Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove terdapat di seluruh pantai maupun pulau-pulau kecil Indonesia yang terpengaruh oleh pasang surut. Kajian pola sebaran, indikator kualitas lingkungan dan ekologi komunitas mangrove Pulau Tunda dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2014 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pola sebaran, indikator kualitas lingkungan dan ekologi komunitas mangrovenya. Sampel mangrove diambil menggunakan transek garis dan plot yang ditarik dari titik acuan (tegakan mangrove terluar) serta tegak lurus garis pantai sampai ke daratan. Kemudian transek garis tersebut dibuat petak-petak contoh (plot) yang berukuran 10 x 10 m2 untuk kategori pohon dan di dalam ukuran 10 x 10 m2 dibuat plot berukuran 1 x 1 m2 untuk kategori semai. Pola penyebaran mangrove Pulau Tunda dianalisis berdasarkan indeks Morisita. Sementara kualitas lingkungan hutan mangrove dianalisis menggunakan tutupan pohon, tutupan semai dan jumlah jenis semai yang ditemukan. Kemudian ekologi komunitas mangrove Pulau Tunda dianalisis berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman, dominansi dan keseragaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola penyebaran mangrove Pulau Tunda tergolong beraturan (regular), dimana terjadi interaksi negatif antar individu dalam memperebutkan ruang, unsur hara maupun cahaya matahari. Selain itu, kondisi hutan mangrove Pulau Tunda masih tergolong baik dengan tingkat kualitas lingkungan vegetasi mangrove 73.74%, keanekaragaman dan dominansi mangrovenya tergolong rendah (1.20 dan 0.52) dan keseragamannya tergolong labil (0.60). Mangrove ecosystems are found throughout the coast and small islands of Indonesia which are affected by tides. Distribution pattern studies, environmental quality indicators and the ecological mangrove community of Tunda Island were carried out in January 2014 with the aim to determine distribution patterns, indicators of environmental quality and ecology of the mangroves community. Mangrove samples were taken using line transects and plots drawn from reference points (outer mangrove stands) and perpendicular to the coastline to the mainland. The line transect is made of plots of sample size 10 x 10 m2 for the category of trees and in a size of 10 x 10 m2 a plot of 1 x 1 m2 is made in the seedling category. The pattern of distribution of mangroves of Tunda Island was analyzed based on the Morisita index. While the environmental quality of mangrove forests was analyzed using tree cover, seedling cover and number of seedlings found. The ecology of the Tunda Island mangrove forest community was analyzed based on the diversity index, dominance and uniformity. The results showed that the pattern of mangrove distribution of Tunda Island was regular, where there was a negative interaction between individuals in fighting over space, nutrients and sunlight. In addition, the condition of the Tunda Island mangrove forest is still relatively good with the level of environmental quality of mangrove vegetation 73.74%, the diversity and dominance of mangroves are relatively low (1.20 and 0.52) and uniformity is classified as unstable (0.60).

Abstract

Abstract: Results of  a study  about  identification of chemical misconceptions were reported in the journal article shows that the results of  research   can be divided into two things, the percentage or number of students who have misconceptions and theirs conception. The focus of this study is the statement of the non proposition. Non proposition statement can be divided into several categories, namely: (1)  prerequisite concepts was wrong  and the new concept was true; (2) prerequisite  concept was true and  the new concept was wrong; and (3) both are wrong, whether prerequisite concepts or new concepts. To overcome misconception, it needed to enhance the understanding of prerequisite concepts and methods that can connect it with a new concept.Key Words: misconceptions, chemical concepts, propositions, prerequisite conceptsAbstrak: Hasil kajian tentang identifikasi miskonsepsi kimia yang dilaporkan dalam artikel jurnal menunjukkan bahwa hasil penelitian dapat  dibagi dalam dua hal yaitu persentase atau jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dan konsepsinya.  Fokus kajian ini adalah pernyataan proposisi yang salah dari siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi. Pernyataan proposisi  yang salah dari siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dapat dibagi dalam beberapa kategori yaitu: (1) konsep prasyarat salah-konsep baru benar;  (2) konsep prasyarat benar-konsep baru salah;   dan (3) keduanya salah baik konsep prasyarat maupun konsep baru. Untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi selanjutnya,  diperlukan penelitian tentang bagaimana meningkatkan pemahaman konsep prasyarat dan metode yang dapat menghubungkannya  dengan konsep baru.Kata kunci: miskonsepsi, konsep kimia, proposisi, konsep prasyarat

