Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop literary teaching materials based on the Al Bayani model and test their feasibility in learning short stories in high senior schools. This research uses development through the Borg and Gall model. The procedures in this research are (1) preliminary research, (2) development of teaching materials, and (3) teaching materials or the products. The data sources in field trials were carried out in three schools, SMAS Tamansiswa, SMAN 17 and SMAN 9 Bandarlampung. Data analysis techniques are carried out by transferring quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data was qualitative data to obtain a  data description and conclusions. The results of this research can converted in to  "Al Bayani Model Based Literature Learning Module" was declared appropriate for use by students. The feasibility of the results of the trials average of 94.76% with the following: the answers by the teacher 96.18% and students (93.34%).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar sastra berbasis model Al Bayani dan menguji kelayakannya dalam pembelajaran cerpen di kelas IX SMA. Penelitian ini bersifat pengembangan melalui model Borg and Gall. Prosedur yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) penelitian pendahuluan, (2) pengembangan bahan ajar, dan (3) produk atau hasil bahan ajar. Sumber data pada uji coba lapangan dilakukan di tiga sekolah, yakni SMAS Tamansiswa, SMA Negeri 17, dan SMA Negeri 9 Bandarlampung. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara menggabungkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif dikonversi ke data kualitatif untuk mendapatkan deskripsi data dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Modul Pembelajaran Sastra Berbasis Model Al Bayani” dinyatakan layak digunakan oleh siswa SMA. Kelayakan hasil uji coba, baik uji coba terbatas maupun uji coba luas didapat rerata 94,76% dengan rincian: penilaian oleh guru sebesar 96,18% dan siswa sebesar (93,34%). Kata kunci: pengembangan, modul, Al Bayani.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the attitude and underlying factors is students' language attitudes SMP Negeri 2 Gedongtataan, school year 2012/2013. The research design was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were obtained through a questionnaire Linkert scale and doing observations and interviews. The results showed that a class IX student of SMP Negeri 2 Gedongtataan, school year 2012/2013 have a positive attitude in the Indonesian language. Students have a positive attitudes in using the Indonesian language because of students are accustomed  in using Indonesian  since they were child or before entering kindergarten and students know when and where the use of Indonesia, local language, and foreign language.The reflecting the overall attitude of speaking achievement of the objectives of language teaching. In addition, the results of this study are inputs for improvement process and evaluation in learning Indonesian.Penelitian  ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sikap dan faktor-faktor penyebab sikap berbahasa siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gedongtataan, tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Desain penelitian ini adalah  deskriptif  kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui angket skala Linkert serta melakukan pengamatan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Gedongtataan, tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 memiliki sikap positif  dalam berbahasa Indonesia. Siswa memiliki sikap positif berbahasa Indonesia disebabkan  siswa terbiasa menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sejak kecil atau sebelum masuk taman kanak-kanak dan siswa tahu kapan dan di mana penggunaaan bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, dan bahasa asing. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan cerminan ketercapaian tujuan pengajaran bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini merupakan  bahan  masukan untuk perbaikan proses dan penilaian dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.Kata kunci: faktor pembentukan sikap, implikasi, pembelajaran bahasa, sikap berbahasa

Abstract

The background of this problem is that it very low on the student’ writing ability of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Ambarawa academic year 2012/2013. That low ability could be seen from student’ short-story. The students still made mistakes that could be seen from various views. The technique research was collaboration technique Dyadic Essay (Pairing Essay Writing) to increase ability students’ short-story writing. Teacher must be able to grow students’ creativity, motivate, innovation so learning fun. The learnt materials to experience possessed by students so students are able to comprehend. The research result of collaboration technique Dyadic Essay can increase the ability students’ short-story writing. First cycle gained average score 69,66, second cycle 70,12, third cycle 72,14 with learning accomplishment 70,59%, 73,53%, and 76,47%. So, the ability of students writing short-story in every cycles has increased and successful indicator has been achieved.Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ambarawa tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Kemampuan menulis siswa yang rendah tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil kerja siswa dalam menulis cerpen. Siswa masih melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan yang dapat dilihat dalam berbagai segi. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik kolaborasi tipe Dyadic Essay (Menulis Esai Berpasangan) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menulis cerpen. Teknik tersebut dapat menumbuhkan kreativitas, motivasi, dan inovasi siswa sehingga pembelajaran menyenangkan. Materi disesuaikan dengan pengalaman siswa agar dikuasai lebih mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik kolaborasi tipe Dyadic Essay dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menulis cerpen. Siklus pertama diperoleh nilai rata-rata 69,66; siklus dua70,12; siklus tiga 72,14. Ketuntasan belajar siklus satu 70,59 %; siklus dua 73,53 %; siklus tiga 76,47 %. Dengan demikian, kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan dan indikator keberhasilan telah tercapai.Kata kunci: cerpen, dyadic essay, menulis,.

