Abstract

The conversion of fertile rice land in some areas of rice production center has implications for food security achievement and farmers? income. This problem has been anticipated by government through creating new rice field in potential land including swamp areas. The research objective was to identify the potency, suitability and opportunity of the swamp areas for rice farming system in Tolitoli regency Central Sulawesi. The research was conducted in two stages: 1) Preparation and 2) Field and laboratory research. Three soil orders were found in the research areas including Histosols with sub groups ranged from typic sulfihemist to typic sulfibrist, Entisols with sub group sulfit endoaquent, and Inceptisols with sub groups typic endoaquepts and sulfit endoaquepts. The potency for rice plant development was quite good. The land suitability class for rice plant in Lampasio was Moderately Suitable (S2) with nutrient retention (nr) and oxygen availability were its limiting factor. Marginally Suitable class (S3) occupied parts of Buga and Lampasio with dominant limiting factors were flood hazard, sulfide, and nutrient retention. The land suitability class of Not Suitable could also be found in both Lampasio and Bunga.

Abstract

This study aimed to estimate the gestational age of Etawa crossbred goats based on ultrasound images of embryo and fetal usingtranscutaneous ultrasonography. Etawa crossbred does (n= 5) were synchronized using double PGF2? injection with 10 days interval and matednaturally. Early pregnancy was diagnosed on 20th day after mating base on isoechogenic image of the embryo (2.65±0.75 mm) andhypoechogenic appearance of gestational sac. On 30th day of the first trimester, the embryo size was 8.31±0.42 mm. The embryo reached10.44±0.51 mm on 35th day. On 60th day, the existence of the fetal were clearly appeared along with isoechogenic of umbilical cord,hyperechogenic os cranium (25.5±0.1 mm), and body length (51.83±1.59 mm). On 75th day, the diameter of the os cranium was 33.03±0.20 mm,body length of 110±1.73 mm, and bones structures appeared hyperechogenic for os thoracalis and os vertebrae. The placenta was isoechogenoicwith diameter of 23.3±0.2 mm. On 90th day, the placenta dominated the uterus (22.67±1.70 mm) and reached its maximum diameter on 145th day(33.73±2.91 mm). In conclusion, early pregnancy detection of Etawa crossbred goats using transcutaneous ultrasonography could be performedon 20th day after mating

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis fungi mikoriza terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 3 ulangan.  Adapun faktor yang diteliti yaitu faktor jenis mikoriza, yang terdiri atas 4 taraf yaitu: Tanpa Mikoriza, Mikoriza Glomus sp,  Mikoriza Gigaspora sp, Campuran Mikoriza Glomus sp  dan Gigaspora sp. Parameter yang diteliti yaitu serapan hara N dan P, bobot berangkasan (segar dan kering) fase vegetatif dan generatif, biomassa akar (segar dan kering) fase vegetatif dan generatif, potensi hasil per tanaman, panjang akar fase vegetatif dan generatif, dan tingkat infeksi mikoriza (%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Jenis fungi mikoriza berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap bobot berangkasan segar fase vegetatif, bobot akar segar fase vegetatif, bobot berangkasan kering fase vegetatif, bobot akar kering fase vegetatif dan panjang akar fase vegetatif serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap serapan hara N. Jenis fungi mikoriza yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat adalah Gigaspora sp.Effect of Fungi Arbuscular Mycorhiza on the Growth and Yield of Tomato Plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill)ABSTRACT: This aimed of this experiment to study the effect of mycorrhizal fungi on the growth and yield of tomato plants. This study uses a randomized block design  non factorial with three replications. The factors studied were kind of mycorrhizal, which consists of four levels ie: Without Mycorrhiza, Mycorrhiza Glomus sp, Mycorrhiza Gigaspora sp, Mixed Mycorrhizae Glomus sp and Gigaspora sp. The parameters studied were uptake of N  and P,  fresh and dry weight of biomass on phases of vegetative and generative, fresh and dry weight of root biomass on phases of vegetative and generative, the potential yield per plant, the length of root on vegetative and generative phase, and infection rate mycorrhizal. The results of this study showed that the type of mycorrhiza fungi very significant effect on the weight of fresh biomass vegetative phase, the vegetative phase fresh root weight, dry weight biomass vegetative phase, dry root weight and root length of the vegetative phase of the vegetative phase and significantly affect the nutrient uptake N. type of fungi mycorrhiza is best for growth and yield on tomatoesis to Gigaspora sp.