Abstract

Teachers have an important role in realizing quality learning. Quality teachers are shown with good competence. Teacher competency can be improved through the teacher's understanding of non-constructivism knowledge in mathematics learning. Teachers can integrate cultural values and local wisdom into mathematical concepts to shape student knowledge. Integrating cultural values and local wisdom into mathematics learning makes students learn through their cultural background experiences. This study uses descriptive research methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of pedagogical knowledge of teachers, ethnoconstructivism knowledge of teachers, the influence and impact of ethnoconstivism knowledge into mathematics learning. The results of this study indicate the competence of elementary school teachers in Batanghari District, Muaro Jambi Regency, and Jambi City tend to be predominantly not good, and teachers have applied ethno-constructivism to mathematics learning through the use of media, models, and learning strategies. The teacher still encountered many obstacles in the implementation process. The age range greatly influences the level of ethno-constructivism knowledge in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Abstrak. Skizofrenia merupakan salah satu gangguan jiwa yang paling banyak terjadi. Kekambuhan pasien skizofrenia masih tinggi dan memerlukan biaya tinggi, yang ditanggung oleh keluarga dan pemerintah. Seharusnya pasien skizofrenia yang sudah sembuh tidak mengalami kekambuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan keluarga terhadap kekambuhan pasien skizofrenia di BLUD RSJ Aceh yang dilaksanakan sejak bulan Juni 2012 sampai Maret 2013. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan menggunakan desain potong lintang. Data kuesioner yang diperoleh dari 40 responden dianalisis secara deskriptif, kemudian untuk mencari hubungan tiap variabel terhadap kekambuhan pasien skizofrenia akan dilakukan analisa dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil uji Chi-Square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan keluarga (p=0,011), dukungan keluarga (p=0,000), kepatuhan pasien minum obat (p=0,000) dan aktivitas keagamaan pasien (p=0,022), dengan kekambuhan pasien skizofrenia.Abstract. Schizophrenia is a most common mental disorder. The possibility of relapse cases are still high with expensive cost on management, which is borne by the family and government. Ideally, schizophrenia patients who had recovered should not suffer a relapse. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the families from a relapse schizophrenia patients in Aceh Local Mental Hospital conducted from June 2012 to March 2013. This research is an analytical study with cross-sectional approach. Questionnaire data obtained from 40 respondents were analyzed descriptively, and the relationship of each variable will be analyzed by Chi-Square test. The results indicated that there was a significant assossiation between knowledge of patient?s families (p = 0.011), patient?s family support (p = 0.000), medication compliance (p = 0.000) and religious activities of the patients (p = 0.022) with schizophrenia relapse cases.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memanfaatkan getah pepaya (Carica papaya) sebagai katalis pada pembuatan biodisel dari minyak jelantah. Getah pepaya (Carica papaya) diperoleh dari Lembah Seulawah Aceh Besar dan minyak jelantah berasal dari Kentucky Fried Chiken (KFC). Target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah mendapatkan informasi tentang kemampuan getah papaya (Carica papaya) bertindak sebagai sumber enzim lipase. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa getah pepaya (Carica papaya) dapat berfungsi sebagai sumber enzim lipase pada proses transesterifikasi antara minyak jelantah dan 1-butanol. Struktur butil ester ditegaskan oleh spektrum FT-IR pada 1746 cm-1 untuk regang  C=O dan pada 1213,7 cm -1 untuk regang C-O. Meskipun demikian, butil ester yang dihasilkan masih bercampur dengan alkohol dan asam lemak bebas yang ditegaskan adanya puncak pada 3350,5 cm-1 untuk regang ?O-H.

Abstract

Determination of Paraquat (1,1,-Dimethyl-4,4?-Bipyridilium Dichloride) Maximum Adsorption Capacity and Adsorption Energy on Farm SoilABSTRACT. The purpose of this research to determination of paraquat (1,1,-Dimethyl-4,4?-Bipyridilium Dichloride) maximum adsorption capacity and adsorption energy. Maximum adsorption capacity and adsorption energy were predicted by Gibbs free energy, G. The paraquat adsorption to show reversible properties and therefore Gibbs free energy can determinate by equilibrium constant, K. Maximum adsorption capacity were 18,811 mg/g (0,000101 mol/g) and Gibbs free energy was -25360 kJ/mol for 1100C soil.

