Abstract

Mathematics is a form of culture integrated in all aspects of society, wherever there are, including the sundanese ethnic communities. This enables the mathematical concepts embedded in cultural practices and recognizes that all people develop a special way of doing mathematics called ethnomathematics activities. Sundanese ethnomathematics is mathematics in sundanese culture implemented in community activities. Sundanese ethnic sundanese people living in the area of West Java Indonesia, speaking sundanese language, and having activities  reflecting sundanese culture. Sundanese ethnomathematics in this study has three activities, namely estimating, measuring, and making patterns appearing in the activities in term of kibik (a unit for measuring volume), bata (a unit for measuring surface area), and path pihuntuan (a model of cane work).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.8.2.4055.185-198

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian campuran abu terbang-kotoran ayam (ATB-KA) terhadap perubahan titik muatan nol (TMN) tanah dan dampaknya terhadap jerapan dan ketersediaan P pada Ultisol. Dua perlakuan yang diuji adalah ATB-KA (w/w 1:1) pada dosis 0, 15, 30, 45 dan 60 ton ha-1, dan pemupukan P pada dosis 0, 87, 174, 261 dan 348 kg P2O5 ha-1.  Perlakuan ini ditata dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi CATK untuk setiap dosis pemupukan P berkorelasi secara nyata dengan status tanah TMN, pH, muatan negatif, jerapan dan ketersediaan P. TMN berkorelasi positif dengan pH dan muatan negatif. Muatan negatif secara nyata berkorelasi negatif dengan jerapan P, dan berkorelasi positif dengan P tersedia. Modification of PZS of Soil With Variable Charge by Application of Coal Fly Ash-Chicken Manure MixtureABSTRACT. The objective of current research was to study the effect of coal fly ash-chicken manure mixture (FA-CM) on the changes on the soil PZC status and its impact on P sorption and availability in Ultisols. Two treatments - FA-CM mixture (w/w of 1:1) at the rate of 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 ton ha-1, and P fertilization at the rate of 0, 87, 174, 261 and 348 kg P2O5 ha-1 were tested.  These treatments were arranged according to Factorial Completely Random Design with three replicates. The results showed that the application of FA-CM for each dosages of P fertilizer correlated significantly with the status of soils PZC, pH, negative charge, P sorption and P-available. PZC has possitive correlation with pH and negative charge. Negative charge has a significantly negative correlation with P sorption, and posssitively correlation with P-available.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to describe the reasons why social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is effective to strengthen the students character; 2) to describe the effectiveness of social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching in to strengthen the students character; 3) to compare the effectiveness of the enhancement of the students character of social science learning through the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching and conventional social science learning. This research used the mixed methods. The population was the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary Schools in Solo Raya and its vicinity which encompasses Surakarta City, Boyolali Regency, Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Sragen, and Klaten. The data were collected through (1) test, (2) questionnaire, (3) in-depth interview, (4) observation, and (5) documentation. The data were analyzed by using the difference test. The results of research are as follows: 1) the reasons why social science learning process based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is effective to strengthen the students character 2) Social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is more effective in strengthen the students understanding of character education, and it is more effective than the conventional learning as indicated by the results of the difference test.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: Effectiveness of the STAD type cooperative learning model on fraction counting skills in IVC class 2016/2017 academic year. This research is experimental research. with the design of the One Group Pretest Potest Design. The research sample was obtained from all class students of class IVB MIN Nglawu Sukoharjo totaling 38 students consisting of 23 male students and 15 female students .. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The technique of collecting data uses a fraction counting skill test. Test the validity of the data using the item analysis test using Anates. Data analysis techniques in this study are t-test and N-gain test. In this study analyzed with the help of SPSS 21 software t test and N-gain test.The result of calculating the value of "t" is equal to - 15,989 with sig (2-tailed) equal to 0,000 whose value is less than 0.05. It can be concluded that there are significant differences in fraction counting skills before and after using the STAD type cooperative learning model. The results of the calculation of effectiveness using the N-gain formula are 0.427, if it is confirmed by the effectiveness criteria and the results fall into the criteria of being.

