Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the distribution of heavy equipment and spare parts, and related services. Based on a preliminary prospectus in 2012, it is known that there are inefficiencies in the company's inventory. It increases the cost of inventory that can be allocated for the promotion. Further research is performed using the Du Pont analysis. This paper aims to determine the proposed improvements to the PT. XYZ. Du Pont analysis includes an analysis of the rate of equity, net profit margin and total assets turnover. Based on the analysis and discussion, it is known the value of ROE, NPM, and TAT of the company needs to be improved. NPM value of the company describes the effective use of corporate assets. While TAT measure the turnover rate of the company assets that include asset utilization efficiency and speed in the form of cash refunds.

Abstract

Standardization is one of the important things before to deploy a product. Regulation such as national standard has important roles in industry. The roles of standard such as ensuring safety for consumer and producer, increasing product competitiveness, and reducing trade berries. Indonesia is currently in the stage of developing industry of electric vehicle, so that standard which is related to electric vehicle, one of it is standard for the electric vehicle battery. Besides that, Indonesia does not have a relevant standard to regulate. This study is intended to make a framework for standardization of lithium-ion battery module product using A Framework for Analysis, Comparison, and Testing of Standard (FACTS) approach. There are three stages in FACTS approach, they are analysis, comparison, and testing. Based on the result of this research, the framework of lithium-ion battery module product standard consists of 8 parameters.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi sangat pesat sehingga dunia perindustrian harus mengikuti perkembangannya. Penerapan teknologi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan proses produksi sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas. Pada industri pembuatan mesin cetak di CV XYZ, mesin-mesin yang digunakan telah hampir lebih dari 20 tahun. Ada indikasi bahwa mesin-mesin tersebut sudah lewat umur pakainya. Alternatif yang digunakan selama ini ialah penggantian komponen yang rusak. Peneliti ingin membandingkan alternative tersebut dengan  penambahan mesin frais baru. Untuk itu diperlukan analisis kelayakan investasi penambahan mesin baru. Dalam perkiraan kurun waktu 10 tahun dan suku bunganya 15 % dengan menggunakan NPV, penambahan mesin frais menarik sebesar Rp 461.201.000 dibandingkan penggantian komponen yang rusak sebesar Rp 211.227.000. Sebaliknya pada PBP, penggantian komponen yang rusak masih mengungguli dengan 1 tahun 4 bulan dibandingkan penambahan mesin frais baru selama 2 tahun 1 bulan. Begitupun juga PI penggantian komponen yang rusak masih menarik sebesar 4,2 dibandingkan PI penambahan mesin frais baru sebesar 2,56. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam jangka waktu 10 tahun, alternatif penggantian komponen yang rusak masih lebih baik dibandingkan penambahan mesin frais baru. Namun, untuk investasi jangka panjang, mungkin saja alternatif penambahan mesin frais baru lebih menarik. Kata Kunci: penggantian komponen rusak, mesin frais baru, mesin cetak Abstract The rapid development of technology makes the world of industry must follow its development. Application of technology is expected to improve the production process so it can be produce a quality product. On the industrial manufacture of printing machines in CV XYZ, the machines have been used almost more than 20 years. There are indications that those machines passed the age lifetime. The alternatives that have been used during this time are the replacement of defective parts. Researchers wanted to compare these alternatives with the addition of a new milling machine. It required the addition of investment feasibility analysis of a new machine. The approximate period of 10 years and interest rates of 15% by using the NPV, the addition of milling machines attract Rp 461.201 million compared to replacement of defective parts of Rp 211.227 million. In contrast to the PBP and PI, the replacement of defective parts that are still ahead for 1 year 4 months and 4.2 compared to the addition of a new milling machine for 2 years and 1 month and 2.56. That can be concluded within 10 years, the alternative replacement of defective parts is still better than the addition of a new milling machine. However, for long-term investment it may be an alternative addition of a new milling machine more interesting. Key word: replacement of defective parts, new milling machine, printing machine

