Abstract

Ibu menyusui membutuhkan asupan gizi lebih banyak daripada ibu yang tidak menyusui sehingga membutuhkan keberagaman jenis makanan yang dikonsumsi. Sebagian besar ibu menyusui di Indonesia memiliki status gizi yang kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan keberagaman jenis makanan, tingkat kecukupan gizi dengan status gizi ibu menyusui. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik observasional menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 96 ibu menyusui yang masih memberikan ASI dengan usia bayi 0-6 bulan. Jumlah subjek 53 orang yang dipilih dengan  teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor keberagaman jenis makanan adalah 8,73 dengan kategori sedang sebanyak (39,6%). Kelompok pangan yang kurang dikonsumsi adalah sayur dan buah-buahan.  Tingkat kecukupan energi kurang sebanyak (56,6%), kecukupan protein kurang sebanyak (52,8%), kecukupan lemak kurang sebanyak (58,5%) dan kecukupan vitamin A kurang sebanyak (58,5%). Status gizi ibu menurut IMT sebagian besar (52,8%) tergolong normal. Ada hubungan antara keberagaman jenis makanan (p=0,024), kecukupan energi (p=0,000), dan food taboo (p=0,044) dengan IMT.Tidak ada hubungan tingkat kecukupan protein (p=0,152), lemak (p=0,070), vitamin A (p=0,401), prioritas makanan dalam keluarga (p=0,084) dengan IMT. Disarankan kepada puskesmas untuk meningkatkan frekuensi promosi kesehatan seperti penyuluhan makanan sehat, beragam terutama pentingnya mengkonsumsi sayur dan buah-buahan saat menyusui oleh petugas kesehatan seperti kader posyandu.

Abstract

Severe acute malnutrition is a condition where nutritional deficiencies are seen based on nutritional status that is below the average standard determined based on the anthropometric indicator of body weight by height (WHZ)) with z-score <-3 SD and presence or absence of edema. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with malnutrition status in under five child in Nutrition House of Semarang City. The type of research used is descriptive analytic quantitative research with cross sectional method. Population in this research is all mother and child who undergo recovery at Home Nutrition by sampling technique using total sampling technique that is 20. Anthropometric measurements were performed to calculate z-scores, filling out questionnaires, food recalls and food and non-family food expenditure forms. After doing the research, it is known that child suffering from severe acute malnutrition based on indicator WHZ is as many 11 people (55%). The results showed that variables associated with nutrition status were energy consumption level (p = 0,002), protein consumption (p = 0,04), and infectious disease (p = 0,000). While the variables associated with the level of energy and protein consumption is maternal nutrition knowledge and family economic status variables (p = 0.001).

Abstract

Background : Zn supplementation on stunted children in multiple research get the result inconsistent concerning the effect of Zn on children?s growth.Objective : To examine the effect of Zn supplementation to the change in height for index among stunted children age between 24-36 months.Methods: The research design is randomized pretest posttest control group design. The total of thirty six stunted children are divided into two groups. The treatment group is received syrup with 20 mg ZnSO4 twice a week for three months. The control group received placebo without Zn. Height for age z score (HAZ) on WHO Child Growth 2006 is used to measure height for age index while dietary intake and infection diseases are used as confounding variables.Result : There is significant difference in HAZ before and after supplementation at treatment group (p<0.001) and control group (p<0.001). There is a significant difference of the change in HAZ between the treatment group and control group (p=0.006). Percentage Achievement of Energy, Protein, and Zn Dietary Allowance have significant difference between the treatment group and control group (p=0.009; p<0.001; p<0.001, respectively). The change in HAZ, Percentage Achievement of Energy, Protein, and Zn Dietary Allowance are higher in treatment group than control group. Duration of diarrhea (p=0.045) and morbidity (p=0.019) are lower in treatment group than control group. Conclusion : Zn Supplementation among stunted children have significant effect on the change in HAZ, dietary intake, and infection.

Abstract

Background : Anemia is one of the most prevalent nutrition problems. Based on a national survey in 1995, the prevalence of anemia was 57.1% among adolescent girls in Indonesia. Adolescent girls have higher risk of anemia compared to the schoolchildren and adults as they are still in the period of rapid growing, while they also start to think about body image. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the determinants of anemia among adolescent girls in Kecamatan Gebog, Kabupaten Kudus. Method : This observational study was conducted cross sectionally by survey method. The population was adolescent girls aged 13-18 years, with a total sample of 163 girls who were chosen from the adolescent girls in four villages by multistage random sampling method. Data were analysed by Rank Spearman correlation and Chi Square test, which then continued to multivariate analysis by logistic regression test (forward method). Result : The results showed that the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls in Kecamatan Gebog, Kabupaten Kudus was 36.8%. The correlation tests showed that there were associations between parents? education level, family income, adolescents? knowledge and attitude toward anemia and food consumption levels (energy, protein, iron, vitamin A and C). Conclusion : There were correlations between food consumption levels (energy, protein, iron, vitamin A and C), menstruation pattern, infection incidence and anemia incidence (p<0.05). The determinants of anemia among adolescent girls in Kecamatan Gebog, Kabupaten Kudus were energy, iron, vitamin A consumption levels, menstruation pattern and infection incidence. Abstract