Abstract

Teacher Competency Test is a test of mastery of professional and pedagogic competencies in the cognitive domain as a basis for establishing continuous professional development activities and part of teacher assessment. The test is a source and as a material for mapping the competencies that a teacher has regarding professional and pedagogical competence in an area. The low competence of the pedagogical field shows that teachers are not professional. Therefore the teacher will find it difficult to be able to provide a good pursuit of students. One way to improve the competence of teachers in pedagogic fields is by increasing teacher understanding and knowledge of local wisdom in learning. The essence of local and national cultural values in the education curriculum is now a bustling thing to be talked about by the people of Indonesia. Social ethnoconstructivism is able to be a solution amid the current developments and cultural shifts. This study wants to see how high the impact of ethnoconstuctivistic knowledge on teacher pedagogical competencies. In addition, age and gender are also separate discussions to see their influence on pedagogical competence. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Samples in this study were elementary school teachers in three districts/cities in Jambi Province. The results show that teachers' ethnoconstructivism knowledge has an influence on the teacher's pedagogical competence. The age of a teacher also has an impact on pedagogical competence, but gender does not affect the teacher's pedagogical competency.

Abstract

Hutan mangrove memiliki lingkungan yang sangat kompleks, dimana di dalam dan antar lokasi habitat mangrove saling berbeda. Kajian karakteristik lingkungan penentu distribusi dan kepadatan fauna makro bentik serta hubungannya (studi kasus gastropoda dan kepiting brachyura di kawasan reboisasi mangrove Kepulauan Seribu) telah dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2014. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor lingkungan yang berperan terhadap distribusi dan kepadatan gastropoda maupun kepiting brachyura serta untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik lingkungan dengan distribusi dan kepadatan gastropoda maupun kepiting brachyura di kawasan reboisasi mangrove Kepulauan Seribu. Pengukuran karakteristik lingkungan dilakukan dengan cara insitu, sedangkan data gastropoda dan kepiting brachyura dikumpulkan dengan membuat transek garis dan plot yang ditarik dari titik acuan (tegakan mangrove terluar) dan tegak lurus garis pantai sampai ke daratan. Faktor-faktor lingkungan yang menentukan distribusi dan kepadatan gastropoda maupun kepiting brachyura dianalisis menggunakan Principal Component Analysis (PCA), sedangkan hubungannya digunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa karakteristik lingkungan yang paling menentukan distribusi dan kepadatan gastropoda maupun kepiting brachyura di kawasan reboisasi mangrove Kepulauan Seribu adalah parameter pH. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi pH perairan, maka kepadatan gastropoda maupun kepiting brachyura juga semakin tinggi. Begitu sebaliknya, semakin rendah konsentrasi pH perairan, maka kepadatan gastropoda dan kepiting brachyura juga semakin menurun.Mangrove forests have a very complex environment, where in and between locations mangrove habitats are different. The study of environmental characteristics determining the distribution and density of benthic macrofauna and their relationship (a case study of gastropods and crab brachyurans in the Seribu Islands mangrove reforestation area) was conducted in March 2014. The research aims to determine environmental factors that contribute to the distribution and density of gastropods and brachyurans crabs and to determine the relationship between environmental characteristics and the distribution and density of gastropods and crab brachyurans in the Seribu Islands mangrove reforestation area. Measurements of environmental characteristics were carried out by insitu method, while data on gastropods and crab brachyurans were collected by making line transects and plots drawn from the reference point (outermost mangrove stands) and perpendicular to the coastline to the mainland. Environmental factors that determine the distribution and density of gastropods and crab brachyurans were analyzed using the Principle Component Analysis (PCA), while the relationship used simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that the environmental characteristics that most determine the distribution and density of gastropods and crab brachyurans in the mangrove reforestation area of the Seribu Islands are pH parameters. This indicates that the higher the concentration of water pH, the higher the density of gastropods and crab brachyurans. On the contrary, the lower the concentration of water pH, the density of gastropods and crab brachyurans also decreases.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Beberapa yang menjadi indikator kualitas pada sistem tenaga listrik adalah kestabilan frekuensi dan tegangan. Kestabilan sistem tenaga listrik merupakan kemampuan sistem untuk kembali bekerja normal setelah mengalami suatu perubahan beban.