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan pengembangan dari artikel Musyafak, dkk (2012) yang membahas mengenai penilaian kinerja supplier pakan ternak menggunakan Analytic Network Process(ANP) dan Rating Scale (Studi kasus PT. DMC, Malang, Jawa Timur). PT. DMC merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang peternakan yang memerlukan pakan ternak dari pihak ketiga. Dalam artikelnya, Musyaffak, dkk sudah melakukan penilaian kinerja dari masing-masing pemasok tetapi belum menggunakan penilaian tersebut sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk menentukan jumlah pesanan pakan ternak yang optimal.  Saat ini terdapat tiga pemasok yang bekerja sama dengan perusahaan sehingga pemilihan pemasok merupakan hal yang penting bagi departemen pembelian. Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) sistem dalam proses pemilihan pemasok dapat menghasilkan penyimpanan biaya dan waktu. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk penentuan pemasok dan jumlah pakan ternak yang harus dipesan pada setiap pemasok dengan menggunakan Multi Objective Linear Programming. Model tersebut dikembangkan berdasarkan tiga kunci utama ERP. Fungsi Tujuan dari model untuk meminimasi biaya, defect rate, delivery delay rate dan supplier rate. Model dipecahkan dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel Solver Software. Hasil menunjukan, pesanan untuk ketiga pemasok adalah 100, 100 dan 32 tons.

Abstract

PT XYZ adalah suatu perusahaan tekstil yang memproduksi dan menjual kain grey. Dari data dua tahun terakhir,  perusahaan memiliki masalah dalam memenuhi permintaan pembeli dan telah mengalami kehilangan kesempatan penjualan hingga 9%. Masalah tersebut dapat mengakibatkan kepercayaan pelanggan semakin menurun, bahkan perusahaan dapat kehilangan pembeli. Perkembangan bisnis fashion secara pesat diduga mempengaruhi volume permintaan. Pengembangan sistem diskon yang tepat berdasarkan waktu pemesanan dapat mendorong pembeli untuk lebih cepat dalam melakukan pemesanan sehingga perusahaan dapat menyusun rencana produksi dengan baik. Pada penelitian ini telah dikembangan sistem diskon melalui tiga langkah, yaitu: identifikasi faktor yang dipertimbangkan oleh pembeli dalam mengambil keputusan pemesanan;  formulasi diskon yang mempertimbangkan nilai waktu dari uang (time value of money); dan  prosedur operasi standar sebagai dasar perusahaan mengimplementasikan sistem diskon yang diusulkan. Dari hasil contoh numerik dapat ditunjukkan bahwa sistem usulan dapat digunakan perusahaan mendorong  pembeli memesan lebih awal, rencana produksi dapat disusun lebih cepat, dan pemenuhan permintaan dapat dilakukan lebih baik sehingga hubungan pemasok-pembeli dapat lebih baik. Kata kunci: hubungan pemasok-pembeli, nilai waktu dari uang, prosedur operasi standar, sistem diskon   Abstract XYZ Ltd. is a company which manufactures and sells textile gray fabric. Data from the last two years, the company has problems in fulfilling the demand of buyers and have experienced lost sales opportunities up to 9%. The problem can result in decreased customer confidence, even the company may lose buyers. The rapid development of the fashion business is expected to affect the volume of demand. The development of appropriate discount system based on the appropriate ordering time can encourage buyers to more quickly in an order so that the company can plan production well. In this study, the system has cultivated a discount through three steps, namely: identification of the factors considered by the buyer in making a decision ordering; discounts formulation that considers the time value of money, and standard operating procedures as a basis for implementing the company's discount system proposed. From the numerical example results. It can be shown that the proposed system can be used by company to encourage buyers to order early, the production plan can be developed more quickly, and the order fulfillment can be improved so that the supplier-buyer relationship can be enhanced. Abstract

