Abstract

Binthe biluhuta is a native food of Gorontalo, made from mixture of corn, onion, leek, basil, desiccated coconut, chili and fish. The objective of this research was to find the best formulation for binthe biluhuta seasoning and prediction of it�s shelf life. Moisture sorption isotherm derived from the correlation of moisture content data indicated a typical sigmoidal curve implying 3 regions of water adsorption. The water sorption region accounted for three fraction of bound water analyzed using three different mathematical models. The first water fraction ranged 0-3. 148 (%db) and the third fraction ranged 13.438-52970 (%db). The binthe biluhuta seasoning packaged in alumina and stored at 80 and 90% RH, demonstrated the longest shelf life which were equal to 748 and 423 days, respectively. Abstract

The competition of oil and gas industri in Indonesia is very tight. To get survive from the competition; the company has to develop their technology. Nowadays, technological advancement have salient roles in improving the company's business. PT Pertaminan Retail is a large oil and gas company in Indonesia. This study analyzed the design of e-commerce business development models from PT Pertamina Retail called MyPertamina. The method of the study is descriptive analysis and using business model canvas (BMC), the Delphi method, SWOT (Strenghts, weakness, opportunities, & threats), and the Blue Ocean Strategy. The datas in this study were secondary dan primary data. The secondary data obtained from the literature study and the primary data was by interviewing six informants. The research period starts from November to December 2018. The results of mapping the initial business model that used BMC, showed several aspects such as: customer segments, value propositions, channels, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, and costs structure. Environmental analysis used the Delphi method and the result was key trend value was 25.48%, industri strength was 25.19%, market strengths was 24.78%, and macroeconomic strengths was 24.55%. MyPertamina's internal environment influenced by product aspects, infrastructure management, customer interface, and financial aspect. The results of the SWOT analysis of nine BMC unsurts showed that the highest strength was the key partnership and the lowest strength was customer relationship. Meanwhile, the biggest opportunity was value proposition and the lowest opportunity was cost structure. The highest threat was customer segment, and the lowest threat was key partners. The business development model in this research focused on customer segment, key partnership, and value proposition, unsurts developed using the blue ocean strategy method.

Abstract

Aim The mechanism of temu kunci tuber essential oil potential as antimicrobial agent has not been reported. To analyze the mechanism of antibacterial activity of temu kunci tuber essential oil from Yogyakarta on B.cereus. Antibacterial activity of essential oil were analyzed for its ability to disrupt bacterial cell membrane, that caused cell leakage and altered the morphology of the bacteria. Leakage was measured by analyzing the Ca+2, K+ ion outflow using an atomic adsorption spectrometry (AAS), and protein and nucleic acid using an ultraviolet spectrophotometer (UVS) on 280 nm and 260 nm respectively. Alterations in morphology were assessed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Results Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of temu kunci essential oil on B.cereus was 0.12% (v/v). Treatment of B. cereus using 1MIC and 2MIC showed significant leakage compared to control (P<0.05). The K+ and Ca+2 ion leakage from the bacterial cells were between 10.32-35.57% and 15.05-41.54% respectively and showed significant difference compared to control (P<0.05). The absorbance observed by UVS for protein and nucleic acid leakage were 0.6330-0.8670 at 280 nm and 0.4320-0.8307 at 260 nm, respectively, and were significantly different compared to control (P<0.05). Exposure of 1 MIC temu kunci essential oil on B.cereus caused thickening as well as irregularities on the cell wall. At 2 MIC cells seemed transparent, empty looking and showed a ghost-like appearance.Conclusion Kaempheria pondurata essential oil could cause leakage and alter the morphology of the bacteria. Abstract

ABSTRACTAs an attempt to support the performance and improvement of the image of the House of Representatives in carrying out their duties, it is important to establish performance standards for each member of Parliament as dominant individual running their functions. Designing performance standards for members of Parliament is a process undertaken to draw up a performance standard for the House of Representatives members. Such a process begins with job analysis of Parliament members. The results of this analysis are then used to draw up a job description and work dimensions of Parliament members, to formulate performance standards for the House of Representatives members. The extraction process aims to soften the bones are milled using disc mill into nano sized calcium powder or nanocalcium. The objective of this research was to study the physicochemical properties of nanocalcium obtained from alkaline and acid extraction of tilapia bones. The results of physicochemical analysis properties of nanocalcium sample showed that nanocalcium extracted by alkaline solution had better properties than that of the untreated sample and nanocalcium extracted by acid solution. The results was indicated by the higher yield, brighter colors, smaller particle size, and calcium content (20.67%) and phosphorus (10.09%) with a ratio of Ca/P = 2.0. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectra profile indicated the presence of  phosphate group (PO43-) at the bands of 469, 563, 603, 961 and 1035 cm-1, and the presence of  apatite carbonate group (CO32-) was  indicated by intense bands at 873, 1416, 1456 and 1563 cm-1. The morphology of the sampel surface of the  alkaline extracted sample was  smoother, denser, and the grain size formed were relatively larger. The formed crystalline phases were HAp (hydroxyapatite), carbonate apatite type A [Ca10(PO4)6CO3] and B [Ca10(PO4)3(CO3)3(OH)2] with crystalline degree of 78.4%.