Abstract

The ability of students of X class in arranging a thought and feeling using words in making a paragraph is still low. The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of writing competence of argumentative through constructivism approach. The method of this research is action research involved 38 students of X2 MAN Kedondong.. It seems that the writing competence of X2 students tend to improve. In pre-cycle action, the average score of writing argumentative text is 51,54. It apparently improves the number of students who reach the writing competence. In the first cycle, there were 25 students (65,79%) who reach the criteria. In second cycle, there were 36 students (94,73%). In the last cycle, the 38 students of X2 (100%) have reached the competence of writing argumentative text.Tingkat kemampuan siswa kelas X dalam menyusun pikiran dan perasaan dalam bentuk paragraf masih rendah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis paragraf argumentasi melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme.Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian tindakan di kelas X2 MAN Kedondong Kabupaten Pesawaran dengan jumlah 38 siswa. Kemampuan menulis paragraf argumentatif setiap siklus cenderung meningkat. Skor rata-rata kemampuan menulis paragraf argumentatif pada pra siklus di kelas X2 adalah 51,54 dengan kategori kurang, Setelah dilakukan tindakan maka tingkat ketuntasan belajar mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 25 siswa atau 65,79%, Siklus II sebanyak 36 siswa atau 94,73% dan siklus III sebanyak 38 siswa atau 100%.Kata kunci: paragraf argumentatif, pendekatan konstruktivisme, penelitian tindakan kelas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine whether the implementation of STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students’ reading comprehension. This research uses a quasi-experimental design. The population and sample in this research is the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Tegineneng Pesa­waran with VIIA as experimental class, while VIIB as control class. The data collecting technique in this research is done by using test consisting of pre-test and post-test. Moreover, the data analysis technique used is t-test technique. The result of this research shows that the study of reading comprehension by using STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving students’ reading comprehension of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Tegineneng Pesa­waran. Based on t-test result of pre-test and post-test in experimental class shows that the price of tcount is higher than ttable (13,174 2,034) which  means that there is significant difference between before and after treatment.Kata kunci: keefektifan model kooperatif tipe STAD, membaca pemahaman, siswa kelas VII.

Abstract

This study is aimed at describing the linguistic phenomena among students at the first year of senior high school in academic year 2013/2014 and the implication toward Indonesian learning. The method is descriptive qualitative. The data collecting technique are observation, interviews, and recordings. Based on data analysis, it was found that there are fourteen linguistic phenomena: (1) afaresis, (2) syncope, (3) apocope, (4) paragoge, (5) the linguistic phenomena of language adaptation, (6) the substitution of prefix, (7) the substitution of simulfix, (8) the substitution of sufix, (9) the removal of phonemes, (10) irregularity, (11) the use of the particle, (12) contraction, (13) acronyms, and (14) abbreviation. The implication in Indonesian learning was using Indonesian appropriately as a tool to get the practical purpose and solve problem in a life and also to do social relationship honestly and politely.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan gejala bahasa siswa kelas X SMA tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik pengamatan, wawancara, dan rekaman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan 14 gejala bahasa, yaitu (1) afaresis, (2) sinkop, (3) apokop, (4) paragog, (5) gejala adaptasi bahasa, (6) subtitusi prefiks, (7) subtitusi simulfiks, (8) subtitusi sufiks, (9) penghilangan fonem, (10) ketidakteraturan, (11) penggunaan partikel, (12) kontraksi, (13) akronim, dan (14) singkatan. Implikasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yaitu menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar sebagai sarana untuk mencapai tujuan praktis dan menyelesaikan berbagai masalah dalam kehidupan.Kata kunci: gejala bahasa, implikasi pembelajaran, siswa.

Abstract

This research will be discussed about how the studying process of news text reading XI grade students. The aim of this research is to describe studying process of news text reading on students. This focused on the planning practicing, evaluating studying of news text reading. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive method. The data source is from news text reading activity. The data collecting technique are observing teacher’s and students’ activity, video recording, interview. And the data analyzing technique use flow models. The analysis includes three activities, data reduction, data presentasion, conclusion. The result of this research are lesson plan of news text reading students based on assessment learning plan instrument, implementation learning of news text reading based implementation process instrument of learning by teacher, students’ activity based on observation instruments. This research uses performance assesment technique as the evaluation.Masalah yang dibahas penelitian ini bagaimanakah proses pembelajaran membaca teks berita siswa kelas XI. Masalah penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran membaca teks berita siswa SMA , difokuskan pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi pembelajaran membaca teks berita. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber penelitian kegiatan pembelajaran membaca teks berita siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi aktivitas siswa, guru, rekaman video, wawancara. Teknik analisis data penelitian analisis data model alir. Analisis mencakup tiga kegiatan, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan-temuan penelitian rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca teks berita siswa kelas XI, berdasarkan Instrumen Penilaian Perencanaan Pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca berita berdasarkan Instrumen Proses Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran oleh guru, aktivitas siswa berdasarkan Instrumen Observasi Aktivitas Siswa. Evaluasi digunakan pembelajaran membaca teks berita yakni teknik penilaian unjuk kerja.Kata kunci: instrumen, pembelajaran, teks berita.

