Abstract

Abstract: This research has an explanatory mixed method design which aims to analyze the influence of discovery learning assisted by moodle on the problem-solving skills and ICT literacy of SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo student. The research subjects consisted of 37 XI grade students from each experimental class and the control class. Instruments test in the form of 5 description questions to measure problem-solving abilities and performance questionnaires to measure ICT literacy skills. The results of the manova statistical test showed that the value of wilks lamda has Sig. (0.005) < (0.05). This shows that discovery learning assisted by moodle influences ICT problem solving and literacy ICT skills.Key Words: problem-solving skills, ICT literacy, discovery learning, moodle Abstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki desain mixed method explanatory yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran discovery berbantuan moodle terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi ICT siswa SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo. Subjek penelitan terdiri atas 37 siswa kelas XI dari masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen test berupa 5 soal uraian untuk mengukur ke-mampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket performen untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi ICT. Hasil dari uji statistik manova didapatkan nilai wilks lamda sebesar Sig. (0,005) < (0,05). Hal tersebut menunjuk-kan bahwa pembelajaran discovery berbantuan moodle berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi ICT.Kata kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah, literasi ICT, pembelajaran discovery, moodle

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable self-rating scale instrument for measuring Self-Directed Learning (SDL) skills. This DDI study follows the steps of Hinkin?s development (1995) which consists of five stages: creating an item pool, expert conclusion, implementation, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability analysis. The self-rating scale developed in this study consisted of sixty statements accompanied by a 1-5 Likert scale. Based on the factors analysis, 16 items were still in the draft and 44 items were declared valid and reliable. Five factors that are determined are: awareness (8 items, ? = 0.717), learning strategies (9 items, ? = 0.806), and learning activities (7 items, ? = 0.777), evaluation (8 items, ? = 0.790), and interpersonal skills (12 items, ? = 0.907). The reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) of the self-rating scale is ? = 0.933, with the required reliability criteria is 0.5. On a scale conversion of 1-100, the student?s highest score of SDL skills is 93, and the lowest score SDL skills are 31 (SD = 20.334).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in scientific literacy of students who were given inquiry learning through a real-virtual Monte Carlo experiment with students who were given conventional learning. This study used quasi experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. The results showed that the ability of students who were taught by inquiry learning models through real-virtual Monte Carlo experiments had higher scientific literacy than those taught with conventional models, it also applied well to students with high and low initial abilities. The results of the average gain in scientific literacy scores also showed a higher value between students who studied with the inquiry model through a real-virtual Monte Carlo experiment with students who studied with conventional models. The novelty of this research is combining real and virtual activities become real-virtual Monte Carlo by using the inquiry learning model to improve students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

ENHANCEMENT OF PHYSICS PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS WITH INQUIRY-DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine differences in problem solving abilities of students who were given inquiry-discovery learning through web-assisted empirical-theoretical reviews with students who were given conventional learning. This study uses a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The average gain score of the problem solving ability test shows that students who are taught with inquiry-discovery learning through web-assisted empirical-theoretical reviews are higher than students who are taught with conventional learning. Hypothesis test results show that students who are learning with inquiry-discovery learning through web-assisted empirical-theoretical reviews have higher problem solving abilities than students who are taught with conventional learning, this also applies to students with high or low initial abilities. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diberi pembelajaran inquiry-discovery melalui tinjuan empiris-teoritis berbantuan web dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan quasi exsperiment pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil rata-rata gain score tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah menunjukkan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran inquiry-discovery melalui tinjuan empiris-teoritis berbantuan web lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang dibelajarakan dengan pembelajaran inquiry-discovery melalui tinjuan empiris-teoritis berbantuan web memiliki peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang dibelajarakan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, hal ini juga berlaku pada siswa yang berkemampuan awal tinggi maupun rendah.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of inquiry-scaffolding on critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding. The research design used was a mixed-method embedded experimental model. The samples were 64 students. Two-way ANOVA test results for critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding are the same, where the significance value of the learning model = 0.00 (smaller than the alpha value of 0.05). It means that there are differences in critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding of students who learn by inquiry-scaffolding models ( IS) with conventional models. The interaction value between the learning model and the initial ability to critical thinking skills (CTS) is 0.502, while the conceptual understanding is 0.788. It means that there is no interaction between the learning model and the initial ability to CTS, or conceptual understanding. The results of advanced tests with the Tukey test prove that CTS and the conceptual understanding of students with high ability who experience learning with IS are higher than students with high ability in conventional learning. The same thing also applies to students with low initial ability. Thus, it was concluded that the learning model with an inquiry-based scaffolding technique was superior in improving CTS and conceptual understanding, on students with high and low initial abilities. Therefore, this technique can be used in other learning by using different moderator variables

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang penyelesaian persamaan diferensial Riccati  dengan menggunakan metode dekomposisi Adomian Laplace (LADM). Metode dekomposisi Adomian Laplace merupakan metode semi analitik untuk menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial nonlinier yang mengkombinasikan antara tranformasi Laplace dan metode dekomposisi Adomian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, metode dekomposisi Adomian Laplace dapat menghampiri penyelesaian persamaan diferensial biasa nonlinear.

Abstract

Metode Newton Ganda adalah salah satu metode iterasi yang digunakan untuk menentukan akar-akar persamaan nonlinier dengan konvergensi orde empat. Banyaknya iterasi yang digunakan oleh  sebuah metode iterasi bergantung kepada orde konvergensinya. Semakin tinggi orde konvergensinya, semakin sedikit iterasi yang dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, pada kajian ini penulis memodifikasi metode Newton Ganda dengan menggunakan kelengkungan kurva untuk meningkatkan orde konvergensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa modifikasi metode Newton Ganda dengan menggunakan kelengkungan kurva menghasilkan sebuah metode iterasi baru dengan konvergensi orde delapan.

Abstract

Rice-stink bug (Leptocorisa acuta Thumb) that attack rice crop often causing heavy damage of panicle of rice as well as decreasing either quantity or quality of grain after harvest. The objective of this research was to select 14 entomopatogenic fungi of Beauveria spp. isolates, collected from rice stink bug (L. acuta) and their pathogenicity assay to insect host L. acuta. We also aimed to study diversity of Beuveria spp. which was isolated from insect host from Situgede, Bogor. The research was conducted at Laboratory, and Green house of Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research and Development, Bogor, in 2014. Result of the study showed that isolates from Situgede Bogor were sucessfully isolated  as Beauveria spp. based on Koch Postulat assay.  The identified fourteen isolates were morphologically confirmed as Beauveria spp. The pathogenicity test was indicated by symptoms and mortality of rice stink bug after inoculation with these entomopathogenic fungi. The Beuveria isolates Stgd2(14)1, Stgd6(14)1, Stgd7(14)2, Stgd8(14)2, and Stgd0113 were the most virulent isolates. Stgd2(14)1 provided the fastest time to kill L. acuta with LT50 values of 6.9 days. The 13 isolates of Beauveria were well amplified by ITS primers. However, no diversity was found among isolates, presumably due its narrow host range tested.