Abstract

Effect of Germination Medium From Sands of Tsunami and Deep Planting on the Vigor of Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata STURT.) Variety Manise-1ABSTRACT. The research was conducted in Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty Syiah Kuala University from February until June 2005. The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of germination medium from sands of tsunami, deep planting and interaction between these factor on the vigor of sweet corn seed var. Manise-I. Factorial type of Completely Randomized Design with three replications was used in the experiment. The factor germination medium consist at three levels; river sand, sands of tsunami sand, washed tsunami sand; whereas deep planting factor consist of 2, 3, and 4 cm. The research result show that germination medium from sands of tsunami had high significant different on all parameters which consist of growth potential, germination ability, growth velocity, growth sincronization, and seedling vigor. Deep planting had high significant different on the all of parameters. There were no significant different on interaction between germination medium and deep planting on all of observed parameters.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis tanah dan dosis FMA terhadap sifat kimia tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Keutapang, Kecamatan Syamtalira Aron, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, sejak April  sampai Oktober 2013.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial. Faktor pertama yaitu jenis tanah: Ultisols  Buket Rata, Inceptisols Reuleut dan Andisols Saree. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular yang terdiri dari enam taraf : 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, dan 50 g pot-1. Peubah yang diamati adalah pH, N-total, P-tersedia dan KTK tanah pada umur tanaman kedelai 45 HST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara mandiri jenis tanah mempengaruhi nilai pH, P-tersedia dan KTK,   jenis tanah dengan tingkat kesuburan tanah rendah yaitu tanah Ultisols Buket Rata. Pemberian dosis FMA mampu meningkatkan nilai pH, p-tersedia dan KTK dibandingkan tanpa pemberian FMA. Interaksi antara jenis tanah dengan dosis FMA berpengaruh terhadap N-total tanah. Tanah Inceptisols Reuleut dengan pemberian dosis FMA 20 g pot-1, Andisols Saree dengan pemberian dosis FMA 40 g pot-1  mampu meningkatkan N-total tanah. The Effect of Soil Type and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Doses on Soybean of  Soil Chemical PropertiesABSTRACT. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of soil type and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi doses on soybean plants of  soil chemical properties.  The research was conducted in  Keutapang village Syamtallira Aron  subdistrit  Aceh  Utara from April  to  October  2013.  The  experimental  design  was  factorial randomized completely block design. The first factor was soil types: Ultisols from Buket Rata, Inceptisols from Reuleut  and Andisols from Saree. The second factor was  AMF doses consisted of six levels: 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50  g  per pot. Variables measured were pH value, total-N, available P, and CEC soil at the age of soybean plants  45 days after planting. The results showed that soil type gave significantly effect to pH value, available P and CEC soil. We also found that soil type with low soil fertility levels are Ultisols from Buket Rata. FMA dosing increased the pH value, available P and CEC compared to without giving FMA. There was a significant interaction between soil types with FMA doses on soil total nitrogen. Inceptisols from Reuleut with FMA dosing 20 g per pot and Andisols from Saree with FMA dosing 40 g per pot is able to increased the soil total nitrogen.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan fungi mikoriza arbuskular (FMA) spesifik lokasi dan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) serta interaksi antara FMA dan kompos TKKS pada tanah Ultisol terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Alur Tani II Kecamatan Tamiang Hulu Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Penelitian berlangsung dari Bulan Juni  2015 sampai dengan Mei 2016. Lokasi penelitian memiliki jenis tanah Ultisol.  Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial  dengan 3 ulangan, ada dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu fungi mikoriza arbuskular (FMA) spesifik lokasi dan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS).  Faktor dosis FMA spesifik lokasi terdiri empat taraf yaitu: 0, 50, 100 dan 150 g/tan dan faktor dosis pupuk kompos TKKS yang terdiri dari  tiga taraf yaitu : 30, 40 dan 50 kg/tan. Peubah yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah pelepah daun, diameter batang, serapan unsur hara N, P dan K, jumlah spora dan kolonisasi akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis FMA spesifik lokasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah pelepah daun, diameter batang, serapan unsur hara N, P dan K dan akar terkolonisasi, tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah spora. Pemberian dosis pupuk kompos TKKS mempengaruhi tinggi tanaman, jumlah pelepah daun, serapan unsur hara N dan jumlah spora, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap diameter batang, serapan hara P dan K dan kolonisasi akar. Tidak terdapaat interaksi antara pemberian dosis FMA spesifik lokasi dan pupuk kompos TKKS terhadap semua parameter pengaamatanUtilization of Location-Specific Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Oil Palm Empty Fruit Brunch Compost in Ultisol on the Growth of Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq)Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of location-specific arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and oil palm empty fruit bunch compost (OPEFB) as well as the interaction between AMF and OPEFB compost in ultisol on the growth of oil palm. The experiment was carried out at Alur Tani II Village, Tamiang Hulu District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, from June 2015 to May 2016. The soil of the location was ultisol. The research design used was randomized block design (RBD) with a 4 x 3 factorial design with three replications. There were two tested factors: First, location-specific AMF dose (F), consisting of F0 = 0 g/plant, F1 = 50 g/plant, F2 = 100 g/plant, F3 = 150 g/plant; second, OPEFB compost dose (K), consisting of K1 = 30 kg/plant, K2 = 40 kg/plant, K3 = 50 kg/plant. The observed variables were plant height, number of fronds, trunk diameter, N, P and K nutrients absorption, number of spores, and root colonization. The research findings indicated that the location-specific AMF doses did not have any significant effect on plant height, number of fronds, trunk diameter, N, P and K nutrients absorption, and root colonized roots, though it did significantly affect the number of spores. The OPEFB compost doses affected plant height, number of fronds, N absorption, and number of spores but did not influence trunk diameter, P and K absorption, and root colonization. There was no interaction between the location-specific AMF and OPEFB compost doses on every observed parameter.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effectof Aceh Soybean Local Varietiesand different doses of Mycorhiza on theproduction and seed quality, as well asthe interaction between both treatments. This research was conductedat the Experimental Farmof the Agriculture Faculty, Seed Scienceand Technology Laboratory and Plant Pathology Laboratory ofthe Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University from December2013 to March 2014 by using randomized block design (RBD) factorial with two treatments, the first treatment was varieties with three different varieties namely Bener Meriah, Kipas Merah and Anjasmoro, the second treatment wasdose ofmycorrhizal with four levels namely 0, 5, 10 and 15g/plant with three replications. The observed parameters were the number of pods/plant, number of podspithy/plant, number ofseeds/plant, seed weight/plant, weight of100 seeds, the potential of yieldper hectare, growth potential, seed germination, growth speed, growth simultaneity and weight of drynormal seedling.The results showedthat theKipas Merah varieties showed better results, but for the seed quality, Bener Meriah varieties show edbetter results. Whit the use ofmycorrhiza, dose of 10g/plant showed ``better resultson the root infection percentage parameters, while the other parameters, mycorrhiza doses howed nosignificant effect. Significant interaction between both factors iscontained in Anjas moro varieties with 5 g/plant mycorrhizal dose on the parameter rnumber of pods, seed weight, 100-seed weight and yield potentialper hectare, root infection percentage and growth simultaneity.

