Abstract

This study presents the competence of vocational high school teachers through the implementation of five work dimensions of teachers? incremental standard competence. It was conducted in the framework of the sustainable professional development for vocational teachers using participatory action research at two Vocational High Schools by involving 50 teachers. The study included socialization of incremental competency standards and reflection, mentoring and consultation sessions, and teaching reports and reflection. Data collection used observation, assessment, and teaching reports. To optimize the results, it was ended with a focus group discussion involving the Institute for Education Quality Assurance. The results showed that the teachers? competence in the aspects of the learning plan, learning resource utilization, media utilization, facilitating students? learning needs, ability to create learning evaluation instrument, and following up the learning outcomes were all categorized as good while the aspect of developing students? potentials both curriculum implementation and reflection ability was categorized as very good. It indicates the mentoring and the consultation worked effectively. Meanwhile, the teachers' ability that should be improved is the creation of assessment instruments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kebutuhan materi pengembangan profesionalismeberkelanjutan guru SMK Teknik Audio Video pada semua jenjang jabatan fungsionalguru. Sampel penelitian 63 guru dari 13 SMK penyelenggara konsentrasi keahlian TeknikAudio Video di DIY dan 5 mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Elektronika FT-UNY yang telahlulus mata kuliah KKN-PPL sebagai sampel calon guru lulusan perguruan tinggi. Sampeldiambil dengan strati? ed random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara,observasi, dan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan Rank-Order of Difference Scores.Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, secara keseluruhan terdapat perbedaan kebutuhanmateri pengembangan profesionalisme berkelanjutan guru ditinjau dari jabatan fungsionalguru. Kedua, ada empat kesamaan prioritas kebutuhan materi pengembangan profesionalismeberkelanjutan guru untuk semua jenjang jabatan guru, yaitu:  pemahaman karakteristik pesertadidik, penyelenggaraan pembelajaran mendidik, kemitraan, dan pembelajaran keterampilanabad ke-21.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan penggunaan paket video untuk mengajarkan ketrampilan elektronika. Kriteria efektif adalah meningkatnya motivasi berprestasi, prestasi belajar, serta meningkatnya sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran ketrampilan elektronika setelah siswa belajar ketrampilan elektronika dengan paket video sebagai media belajar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri Tridadi (SLTP 3 Sleman) dan SMP Negeri I (SLTP 1) Sleman Yogyakarta, tahun ajaran 1996/1997. Pengambilan sample dengan Random Assignment dan pengundian bertingkat. Rancangan penelitia ynag digunakn adalah Randomized Control Group Pre-test Post test Design. Prestasi belajar siswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes pencapaian hasil belajar (r=0,834) dan penilaian benda kerja hasil praktek. Sedangkan motivasi berpretasi dan sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran ketramplilan elektronika diukur dengan kuesioner menggunakan Skala Likert dengan r=0,81 untuk ubahan motivasi berprestasi dan r=0,96 untuk ubahan sikap belajar siswa. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan ANAKOVA satu jalur, dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Temuan penelitian menunjukan skor yang meyakinkan untuk ketiga ubahan(prestasi belajar, motivasi berprestasi serta sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran ketrampilan elektronika) terjadi pada kelompok eksperimen. Dari hasil analisis ANAKOVA  satu jalurselanjutnya dapat diyakini bahwa penggunaan paket video untuk mengajarkan ketrampilan elektronika dapat meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi, prestasi belajar serta sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran ketrampilan elektronika.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to produce a tiered teacher qualification standards of competence and qualification assessment levels rise as a guide ongoing professional development of teachers of VHS.Type mix of research methods, approaches Research and Development of Richey and Klein (2009, p.8) are limited to 2 stages of development and product validation. Internal validation by expert judgment Delphi Technique 2 rounds and FGD. External validation of the test product on teachers vocational competency skills Techniques Audio Video in Yogyakarta. Retrieving data using questionnaires. Test the validity of the instrument using factor analysis with SPSS version 20, the validity of 77.781% in the high category. Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient of 0.896 in the category of very reliable. Data were analyzed using the Rank-Order of Difference Scores.Stakeholders assess differences in the demands of professional competence and work area clear hierarchy between the teacher. Standard assessment level rise is able to describe the complexity of teaching. Effectiveness qualification standards can be improved mainly through the standard explanation tiered competence and qualifications, assessment of real professional attributes inherent in the everyday lives of teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to improve the readiness of the students in performing Field Practice through peer teaching practice and Jigsaw cooperative learning approach. The approach of the study used classroom action research with the subject of the study were the students of bachelor program of Electronical Engineering who took video technique course. The study was done by the following steps, pre-action to balance the researcher?s perception and debriefing consisting designing lesson plan and micro teaching. The validity of the instruments of pedagogy competency was analyzed by item correlation, the result were, preparation r=0,73; implementation r=0,89 and evaluation r=0,97. The result of reliability testing for preparation was very reliable with r=0,89; implementation is very reliable with r=0,97 and implementation is less reliable with r=0,53. The result of the study showed that the students get a real picture of teacher?s responsibility through the exposure to the experiences of peer-tutoring, preparation, teaching practice, and evaluating the result of the study.The students?competence in preparation, teaching, and evaluating the result of study was improved cycle by cycle. The improvement in students?teaching skills was followed by improvement of the result of video technique learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was aimed to identify the profiles of teachers' expertise and professional development in Technology and Engineering Expertise Program (TEEP) of Vocational Secondary Schools (VSSs). This study was conducted with a survey approach. The population consisted of 1025 teachers of TEEP at VSSs in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The samples were 280 teachers selected with proportional random sampling. Data were collected by an open-ended questionnaire and analyzed with a descriptive method. Results of the study identified the profiles of expertise that included the majority of teacher?s employment status is government employees and scanty non-government employees. The range of working time is mostly from 7 and 18 years. Teachers mostly participate in the teachers? certification through the professional teachers training program.  