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan desain pengendali PI digital untuk regulasi tegangan generator sinkron. Diperlukan suatu model dari generator untuk diintegrasi dengan instrument AVR berbasis pengendali PI, sehingga AVR yang dihasilkan dapat memenuhi kriteria. Kondisi steady state pada simulasi ini tercapai saat 1,86 detik pada saat generator dibebani tanpa menggunakan AVR dan kontrol P.I. Saat beban nol tanpa kontrol P.I keadaan stady state dicapai saat 0,15 detik dan pada saat beban penuh tanpa kontrol P.I keadaan steady state dicapai saat 1,2 detik. Kondisi stady state pada simulasi ini tercapai saat 1,86 detik pada saat generator dibebani tanpa mengguankan AVR menggunakan kontrol P.I. Saat beban nol dengan  kontrol P.I keadaan stady state dicapai saat 0,12 detik dan pada saat beban penuh dengan kontrol P.I keadaan steady state dicapai saat 0,6 detik.   Kata Kunci :SIMULINK, tegangan, eksitasi, penyearah, permodelan, AVR, pengendali PI, transient. ABSTRACT Some of quality condition indicators electric power system are frequency and voltage stability. The stability of the electric power system is the ability of the system for return to normal condition after experiencing a change in load. This research aimed to design a digital PI controller for synchronous generator voltage regulation. It was needed a model of the generator to be integrated with AVR instrument based on PI controller. The steady state condition in this simulation was achieved in 1.86 seconds, when the generator was loaded without using AVR and PI controller. When the load was zero without P.I control, the steady state was is achieved in 0.15 seconds and at full load without PI controller, the steady state was achieved when 1.2 seconds. The steady state condition in this simulation was achieved when 1.86 seconds when the generator was loaded without AVR using PI controller. When the load was zero with, PI controller was, the steady state achieved at 0.12 seconds and at the full load with PI controller, the steady state was achieved at 0.6 seconds. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Aliran air sungai yang berada di UPI Bandung, telah dimanfaatkan untuk pembangkit pikohidro. Pembangkit tersebut menghasilkan daya 100 Watt dan digunakan untuk sistem penerangan dengan menggunakan lampu pijar atau lampu hemat energi. Pada penelitian ini telah dicoba memanfaatkan listrik tersebut untuk sistem pengisian baterai, dimana dirancang dan direalisasikan suatu alat untuk mengisi baterai dengan tegangan charging 14,2 Volt dan arus pengisian maksimal 4,5 Ampere yang bersumber dari pembangkit pikohidro. Metode pengisian yang digunakan adalah metode pengisian lambat, yaitu suatu pengisian baterai dengan memberikan arus pengisian 1/10 dari kapasitas baterai, sehingga memperpanjang usia baterai. Perancangan yang dihasilkan yaitu battery charger yang terdiri dari rangkaian penyearah arus, IC regulator tegangan LM338 dan rangkaian komparator IC LM741 sebagai pemutus arus pengisian. Jenis baterai yang digunakan adalah Lead Acid dengan tegangan 12 Volt dan kapasitas 45 Ah yang digunakan untuk penerangan ruangan menggunakan lampu LED (Light Emiting Diode) 12 Volt. Lama pengisian baterai Lead Acid 45 Ah adalah 12 Jam dengan tegangan awal 11,7 Volt, kemudian berhenti di 12,8 Volt dan arus pengisian menurun dari 3,9 Ampere menjadi 0,3 Ampere, sedangkan lama pembebanan 12 jam dengan tegangan awal 12,1 Volt dan 11 Volt tegangan saat kapasitas baterai telah kosong untuk arus beban 3 Ampere. Kata kunci : Battery Charger, Regulator , Komparator, Pikohidro, Lampu LED.   ABSTRACT   The water flow from the river which was in UPI Bandung, has been used for pikohidro power plant. The plant produced 100 Watts of power and used for lighting system using bulb lamp or fluorescent lamp. In this study it has been tested to utilize that electricity for the battery charging system, where designed and realized a device to charge the battery with a charging voltage of 14.2 Volts and 4.5 Amperes maximum charging current which sourced from pikohidro power plant. The charging method was used a slow charging, which was the battery charging with providing charging current one tenth of the battery capacity, so it can extend the battery life. The designing of battery charger consisted of a rectifier, IC LM338 as a voltage regulator and IC LM741 comparator circuit as a circuit breaker charging. The type of used batteries was Lead Acid with 12 Volts voltage and 45 Ah capacity used for an indoor lighting using LED (Light Emiting Diode) lamp 12 Volt. The time of charge for Lead Acid batteries for 45 Ah were 12 hours with the initial voltage of 11.7 volts, then it stopped at 12.8 Volts and the charging current decreased from 3.9 to 0.3 Amperes, while the time of discharge were 12 hours with the initial voltage of 12.1 Volts, and 11 volts voltage when the battery capacity was empty for the load current of 3 Amperes.   Keywords: Battery Charger, Regulator, Comparator, Picohydro, LED Lamp.
