn  (R5). Observation was carried out for 9 wk. The results showed that the ration containing the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 = 1 : 3 and organic Zn (R2) produced significantly (P<0.05) the highest egg production and the lowest egg production was resulted by the dietary treatment without oil and organic Zn. Ration containing the ratio of ?-3 : ?-6 = 1: 3 and organic Zn (R2) significantly (P<0.05) decreased feed conversion ratio to the lowest value and it was significantly different as compared to R0 and R5. It can be concluded that feeding diet containing ?-3 and ?-6 with the ratio of 1:3 + 200 ppm organic Zn improves egg production without decreasing egg quality.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with sufficiently high ambient temperatures on broiler reaches an average daily temperature of 360C (maximum) and 320 C (minimum) data adjusted BMG Bogor. Industry poultry broiler house seeks to maintain a temperature of about 28-300C. Optimal conditions in a closed houseshould be controlled to allow optimal growth of broilers. Therefore, the required control system that is able to maintain optimum environmental conditions inside the house closed. This study aims to design an ANFIS control system for controlling the temperature inside a broiler house (closed house) for broiler. Data is collected at three different periods of the starter period (5 days): 29.50C-30.900C, a period of 25 days is a grower-29.0C 34.20C, and the finisher of 30 days is obtained 33.20C.Data 290C-processed using the approach ANFIS modeling for simulation of temperature control on closed house for broiler. Set point control simulation using the same temperature 290C for starter period (5 days), grower (25 days) and finisher (30 days). The simulation results show the output in a closed house temperature fluctuates around set point the 290C-340C.

Abstract

Cholin (B-hydroxyethyl-trimethylammonium hydroxide) is a constituent of phospholipids, can interfere the metabolism process that affects the growth. Sometimes cholin in a diet does not meet the animal requirement because of its low availability. The objective of the research was to study the effect of cholin chloride supplementation in the diets on broiler performance. A completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications were used in the experiment on broiler chicks reared up to 6 weeks of age. The treatment diets were R1 (control), R2 (R1 + 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet), R3 (R1+ 1,500 mg cholin chloride/kg diet), R4 (R1+ 2,250 mg cholin chloride/kg diet). All of the prestarter diets (0-2 weeks of age) contained isocaloric (3,000 kcal ME/kg) and isoprotein (24.8% crude protein). The starter-finisher diet (2-6 weeks of age) contained 3,000 kcal ME/kg and 20% crude protein. Supplementation of 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (R2) increased (P < 0.01) body weight gain and final body weight. Supplementation of 1,500 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (R3) and 2,250 mg cholin chloride/kg diet decreased (P < 0.01) body weight gain, final body weight, as well as feed efficiency. It was concluded that supplementation of 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (containing 1,956 mg cholin/kg in prestarter diet and 1,791.3 mg cholin/kg in starter-finisher diet) yielded the best performance of the broilers. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan performan ayam petelur dan kandungan vitamin A dalam telur ayam yang diproduksi dari ayam yang diberi ransum berkadar asam fitat tinggi yang berasal dari dedak padi. Penelitian ini menggunakan 162 ekor ayam petelur strain ISA-Brown umur 18 minggu dan dipelihara sampai umur 33 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial dengan 3 ulangan, masing-masing ulangan terdiri atas 6 ekor ayam. Faktor pertama (A) adalah suplementasi Zn dalam bentuk ZnO (0, 252 dan 567 mg ZnO/kg ransum), faktor kedua (B) adalah suplementasi enzim fitase (0, 300 dan 400 unit fitase/kg ransum). Data performan ayam petelur dianalisis sidik ragam (analyses of variance/ANOVA), sedangkan data vitamin A dalam telur dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi ZnO maupun enzim fitase dalam ransum tidak mempengaruhi produksi telur hen day, konsumsi ransum, konversi ransum dan berat telur. Suplementasi ZnO maupun enzim fitase dalam ransum meningkatkan kandungan vitamin A dalam telur. Telur ayam yang diberi ransum dengan perlakuan suplementasi 252 mg ZnO/kg ransum mengandung vitamin A paling tinggi. Kata kunci : asam fitat, fitase, zinc, vitamin A, ayam petelur