Abstract

AbstractThe objectives of this research were to study mortality of carambola fruit fly (B. carambolae D & H) and to study responses of VHT on quality of carambola (A. carambola L). Fruit fly mortality due to heat has been investigated by immersing fruit fly eggs into hot water at temperatures of 40, 43, 46 dan 49oC for 30 minutes and then at temperature of 46.5oC for 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 minutes. Star fruit were treated at temperature of 46.5oC for 5, 15, 30 minutes and then stored in temperatures of 5, 15oC and room temperature (28-30 oC). The result show that mortality has been achieved 100% at temperature more than 43.0oC for 30 minutes and at temperature 46.0oC for more than 15 minutes. VHT had significant influences to decrease the fruit respiration rates, chilling injury, antraknose, to increase the weight loss, color, and soluble solid content. However, there were no significant change in the hardness, water content, vitamin C and organoleptic test. VHT at temperature 46.5oC for 20 up to 30 minutes were effective to kill fruit flies inside carambola and VHT combined by storing in temperature of 15oC were able to maintain carambola quality during storage.Keywords: vapor heat treatment, fruit fly, B. carambolae, carambola, disinfestationDiterima: 1 Februari 2010; Disetujui: 19 April 2010

Abstract

Padi (Oryza Sativa) adalah satu tanaman yang banyak ditanam di Indonesia dan selama ini ditujukan untuk memperoleh beras, sedangkan produk yang lain seperti: sekam, dedak/bekatul, menir jerami I batang padi dianggap sebagai limbah. Hasil penggilingan padi gabah kering giling menghasilkan beras sebesar 60 — 66% sedangkan yang Iainnya berubah limbah adalah sekam, dedak/bekatul, menir. Salah satu limbah tersebut yang dapat dikembangkan untuk memperoleh nilai tambah adalah Sekam. Selama mi pemanfaatan sekam di Kabupaten Subang belum maksimal, masih terbatas pada bahan bakar dan campuran batu bata merah. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan nilal jual sekam rendah. Selanjutnya sekam yang belum termanfaatkan secara maksimal juga limbah dan tanaman, makanan dan industri merupakan persoalan bagi Indonesia. Persoalan utama, saat sekarang sulit diperoleh sekam segar secara terus menerus karena tanaman musiman. Masalah limbah baik Iimbah pertanian, limbah pangan maupun limbah industri masih merupakan hal yang cukup rumit di Indonesia. Kemudian dengan analisis MDS (Multi Dimensional Scaling) persoalan aplikasinya dapat berlanjut secara maksimum. Atas dasar beberapa pilihan pemanfaatan Sekam maka dengan AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) dapat ditentukan model kebijakan pengembangan minimalisasi sekam dikawasan sentra padi Kabupaten Subang, sebagai bahan bakar mesin pengering dalam industri padi. Kata kunci: pengembangan sekam, MDS, AHP

Abstract

Various kinds of tea can be used as food and anti-diabetic medicine. One of plants that can be used as medicinal subtancesis Teh Papua (Vernonia amygdalina). Teh Papua, as become one of the local wisdom in Papua, has been used for generations to medicate malaria epidemic and  blood sugar disease. Hence, good bussiness planning review will be needed to develop this potential plant. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of small Teh Papua industry. Descriptive research method was used in this research. Data are collected by observation, survey, and depth-interview with the bussiness actor. Aspects observed in this studyare aspects of market, marketing, technical and technological, organiza-tional and also management. Measurement of financial aspectfeasibility in this study is using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (Net B/C ), and Payback Period (PP). The result shows commercial financial analysis of Teh Papua indicates a positive NPV value of Rp. 316 068 835, IRR value of 45.17%, net value B/C of 2.48 and Payback Period of 17% and 27% depreciation.

Abstract

Textile product industry has an important role in the economy Tasikmalaya City, because contributing 42,1%  to manufacturing industry. Manufacturing industry contributing 14.6%  to the GRDP Tasikmalaya City. The problem faced by the industry of textile products is the increase in raw material prices, rising labor costs, the entry of lower-priced imported products, intense competition with similar companies and reduced orders from buyers. In an effort to maintain the continuity of their  business, it is necessary to develop a strategy of business development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the internal and external conditions, the formulation of strategic alternatives, prioritization and selection of strategic business development strategy PT PS. Results Internal Factor Evaluation (2.692) and External Factor Evaluation (2.334) puts the company's position in Cells V (companies should be preserved and maintained through market penetration strategies and product development. Methods of SWOT result formulation of strategies: (1) take advantage of competition among  suppliers to obtain raw materials at the lowest offer price, (2) Increasing production by expanding the partnership,  (3) promotion, (4) expand the marketing area, (5) maintain the quality of raw material, (6) improve product quality, (7) makes dyeing, (8) machine maintenance and machine engineering (9) labor skills training. Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) puts the promotion strategy as a priority. Implications of managerial are: (1) Aspects of production need to be supported by increased economies of scale by improving partnerships with other entrepreneurs, supplier selection, take advantage of the effects of learning and experience, (2) Aspects of HR need to increase the skills of workers, (3) Financial Aspects through cash payments from buyers and increased allocation of marketing costs, (4) marketing aspect through targeting the wholesale level market, expand marketing and mainte-nance of customer loyalty and (5) Aspects of technology through the restructuring of the machine.

Abstract

The application of effective halal assurance system model was one of producer�s effort to supply halal food for Moslem consumers. The objective Of this research was to develop halal assurance system concept which is consist of halal manual. Halal Standard Operating Procedure, Guideline, and Work Instruction which should be applied at Chicken Slaughter House. flied research used descriptive method by distributing questionnaire, direct observation, on-site verification and halal assurance system assessment on two Chicken Slaughter House. The halal assurance system assessment was conducted based on ISO 9000, 2000 guideline of arrangement of HACCP system. The conclusion of this research was that this Halal Assurance System was suitable to be used as a standard for Chicken Slaughter House. The document change on both industry was that of applied halal assurance system. It was found that there were two kinds of haram Critical Control Point, which were two points at raw material and four point at chicken production process.
