Abstract

Linear regression models is used to describe relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. In a survey research, data was used often have hierarchical structure or nested structure. In this research, independent variables can be defined at any level of the hierarchy but dependent variable can only be defined at the lowest level of the hierarchy. Multilevel regression models is one of the methods can be used to analyze this data. Some authors purpose many models can be used to analyze data with hierarchical structures. Deviance as -2 log likelihood was defined as the measure goodness of fit. The difference of the deviance for two nested models was a method for comparing that two models.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the company's intellectual capital in the financial sector. The financial sector companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) 2010-2014 was used as the sample. The sample selection using purposive sampling method. The data used in this study were secondary data from company annual report obtained from the official website of Indonesia Stock Exchange. Measurement of intellectual capital in this study using a model of Value Added Intellectual Coefficients (VAIC) and measurement of financial performance using ratio analysis with ROA as profitability variable, ATO as productivity variable, and GR as variable growth. The results showed that the overall financial performance of the financial sector in the period of observation were top performers and common performers. Based on the value of company?s intellectual capital, the intellectual capital components contributed most was human capital. Abstract

Department of Statistics, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) many top producing graduates that are spread throughout the field work. One indicator of success is the contribution of graduates of higher education in society and the development and engagement of alumni in the dynamics of the workplace. Alumni tracking studies can provide information about the profile of graduates of the Department of Statistics 36-45 IPB particular class (year in 1999-2008). Alumni are expected to provide information on the relevance of knowledge and skills (relationship between competencies acquired during the lectures with field work), the relationship between grade point average (GPA) of the waiting time work, field work of alumni present, the extent to which the use/ knowledge of statistics to the field of work. Adequacy analysis, interests, and purposes related to competencies Department of Statistics. Respondents who responded to this study of 204 respondents (40.8%) of the total population of 500 respondents. Area of origin of respondents were mostly from the Greater Jakarta area by 43.1%, driveways Admission Exam IPB (USMI) as much as 76%, as many as 20.1% of respondents have a High GPA (GPA > 3.51), cum laude by 5%. The average wait for a job for 2 months with an average salary of first job after being transformed to the present value of Rp 3,370,000.00. There is a tendency of working first salary differences between respondents who have a High GPA with a low GPA. Respondents gender pay gap also has a tendency of work the first time, respondents have a tendency of female sex work first salary higher than the respondents? gender male. Predicate graduation also has the distinction of first salary job, graduation cum laude predicate has a higher salary than the predicate is very satisfying and fulfilling graduation. Field work consisted of alumi academia, finance, administration, research, and advertising. As many as 40% of alumni working in the field of research. Alumni statistics also been doing moving work, 63.3% among respondents had changed jobs done. Statistics have a role in the world of work, amounting to 38.6% pretty much using statistical science in the workplace. Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengujian nondestruktif metode near infrared (NIR) spektroskopi di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik spektra NIR spektroskopi (panjang gelombang 700 nm ? 2500 nm) kayu Acacia mangium dari 3 umur yaitu 5, 6, dan, 7 tahun. Kayu mangium diperoleh dari daerah Maribaya, Parung Panjang, Bogor. Sampel contoh uji spektra terdiri dari bentuk solid atau padatan dan bentuk serbuk kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan spektra absorban NIR sampel padatan kayu lebih tinggi dibandingkan bentuk sampel serbuk. Umur pohon untuk jenis kayu yang sama tidak memberikan informasi perbedaan pola spektra absorbansi NIR yang nyata untuk setiap lokasi panjang gelombangnya. Penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk menentukan model pendugaan sifat kimia, fisis dan mekanis kayu menggunakan analisis statistik metode analisis multivariasi.Kata kunci: NIR spektroskopi, Acacia mangium, kayu solid, serbuk kayu  Characteristics of Absorbency Spectra of NIR (Near Infra Red) Spectroscopy of Acacia mangium Willd Wood from Three Different AgeAbstractResearch on non-destructive test of near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy method was still limited in Indonesia. The aim of this study was to determine near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy (wavelength range within 780 nm -2500 nm) characteristic of wood species of Acacia mangium. The samples were selected from three different ages e.g. 5 year, 6 years, and 7 years grown in Maribaya area of Parung Panjang Distric. The NIR testing samples used were solid wood and ground wood. This study resulted that there was visually no significant difference of absorbance spectra NIR patterns based on wood ages. NIR absorbance spectra had same trend for both solid and ground wood samples in a range of wavelength, although those were in different values. The NIR absorbance spectra values of solid wood samples seemed higher than ground wood samples. Further research is needed to develop predicting model of NIR spectroscopy to determine wood properties of chemical, physical and mechanical properties using multivariate analysis method.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas perbandingan analisis konjoin metode full profile dan metode CBC.  Metode full profile merupakan metode yang klasik dan cukup mudah diterapkan terutama dalam pembuatan disain pengumpulan dan analisis data, tetapi cukup merepotkan dalam tahap pengumpulan data.  Sedangkan Metode CBC, walaupun agak sulit dalam disain  pengumpulan dan analisis datanya tetapi pada saat pengumpulan datanya relatif lebih mudah dan dipandang lebih alamiah. Penerapan kedua metode ini dalam menelaah faktor yang paling dipertimbangkan oleh mahasiswa dalam memilih pekerjaan memberikan hasil yang relatif sama.  Faktor utama yang berpengaruh terhadap pilihan pekerjaan mahasiswa adalah besarnya gaji pertama dan kesesuaian bidang pekerjaan dengan latar belakang pendidikannya.