Abstract

Pengawasan sebagai salah satu cara meningkatkan kepercayaan dan akuntabilitas Notaris dalam kaitannya dengan kepatuhan menjalankan jabat-annya. Pengawasan terhadap Notaris dilakukan oleh Majelis Pengawas Notaris agar Notaris dalam menjalankan tugas dan wewenangnya sesuai dengan koridor yang telah ditentukan dan patuh pada Kode Etik Notaris, agar terjamin perlindungan dan kepastian hukum bagi masyarakat. Majelis Pengawas Notaris berwenang melakukan pengawasan preventif, pengawasan kuratif dan pem-binaan. Ruang lingkup pengawasan Majelis Pengawas Notaris meliputi peng-awasan terhadap pelaksanaan tugas jabatan Notaris; menyelenggarakan sidang terhadap adanya dugaan pelanggaran Kode Etik Notaris dan pengawasan ter-hadap perilaku Notaris.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of water salinity changes on methionine content in tiger grouper juvenile (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus). A total of 2,560 tiger grouper juveniles were used and divided into five groups consist of 1 control group (without exposed to salinity changes) and 4 treatment groups. The salinity was changed every 2, 3, 4, and 6 hours in treatment A, B, C, and D, respectively. Salinity levels were changed during 24 hours by lowering salinity level from 32 psu to 22 psu. Twenty five of fish were collected from each treatment for methionine content analysis. Data were analysed using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that there was a decrease in methionine content in all treatments. A significant decrease (P 0.05) of methionine content in treatment A, B, and C were observed after 20 hours (1.15%), 18 hours (1.27%), and 16 hours (1.24%), respectively. While at 0 hours (control), the methionine content was 2.02%. Methionine level in treatment D was not significantly different (P 0.05) compared to control group. As conclusion, rearing the tiger grouper juvenile with salinity fluctuations every 6 hours did not lead to methionine deficiency.

Abstract

Buku Learning To Listen, Learning To Teach: The power Of Dialogue in Educating Adults, layaklah sebagai buku wajib bagi mereka yang berkecimpung di bidang pengembangan masyarakat, pekerja sosial, penyuluh pembangunan (pertanian, sosial, hukum, kesehatan, agama, pajak, politik, kebudayaan) baik di instansi pemerintah maupun swasta. Buku ini menunjukkan cara ampuh untuk lebih memahami teknik mendidik orang dewasa yaitu melalui kekuatan dialog dengan 12 prinsip yang menyertainya.
