Abstract

Abstract: The use of Model Learning Technique Think Pair Share In Improving Student Learning IPS SDN 1 Sidogede Class IV Academic Year 2013/2014. The purpose of this study is to describe the steps in an effort to increase learning social studies, knowing the increase in learning social studies, and to discover the challenges and solutions in order to enhance social studies learning through cooperative model think pair share technique. The experiment was conducted in three cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were fourth grade students. Sources of data used in this study were students, teachers, and observers. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques and triangulation of data collection techniques. The conclusions of this study are learning social studies in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Sidogede school year 2013/2014 can be enhanced through cooperative model think pair share technique.      Keywords: think pair share, learning, IPS Abstrak: Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Teknik Think Pair Share Dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran IPS Siswa Kelas IV SDN 1 Sidogede Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah dalam upaya peningkatan pembelajaran IPS, mengetahui peningkatan pembelajaran IPS, dan untuk menemukan kendala dan solusi dalam upaya peningkatan pembelajaran IPS melalui model kooperatif teknik think pair share. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru, dan observer. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik pengumpulan data. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Sidogede tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dapat ditingkatkan melalui model kooperatif teknik think pair share. Kata kunci: think pair share, pembelajaran, IPS

Abstract

Dodol Pisang Awa is a newly introduced local banana-based product. Several basic studies are necessary in introducing the new product to the prospective producers and consumers. Studies conducted were consumer preference level, shelf life determination and business feasibility analysis. Result showed that the taste of Dodol Pisang Awa is accepted at level 4 (hedonic scale of 1-5) followed by the aroma, overall appearance, texture, and colour. The shelf life was limited to 10 days at room temperature, transparent HDPE packaging. Feasibility analysis suggested that the business plan is feasible at profitability value of 0.77 and business efficiency of 1.77.

Abstract

Aging is a natural and spontaneous phenomenon which occurs during storage of dry grain, involving physical changes and chemical that would alter the quality of the cooking, processing, taste and nutritional value as well as affect the commercial value of rice.  Naturally aging takes a long time between 6-12 months so it is less economical. Aging may be accelerated by increasing the grain moisture content and storage temperature. Freshly harvested rough rice   contains high moisture content ranging between 21-26% and respiration  activity is still high which generate heat that can be accumulated by the packaging, so the grain temperature increases. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of packaging which can increase the temperature and RH storage, milling yield and head rice yield. Grain varieties used are Siam Pandak with five types of packaging, ie black plastic bags, sacks, cans, wood and tarpaulin, and stored for 72 hours. As a control, direct drying grain harvest is used. Observations are including temperature and RH in packaging, milling recovery and head rice yields. The results showed that all types of packaging used can increase the temperature and RH in the packaging than the temperature and RH in storage space. The most high milling recovery obtained from black plastic packaging, while the head rice yields all kinds of packaging meets the quality criteria V ISO 6128-2008 except wood packaging, although based on the percentage of head rice, tarpaulins packaging has the highest head rice.

Abstract

Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana) is one of commodities widely grown in indonesia and undergo development production a rapid progress .Production plantation the people plants candlenut in 2014 reached 107,3 thousand tons (bps, 2014). Charcoal active are carbon already activated so pores open so retention is greater than the charcoal ordinary .The purpose of this research is to determine variety of and concentration activator chemical the best in the process activation so that can improve the quality of the active charcoal shells fruit candlenut produced. Design experiments used in in this research is a random a group (a shelf ) consisting of 2 factors , namely factors 1 is the type activator chemical ( j ) and factors 2 is the concentration of a solution activator ( a knockout ) .Of two factors obtained 9 kind of combination those who each experienced remedial treatment as much as two times order to obtain 18 unit treatment. The best treatment in this research was naoh 15 % that can be seen from the results of the parameter levels of carbon bound and absorption capacity iod more better than other treatment

Abstract

Biobriquette a solid fuel that can be used as an alternative energy source that has a certain shape, Manufacture biobriket from agricultural waste shell rubber seeds and shell hazelnut can be done by adding adhesive, where the raw materials charred beforehand then crushed, mixed adhesives, printed by the system hydraulic or manual, and then dried. This research was conducted with two factor randomized block design (RBD) first factor comparison Biobriquette making material (rubber seed shells and shells Pecan) and the second factor is the adhesive tapioca konsentration (8%, 10% and 12%) 15 combination trials with replications per 2 times to obtain 30 units experimental unit. The  best treatment results in this study produced a 30:70 ratio between the shell and the shell pecan rubber seed with adhesive concentration of 10% which resulted in calorific value of 6609.32 Cal / g, 3.90% moisture content and ash content of 6.10%.

