Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to discuss about how the function of maslahah (utility) could be fomulated inthe consumtion behavior of a house hold. The function of maslahah in the consumtion behavior isformulated as this equation: M = f ( X, Y, Bx, By). Based on this model, it could be expalained thatmaslalah is the outcome of an activity which can bring about berkah (benediction). In consequence, eachmoslem house hold will pay a big attantion to maslahah to do his economic goals. A moslem house holdwill select a good or service to consume if it will bring about berkah or not. It means that a moslemhouse hold doesnt see the utility of the good or service which he will consume only, but also berkahwhich the good or service has. The behavior of finding berkah for a moslem house hold could be seenthrough his characters such as not wastefull, paying attantion to another persons interest, not deceivingsomeone else, and rightfull.

Abstract

This article discusses the need to reconstruct Islamic economy curriculum in Islamichigher education. Since about ten years ago, Islamic economy has become a special concentrationin many campuses but the procces of searching its most proper study model is still ongoing. Tofulfill the markets demands, both state and private campuses need to reconstruct their studymodel of Islamic economy by stressing the combination of Sharia and economics. This will be-come a basis for the students to produce some creative ways to develop Islamic economy accord-ing to societys needs. The exponents of Islamic economy and the staff of departments of Islamiceconomy in higher education must formulate an instruction pattern or a standard curriculum forIslamic economy. Most importantly, the curriculum must be relevant to todays market. Bydoing so, the alumni of the departments of Islamic economy will gain an enterpreneurship ethos,to be the masters on their own.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Foreign Investment (PMA) and Domestic Investment (PMDN) on economic growth and unemployment in Indonesia. The data used is Indonesia's secondary data for the period 2000 - 2014 which includes PMDN, PMA, unemployment, and economic growth. Data is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Bank Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank. The main analysis tool is multiple linear regression. The results of the study found that: 1) simultaneously and partially PMA and PMDN had a significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth; 2) simultaneously PMA and PMDN have a significant effect on unemployment in Indonesia. However, only partially PMDN has a significant effect.

Abstract

The goal of this article is to find some solutions to recover sosial-economicproblems. Its focusing on Islamic economc concept. The history showed that theIslamic economic system was very effective to recover many kinds of socialeconomicproblems, because it was implemented according to Alquran andHadith. It means that if Islamic economy is implemented well and truely, manycrucial social-economic problems can be anticipated. Abstract

This paper is aimed at discussing the critical view of Abdullah Saeed as far as murabahah is concerned. For Saeed, this banking practice, which is adapted and adopted from Syari’ah has caused a lot of controversies. The basic question that a man like him asks is, does this Syari’ah banking system really make a difference? Nonetheless, it is this Syari’ah-based banking product that dominated the whole Islamic banking system in the great majority of Islamic countries. Investigating the nature of this product becomes therefore both strategic and important so as to have a better and proper understanding of it. This proper understanding will in turn influence the way this product is promoted and sold to the public in line with the values of Syari’ah. The paper will also compare murabahah with the similar banking practices in the conventional banks.

Abstract

The Islamic economic system in the specific characteristics, is very different from the othereconomic systems because it is as an integral part of Islamic system, and economic in Islam brings anequlibrium for individual and public interest, as well as it brings an individual freedom for economicactivities. In the effort of compliting its acknowledgment to economic freedom, Islam gives anauthority to the government to intervere in the fungsionalization of Islamic economic system. Itmeans that all matters which concern on the economic aspects, have been discussed in Islam. So thatit could be concluded that the regulation of economic in Islam, is absolutely complete. Therefore, theapplication of Islamic economic system in the social order of communitys economy probably wouldbring prosperity and benefit for community itself.