Obesity arises as a result of energy input that exceeds energy expenditure until most of the excess energy will be stored as fat and the body weight increases. When viewed from the gender, women are more likely to be obese due to lower female metabolism. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related with the obesity in female employees. The type of this research was analytical descriptive with cross sectional design. The population of the research was female employees in PT Telecommunication Jakarta in 2017 as 66 people. Sampling technique was purposive sampling so get it a sample of 42 people. Anthropometric measurements were conducted in body weight and height, characteristic questionnaire filling, physical activity questionnaire using Global Physically Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ), filling stress questionnaire using Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS), filling the recall form for 2 days for nutritional adequacy. The data analysis used chi square test. After doing the research, it was found 42 respondents out of total 66 respondents. The result showed, there were 28 (66,7%) of obese female employees (IMT?27 kg/m2). The result showed that there was a relation between marital status (p= 0.011), offspring (p = 0.01) with obesity of female employees in PT Telecommunication Jakarta in 2017. There was no relation of age, income, nutritional status, physical activity and stress with obesity of female employees in PT Telecommunication Jakarta in 2017. It was suggested for female employees do routine physical activity.

Abstract

Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) is a nutritional problem due to the lack of iodine sources consumption resulting in hormonal disorders.Based on Central Java Provincial Health Office data, the coverage of eligible iodized salt in 2012 was 63.90%, in 2013 was 70.52%, in 2014 was 76.07%, in 2015 was 78.97%, and in 2016 was 81.29%. According to the result of palpation of thyroid gland examination by Undaan Integrated Service Unit in 2014, on elementary schoolchildrenwas 70.50% and in 2013 in Kudus Regency one case of IDD was found.The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between iodized salt consumption and goitrogenic substances with the incidence of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) in agricultural area on Terangmas elementary schoolchildren of Undaan Sub-district, Kudus Regency in 2017.The type of the research usedwas analytical research (explanatory research) with cross-sectional approach.The total number of sample were 40 samples and it usedlots sampling technique.The sample size was obtained from the total number of all students in grade 3, 4 and 5 ofthe elementary school. The data of iodine sources consumption and goitrogenic substanceswas obtained through semi-quantitative Form Food Frequency Questionnaire. The iodine content of salt was measured by using iodine test. The examination on Iodine Deficiency Disorderwas measured by palpation conducted by the nutritionist of Undaan Integrated Service Unit in Kudus Regency. The data analysis used Chi-Square test.Household salt contained 57.5%of iodine, 60%was categorized as lack of iodine source consumption, 50%was categorized as above the average of goitrogenic substances consumption in food, and 60% (24 children) suffered from IDD. There was no correlation between the iodine content of household salt and the consumption of goitrogenic substances with IDD incidence in elementary schoolchildren (p=0.747, p=0.105).There was a correlation between the iodine sources consumption in foods and the incidence of IDD in elementary schoolchildren (p=0.00). Based on the results of the research, the author suggests that parents should pay more attention to their children's food consumption, and expects to increase the knowledge about nutritious and healthy food so that they can know and give the right information.

Abstract

Makanan jajanan berkontribusi untuk kecukupan gizi karena mengandung energi dan protein, namun seringkali ditambah sakarin dan siklamat yang dapat berdampak buruk pada kesehatan jika berlebihan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kandungan energi, protein, sakarin, siklamat dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan jajanan oleh siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel adalah 50 siswa dan 14 jenis makanan jajanan yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan energi tertinggi pada es kelapa muda (323 kkal) dan protein tertinggi pada es cendol (3,1 g). Tujuh sampel mengandung sakarin dan 8 sampel mengandung siklamat. Hampir setiap hari kuantitas konsumsi rata-rata energi, protein, sakarin, dan siklamat yaitu 559 kkal; 4,7 g; 5,4 mg/hari; dan 8,3 mg/hari. Rata-rata makanan jajanan menyumbang 26% AKE (Angka Kecukupan Energi), 8% AKP (Angka Kecukupan Protein), dan semua responden mengkonsumsi sakarin dan siklamat kurang dari ADI (Acceptable Daily Intake). Kata kunci: makanan jajanan, zat gizi, sakarin, siklamat, siswa Energy, Protein, Saccharine, Cyclamate Contents and Frequency Consumption of Street Foods By Students MTs Syarif Hidayah Doro Suh-District, Pekalongan, The contribution of Street foods for adequacy of nutrition that contain energy and protein, actually it were often added with saccharine and cyclamate which can effect on health. The puposes of this research was to analyze energy, protein, saccharine, cyclamate contents, and frequency consumption of street foods by students. This research was a descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The sample was 50 students and 14 kinds of street food elected by a purposive method. The results showed that the highest energy was found on the young coconut ice drink (323 kkal) and the highest protein was found on the es cendol (3,1 g). Seven samples contained saccharine and 8 samples contained cyclamate. Average consumption quantity of energy, protein, saccharine, and cyclamate from street foodsvwere 559 kcals; 4,7 g, 5,388 mg/day; and 8,317 mg/day respectively. Average street foods have 26% of Adequacy Rate of Energy, dan 8% of Adequacy Rate of Protein and all of the respondents consumed saccharine and cyclamate less than ADI (Acceptable Daily Intake). Abstract

