Abstract

One of the alternative institution that distributes productive fund to the community in need is the ?Amil Zakat? Institution.  The community-based Misykat, which belongs to the institution, is Dompet Peduli Umat Daarut Tauhid (DPUDT), which not only contributes the rolling fund but also establishes mental and character building as its main product. It also delivers business management to a self-supporting community, and  create a new working environment for the local community. The objectives of this study are, firstly, to analyze the implementation of the Misykat Program for the empowerment of micro-businesses in Bogor, based on the achievement of the program, and secondly, to analyze the most influencing strategy of the Misykat Program in Bogor, based on the priority scale.  The data collecting was conducted through literature study, standard operation of the Misykat Program, and data implementation of the program in Bogor as the secondary data collecting.  The primary data collecting was obtained through interview with the management, and through questionnaire input from members. The data analysis was executed through the descriptive and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis using Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), Internal-External (IE) and SWOT matrix.  The last stage of the strategy formulation was the decision in using the Quantitative Strategic Planning (QSP) matrix. The study showed that 30 people joined the Misykat Program, and that there were still no significant changes in the economic welfare of its members.  However, there was an increase in the accumulation of members?  saving and reserved fund, and their economic productivity, caused by a creativity enhancement in developing business.  In the Nurul Qomar Council, the distributed fund was more effective compared to that in the Al-Ikhlas Council. There was a paradigm shift in the members?  way of thinking as a result of an intensive community establishment.  Unfortunately, no member has become ?Muzakki? yet because their earnings have not reached ?nishab?.  Meanwhile, the most applicable strategies are enhancing the quality of service, education and supervision to the members

Abstract

Artificial Insemination Agency (AIA) Lembang  is one of frozen semen producer in Indonesia. AIA Lembang as the first received mandate from Government of Indonesia to produce frozen semen of beef cattle and dairy cattle in order to fulfill the of Artificial Insemination (AI) in Indonesia hopefully that Indonesia doesn?t always depend on imported frozen semen. The purposes of these research are (1) to identify and analysis external and internal factors that influence marketing of frozen semen of beef cattle from AIA Lembang, (2) to compile and formulate marketing strategy of frozen semen of beef cattle regarding product, price, promotion and distribution. In this research, identifying internal and external factors that influence marketing of frozen semen of beef cattle were done at AIA Lembang. Based on internal factors (strengths and weakness) and owned by AIA Lembang and external factors (opportunities and threats) facing by AIA Lembang, marketing strategy of frozen semen of beef cattle were formulated by using IFE and EFE matrixs. IFE score for AIA Lembang is 2,944 and EFE score is 2,316. Total score in EFE matrix is describing and identifying that company is in stable position in responding to  external situation. Total score for IFE matrix is 2,944, shows that the strength owned by AIA Lembang can over come it weakness  fairly enough. Total score EFE matrix is 2,316, shows that AIA Lembang good enough in responding to opportunity and minimize threat. The combination of IFE and EFE scoring in IE matrix shows that AIA Lembang position is in quadrant V namely stability and growth cell. It means that AIA Lembang is stable condition. The good strategies for this region are market penetration and  product development. Using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) produce 7 alternative strategy formula. Based on calculation in QSP matrix, the most interesting strategy produced is increase socialization and supervision to farmers on  maintainance, feeding and reproduction management as well as animal health management.

Abstract

Broiler farming business is inseparable from several obstacles encountered. The obstacles are the high risk faced by broiler breeding business such as the risk of price fluctuation, both input prices such as DOC, feedmill and medicines as well as selling price of livebird and carcass fluctuation. Another risk faced by broiler farming is the production risk caused by weather, climate, diseases and social risks. The purpose of this research was (1) to describe factors faced by CV Missouri in marketing broiler DOC, (2) to describe the strategy run by CV Missouri in coping with factors in the marketing of broiler DOC, and (3) to determine the alternative form of marketing strategy developed by CV Missouri in marketing broiler DOC. CV Missouri?s strategic position based on IE matrix is in quadrant V. It means that the company has a good growth strategy and stability. Moreover, marketing strategies of DOC in CV Missouri based on SWOT analysis are (a) expanding network marketing optimally; b) creating a better DOC by increasing productivity; and (c) increasing the company's capital to compete with competitors, therefore additional capital is required to make market opportunities wider. Alternative strategies which could be implemented by CV Missouri based on QSP matrix analisys are (1) keeping and maintaining the quality of products produced, (2) improving services and consumers loyalties.

