Abstract

Abstract Business Diversification of Farmregions in the Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Regional Irrigation Mambal Diversification of farming is one of the main programs of agricultural development . Program development of diversification of farming in paddy fields is one of the strategies in an effort to stabilize farm income , expansion of employment opportunities and poverty reduction  (Pakpahan , 1990) . Seeing the importance of diversification for the stability of farmers 'income , it is interesting to study how to diversify farming in Mambal Irrigation Area, ( the upstream, midstream and downstream ) and their effects on farmers' income. The specific purpose of this study was to determine the level of farm diversification in the upstream, midstream , and downstream in the flow of irrigation Mambal farm diversification and determine the effect on the income of farmers in the upstream, midstream , and downstream in the flow of irrigation Mambal . The location determination is done intentionally ( purposive ) . The population in this study are all farmers who diversify his farming business .. population is three Subak is Ayung Buduk , Sembung , and Canggu . Then a total of 30 farmers selected proportionally according to the third area of the water control system , so it can be said to represent the entire population, which in this study serve as a peasant family research unit . Analysis of the data used in this research is the analysis of qualitative data is used to determine the field conditions and constraints encountered , as well as farmers' perceptions of diversification and quantitative analysis is used to determine the level of diversification and income . Results from this study was the influence of diversification of the income of farmers in the research area , as well as the absence of barriers in the irrigation water.

Abstract

Marketing Channel for Cayenne Pepper in Puger Sub-District Jember Regency East Java Province The difference in the cayenne pepper marketing channels in Puger Sub-District, JemberRegency has an impact on the price for producers and consumers. The selling price ofcayenne pepper at the farm level during the harvest season in July-September 2017continues to decline and the bargaining position of farmers was considered weak. Thepurpose of this study was to find out the marketing institutions and channels, marketingfunctions, marketing efficiency (EP), and the ratio of the cost of cayenne pepper inPuger Sub-District. The data used were qualitative and quantitative data. The analysisused is descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The respondents of this studywere 51 farmers (Mojosari, Grenden, and Jambearum Villages) which were determinedby the proportional random sampling method and 15 marketing institution respondentsdetermined by the snowball sampling method.The respondents of the marketinginstitutions consisted of one middleman, four sub-district level collecting traders, threeinter-city traders, and seven retailers. There are three marketing channels namely, (1)farmers- collecting traders - retailers (Balung, Grenden, and Pasar Tanjung markets) -consumers, (2) farmers - collecting traders - inter-city traders (Jakarta) - markets inJakarta, (3) farmers - middleman - collecting traders - inter-city traders (Jakarta) -markets in Jakarta. Every marketing institution performs marketing functions, namelyexchange functions, physical functions, and facility functions. The functions performedby each institution are different. All marketing channels in this study are efficient. Themost efficient marketing institution in the marketing channel I is the collecting traders,onmarketing channels II, namely inter-city traders, and on marketing channelsIII, namely inter-city traders with the same values as in marketing channels II. Eachchannel has a collecting trader. When it was compared, the collecting traders at channelI was the most efficient institution.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Subak Role in Agricultural Activities Rice Rice Fields Subak as an organization that regulates the distribution of water in the rice is one of Bali's cultural heritage that has been recognized worldwide. Where existence is in dangered due to start behavioral changes manners subak.The purpose of this study was to determine the role of subak in rice farming activity seen from the five subak role. The approach taken in this study with descriptive qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews about the problems facing subak seen from the five subak role in rice farming activities. The results showed the role of subak in rice farming activities begin reduced. If this is going to endanger the continued existence of subak. There fore, it needs to be more participation of farmers to assist in ferforming subak rice farming activities. Subak role in the distribution and operation of Dalem Subak irrigation water, there is a problem due to lack of attention to soil conditions that cause distriubusi Dalem Subak irrigation water is not adequate for the needs of area farmers' fields.Subak role in the operation and maintenance of irrigation networks, the results of in-depth interviews with key informants. Abstract