Abstract

The beluntas (Piuchea indica L) leaf powder is one of the herbs species which contains antioxidants (flavonoid, vitamin C and beta-carotene), phytochemical and antinutrients. This study was designed to know the ability of the beluntas on the sensory of meat and duck egg without gave the negative effect on duck performances. The results showed that off-flavor's skinned meat duck were not affected, while off-flavor's duck and salted duck eggs are significantly reduced by 0.5% and 1% of beluntas leaf meal in the feed ration. Fatty acids of yolk eggs and duck meat were higher by giving beluntas leaf meal on the ration than without giving one. This showed that antioxidant on beluntas leaf meal could prevent lipid oxidation. TBA value of duck meat was the lowest by giving 0.5% of beluntas on the ration. The productivity such as egg production and feed conversion were the best by giving 1 °/o of beluntas leaf meal on the ration. Egg weight, quality of eggs; fat and cholesterol of yolk were not affected. A higher nutrient digestibilities (protein, energy, Ca and P) was obtained in duck eating 1.0% beluntas leaves (Psmall intestines. Abstract

 AbstractClassroom management is a conscious effort to plan, organize, actualize and to control or supervision of the programs and activities in the classroom so that the learning process can take place in a systematic, effective, and efficient, so all of the potential that learners have can be optimized. The method used in this research is descriptive and using qualitative research approach. The technique used in this research is interview, observation and documentation. Subjects in this study are four classroom teachers of group B Suster Kindergarten Pontianak. From the results of the research and discussion of this study, it can be concluded that 1) In planning the classroom management, the teacher has prepared the classroom well enough, neat and clean. 2) In organizing the classroom the teacher is doing well enough, the teacher has formed a child seat group. 3) When the teachers do the implementation of classroom management is well enough, the teachers interact with all of the children, so the children will be active in following the learning process in the classroom.4) In conducting supervision of classroom management, the teacher has done well enough, because the researcher watches the teacher to supervise each learner. 5) The problem faced was because of the absence of companion teachers who help and lack of learning media.Keywords:Classroom Management, Learning

Abstract

Our previous study showed that the addition of water extracted beluntas leaf into drinking water could be used as an anti-stress and improved performance of broiler chicken. However, the addition was only up to 10% of drinking water. The objective of this experiment was to study whether the addition of sugar and water extracted beluntas leaf in levels higher than 10% of drinking water can give greater benefit on performances and meat cholesterol content of broiler. Two hundred sixteen DOCs CP707 strain were reared for four weeks in high stocking density of 15 birds/m2. The birds were subjected to experimental drinking waters with or without water extracted beluntas leaf (v/v) and sugar which is consisted of T1 (only drinking water), T2 (drinking water + commercial antistress), T3 (drinking water + 10% extract of beluntas leaf ), T4 (drinking water + 20% extract of beluntas leaf), T5 (drinking water + 40% extract of beluntas leaf), T6 (drinking water + 80% extract of beluntas leaf), T7 (drinking water + 40% extract of beluntas leaf + 1.6% sugar), and T8 (drinking water 80% extract of beluntas leaf + 3.1% sugar). The results showed that water extracted beluntas leaf addition higher than 10% significantly reduced (P &lt; 0.05) body weight gain, final body weight, and increased (P &lt; 0.05) feed conversion ratio. It is concluded that the addition of water extracted beluntas leaf more than 10% into drinking water cannot give greater benefit on performances as an antistress of broiler. Sugar addition cannot help the disadvantage due to the bitter taste of higher level of water extracted beluntas leaf addition.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether attitude, subjective norm, behavioral control,and trust affect the intention to repurchase in general insurance policy. This researchwas conducted at PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Surabaya Corporation Branch.This study was collected the data by using purposive sampling technique with certain conditions.This study uses multiple regression linear analysis. The findings of this study indicatethat attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral control and trust affect the intention torepurchase in general insurance policy. Trust is the most dominant variable in influencingintention to repurchase general insurance policy. The results of this research prove that trustis a key variable that can form intends customer confidence to repurchase.Keywords: attitude, subjective norm, behavioral control, trust, intention to repurchase, general insurance

Abstract

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of dietary addition Pluchea indica L. leaf meal on performances and meat cholesterol content of broiler. One hundred sixty two DOC CP707 strain were reared for four weeks in high stocking density of 15 birds/m2. The birds were fed experimental diets consisted of R1 (commercial feed + Vitastress), R2 (commercial feed + 2% P. indica leaf meal), R3 (commercial feed + 4% P. indica leaf meal), R4 (commercial feed + 6% P. indica leaf meal), and R5 (commercial feed + 8% P. indica leaf meal). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and any significant differences were further tested using least significance difference (LSD) test. The treatment significantly increased (P &lt; 0.05) final body weight, body weight gain, feed and water intake, and decreased (P &lt; 0.05) feed conversion ratio.  It is concluded that P. indica leaf meal could be added into a diet at the level of 2%. P. indica leaf meal addition at the level of 2% into a diet is also able to decrease the cholesterol content of broiler meat up to 8%.