Abstract

Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) Presiden dan Wakil Presiden 5 Juli 2004 secara langsung  memberikan kesempatan masyarakat untuk dapat memilih calon presiden sesuai dengan harapannya. Harapan masyarakat tersebut dapat dilihat melalui pandangan masyarakat tentang kriteria apa saja yang penting dimiliki oleh seorang calon presiden dan apakah kriteria tersebut ada pada diri calon presiden itu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kriteria yang paling penting dimiliki oleh seorang calon presiden adalah mampu mengatasi krisis ekonomi. Persepsi masyarakat Bogor secara umum menilai bahwa calon presiden Amien Rais merupakan tokoh yang  tidak terlibat pelanggaran HAM, tidak terlibat Orde Baru, dan mampu menggalang hubungan internasional.   Sedangkan calon presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono dinilai  mampu mengatasi krisis ekonomi, memiliki visi, misi dan program kerja yang jelas serta  memiliki intelektual yang tinggi.  Pendukung calon presiden Hamzah Haz paling tidak konsiten pada jawaban mereka mengenai kriteria-kriteria calon presiden, kemudian diikuti oleh pendukung Megawati dan Wiranto.  Sedangkan pendukung calon presiden Amien Rais merupakan pendukung yang paling konsisten, kemudian diikuti oleh pendukung Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Abstract

Herding  Behavior  is  an  irrational  investor  behavior, because  investors  do  not make investment decisions based on economic fundamentals of  risky assets, but based  on  others  investor  in  the  same  condition,  or  following  market  consensus. Herding  behavior  indications  can  be  seen  from  relation  between  dispersion  of stock  return  (Cross  Sectional  Absolute  Deviation,  CSAD)  and  market  portfolio return. If herding behavior exist, CSAD increases lower than increase of market portfolio  return  moreover,  CSAD  will  decrease  even  though  market  portfolio return increases. Herding behavior in stock market can trigger mislead in stock pricing  because  is  bias  among  investors  in  analyzing  risk  and  return.  To understand  relationship  between  CSAD  and  market  portfolio  return  in  some conditions, Quantil regression is used. Result gained from this research is that in Indonesian  and  global  Asia  Pacific  stock  market,  herding  behavior  occurs  in  a market stress condition, whereas in normal condition or in condition of very high stock return, investor behavior tends to be more rational.  Keywords : herd behavior, Quanrtile regression, CSAD

Abstract

The estimation of price sensitivity curves is usually based on historical data of the product. The estimates obtained, however, are potentially biased especially if the previous condition does not reflect the current market situation. alternativety, the estimation could be based on preference data. This paper introduces the use of Generalized Linear models to estimate the curve based on preference data.

Abstract

Retail Business is growing that makes traditional retail company must compete with modern retail company. It is needed for traditional company to maintain service quality to achieve satisfaction and loyalty. Sinar Fajar is one who keeps traditional retail by delivering goods to smaller retailer company. This research is aim to gives traditional retail company a broad view about which variable that gives impacts for customers satisfaction and the strategy to implicate the result of research.  Service Quality is measured by Retail Service Quality Scale (RSQS) method which is specific to measure service performance in retail industry worldwide. Data was collected from 176 respondent that participate by filling self administered questionnaire after they shop from Sinar Fajar. Research was conducted in January-March 2014 and analyzed with Customers Satisfaction Index (CSI), Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) Method to advice the company that which variable shows impacts for customers satisfaction. The result is 71.45% Customer is satisfied by the performance of Sinar Fajar, IPA has identified groups of variable to make strategic decision to allocating resources. Variable Dimension that influence most is policy and the least is Personal Interaction. Customers who are satisfied will become loyal so they will recommend Sinar Fajar to other Customers

Abstract

Ideally the performance of a Government employees (PNS) aretheir service to the community in living and meeting their daily needs. The final goal of the PNS none other than to improve the welfare of society. Government Remuneration is an integral part of bureaucratic reform policy. Base on the bureaucracy awareness and also the government commitment to create a clean and good governmance. The purpose of bureaucratic reformation is to build a public trust (public trust building) and eliminate the negative image of government bureaucracy. The bureaucratic reformation vision is the establishment of the State apparatus professional and good governance. The mission is to change the pattern of bureaucratic reform mindset, cultural set, and the system of governance. Implementation of remuneration applied at LAPAN on July 2013 granted in accordance with the competences of the employees, work performance of the employees, and work discipline. The objective of this analysis is to analyze the relationship with remuneration and organizational culture, and the influence of remuneration to the employee competencies, organizational culture on employee competencies, employee competence to employee performance, remuneration to employee performance and the influence of organizational culture on employee performance. Analysis of the data used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