Business Financial Analysis on Piggery (A Case Study of Piggery of UD Karang at Jagapati Village, Sub-District of Abiansemal, Badung)Pigs is one commodity of livestock meat producer. Pigs have qualities and abilitiesthat benefit namelyit hasfaster growth rate and also a higher number of piglets perbirth. Pork demand has improved in the area of Bali that can provide businessopportunities to UD Karang to develop a piggery by raising pigs to be fattening.Piggery business needs to do a financial analysis to determine the success of itsbusiness. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of a piggery interms of financial aspects and the obstacles being faced. This research was conductedon a piggery of UD. Karang located in the village of Jagapati, AbiansemalSubdistrict of Badung Regency. The analytical methods used were quantitative andqualitative methods. The study results and the conclusions showed that the piggery ofUD Karang is financially feasible with NPV value of Rp 452, 693. 850, thenet valueof B/C of 1.3 and the IRR of 74.62%. The obstacles faced by the piggery of UDKarang namely respiratory disease in swine livestock, price fluctuations, andenvironmental pollution. Suggestions given to UD Karang that it should work withthe Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, add good quality feed soas to meet the nutritional needs of the animals, and the pig manure should befermentedto be utilized as biogas.

Abstract

Abstract Noble values ??contained in Subak finally set to make UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage in need of protection. The challenge is not only coming from the onslaught of tourism alone but the biggest challenge comes from farmers themselves, namely the lack of interest of young generation to carry on the profession as a farmer. This led to concerns about the sustainability and preservation of the water control system. Subak as one of the world's cultural heritage contained in Sub Sukawati Gianyar regency which Subak Kulub Atas, Subak Kulub Bawah, and Subak Pulagan. Very important for the socialization of Subak as a world heritage, especially on the definition and management to the surrounding communities and the general location of the high school students in the District Sukawati Gianyar regency. Service activities that have been conducted in SMU 1 Sukawati, these students showed enthusiasm in listening to the material that we provide. After counseling, community service our team provides time for students to discuss around the water control system and world heritage, and there are many students who are interested and ask questions about how to preserve Subak and what they should do as the younger generation. As their young people are less interested in working in the agricultural sector, but they have the desire to preserve subak. Keywords: subak, world cultural heritage, agricultural

Abstract

Financial Performance Analysis of Yoga Barista Agrotourism in SingapaduVillage, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency Agrotourism is one type of agribusiness business. All types of businesses need tomake financial reports. Yoga Barista Agrotourism is located in Singapadu Village,Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. This research discusses the financialperformance of Yoga Barista Agrotourism using financial ratio analysis anddiscriminant analysis (Z-score), as well as the constraints faced during the five yearsperiod from 2012 until 2016. The constraints faced by Yoga Barista Agrotourism werediscussed descriptive-qualitatively which included internal and external constraints. Theresults of this research were that the ratio analysis showed during the year 2012 until theyear 2016, Yoga Barista Agrotourism has a good financial performance. Atlman Zscoremodel analysis showed that in 2012 the Yoga Barista Agrotourism was categorizedinto a gray area and 2013 until 2016 was categorized into healthy category.Constraintsfaced in running the Yoga Barista Agrotourism were internal constraints such asconstraints of working hours and services and external constraints such as civet coffeeproduct supply, land conversion and tourist visit season. Yoga Barista Agrotourism couldimprove financial performance and business health by improving management andimproving business performance.

