Abstract

Pada getaran mekanis dengan intensitas sampai dengan 4m/det2 (maksimal getaran yang dianjurkan) mata masih dapat mengikuti getaran antara kepala dan sasaran, sedangkan untuk intensitas selanjutnya mata tidak dapat lagi mengikutinya. Getaran yang melebihi nilai ambang batas dapat menyebabkan kelelahan mata ditandai dengan gejala penurunan ketajaman mata, penglihatan rangkap atau kabur, sakit atau pegal di sekitar mata dan terjadinya kesalahan atau bahkan kecelakaan kerja. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah pengaruh getaran benang lusi pada mesin loom terhadap kelelahan mata operator bagian loom weaving. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh getaran benang lusi pada mesin loom terhadap kelelahan mata operator bagian loom weaving. Metode penelitian ini bersifat explanatory dengan menggunakan pendekatan belah lintang, dimana sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposif sebanyak 13 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meningkatnya intensitas getaran 1 m/det2 akan diikuti dengan meningkatnya kelelahan mata responden sebesar 13.415 milidetik. Simpulan penelitian adalah ada pengaruh getaran benang lusi pada mesin loom terhadap kelelahan mata.On the mechanical vibrations with the intensities up to 4m/s2 (recommended maximum vibration), the eye can still follow the vibrations between the head and the target, while for the intensity of subsequent eye can no longer follow it. Vibrations exceeding the threshold value cause eye fatigue those are characterized by several symptoms, decrease the sharpness of the eyes, double or blurred vision, pain or soreness around the eyes and the occurrence of mistakes or accidents. Problem of this research was how the effect of the lusi yarn vibration on the loom machine to eyestrain of weaving loom operator. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the lusi yarn vibration on the loom machine cause eyestrain of weaving loom operator. Method of this research was explanatory using cross-sectional approach, where samples were selected by purposive sampling technique with the results as many as 13 peoples. The results showed increased intensity of 1 m/s2 vibration will be followed by increased eye fatigue respondents was 13 415 milliseconds. Conclusion of research was no effect on engine vibration warp loom against eye fatigue.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas pencahayaan lokal terhadap kelelahan mata operator bagian loom weaving V denim perusahaan tekstil di Semarang. Metode penelitian ini bersifat penjelasan de-ngan menggunakan pendekatan belah lintang. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah intensitas pencahayaan lokal dan kelelahan mata. Populasi berjumlah 33 yang bekerja sebagai operator mesin loom weaving V denim. Sampel dipilih de-ngan teknik purposif berdasarkan kriteria inklusi sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 13 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh antara intensitas pencahayaan terhadap kelelahan mata yaitu meningkatnya intensitas pencahayaan 1 lux akan diikuti dengan menurunnya kelelahan mata responden sebesar 1.782 milidetik. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of local illumination intensity with the operator eyestrain, in loom weaving V denim of textile company in Semarang. The method of this research was explanatory research using cross sectional approach. The variable in this study was the intensity of local lighting and eyestrain. Population are 33 operators who worked as machine operators of weaving looms V denim. The samples were selected by purposive sampling technique based on inclusion criteria as many as 13 peoples. The results show influence between the intensity of illumination with the eyestrain that is the increasing intensity of illumination 1 lux will be followed by a decrease eyestrain respondents for 1782 milliseconds.Keywords: Local lighting; Eyestrain