Student as preadult still requires the fulfillment of nutrients to support the activities during the course. But many students were the nutritional requirements have not been met thus causing a problem of nutrition, such as shortages and excess nutrients, can be prevented by the understanding and practice in accordance with the principles and guidelines for balanced nutrition. This research aims to see the correlation between attitudes grateful for the diversity of food, habit of eating a varied, hygiene lifestyle, physical activity, sufficiency level of energy protein and nutritional status of students. This research used a cross sectional to measure the independent and dependent variables at the same time. The population is all the Nutrition Public Health students Diponegoro University. Samples numbered 36 people using total sampling technique. Analysis of data using statistical test of Rank Spearman with a significance of 5% (0,05). The results showed there were 18 students who have a normal nutritional status, 23 of 36 students agreed to the attitude of grateful for the diversity of food, 18 students have the habit of eating were poor, 18 students have good hygiene life, 18 students have moderate physical activity, 26 students have under RDA of energy, and there were 25 students have upper RDA of protein. This study showed no association of food diversity grateful attitude (p = 0,163; r = -0,237), the habit of eating a variety of foods (p = 0,81;  r = 0,638), a clean lifestyle (p = 0,203; r = 0,235), physical activity (p = 0,992; r = -0,002), and there is a correlation energy sufficiency level (p = 0,005; r = -0,460), protein sufficiency level (p = 0,001; r = -0,549) on the nutritional status of students. Suggestion of this research students need to pay attention to their weight and improve their nutritional status by applying the principles and guidelines for balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Health development in the field of nutrition services is done to  improvemen t of nutrition troughout the life cycle since in the womb until elderly with prone to malnutrition group?s priority.The problem of malnutrition in pregnant woman at this time is the focus of attention, because the problem is very dangerous especially to pregnant woman who have anemia and Chronic Energy Deficiency. Nutritional problems that occur caused by several factors either directly or not. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the relationship between socio-economic variables and nutrient intake with the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency in pregnant women. The form of research ,mis quantitative research that use observational analytic approach Cross sectional with Chronic Energy Deficiency are 27 people and Non-chronic Energy Deficiency are 47 people, so total sample are 74 people. Data were obtained by interview and questionnaire method. Data was analyzed using Chi Square test. The results of this study indicate that the educational variables (0.561> of 0.05), Job (0.272> 0.05), income (0.550> 0.05) and indicate Energy intake ( 0,006 <0,05) , protein intake (0,003 <0,05) and fat intake (0,000 <0,05) The conclusion of this research is that there is no correlation between socio-economic variables (education, occupation, and income) with Chronic Energy Deficiency in pregnant women and in nutritional intake variable (energy, protein, and fat) have correlation with Chronic Energy Deficiency in pregnant women

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: One of the impact of industrial development is the decreasing water quality that may cause pollution of living resources,especially the fish. The objective of this research is to determine the consentration of lead (Pb) Euthynnus sp. and to analize its  chemical safety in the coast  Semarang.  Methods:  This study  is a descriptif research with a cross sectional approach. The 30 samples of Euthynnus   was taken from the markets in Semarang City, including  Jatingaleh, Peterongan, Bulu, Johar, dan Rejomulyo market. Results:  The finding of this research showed that the highest  Lead consentration in Euthynnus Sp was 2,51 ppm and the lowest was  0 ppm  with the average of  0,81 ppm  and the standard deviation was  0,91 ppm.   There was 33,3 % sample which has the concentration of Lead  more than the maximum standard. Conclusion: It was suggested to choose the fresh fish to consumed by considering the site of fish catching. It is also suggested to  the government and  the related institution in semarang City to make a regulation and policy to protect the consumer from the toxic effect of heavy metal in fish.   Key word : Euthynnus sp., heavy metal (Lead),  Coast of Semarang