Abstract

Indonesia is now importing the fruits in quantities large enough to meet food needs, but each region in Indonesia has the potential of local fruit with high nutritional value. South Kalimantan is one of the areas rich in biological resources, including exotic fruits. Exotic fruits have not been widely known and most have not been used optimally. Based on its chemical characteristics of South Kalimantan's exotic fruits show potential for development as refined products in order to develop agroindustry and also for the development of functional food sources that are beneficial to health. Fruit is examined in this study include kasturi, mangosteen, balangkasua, kapul, kakalayu, ramania, gitaan mata kucing and katiau. Preliminary analysis conducted on nutrition of fruit, including analysis of water content, fat, protein, ash, fiber, carbohydrates, total acid, and vitamin C. Test results showed the typical exotic fruits contain fiber and vitamin C is quite good, the fruits can be studied further as a source of functional food. Most of the fruit pulp at small amount and hard to eat so there is potential for utilization as well the skin and seeds of fruit.

Abstract

Cyrstal palm sugar was one product diversification of palm sugar that utilization continues to grow and is expected to reduce its dependence on white sugar. Crystal palm sugar can be processed from the sap of palm or palm sugar product which melted. Utilization palm sugar as a raw material is one way to reduce excess palm sugar, but on the other hand is rather difficult to control the quality of raw materials. Wide variations in the quality of the palm sugar will also cause the palm sugar crystal products are diverse as well. Palm sugar produced by different producer will produce different quality. This research was conducted  how difference between the quality of raw materials and their effects on quality crystal palm sugar. This study showed that some producer producing different quality and this affects the quality of palm sugar crystals obtained. Average moisture content, ash content and insoluble solids content in raw material palm sugar were 12.82%, 12.82%, 12:13% and 3.70%, while the products of palm sugar crystals were 6.33%, 0.24% and 5.06%. Quality criteria of crystal palm sugar that are still beyond the SNI standard where the standard maximum moisture content of 3% and insoluble solids content should be a maximum of 1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the type of packaging and storage time on the chemical composition and rice cooking quality by utilizing the respiration generated heat of freshly harvested rice. “Siam Pandak” variety of freshly harvested rice stored in black plastic bag and tarpaulin with storage time of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 days. The results showed that the accumulation of respiration heat of freshly harvested rice during storage is only capable of raising the temperature in the packaging up to 28 – 31°C, slightly higher than room temperature ranging between 26 – 29°C. Types of packaging and storage time could increase water absorption capacity, protein and fiber contents; and reduce fat and carbohydrate contents. The increase in water absorption capacity was obtained in black plastic bag with storage time of one day, which amounted to 298.27% (an increase of 27.74% compared to control), the highest protein content with storage time of two days with a protein content of 8.56% (an increase of 7.31% compared to control), fiber content in the tarp packaging with storage time of five days, which amounted to 2.40% (an increase of 96.46% compared to control).

Abstract

Selective hydrogenation of dodecanoic acid over supported bimetallic Ni-Sn alloy catalysts into dodecane-1-ol is demonstrated. Bimetallic nickel-tin supported on titanium oxide (Ni-Sn(1.5)/TiO2) and gamma-alumina (Ni-Sn(1.5)/g-Al2O3); 1.5 = Ni/Sn molar ratio) were synthesized via hydrothermal method in a sealed-Teflon autoclave reactor at 150 oC for 24 h, then followed by reducing with hydrogen gas at 400 oC for 1.5 h. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by means of XRD, IC-AES, N2-adsorption (BET method), H2-chemisorption, and NH3-TPD. Bimetallic Ni-Sn(1.5)/TiO2 catalyst was found to be effective for hydrogenation of dodecanoic acid (>99 % conversion) to dodecane-1-ol (93% yield) at 160 oC, 30 bar H2, and 20 h and the highest dodecane-1-ol (97 % yield) was obtained at initial pressure of H2, 50 bar. An increase of reaction temperature slightly enhanced the degree of hydrodeoxygenation of dodecanoic acid to produce dodecane over both Ni-Sn(1.5)/TiO2 and Ni-Sn(1.5)/g-Al2O3 catalysts. Abstract

Tanjung Tedung Coastal Coast is located in Tanjung Pura Village, Sungai Selan Subdistrict, Bangka Tengah. Regency which has the potential to be developed into a mangrove ecowista area, because almost along the coastal area is overgrown with ecosystem mengrove. This study aims to identify the potential of mangrove ecosystems and calculate the Tourist Compatibility Index (IKW) potential of mangrove area as ecotourism area of mangrove. The data were collected from March to April 2018 in Tanjung Tedung Coastal Coast. The research method used is Purposive Sampling. Research area taken as many as 3 stations. The data analysis is based on tourism conformity index matrix (IKW). Data of mangrove tourism conformity parameter consisting of: mangrove thickness, mangrove density, mangrove species, tidal and biota object. The result of measurement of mangrove tourism match parameters are thickness at station I worth 303,57 m, station II worth 366,57 m and station III worth 1,061,44 m. Density of station I with value 0.11 ind / m². Station II worth 0.10 ind / m² and station III with value 0.16 ind / m². Found 9 Species of mangroves and other biota such as: fish, shrimp, crab, molluscs, reptiles, birds and other biota. The result of conformity analysis to be used as ecotourism area with IKW value of station I worth 78.95% with Appropriate category. Furthermore at station II IKW value is 78.95% with Appropriate category. and station III got the value of IKW worth 96.05% with category Very