Abstract

Dukuh Deliksari RW 6, Sukorejo, Gunungpati, Semarang City has landslide susceptiblecharacteristic. CBDP (Community Based Disaster Preparadness) is one of community based method toreduce disaster risk. Community involvement is a must to reduce vulnerabilities and to increasecommunity capacities on facing disaster risk. CBDP processes include selecting the community, rapportbuilding and understanding the community, participatory disaster risk assessment (PDRA),participatory disaster risk management planning, building and training a community disaster riskmanagement organization (CDRMO), community-managed implementation, and participatorymonitoring and evaluation. Informal meeting, focus group discussion (FGD) and participatory ruralappraisal (PRA) methods were chosen as this program approach.. As the result from CBDP processimplementation, an analysis of vulnerabilities and capacities are drawn. Some vulnerabilities arelandslide prone neighbourhood, inadequate water supply, lack of sanitation and low degree ofeducation. Community capacities include number of productive age 64.8%, high motivation to involvein teamwork, and there are some social group (religious and social group). There is need to furtherstudy to get comprehensive environment risk mapping and community planning management.Dukuh Deliksari RW 6, Sukorejo, Gunungpati Kota Semarang memiliki karakteristik daerahrawan longsor. Kegiatan Pengurangan Risiko Bencana Berbasis Komunitas (PRBBK) dengan metodeCBDP (Community Based Disaster Preparadness) merupakan metode alternatif mengelola resikobencana secara mandiri. Untuk mengurangi kerawanan dan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas komunitasdalam menghadapi risiko bencana diperlukan pelibatan komunitas. Proses CBDP (Community BasedDisaster Preparadness) mengikuti proses sebagai berikut: memilih komunitas, membangunkepercayaan, penilaian risiko bencana, manajemen perencanaan, membangun organisasi, implementasi,monitoring evaluasi. Instrumen yang dipilih yaitu pertemuan informal, diskusi group terfokus (FGD)dan PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal). Dari hasil penerapan CBDP, didapatkan hasil kerawananmasyarakat yang utama meliputi kondisi lingkungan yang rawan longsor, fasilitas air bersih dan saluranpembuangan yang kurang, dan tingkat pendidikan yang rendah. Kapasitas masyarakat meliputi jumlahkelompok usia produktif sebesar 64,8%, motivasi bergotong-royong yang tinggi dan adanya kelompokkelompok(arisan/ pengajian) penggerak. Dibutuhkan kajian lebih lanjut untuk melakukan pemetaandan pembuatan rencana aksi komunitas (RAK).Kata kunci: Community Based Disaster Preparadness, Deliksari, kapasitas, kerentanan

Abstract

ABSTRAK CSB menemukan rata-rata sekitar 10 insiden dust explosion terjadi per tahun pada rentang waktu 25 tahun. Satu dekade terakhir, hampir setiap tahun di dunia terjadi kasus metal dust explosion. PT X adalah perusahaan baja yang pernah mengalami ledakan pada tahun 2004 dan 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi potensi bahaya metal dust explosion menggunakan metode fault tree analysis di PT X. Jenis metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) level 1. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar proses produksi dan lembar tabel identifikasi awal FTA dengan validasi desain menggunakan penilaian dari ahli. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat 77 penyebab dasar terjadinya metal dust explosion dengan penyebab terbanyak adalah kurangnya biaya dan kurangnya informasi masing-masing sebesar 6,5%. Kombinasi kesalahan untuk menyebabkan metal dust explosion terdapat 75 single minimal cut set yang didominasi desain fasilitas dan 3 double minimal cut set terbanyak adalah kombinasi dengan desain fasilitas.   ABSTRACT CSB found that there were about 10 incidents of dust explosion happened per year within 25 years. For the last decade, metal dust explosion case almost happened every year in the world. PT X is a steel manufacture which had explosion cases that happened in 2004 and 2017. This research aims to identify and evaluate metal dust explosion hazard potential using fault tree analysis method at PT X. This research is Research and Development (R&D) level 1. Instruments that were used in this research are production process sheet and table of identification sheet with the expert as design evaluator. Result shows that there are 77 dust explosion basic causes which mostly caused by lack of fund and lack of information with percentage of 6,5% for each. There are 75 single minimal cut sets which are dominated by facility design and 3 double minimal cut sets with mostly is a combination of facility design as failure combinations that can lead to metal dust explosion.