Abstract

Income and Production Risk of Pacar Air (Impatiens balsamina Linn) Farm in Rainy and Dry Season in Saradan Subak, Sibang Gede Village, Abiansemal, Badung RegencyFlower use rate in Bali equals to farmer?s interest to produce flowers. Thisphenomenon becomes the reason for Subak Saradan?s farmer trying changing thehalf of their field in rainy and dry season to plant impatiens flower in order to fulfilthe needs of market of their products.The aims of this research is to know which season are best to plant impatiensflowerobserved from the differences in income and risk in rainy and dry season. Variablesin this research are farming analysis and Subak Saradan?s risk level. These variablesare analysed using quantitative method.The result of this research shows that impatiens flower farming in dry season isbetter than in the rainy season. The income of the farmers in this season is Rp532,287,522. More than total income in rainy season that isRp 388,338,689. Indicator that is used to measure the risk level in rainy and dryseason in this research is variation coefficient with each values are 0.57 and 0.50.The value of the coefficient in rainy season is higher than the dry season. Hence, therisk of failing is higher in this season.This research also projecting the income of the farmers that are burdened withproduction risk level in the planting season. The average value of respondent?sincome based on their land size and risk of the seasons areRp 1,574,044.33 and Rp 3,601,044.01. In some condition with the highest risk, couldmake 20,9 % respondents in rainy season and 14,5 % respondents in dry season maysuffer loss.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Analysis of Employee Satisfaction on UD. Padma Sari The objective to be attained from this research is to find out the level of work satisfaction of employees of UD. Padma Sari working for more than three years and less than three years. The determination of the location is conducted by using purposive method, namely, a method which is intentionally conducted based on several considerations. The data analisis method applied is descriptive analysis method by using questionnaires measured with Likert Scale. Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that satisfaction level of employees working for UD. Padma Sari is included in the category of Satisfied Enough for employees working for less than three years and more than three years, with achievement score of 64.35% for employees  working for more than three years and employees working for less than three years obtain the achievement score of 62.63%. Abstract

Effect of Consumer Satisfaction on Brand Image of Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee (A Study in the Village Community of Landih, Bangli District, Bangli Regency) This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of consumer satisfaction on a brand image and the magnitude of the effect of customer satisfaction on the strength of brand associations, the uniqueness of brand associations, and the superiority of brand associations on Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee in the Landih Village, Bangli District, Bangli Regency. The analytical method used was quantitative-descriptive analysis. Data collection was done by observation,interview, and documentation. Selection of key informants and number of sample determination were done by purposive method. The sample used in this studyamounted to 50 samples. The variables in this study were the effect of consumer satisfaction on the brand image of Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee with theindicators used were customer values, customer responses, and customer perception using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis ofthe equation model formed was Y = 0,149 + 0,919X indicating the value of customer satisfaction on the Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee gave a positiveimpression so that placing a strong brand image and brand image of Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee would always be remembered, and ultimately consumeropportunities for repurchase the Cap Bunga Flamboyant Coffee brand became very large, which was followed by the strength of the increasingly strong brandassociation with a value of +0,875, the uniqueness of the brand association which was getting higher with a value of +0,921, and the superiority of the brandassociation which was getting better with the value of +0,952 assuming ceteris paribus or other factors that affect the brand image of Cap Bunga FlamboyantCoffee to remain constant.

Abstract

Abstract Paddy is a crop that produce rice and it is staple for most of Indoensian. Drying is important  post-harvest handling for  paddy. Husk can be done into two ways that are mhacinery drying and sun drying. This study aims to find out how is business technique of process of hulling rice by using unshusked rice dryer with fuel of husk and how is feasibility viewed from other investment criteria. This study was conducted at UD Sari Uma Bali that it is a company have business on rice mill used machinery husk fuel dryer. The result showed that  process of hulling rice by using husk fuel dryer is technically feasible and it is able to be operated during rainy day. Financially this business is feasible conducted with result of Payback period 4,23 year, Net Preset Value  have positive value of Rp 1.360.930.972,00 bigger than zero, and Internal rate of Return (IRR) bigger than real rate of interest at market 30,03% per year, Benefit Cost Ratio of 2,32 (bigger than one). Thus business of process of hulling rice by using husk fuel dryer  by UD Sari Uma Bali is feasible. From the result of sensitivity analysis has been conducted show that usage of paddy drying machine have fuel of husk is benefit business and reliable and have fulfilff criteria of investment though experience increasing of production cost..