Abstract

The Issues that was discussed in this study was the students' asking speech in the teaching and learning process in the kindergarten and its implication to the language learning in kindergarten. The research design was descriptive qualitative. Source of the data in this research was the students of Al-Karim Kindergarten School. Data collecting technique that was used in this research was field note technique. The result showed that asking speech was done in two ways: directly and indirectly. Direct asking speech was used to express asking speech act. Indirect asking speech consisted of, asking speech act as the expression of informing, instructing, asking, begging and refusing speech act. The result of the research implicated to the language learning in Al-Karim Kindergarten school that was as the reference for the teacher to use asking speech in the teaching and learning process.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan bertanya siswa pada kegiatan belajar mengajar di TK dan implikasinya pada pembelajaran bahasa di TK. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini siswa/siswi TK Al–Karim School. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik pengamatan dan teknik catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tuturan bertanya dilakukan dengan dua cara, yakni bertanya langsung dan bertanya tidak langsung. Tuturan bertanya langsung digunakan untuk mengekspresikan tindak tutur bertanya. Tuturan bertanya tidak langsung terdiri atas, tuturan bertanya sebagai ekspresi tindak tutur memberitahukan, memerintah, meminta, memohon, menolak. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pembelajaran bahasa di TK Al Karim School yang berupa referensi bagi guru untuk menggunakan tuturan bertanya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.Kata kunci: direktif, konteks, tindak tutur, tuturan.

Abstract

The Problem in this research was the abilyty to write a description of the high school students of class X Bangun Rejo Pelita High Scholl Central Lampung Academic Year 2010/2011. This study aims to describe about the students skills in writing essays description.The method used in this reseach is a method of description. The population in this study were high school students of class X Pelita High School of Bangun Rejo Central Lampung Academic Year 2010/2011, amounting to 153 students spread over 4 classes. Samples were taken 15% of each class, so that the sample amounted to 23 students drawn randomly. The data is taken through a written test. Test such as essay writing task description with the experience they have.The results showed that mean score of the overall results of essay writing skills test descriptions Pelita high school students class X Bangun Rejo Central Lampung Academic Year 2010/2011 is 63,5% classified enough. The average capacity of each aspect are (1) the background of the title selection category excellent93,4%, (2) the accuracy of the posts with 60% categorized enough title, (3) similarity of the writing object category less 47,74%, (4) creating the impression readers categorized less 57,39%, (5) uncategorized outline less 58,28%, (6) a description of the facts in the sentence category enough 71,30%, (7) development of a sentence to paragraph 40,87% less uncategorized, (8) the preparation of a compotions paragraph description of 78,26% categorizedgood, (9) 44,35% effective sentence categorized less, (10) 77,39% categoryzed vocabulary good, (11) 70,43% categorized spelling enough, (12) the use of punctuation 69,57% categorized enough. From the results of the study can also be seen that the background for the selection of titles aspects are at the highest percentage is 93,4% and in the category of very good.Based on these results it can be concluded that the ability to write a description of the high scholl students of class X Pelita Bangun Rejo Central Lampung Academic Year 2010/2011 clasified as category enoughwith 63,5% and the percentage of outages drift interval 60%-74%.Keywords:Ability to Write, EssayDescription, Grade Student X.

Abstract

The research problem is how the teaching media is utilized in the learning of composing the expository text at the VII grade SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu. The aim of this research is to describe the teaching media utilized in the learning of composing the expository text at the VII grade of SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu. This research uses qualitative descriptive as the methodology of the research, in collecting the data is using of reduction data, showing data, and verification. The result of this research shows that in the teaching composing the exposition text, teacher utilizes audio visual media and media from book by applying scientific approach through monitoring, asking, understanding, trying and communicating.Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah pemanfaatan media dalam pembelajaran menyusun teks eskposisi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan media dalam menyusun teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan perekaman.Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam membelajarkan menyusun teks eksposisi, guru memanfaatkan media audio visual dan media cetak dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik melalui kegiatan mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan.Kata kunci: media, pendekatan, teks eksposisi.
