Abstract

The aims of this research is to describe and to explain: (1) the structure of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (2) the form of the gender inequity that happen with the women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (3) the form of the culture rebellion of women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (4) the relevancies of novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Technique of data validity was using triangulation methode. Technique of data analysis was using flow analysis. The result of the study show that: (1) the structure of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini contains theme, plot, figures, setting, and moral value; (2) the form of the gender inequity in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is in the form of determining and choosing women?s life that it is belief not equitable; (3) the form of the culture rebellion by women characteristic in novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini is the desire to live freely without any rules of the tradition and culture; (5) there is relevance of the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini as bahasa Indonesia teaching materials in SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (2) the emancipation of Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (3) the value of character education contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini. The research was conducted in October 2017 until March 2018. This research is a qualitative research using feminism approach. The source of this research data is a novel entitled The Chronicle OF Kartini by Wiwid Prasetyo totaling 415 pages. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are document analysis. Data validation techniques use triangulation theory. Data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the form of maginalization, subordination, stereotype, and violence; (2) the emancipation of women contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini in the form of freedom of choice for women, the struggle and resistance of women, and the independence and ferocity of women: (3) in the novel The Chronicle Of Kartini contains 18 types of representation of the value of character education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the grammatical aspects contained in Tere Liye's novel "Rain" and (2) the grammatical aspect of Tere Liye's novel "Rain" which can be used as a learning material in High School XII class. This research includes qualitative research with the main data source is Tere Liye's novel "Rain" by 2017. The characteristic of the novel "Rain" is simple, both simple in the use of language, and simple in the story presented. Sampling technique of this research using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique used is discourse analysis model according to text and context. The results of this study indicate that Tere Liye's novel "Rain" uses the appropriate grammatical aspects so as to form a unified discourse. Grammatical aspects used include references, substitutions, ellipsis and conjunctions. The discourse of "Rain" by Tere Liye has relevance as a novel teaching material at High School because the discourse is presented in simple language and featuring a light storyline.

Abstract

The aim of the research are describe (1) influence of the author background in the novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata; (2) readers response to novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata; (3) character education value of the novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata: (4) relevance novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata with literature education in junior high school.This research is qualitative descriptive research and the method used contents analysis. The research approach used sociological approach of literature and literary reception. The results are (1) influences of the author backgrouds which are social culture, family, education and profesion, and author religion; (2) the response of readers of the novel Sirkus Pohoninclude ideal readers dan ordinary readers. The ideal readers category argue that the novel contains many lessons that can be learned for the readers so its worth reading. Theordinary readers state that the novel is a good and interesting novel. (3) value character education of novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata are religious, hardwork, sosial care, and responsible: (4) relevance novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata with learning literature in junior high school are comformity guidelines for evaluating enrichment tekxbooks from department of education and culture Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is proposed to describe and explain; (1) the themes in folktale Kalantika, (2) the cultural features in activities of folktale?s figure Kalantika, (3) the cultural result in folktale Kalantika, (4) the education value in set of folktale Kalantika,(5)  the relevance of set of folktale Kalantika with learning in Junior High School. This research used descriptive qualitative method with literary anthropology approach. Sampling technique that used in this research is purposive sampling. Collecting data technique use document analysis and interview. To validity the data, it uses triangulation of source. Data analysis technique in this research uses interactive analysis techniques. The results of this research shows that: (1) the themes of a set of folktale Kalantika were ideas about the human view of universe and knowledge system; (2) the cultural characteristic in activities of folktale?s figure Kalantika were activities about equipment of human life, livelihood system, and knowledge system; (3) the cultural result of set of folktale Kalantika that can be find are the cultural result in the form of livelihood system and economy system, and knowledge system also; (4) education value that can be find are moral value, social value, religion value, and culture value; (5) Kalantika can be some teaching materials in literary learning of Junior High School.

