Abstract

This research aimed to find out the influence of problem-based learning model on student?s mathematics problem solving ability. The design of this research was posttest only control  group design. This research population was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 1 Pagelaran in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into ten classes. This research samples were students of VIII1 and VIII3 class who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematics problem solving ability which were analyzed by Mann-Whitney test. Based on analysis of data, it concluded that problem solving learning model affects on student?s mathematics problem solving ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Pagelaran tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 dan VIII3 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang dianalisis menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: konvensional, model PBL, pemecahan masalah matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model types think pair share towards learner?s mathematical concept comprehension. The population of this research was learners of grade VIII of Junior High School of Tri Sukses Natar in academic year of 2018/2019 as much as 85 learners that were distributed into four classes, that are VIII A until VIII D. The sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique and it was chosen learners of VIII C and VIII D as samples. The design which was used in this research was the non equivalent control group design. Research data were obtained through test of ma­thematical concept comprehension. The data analysis which was used was . The result of this research show that mathe­matical concept comprehension of learner who follow learning with cooperative learning model types TPS higher than mathematical concept comprehension of learner who follow learning with non-TPS model.  Based on the results and dicussion, the conclusion of the research is the cooperative learning model types TPS model was influence to learner?s mathematical concept comprehension. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Tri Sukses Natar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 85 peserta didik yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas, mulai dari VIII A hingga VIII D.  Pengam­bilan sam­­pel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan terpilih peserta didik pada kelas VIII C dan VIII D sebagai sampel. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan non equivalent control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji . Hasil dari penelitian ini me­nunjukkan bahwa pe­ma­haman kon­sep matematis peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe TPS lebih tinggi dari pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik yang me­ngikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran non-TPS. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, diperoleh simpulan bahwa model kooperatif tipe TPS ber­pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik.Kata kunci: model kooperatif, pemahaman konsep, think pair share

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of conceptual attainment model towards student?s mathematical conceptual understanding ability in grade eighth students of Junior High School state 13 Bandarlampung in academic year 2012/2013. The population was all grade eighth students of Junior High School state 13 Bandarlampung in academic year 2012/2013. The samples were students of VIIIG as experiment class and VIIIK as control class. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling technique. This research used post-test only control group design. Based on the result of research,it was concluded that the implementation of conceptual attainment model influences student?s mathematical conceptual understanding ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model peraihan konsep terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 13 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel dalam peneli­ti­­­­­­­­­an ini­ adalah siswa kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII K se­­­­­­bagai kelas kontrol.  Sampel dipilih melalui tek­nik­ pur­po­­­­sive sampling­. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control group design. Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model of think talk write (TTW) type viewed by the increasing of student`s mathematical communication ability. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of Junior High School 3 Jati Agung, even semester in academic year of 2014/2015 which was distributed into five classes, then it was chosen two classes as samples by purposive random sampling technique. The design which was used was a pre-test post-test control group. Based on the analysis of data, cooperative learning model of TTW type was less effective to increase student`s mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write (TTW) ditinjau dari peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Jati Agung semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas, kemudian dipilih dua kelas sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling.Desain yang digunakan yaitu pre-test post-test control group.Berdasarkan analisis data, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW kurang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, TTW

Abstract

Based on the observation at VIIB class of junior high school Islam Kebumen Tanggamus in academic years 2012/2013 known that the student?s activity and achievement are low. It is caused by the implementation the uninovative learning model. This action research aims to improve students activities and achievements by cooperative learning model of STAD type. The research was done in there cycles and subject is sudents at VIIB of Junior High  School Islam Kebumen Tanggamus that is consist of 37 students. Each cycle consits of four steps, that are planning, implementating, observating and reflecting. The techniques of data colection are observation and test. Based on research result, it is concluded that cooperative learning model type STAD can improve the student?s activity and  achievemnet in Junior High School Islam Kebunem Tanggamus. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada siswa kelas VIIB SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam  proses pembelajaran masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan kurang efektifnya model yang digunakan guru untuk melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIIB SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus yang berjumlah 37 siswa, terdiri dari 16 laki-laki dan 21 perempuan. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi  dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar  matematika siswa SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, kooperatif tipe STAD, matematika