Abstract

Balita adalah anak bangsa yang  merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang harus disiapkan baik dari segi pengetahuan, keterampilan maupun kesehatan. Pada Indikator “Indonesia Sehat 2010” yang menginginkan mencapai darajat kesehatan yang salah satu indikatornya adalah morbiditas. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi tingkat morbiditas adalah dengan imunisasi dasar pada Balita, sehingga pemberian pengetahuan mengenai imunisasi dasar sangat penting untuk diberikan khususnya bagi kader Posyandu dan ibu-ibu yang memiliki Balita. Seluruh peserta yang hadir pada penyuluhan terlihat sangat antusias yang secara aktif mengikuti kegiatan. Dari hasil pre test dan post test dapat diketahui adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu-ibu dan kader-kader kesehatan, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan nilai pada hasil post test sebanyak 100 % dari total peserta hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui peningkatan pengetahuan  ibu tentang imunisasi  dasar Balita di Desa Peron Kecamatan Limbangan Kabupaten Kendal ini dapat memberikan kontribusi yang positif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pengenalan imunisasi, jenis-jenis imunisasi, kapan pemberian imunisasi dasar, kegunaan imunisasi, penyakit yang bisa dicegah dengan imunisasi, dan efek samping imunisasi. Abstract

Adolescent fertility is an important health and social problem because it is related to the level of morbidity and mortality of mothers and children. The results of the 2017 IDHS show that 7% of women aged 15-19 are already mothers, 5% have given birth, and 2% are pregnant with their first child. The data shows that adolescents are already sexually active, but still have an understanding of low reproductive health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of community-based health communication models that developed to improve access to information and public knowledge related to contraceptive methods in young married couples in Rembang Regency in 2019. This research  used Research and Development design with a quasi-experimental data collection method. The population in this study were adolescents who married at a young age in Rembang District, while the sample was adolescents who married young in Sedan and Kragan villages (intervention group), Menoro and Ngasinan (control group). Quantitative data analysis uses univariate, bivariate, and multivariate, while for qualitative data use grounded theory. The effectiveness test showed significant data for knowledge (p = 0,000), attitudes (p = 0.003), access to information (0.012), preferences (p = 0.001), and access to contraception (p = 0,000). It can be concluded that the community-based health communication model can improve knowledge, attitudes, access to information, preferences, and access related to contraception in early married couples

Abstract

Gangguan pendengaran akibat bising (GPAB) merupakan gangguan berupa penurunan fungsi indera pendengaran akibat terpapar oleh bising dengan intensitas kebisingan yang berlebih secara terus menerus dalam waktu lama. Penelitian ini membahas tentang faktor yang berhubungan dengan GPAB di PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan case control. Jumlah sampelnya adalah 110 terdiri dari 55 kasus dan 55 kontrol diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan faktor yang berhubungan dengan GPAB adalah intensitas kebisingan (p=0,034, OR=2,779), lama kerja (p=0,022, OR=2,625), masa kerja (p=0,022, OR=3,656) dan umur (p=0,036, OR=2,429). Variabel yang tidak berhubungan adalah penggunaan alat pelindung telinga (p=0,775). Simpulan dari penelitian adalah ada hubungan antara intensitas kebisingan, lama kerja, masa kerja dan umur dengan GPAB. Tidak ada hubungan antara penggunaan alat pelindung telinga dengan GPAB. Noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a disorder in the form of decreased function of the sense of hearing as a result of exposure to noise with excessive noise intensity continuously for a long time. This study discusses the factors related to NIHL at PT. Indonesia Power UBP Semarang. This type of research is analytic observational with case control approach. The sample size is 110 consisting of 55 cases and 55 controls taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed factors associated with NIHL is intensity of noise (p = 0.034, OR = 2.779), lenght of work (p = 0.022, OR = 2.625), period of work (p = 0.022, OR = 3.656) and age (p = 0.036 , OR = 2.429). Variables that are not related is the use of ear protection (p = 0.775). The conclusion from this study is there is a relationship between the intensity of noise, length of work and age woth NIHL. There is no relationship between the use of ear protection with NIHL. Keywords: Hearing disorder, Noise, Risk Factor