Abstract

Data collection techniques used in this study are documentation and in-depth interviews with informants. Data validity uses data triangulation and theory triangulation. Analysis techniques using interactive models. The main data of this research was obtained from the novel Dua Ibu by Arswendo Atmowiloto with a thickness of 300 pages. The novel is studied with a literary anthropological approach. Based on this approach, it was found that: (1) the complexity of ideas which included human relations with nature, with others, and the nature of human life; (2) the complexity of the activities that exist in Javanese society in the Dua Ibu novel; (3) the complexity of cultural results in the form of cultural results in the form of language, forms of knowledge, forms of technology, and forms of eye search; (4) the value of character education contained in the Dua Ibu novel; and (5) its relevance as literary learning in high school. The cultural life described by the author is dominated by Javanese cultural customs, namely Solo. Analysis techniques using interactive models.Conclusions from this study indicate that elements of mythology, philosophy, and Javanese culture can be used as a reference to educators, especially in Central Java for the basis of an approach to strengthen the value of the character of students and character that is in accordance with Javanese culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe; (1) inner conflict experienced by the main character in the novel Burung-Burung Manyar by Y.B. Mangunwijaya; (2) the values of character education in the novel Burung-Burung Manyar by Y.B. Mangunwijaya; and (3) the relevance of the novel Burung-Burung Manyar by Y.B. Mangunwijaya in the learning of literary appreciation in senior high school.This research applied descriptive qualitative method with the approach of literature psychology. The assessment of inner conflict was done with the psychoanalysis theory by Sigmund Freud. The data of this research were collected from the quotes in the novel Burung-Burung Manyar by Y.B. Mangunwijaya and the information from teachers. The research subjects taking was done with purposive sampling technique. The technique of data collection for this research is content analysis and interview. The validity test used triangulation of data sources and triangulation method. The flow technique is applied to analyze the data.This research reveals that there are id, ego, and superego that affect character personality. The imbalance among id, ego and superego cause inner conflict. The values of character education appear in the novel are religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, independent, curiosity, national spirit, patriotism, acknowledge achievement, friendly/communicative, social care and responsible. This novel is relevant to the instructional purpose that must be achieved from the aspect of content, presentation, language, and graphic.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain: (1) intrinsic element of novel Bidadari Bermata Bening; (2) psychological burden of the main character; (3) character education values; (4) the position of novel Bidadari Eye Bening by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy in Indonesian Language Learning perspective. This research was conducted by qualitative descriptive method and using psychology approach of literature. The results of this study indicate that: (1) each element of the novel has relevance with other elements so as to make the story coherent. (2) psychological analysis for the psychological burden of the main character using Sigmund Freud's theory of analysis which includes the three elements of personality namely id, ego, and superego. (3) the values of character education contained in the novel include religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, curiosity, respectful achievement, friendly / communicative, peace loving, social caring, and responsibility. (4) novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy can be used as Learning material of Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of diction,the figure of speech, the use of image andcharacter education valuesin novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah by Puthut EA. This research employed descriptive qualitative approach with content analysis method. The data of research was contained in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah and the result of interview with some informants. Technique of collecting data used was library and interview techniques. In this study, the author employed flow model of analysis.The results of research were as follows. Firstly, diction used in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah consisted of six types. Secondly, there were four figure of speeches used in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah. Ellipsis as the part of linking figure of speech is used most widely by author. Thirdly, the image used in novel Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah consisted of six types visual images were used most widely. Fourthly, there were ten character education values in novel Seorang Laki-Laki Yang Keluar Dari Rumah. Curiosity education character value was the one used most dominantly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap : 1) perosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran audio video motor bakar 4 langkah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X TKR SMK Puspajati 2017/2018, 2) mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan media pembelajaran audio video motor bakar 4 langkah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X TKR SMK Puspajati 2017/2018 dan 3) mengetahui keefektifan media pembelajaran audio video motor bakar 4 langkah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X TKR SMK Puspajati 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseach and Development (R & D) dengan subjek penelitian, yaitu kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 25 siswa dan kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuesioner (angket) untuk mengetahui kelayakan media yang digunakan untuk penelitian. Uji analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t-test.  Dari hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa : 1) prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran motor bakar 4 langkah meliputi pencarian potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, pengujian produk, revisi produk dan pemakaian produk. 2) media pembelajaran motor bakar 4 langkah yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran siswa kelas X TKR, di SMK Puspajati. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh dosen ahli media yang menunjukkan hasil 80% dari skor kriterium, validasi oleh dosen ahli materi yang menunjukkan hasil 80% dari skor kriterium. 3) hasil uji t membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dibuat efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar (thitung = 10.631 dan p = 0,000) pada siswa kelas X TKR SMK Puspajati 2018. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui respon siswa yaitu meliputi uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh 80% yang meliputi 5 siswa dan uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh skor 81.70% yang meliputi 25 siswa. Pada hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa yang tanpa menggunakan media motor bensin 4 langkah dan yang menggunakan media motor bensin 4 langkah. Melalui uji normalitas diperoleh p = 0.261, karena p > 0,05 maka menunjukkan kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal, melalui uji homogenitas diperoleh F hitung = 0,241 dengan p = 0.840, karena p > 0,05 maka kedua kelompok memiliki varian homogen, melalui uji t-tes dengan taraf kesalahan 5%, hasilnya t hitung lebih besar dari harga t-tabel yaitu 10.631 > 1.708. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran motor bensin 4 langkah telah berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran, Motor Bakar 4 Langkah, Hasil Belajar