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of problem based learning models that utilizing edutainment on students? mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was all students of grades X IPA of SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2018/2019. The sample of this research were students of class X IPA 1 as many as 31 students and X IPA 2 as many as 32 students, that were choosen by cluster random sampling technique. This reseach used pretest-posttest control group design. Data analized using Mann-Whitney U test with ? = 0,05. Hypothesis test results showed that gain of students? mathematical communication skills in the problem based learning class that utilizing edutainment was higher than students in the problem based learning class. Based on this analysis it was concluded that the problem based learning model that utilizing edutainment affects the mathematical communication skills of students. Keywords: Effect, Problem Based Learning Model, Edutainment, Communication Skills

Abstract

This development research aims to produce the students worksheet based on guided inquiry and find out its effectiveness towards student's comprehension ability test of math concept. The stages of research and development were research and information collecting, students worksheet prepartion, students worksheet validation, preliminary field testing and main field testing. The subject of this development research is the students grade X of Senior High School AL-Hidayah Raman Utara Lesson Year 2017/2018. The research data is obtained through observation, interview, expert validation test and student's comprehension ability test of math concept. The results showed that (1) students worksheet was valid according to material and media expert (2) the implementation of students worksheet based on guided inquiry were classified as quite effective.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD dengan inkuiri terbimbing terbimbing dan menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Tahapan penelitian pengembangan ini yaitu studi pendahuluan, penyusunan LKPD, validasi LKPD, uji coba lapangan awal, dan uji lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MA AL-Hidayah Raman Utara tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, uji validasi ahli dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) LKPD dengan inkuiri terbimbing terbimbing yang dikembangkan telah valid menurut ahli materi dan ahli media (2) implementasi LKPD dengan inkuiri terbimbing terbimbing tersebut tergolong kategori cukup efektif.Kata kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, LKPD, Inkuiri terbimbing Terbimbing.

Abstract

This was a experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) type towards student?s mathematical problem solving ability. CIRC is one of type of cooperative learning model where the students in a small group that consist of four or five students for discussing the problem. The design of this research was posttest only design. The population was all grade seven students in even semester of Junior High School State Pelita Cabang Empat Abung selatan in academic year 2012/2013. The samples were students of VII B and VII C class who chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data research was obtained by test of student?s mathematical problem solving ability. Based on hypothesis test­ing result, it concluded that cooperative learning model of CIRC type influenced student?s mathematical problem solving ability.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. CIRC merupakan suatu model pembelajaran kooperatif yang mengelompokkan siswa dalam kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari empat atau lima orang tiap kelompoknya untuk mendiskusikan suatu masalah. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII semester genap SMP Pelita Cabang Empat Abung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIB dan VIIC yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: CIRC, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, pembelajaran kooperatif

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of problem posing approach towards student?s mathematical conceptual understanding. Problem posing approach is one of the approachs that train students to ask the questions which they design according to their understanding. The research design is posttest only control group. The population is all seventh grade students who have middle and high ability in problem of Junior High School State 1 Natar in academic year 2012/2013. Sample is students of VIIA and VIIB class that determined by purposive sampling technique. The result of research shows that  problem posing approach has influence towards student?s mathematical conceptual understanding, a case study on seventh grade students of Junior High School State 1 Natar in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan problem posing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pendekatan problem posing merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dapat mela­tih siswa untuk bertanya dengan pertanyaan yang mereka rancang sendiri sesuai de­ngan pema­haman siswa tersebut. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII yang berkemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sedang dan tinggi SMPN 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aims to investigate the difference of gain students mathematical conceptual understanding between students in contextual learning with VAK and expository learning.  The design of this research is pre-test post-test control group design.  The population of this research are all students of 8th grade of Junior High State School 1 Sekampung Udik academic years 2012/2013 with homogenous student abilities. The sample of this research are 8th A class and 8th C class which  choosed randomly from five classes.  Based on hypothesis analysis, it is conclude that there are no difference gain of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding between a class in contextual learning with VAK and expository learning.  Keywords: VAK, Mathematical Conceptual Understanding