Abstract

Railways is everything related to facility, infrastructure, human resource and train supporting facility for the operation of railway transport. The production of passenger trains during the years 2010-2014 in the Java island has increased by 8.29% annually. The railway accidents frequency are inluenced by: human factors, infrastructure factors, facility factors, operational factors, and external factors. This research aims to know the description of the aspects of railwaysafety application at PT. KAI (Persero) DAOP IV Semarang. This was evaluative research.The result showed that of the 253 points of the aspects of railways safety, as much as 235 (93%) points were accordance to standard, 13 (5%) points were not accordance tostandard, and 5(2%) did not conform to standard.The recommendation are fulillments of the safety railway aspects such as: increase the crossing-guard offifcer who have a competency certiicate, provide training and education for certiication of compentence for pcrossing-guard oicer that have not been certiied, facilitating the station with ire protection system, awarding and recoloring of secure border from railways on the station platform, and marking the installation of portable ire extinguisher.Keywods : railway, safety

Abstract

Primary school children are included in the vulnerable group because they are still in a growth and development phase. In Indonesia, many accidents involve children due to their lack of knowledge, excessive energy, and high curiosity. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the application of safety values in formal education material, in order to evaluate how adequate the current teaching materials in encouraging children to practice safety culture.Petompon 2, one of the primary school used in this study, showed that 60% subjects in grade 1 contain application of safety values, and subjects from grade 2 to 6 showed that 14.3%, 90%, 100%, 87.5%, and 50% subjects, consecutively, already contain safety education.The solutions offered are improving teacher’s capacity in learning process and integrating the safety values into education subjects, such as: in sport education, natural science, social science, citizenship education, Islamic religion, mathematics, and Indonesian language. Other methods available are integrating safety values into extracurricular activities and introducing educative game on safety values to primary school students.

Abstract

Secara global dari 142 kematian akibat kecelakaan kerja, penyebab utamanya adalah jatuh dari ketinggian sebesar 45% (ILO, 2015). Menurut Kemenaker (2014), kecelakaan yang dialami pekerja konstruksi yaitu 31,9% dan 26% dari total kecelakaan karena jatuh dari ketinggian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui penerapan risk management pada pekerjaan di ketinggian berdasar SNI ISO 31000 di PT. Adhi Karya. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah informan 5 orang. Teknik pengambilan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada variabel kerangka kerja manajemen risiko yaitu dari 49 komponen yang dibahas, sebanyak 45 komponen (91,8%) telah diterapkan dan 4 komponen (8,2%) belum di terapkan oleh PT. Adhi Karya. Pada variabel proses manajemen risiko dari 41 komponen yang dibahas, sebanyak 100% telah diterapkan. Berdasarkan penilaian risiko pada pekerjaan di ketinggian terdapat 17 potensi bahaya jatuh dari ketinggian. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu PT. Adhi Karya belum sepenuhnya menerapkan komponen manajemen risiko pekerjaan di ketinggian sesuai SNI ISO 31000 serta masih terdapat ketidaksesuaian dalam upaya pengendalian prosedur kerja, teknik bekerja aman, alat pelindung diri, perangkat pelindung jatuh dan tenaga kerja. The data source selected using purposive sampling technique with a number of informants 5 people. Data collection techniques such as interviews, observation and documentation.The results showed that variable risk management framework that consist of 49 components, there are 45 components (91.8%) that have been applied and the 4 components (8.2%) have not been applied by PT. Adhi Karya. Meanwhile for variable risk management processed that consist of 41 components (100%) have been applied. Based on the risk assessment there are 17 danger potential of falling from height. The conclusions is PT. Adhi Karya has not fully implemented the risk management component of the working at elevation according SNI ISO 31000 and still there is not compatibility in controlling work procedures, safe working techniques, personal protective equipment, falls protective device, and labor.