Abstract

Abstract:This paper aims to uncover some basic tenets of how muslim’s consumerism should be as stated in  al-A‘râf (7):31 and al-Baqarah (2):168. Those basic principles are spending income proportionally, caring for others’ needs, consuming a good and lawful goods or service, and having a simple life Although the definition of consumption, generally, is enjoying goods and services to fulfill human’s needs, moslem can not deliberately do it without considering those principles. The ultimate goal of muslim is  not only current and on going proseperity but also future and hereafters’Abstrak:  Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan prinsip-prinsip dasar perilaku konsumsi muslim dalam memanfaatkan nikmat Allah yang diisyaratkan dalam Qs. al-A‘râf (7):31 and al-Baqarah (2):168. Meskipun konsumsi secara umum didefinisikan sebagai penggunaan barang dan jasa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan manusia, tetapi seorang muslim tidak dapat begitu saja memutuskan untuk mengkonsumsi suatu barang atau jasa tanpa mempertimbangkan prinsip-prinsip dasar konsumsi yang diisyaratkan dalam Qs. al-A‘râf (7):31 dan al-Baqarah (2):168. Prinsip-prinsip dasar tersebut adalah proporsional, peduli terhadap kebutuhan orang lain, halal dan baik, dan hidup sederhana. Hal itu sesuai dengan tujuan muslim untuk tidak hanya memikirkan kesejahteraan saat ini, tetapi juga masa depan dan akherat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the effect of economic growth on income inequality of provinces in Indonesia; 2) the effect of economic growth on the poverty of provinces in Indonesia. The data used are secondary data which includes time series data for 2010-2016 and cross section data of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Data were analyzed by panel data regression. The results of the analysis found that increasing economic growth led to increased income inequality and the number of poor people in the provinces in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the calculation of return on mudhârabah time deposit for the depositors of Islamic banks, and the provision of a fair return to the depositors without leaving any shariah elements. These two issues have become urgent to be discussed in this study, because if their money is deposited in Islamic banks, it will increase the amount of funds available in the Islamic bank, and the amount of funds available directly influence the size of the investment return on Islamic banks. If the results of the large investment, the returns will be obtained by the depositors are also large, and vice versa. In addition, it will also create a sense of calm and peace for themselves, because the money they have deposited in Islamic bank is not only quaranteed by the gorverment but also the system is run in accordance with the shariah of Islam. -----Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan perhitungan return deposito mudhârabah bagi deposan di bank syariah, dan pemberian return tersebut secara adil kepada deposan tanpa meninggalkan unsur kesyariahannya. Dua permasalahan ini menjadi urgen untuk dibahas dalam tulisan ini, karena jika uang mereka didepositokan di bank syariah akan meningkatkan jumlah dana yang tersedia di bank syariah tersebut, dan jumlah dana yang tersedia tersebut berpengaruh langsung terhadap besar kecilnya hasil investasi bank syariah. Jika hasil investasi tersebut besar, maka return yang akan diperoleh para deposan juga besar, demikian pula sebaliknya. Selain itu, juga akan menciptakan rasa tenang dan tentram bagi mereka sendiri, karena keberadaan uang mereka tidak saja dijamin oleh pemerintah tetapi juga sistemnya dijalankan sesuai dengan syariat Islam.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertjuan untuk menganalisis: (1) Struktur PAD dan APBD berdasarkan komposisinya, (2) Pertumbuhan PAD serta kontribusinya terhadap APBD dan (3) Kemampuan keuangan daerah Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Jambi dalam melaksanakan otonomi daerah. Hasil penelitian antara lain menyimpulkan bahwa komposisi PAD terbesar berasal dari penerimaan lain-lain yang sah yaitu 42,32%;, komposisi tebesar dari APBD bersumber dari dana perimbangan sebesar 83,49%. Rata-rata pertumbuhan PAD kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jambi sebesar 18,48%; rata-rata kontribusi PAD terhadap APBD kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jambi sebesar 6,33%. Kemampuan keuangan daerah, Kabupaten Batang Hari, Kota Jambi dan Kabupaten Sarolangun yang memiliki status kemampuan keuangan tinggi dibanding kabupaten/kota lain di Provinsi Jambi.