Sistem handling pelabuhan peti kemas merupakan masalah krusial karena berkaitan dengan waktu, biaya, dan kepuasan konsumen. Sistem handling yang baik terlihat dari waktu melakukan bongkar muat. Apabila waktu yang dihabiskan relatif singkat, maka sistem handling tergolong baik. Tiga tahapan umum dalam sistem handling, yaitu (1) Stevedoring, (2) Cargodoring dan (3) Receiving. Dari keseluruhan tahapan tersebut, proses cargodoring merupakan proses yang paling banyak menghabiskan waktu bongkar muat, sehingga biaya logistik di Indonesia menjadi tinggi. Fokus penelitian untuk memberi solusi sistem handling cargodoring yang baik pada pelabuhan di Indonesia. Selain itu, akan dibahas pula pelabuhan logistik lain yakni Pelabuhan Fremantle, Australia sebagai pembanding agar diperoleh gambaran mengenai sistem handling cargodoring yang digunakan di sana. Metode benchmarking digunakan dalam pengambilan solusi perbaikan, serta kajian Container Management, Reverse Logistic, dan Layout Study untuk membantu menemukan solusi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pelabuhan di Indonesia masih menggunakan head truck dalam proses cargodoring, sedangkan di Fremantle telah menggunakan kereta api, akibatnya waktu bongkar menjadi terlalu lama. Hasil penelitian ini adalah berupa gagasan perbaikan sistem handling cargodoring yakni dengan menggunakan kereta api seperti di Fremantle, tetapi dikembangkan menggunakan kereta semi otomatis tanpa kepala, yang memanfaatkan tenaga air laut dan sistem conveyor sebagai alat bantu pendorong peti kemas. Kata kunci: biaya distribusi logistik, cargodoring, peningkatan kinerja, pelabuhan peti kemas     Handling system at the container port is a crucial issue because it is related to time, logistics cost, and customer satisfaction. A good handling system can be seen from its time for loading and unloading. If the process takes short time, then this handling system is quite good. There are three general phases in the handling system, named (1) Stevedoring, (2) Cargodoring, and (3) Receiving. Based on the whole of those phases, cargodoring is process that spends the most time for loading and unloading, causing logistic cost of Indonesia high. This paper is focussed on efforts to give solution for good cargodoring handling system at the ports in Indonesia. In addition, this study will discuss about other logistics port which is Fremantle port, Australia to obtain as an overview of cargodoring handling system used there. Benchmarking method is used in making solution for this improvement, moreover, about Container Management System, Reverse Logistic, and Layout Study to help more in finding those solutions. Based on analysis, it is known that ports in Indonesia are still using head truck in cargodoring process, while Fremantle port has been using railway. This is a reason why handling time becomes so long. The result of this paper is an idea to make cargodoring system better by using railway like in Fremantle, but it is developed by using semi-automatic train without head, by using sea water as fuel and using conveyor system as a tool for driving containers. Abstract

AbstrakIstilah Industri 4.0 lahir dari ide tentang revolusi industri keempat. Keberadaannya menawarkan banyak potensi manfaat. Guna mewujudkan Industri 4.0, diperlukan keterlibatan akademisi dalam bentuk riset. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelaah aspek dan arah perkembangan riset terkait Industri 4.0. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi terhadap beragam definisi dan model kerangka Industri 4.0 serta pemetaan dan analisis terhadap sejumlah publikasi. Beberapa publikasi bertema Industri 4.0 dipilah menurut metode penelitian, aspek kajian dan bidang industri. Hasil studi menunjukkan Industri 4.0 memiliki empat belas aspek. Ditinjau dari metode penelitian, sebagian besar riset dilakukan melalui metode deskriptif dan konseptual. Ditinjau dari aspeknya, aspek bisnis dan teknologi menjadi fokus riset para peneliti. Ditinjau dari bidang industri penerapannya, sebagian besar riset dilakukan di bidang manufaktur. Ditinjau dari jumlahnya, riset terkait Industri 4.0 mengalami tren kenaikan yang signifikan. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberi gambaran mengenai apa itu Industri 4.0, perkembangan dan potensi riset yang ada di dalamnya. AbstractIndustry 4.0: Study of Aspects Classification and Future Research Direction. The term Industrial 4.0 refers to the idea about fourth industrial revolution. In order to realize Industry 4.0, academic involvement is required in the form of research. This article aims to define the aspects and future direction of research related to Industry 4.0. Literature review of various definition and concept models of Industry 4.0. was conducted to acquire the aspects. Mapping and analysis of several publications were conducted to determine the future direction of research. Publications were sorted according to research methods, aspects and type of industry. The result shows that Industry 4.0 has fourteen aspects. Based on research methods, most of the research is done through descriptive and conceptual methods. Business and technology aspects become the focus of the researchers and most of the research is done in manufacturing industry. Based on quantities, Industrial 4.0 research has experienced a significant upward trend. This article is expected to illustrate the concept, future development and research trend of Industry 4.0.Keywords: Industry 4.0; Literature Review; Research Trend