A few number of the teachers have the additional expertise certificates, and none of the teachers has the dual expertise certificates. Furthermore, types of the teachers? professional development activities that followed by most of the teachers are seminars, journals, learning media, and participating as members of teachers association.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogi dan kompetensi vokasional mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Sistem Video dengan metode Jigsaw dan peer teaching, sehingga mahasiswa lebih siap dalam menempuh pengajaran mikro dan berhasil dalam pelaksanaan praktek lapangan di sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan desain tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2009/2010 dengan jumlah 34 mahasiswa.  Tindakan awal peneliti membekali mahasiswa tentang penyusunan RPP, pengajaran mikro dan difasilitasi modul pembelajaran dalam bentuk soft copy, hardcopy, link dengan informasi terkait dalam BESMART, konsultasi dilayani melalui email, dan chating. Kelompok ahli terdiri dari 4-5 anggota menyusun RPP, melengkapi materi, evaluasi hasil belajar dan media pembelajaran. Setiap mahasiswa bertindak sebagai guru menyampaikan materi kepada anggotanya yang berasal dari tim ahli yang berbeda serta mengevaluasi pemahaman mereka. Mahasiswa yang berperan sebagai siswa menilai cara mengajar temannya yang berlaku sebagai guru.  Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, kuesioner dam tes hasil belajar kemudian dianalisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran pendekatan kooperatif Jigsaw dengan peer teaching dari siklus ke siklus: 1) meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogi meliputi peningkatan kemampuan membuat persiapan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi pembelajaran;  2) meningkatkan kompetensi vokasional 3) mendapat respon positip dari mahasiwa karena pembelajaran lebih bermakna dan merasa dilatih untuk mengajar serta lebih memahami gambaran tugas guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana profil lulusan Profi D3 Teknik Elektronika, penilaian alumni mengenai mutu penyelenggaraan program yang ada di Prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika, dan penilaian stakeholders terhadap kompetensi lulusan prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penelusuran alumni dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.pelaksanaan tracer study dilakukan dengan konsep tahapan survey menurut Schomburg, yaitu tahap 1 pengembangan konsep dan instrumen, tahap 2 pengumpulan data, dan tahap 3 analisa data serta penulisan laporan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 55 orang alumni Prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika dan 10 orang pengguna alumni (stakeholders) Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada alumni dan stakeholders secara langsung dan melalui google doc. Metode analisis data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan evaluatif. Kuesioner penilaian penyelenggaraan prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika oleh alumni dan penilaian kompetensi alumni oleh stakeholders diberikan lima alternatif jawaban, yaitu sangat baik, baik, cukup baik, kurang baik, dan tidak baik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata IPK lulusan prodi D3 Teknik Elektronika untuk angkatan 2008 – 2014 adalah 3,27 dan lama masa studi 3 tahun 8 bulan. Sebagian besar masa tunggu alumni dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan ± 3 bulan dan bekerja sebagai karyawan swasta dan teknisi swasta dengan pendapatan 1-3 juta/bulan. Penilaian alumni terhadap layanan administrasi, aspek pembelajaran, pengalaman belajar, dan keterlibatan dalam penelitian dan PPM termasuk dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan penilaian alumni tentang fasilitas perkuliahan tergolong cukup baik. Penilaian stakeholders terhadap alumni dalam hal integritas, keahlian bidang ilmu, kemampuan mengatasi permasalahan, kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan bekerjasama termasuk dalam kategori baik. sedangkan kemampuan alumni dalam berbahasa inggris tergolong cukup baik.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the steps to develop a workshop technique module for learning and satisfying process for learning. This learning module is used in workshop technique, subject class X skill competency audio-video technique in SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. This research using method Research and Development (R&D) version Borg and Gallyang have been simplified by Anik Ghufron with 4 steps: 1) introduction study; 2) Development; 3) experiment test; 4) disseminate. The result of the research shows from the validation material expertise has score 3,40 and claimed very satisfy, validation for media expertise has score 3,75 and claimed very satisfy. Meanwhile, the result for experiment  test  get  score 3,20  and  claimed  to  satisfy.  Consideration  from validation  result  and experiment test, thus learning module is developed satisfy for used on process workshop technique learning

Abstract

The making of prototype robot waste water collection aims to know the performance itself. The prototype of the Aquatic Waste Collection Robot is designed to float and clean trash in remote controlled waters. The main control drives a series of DC brushless motors to drive while the MG995 servo motor drives a rudder or defender. The device is also equipped with a camera as a medium to see the condition of the robot directly or in real time which will be displayed on the monitor screen. The camera and screen are connected to a telemetry circuit consisting of a transmitter and receiver with a frequency of 5.8 GHz, and a Li-Po battery as a source of robot power supply. The results of prototype testing of water garbage collection robots have been carried out in Embung Langensari Yogyakarta with a depth of 2-3 meters and an area of 5890 m2, the robot can go with a maximum speed of 0.3 m / s with or without the garbage load. Garbage nets used with a capacity of 20 liters. Robots can maneuver to turn right or left with a rudder. In the garbage collection process, this robot can collect relatively small waste
