Abstract

Social isolation is an individual failure in the interaction with other people because of negative thinking or threatening.The purpose of this study to determine the effect of family psycho education therapy toward family’s ability on caring of client with social isolation. This study used a quasi experiment design by method of pre post test with control group. Respondents of this study were families where 48 clients with social isolation devided as random sampling consist of 24 respondents who got family psycho education therapy as the intervention group and 24 respondents who did not get family psycho education therapy as control group. Analysis univariate data by analyzing variables as descriptive. Analysis bivariate using dependent and independent sample t-test. Family psycho education therapy had been done by 5 sessions. Study result indicated that the average of respondent age were 43,81 females with basic educations and period of caring more than one year. Cognitive abilities in intervention group before therapy were 47,5 and after therapy were 77,5. Cognitive abilities in control group before therapy were 51,25 and after therapy were 64,17. The average of psychomotor abilities in intervention group before therapy were 48,75 and after therapy were 75,83. While the average of psychomotor abilities in control group before therapy were 52,5 and after therapy were 65. From result of bivariate analysis indicated that family psycho education therapy can improve affective and psychomotor abilities in intervention group compared than control group. It was recommended to implement above as family therapy on caring of clients with social isolation.

Abstract

Perilaku kekerasan adalah perilaku mencederai diri sendiri, orang lain, dan lingkungan. Ini menjadi alasan utama klien dirawat dirumah sakit. Salah satu terapi klien dengan perilaku kekerasan yaitu Assertiveness Training. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahuipengaruh Assertiveness Training terhadap perilaku kekerasan pada klien skizoprenia. Desain penelitian ini kuasi eksperimen prepost tes with control group. Sampel sebesar 72, diambil secara random sampling. Perilaku kekerasan meliputi respon perilaku,sosial dan fisik diukur melalui observasi, serta kognitif dengan kuesioner. Perbedaan perilaku kekerasan dianalisis dengan t test.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku kekerasan pada respon perilaku, kognitif, sosial dan fisik pada kelompok yang mendapatkanAssertiveness Training dan terapi generalis menurun secara bermakna (p= 0,00, ?= 0,05). Assertiveness Training terbuktimenurunkan perilaku kekerasan klien Skizoprenia. Penelitian tentang penerapan Assertiveness Training pada kasus selainperilaku kekerasan diperlukan untuk melengkapi informasi tentang manfaat terapi ini.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce health education media in form of Video Compact Disk (VCD). The first disk consist of method how to take care of patient with social isolation and the second disk consist of method how to take care of patient with violence behaviour. The implementation of audiovisual media is giving for family in Psyciatric Ward Banyumas hospital. The family divided in two groups, the first group was given health education about social isolation and the second group was given health education about violence behaviour. Analizise method used frequency distribution and the family respon with question. The implementation of this media showed that after giving family education, the family knowledge about caring patient with social isolation and violence behaviour was increased.

Abstract

The design of this study is a "Quasi experimental pre and post test with control group by the intervention of self-help groups. The intervention group the day I: pre-test, the third day of self-helppgroups six sessions over three weeks and the fourth week post-test. In the control group pre-test day l and day seven post test. Way of purposive sampling to sample as many as 40 families. Means of collecting data using questionnaires family characteristics and family coping questionnaire. The results showed an increase in the ability of families with mentally retarded children were significantly (p value = 0.000). Recommended to establish and implement self-helppgroups for families who have children mental retardation.

Abstract

For people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), to be diagnozed AIDS is a big problem. Psychologic problem of PLWHA will lead negative behaviour toward himself such as tend to suicide since the transmission of HIV/AIDS will be cut off if it is done. Therefore, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be given to PLWHA to develop aceeptance and commitment behaviour. The aim of this study is to know the impact of ACT toward PLWHA aceptance and commitment to himself and his society. It is an experimental design with non randomized pretest and posttest with control group design. Purposive sampling method is used in this study. The result shows that there was significant differences of acceptance and commitment among experimental group after receiving ACT (p=.000).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the behavior of people with mental disorders who are shackled in the district of Puskesmas Sokaraja II. We use qualitative fenomenology research design. The data collecting use indepth interview to 13 participants , they are families, community and health care workers. According to the research result, care service for the shackled patients including food and bath service. The reason of the family for shackling are self and environment harm, risk of killing someone, wandering around and disturbing the environment. Factors that influence shackling is that mental disorder is untreatable, dangerous, stigma that hospital care does not solve the problem, fund and health insurance factor that make them think that mental disorder is the family’s responsibility.

Abstract

Research aimed to describe stress management of client with mental disorder after hospitalization. This study used the collecting data with in depth  interview to 10 participants and families . This research showed that stressor of client with mental disorder were undisciplined taking, medicine, unacceptable of environment, shy and  being excluded. Appraissal of stressor were shy, angry and feeling of unbelieve by other. Coping resources were family, society evironment and positive believe. Coping mechanism that used were sharing with others, do activity and blame others. Patient with mental disorder relap because of lack of self management, family support, and in conductive environment.

Abstract

Problems unhealthy sexual behavior and drug use in adolescents resulting in adolescents vulnerable to contracting HIV / AIDS. In the world every year, the majority of humans infected with HIV in the 15-24 year age range. Every day nearly 6,000 teens in the world infected with HIV, this means that there are 250 teenagers are infected every hour of every day. Nearly 12 million young people living with the HIV-infected condition, adolescents under the age of 25 years the percentage is 28% of the total 42 million people living with HIV. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of coaching with the peer education approach to changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of adolescents with HIV / AIDS. This type of research is the study quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling in this study was conducted using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. Statistically by paired t test coaching peer education approach to significantly improve the knowledge (p = 0.000) and changing attitudes (p = 0.001) and behavior (p = 0.002) adolescents against HIV / AIDS. But the statistical test by independent t test coaching with peer education approach does not significantly increase the knowledge and changing attitudes and behavior of adolescents on HIV / AIDS (p = 0261).  Keywords: teenagers, coaching, peer education, HIV / AIDS