Abstract

Distribution and transportation are very vital for the company business beverages that must distribute its products to many areas of the consumer, for example is a bottled tea company.  A good distribution plan and an optimum route would decrease cost and time for distributing the products.  In a real case study for a bottled tea in Surakarta area, the fluctuating demand of consumers cannot be ensured and these mismatches by a salesman that should be based on the distribution plan and the realization of visit (RRK) resulted in the absence schedule. Therefore, it is required an optimum route to help the salesman in doing RRK or distribution without ignoring predetermined targets. There is a settlement solution will be more orderly preparation of these are using a Clark and Wright Saving Heuristic method. The method is able to assist the performance of salesmen and cost savings in the delivery of Surakarta area. In this paper, we have presented a real cases vehicle routing based on Clark-Wright algorithm to solve the open vehicle routing problem (OVRP) of bottled tea distribution in Surakarta District. We have modified the Clark Wright algorithm with three procedures composed of Clark and Wright formula. The methods of swap, 2 OPT and 3-OPT were used to improve our best solution in shortest route and the cheapest cost of distribution.

Abstract

Supply chain of vehicle industry is one of the supply chain that involves many entities. The high number of entities make the creation of a business network to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business activities better known as vertical integration. However, the creation of excessive vertical integration and not pay attention to the rules of fair competition can also have a negative impact on the business climate conditions. Component industry as part of the car industry in the downstream sector has shown the existence of an indication of a exclusive dealing with their customers. The research conducted an analysis using structural equation modeling to know abaout the relationship between exclusive dealing indication the level of competition and the business climate in Indonesia component industry. And based on the processing and analysis of data, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the indication of exclusive dealing with the level of competition and business climate of the industry.

Abstract

PT. X adalah produsen perlengkapan kecantikan dan kosmetik. Sekarang ini, biaya pada supply chain dirasa meningkat, dan pihak manajemen berkeyakinan bahwa kenaikan biaya di rantai pasok ini dapat dikaitkan dengan naiknya penjualan, tapi mereka yakin bahwa faktor-faktor lain ada yang perlu ditangani. PT. X memasok produknya dengan tiga saluran berbeda: retail, convenient store dan mass merchant. Penerapan metode Activity Based Costing (ABC) ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menghitung setiap biaya pada masingmasing aktivitas dengan dasar alokasi yang berbeda untuk masing-masing distribusi channel berdasarkan aktivitas sebenarnya. Sehingga dengan mencari faktor yang mempengaruhi biaya supply chain dan dilakukan pengolahan menggunakan metode ABC, maka dapat menghasilkan nilai profit yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai persentase kontribusi sebenarnya tiap saluran. Dari hasil perhitungan dapat dilihat bahwa distribusi convenient store sebenarnya tidak menghasilkan profit yang signifikan, sehingga saluran ini bisa tidak digunakan lagi oleh perusahaan dalam keputusan distribusi barangnya. Dengan demikian akan diperoleh akumulasi profit yang lebih besar dan dapat menurunkan biaya pada supply chain PT. X.