Abstract

Study of Shoes Small Middle Enterprises (SME) Quality Management is held through case study in PD. Anugerah Hero Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor.  This study is intend to: (a) knowing about applied level of quality management system in PD. Anugerah Hero, (b) knowing activities done by PD. Anugerah Hero to guarantee it?s product quality, (c) evaluating product quality performance, (d) analyzing how quality cost performance in PD. Anugerah Hero. Determining quality management system practices held by matching quality attempt applied to characteristic quality management system as conducted by Muhandri and Kadarisman. Identification of quality activity held according the Juran Trilogy. Evaluating quality performance held for number of defect product, number of reject/return product, Finishing time late and quality cost analysis. Result of study indicating that the most fit quality management system applied if compared to characteristic of quality management system applied according to Muhandri and Kadarisman is Foreman Quality Control. The activities of quality management held is including; knowing the needs and consumer terms, and designing process and instrument for shoes making for quality planning aspect. The quality management aspect is by compiling standard and specification, using model, mold and pattern and also doing sortation qualitatively by visual inspection. The  quality improving aspect is only for doing benchmarking in relatively large shoes industry and duplicating a new model from ?mall?, books and magazine. The number of products rejected, especially by abroad customer is ranged between 11,1% ? 17,7% by average 15,9 of the number of order.  Slowness of finishing time due to the order is on average of 3,8 days or 7,0% compared to order time. The number of order late is about 50%.  The quality cost identified is only external failed cost for down grading, is that, about Rp50.415.000 for 11 order in 2007, quality cost index due to the selling omzet is about 2,37%

Abstract

The production of Siam-catfish (Pangasianodon hypopthalmus) seeds in Subang, West Java can not meet the market demand yet. The production of Siam-catfish seeds need to be improved especially by the main supplier namely the North Branch of Marine and fisheries service of West Java province (CDKPWU) with a partnership pattern between core and plasma. The purposes of this study were to identify internal and external factors that influence the marketing of Siam-catfish seeds with a network system between CDKPWU and partners, to identify advantages and disadvantages in the network process that occurs between CDKPWU and the partners, and trying to develop the most effective business and marketing srategy of Siam-catfish seeds in order to reach maximum output and outcome. The methods used in this study were as follows: (1) Valuable, Rare, Imitate to Cost and Organized Analysis (VRIO), (2) Political-Legal, Economic, Social, Technology  Analysis (PEST), (3) Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE), (4) External Factor Evaluation Matrix (EFE), (5) Internal External (IE) Matrix, (6) Analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) and (7) Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) Analysis. The result of IFE and EFE matrix indicated that the company's position was stable in response to external situation. The total score of IFE matrix was 3.38, indicating that the strength of CDKPWU can overcome weaknesses very well. The total score of EFE matrix was 2.59, describing that CDKPWU was good enough in responding to opportunities and minimizing threats. The results of the SWOT analysis show nine alternative strategy formulations in which three alternative formulation priorities were (1) Expanding the production partnership network to increase production and increase community income, (2) Maintaining good seed quality and production process technology, (3) Utilizing partnerships to establish good relationship and communication with relevant agencies. Based on the QSPM matrix analysis, the priority strategies are obtained to be implemented, namely expanding the production partnership network to increase production and increase community income

Abstract

The aims of livestock development is to increase both quality and quantity production, in the same time, ensure the safety of the product. The consumers need to concern about food safety of livestock products because it is related to human’s health. The research was conducted to determine food safety of dairy condition by detecting heavy metal on fresh milk produce by Kebon Pedes Dairy Farm. This research was utilited survey method and cases study and the result analyzed descriptively. The parameters measured are heavy metal Plumbum (Pb) and Arsenic (As) contents by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) machine. The result of the study indicated that Pb and As undetected in fresh milk. That’s value lower than standar maxsimum limit according SNI 01-3141-1998 were 0,3 ppm and 0,5 ppm.

Abstract

Milkfish is a fish belonging to the Chanidae tribe which is spread throughout most parts of Indonesia. The method used in determining respondents is purposive sampling method. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, there are four strategies were obtained in increasing the competitiveness of processed milkfish include; (a) developing a sustainable milkfish agribusiness system and business, (b) building a business system that is competitive, synergistic, mutually beneficial and technology focused on efficiency, (c) institutional, partnership and integrated development of integrated processed fish SMEs, and (d) government involvement in policies in the form of regulations which favor the improvement of milkfish processed SME s in Serang City.The result QSPM analysis found that the alternative strategy which becomes the main priority to increased competitiveness of processed milkfish in Serang City is building a competitive business system, synergy, mutual benefit and technology focus for eficiency