Abstract

A political party had main function to supply for political recruitment. The recruitment processes would determine the quality and modernity of the party as well as the process of democracy. Comparing of recruitment processes of Golkar party between the general election of 1999 and 2004 was significant to identify the future of Golkar big political party as well as the next Indonesian politics. There were a lots of benefits taken from learning the recruitment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Changes in Point of Zero Charge and Negative Charge of Coal Fly Ash due to Chicken Manures Addition Fly ash, coal combustion residue of thermal power plants, has been regarded as a problematic solid waste all over the world. Due to the environmental problems created by large-scale fly ash generation, efforts are being made to recycle these materials, such as to improve soil fertility as an ameliorant. In the present study, the possibility to improving the status of point of zero charge (PZC) and negative charge in fly ash (FA) and chicken manure (CM) mixtures was investigated. Fly ash was mixed with chicken manure composition of 0, 25, 75, and 100 % FA (w/w basis) and incubated for 15, 30, 45, and 60 days. Treatments arranged in factorial completely randomized design with 3 replicates. The results showed that the compositions of FA-CM and incubation period significantly affect the status of TMN, negative charge, P sorption and available-P. The mix of 50% FA with 45 days incubation tend to have a lower PZC and P sorption and higher negative charge and P-available. This composition could be use as an amelioran to improve the soils chemical properties in terms to decrease PZC and increase negatif charge, and it is necessary for further research.   Keywords: chicken manure, coal fly ash, point of zero charge, negative charge

Abstract

This study looks at the wastes derived from Indonesian fruit as prospect for biofuels. This report investigates the chemical composition of Srikaya (Annona squamosal sp.) seed, which is disposed as waste products from traditional markets. The seeds were extracted with various extraction methods and the oil obtained was analysed by means of gas chromatography (GC/FID), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS), infra-red spectrometry and ultra-violet-visible spectrometry. It was found 2 h extraction using soxhlet apparatus with diethyl ether as solvent gave the optimum time extraction. Moreover, five major components were isolated from i.e.: ethyl hexadecanoate, ethyl hexadec-9-enoate, ethyl octadecanoate, 2-hydroxy-1,3-propanediyl hexadecanoate, octadec-9-enaldehyde, and unknown compound, respectively.

Abstract

δ-guaien merupakan komponen utama kedua dari minyak nilam setelah patchouli alkohol yang dapat diderivatisasi menjadi senyawa eter dengan posisi pada karbon tersier. Senyawa eter pada posisi ini dapat digunakan sebagai zat campuran bahan bakar minyak untuk menaikkan angka oktan. Reaksi eterifikasi dapat dilakukan menggunakan berbagai macam reaksi dengan katalis logam. Penelitian ini fokus pada reaksi katalis logam untuk mensintesis senyawa eter dari δ-guaien sebagai bahan dasar. Reaksi dilakukan menggunakan katalis FeCl3/p-TsOH.H2O dan dianalisa menggunakan FTIR dan KG-SM. Hasil dari FTIR menunjukkan adanya puncak baru pada spectra IR pada 1076 cm-1 yang menunjukkan adanya ikatan C-O eter. Untuk hasil dengan KG-SM, diperoleh senyawa eter sebesar 1,25% dari kromatrogam KG-MS. Persen terbesar dari kromatrogam adalah senyawa alkohol sebesar 88,99%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa logam efektif digunakan sebagai katalis, namun untuk reaksi eterifikasi katalis seharusnya bebas dari kandungan air untuk mencegah terjadinya produk alkohol.

Abstract

δ-Guaien adalah komponen utama kedua dari minyak nilam, yang struktur molekulnya mengandung ikatan ganda. Ikatan ganda ini dapat teroksidasi membentuk senyawa teroksidasi seperti δ-guaien epoksida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan reaksi epoksidasi δ-guaien. Epoksidasi dilakukan dengan mereaksikan senyawa δ-guaien menggunakan katalis MnSO4.H2O dalam pelarut t-BuOH. Produk yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrofotometer Massa (KG-SM) dan FT-IR. Aroma dari δ-guaien epoksida dikarakterisasi dengan uji organoleptik yang didasarkan pada penilaian panelis. Hasil dari FT-IR menunjukkan adanya puncak pada 1256,57 cm-1 yang menunjukkan adanya ikatan C-O-C eter siklis. Hasil dengan KG-SM menunjukkan senyawa δ-guaien epoksida pada waktu retensi 23,553 menit dan mirip dengan isokariofilen oksida sebagai senyawa standart. Karakter organoleptik menunjukkan aroma hard woody (sineol) dengan konversi sebesar 15,45%.

Abstract

It has been designed and analyzed the low cost viscometer using falling ball method, the sample analyzed is glycerin fluid at 20oC. Two optocoupler circuits have been used as time measurement system of falling ball between two references point, light source used was infrared laser diode. The computer acquisition system use serial communication and it has been perfectly made and characterized. The velocity measurement system has 0.75 x 10-1 s resolution, but the resolution of integrated system both of hardware and acquisition software, is about 10-1 s. The theoretical viscosity value has been calculated and simulated to abtain the absolute viscosity value. This simulation results have been analyzed and compared with the experiment results. The correction factor for velocity calculation has been discussed and gave the optimum value of velocity correction factor (0.4425), regarding to the dimension of tube and ball used in this research. Based on the experiment, the viscosity of glycerin obtained was 1418.0309±1.6157 mPa.s., this value was with similar with the literatures and has a 0.57% of accuracy error (ε0).