Abstract

Implementation of integrated cow system with biogas technology approach is one of efficient technology for cow waste treatment. The technology is using available natural microorganism to compose and process various organic matters on anaerobe condition. This will produce methane gas (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) and qualified liquid and solid organic manure. The methane gas (CH4) can be use as gas fuel (BBG). Biogas production may contribute to sustainable agriculture as renewable resources and environmental friendly. The research was aimed to analyze feasibility of biogas as alternative energy sources on farmer?s individual and group basis. Particularly, the research?s objectives are : (a) to study  waste treatment performance  with biogas installation at research?s site; (b) to analyze feasibility of biogas development as alternative energy sources on farmer?s individual and group basis; (c) to analyze sensitivity of biogas development on cost component and the benefit to treat waste at four  different sites; (d) to identify intern and extern affecting that affect of biogas installation; and (e) to determine appropriate alternative strategy in the biogas installation development  for farmer.  The biogas reactor can be constructed both by cement and fiberglass. Biogas reactor from fiberglass is more effective and produces higher and better gas. Study at the four locations both on individual and group basis  by using  liquid and solid organic manure are contribute to increase farmer?s income.  Result of financial feasibility analysis with biogas digester capacity 5 m3 and 17 m3 and interest rate 17% shows that biogas installation project is feasible to be implemented and developed. Investment cost to construct biogas installation is Rp 19.800.000. Financial feasibility criteria for NPV individual biogas and 30 years project life are Rp 35.173.048, B/C ratio (2,018) and IRR (31%). Feasibility criteria for NPV group biogas and 30 years project life is Rp 259.882.871, B/C ratio (3,787) and IRR (60%).  According to the calculation of switching value, the project is sensitive on variable cost and selling price changing in the revenue.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the general strategy used CV. Intan Jaya Abadi (CV IJA) conditions in the industrial poultry farm in Sukabumi. In particular, this study aims to identify and analyze the marketing strategies of poultry farm on the CV IJA that includes aspects of supply and demand, market share, value added, financial performance, technical marketing and marketing costs and preparing the appropriate marketing strategy for managing CV IJA develop animal husbandry and poultry. Method used in this research is descriptive method, that is done to the data problems that exist and the form of research is a case study. Primary data obtained from the questionnaires and interviews with experts (business owners, marketing manager and production manager) and secondary data obtained from financial reports and product marketing company that processed data using the appropriate analysis tool, that is descriptive analysis, analysis internal and external (IE), IE matrix and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunitis and Threats (SWOT) matrix. Based on the identification and analysis of CV IJA success factors have remained so stable and growing among; supply and demand still high, the scope of local market still Java (90%) and West Java (10%) but can increase sales turnover, value added form of the plan companies to build the future with chicken slaughter house (RPA), the financial condition of both structures (liquid, solvable and profitable), the company has been making efficiency, the company obtained from the daily old chiken (DOC) it self, the company continues to invest to expand production capacity. Based on the analysis of marketing strategies that have been done using IE matrix, the position of marketing poultry products and eggs in the CV IJA Sukabumi is located on the quadrant II (grow and build), has the strength and the opportunities greater than the weaknesses and threat, marketing strategy and CV IJA still relevant to the environmental changes at this time. Applied strategy in the future a strategy of intensive growth or aggressive (Growth Oriented Strategy) with the strength to take advantage of the opportunities through the maintenance of product quality, production capacity, the development of scale and increase the availability of raw materials. Based on the SWOT analysis, they are then some alternative strategies provided as follows: (1) maintain and expand existing markets, (2) maintain a commitment to the management of quality products and continue to try the program to all employees, (3) doing the campaign effectively and efficient, (4) Improve the performance of marketing in analyzing the market demand, (5) Maintain and keep the quality product produced to increase customer loyalty, (6) increase collaboration with suppliers, (7) maintain the selling price in the market and (8) to improve distribution channels.

Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze level of interest, identify significant predictor for intention to purchase, analyze level of uniqueness, analyze level of concordance and develop marketing strategy for wafer complete ration. The research design used judgmental sampling to select 30 respondent in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and ordinal regression. The result showed that wafer complete ration concept was well received. This is indicated by the level of interest (57%) of farmers to the concept. However, there are only 47% of farmers who have a desire to buy a wafer complete ration. Predictors variable that increasing level of willingness to buy are level of uniqueness, whether or not never use agriculture waste and the most usage of feed. While the other predictor variables influence to decrease level of willingness to buy are level of concordance between concepts and needs, level of interest, whether or not never heard about wafer complete ration, number of cattle and the last length of cattle business. Marketing strategies include product development, prices in the range of Rp4500 to Rp5500, the distribution system will be used broken off sell and promotion strategies with more emphasis on activities below the line
