Abstract

The objective of study was to assess the diet quality and its relation to nutrition knowledge, body mass index (BMI), and socio economic status (SES) among adults person. The cross sectional study was conducted with 100 adults aged ?25 years old from Kedung Kandang sub district, Malang. Dietary quality was assessed using two non-consecutive 24-h dietary recalls and semi quantitative FFQ. Nutrition knowledge questionnaire was modified from Parmenter and Wardle. The most subjects were middle SES and the BMI were normal and overweight. The average of diet quality score was 7.14±1.96 with dietary diversity score 1.93±0.43; micronutrient adequacy score 2.3±1.4; prevention NCD score 2.87±0.92. Nutrition knowledge score was 43.3±24.6 with dietary recommendation 9.3±3.6; sources of nutrients 14±11.5; choosing foods 6.3±4.9; diet-disease relationships 13.7±8.6. Nutrition knowledge score was no correlation with BMI, dietary diversity, prevention NCD score, but positively associated with SES, quality diet, micronutrient adequacy score. SES was no associated with BMI and quality diet index. Dietary diversity score was associated with BMI. Diet quality score was associated with nutrition knowledge but no correlation with BMI and SES. The conclusion is diet quality and nutrition knowledge was still poor and not correlated with BMI and SES, but only nutrition knowledge score.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to determine differences in the strategy map concept with strategy of analogy to the concept of students to increase the achievement of the material circulation system and excretion in humans. The method of research using a pretest-posttest control group design that the number of PGSD students population of fourth semester of academic year 2011/2012 were 8 classes The samples were two classes, one class used the concept maps of strategy and one class used the analogy strategy. In sampling, cluster random sampling technique was employed. Based on analyzing the data using t-test, the results showed that there were a significant differences in the achievement of concepts and increase students achievement of concepts between the classes that used the concept maps strategy and the analogy strategy circulatory system of material and human excretion. The increase of student achievement of concepts in a class that used the concept maps strategy was higher than the students in the class that used analogy strategy   Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan strategi peta konsep dan strategi analogi dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa materi sistem peredaran darah dan ekskresi pada manusia. Sampel dua kelas dipilih secara acak dari populasi 8 kelas mahasiswa PGSD. Dengan menggunakan uji t, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan penguasaan konsep antara mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan strategi peta konsep dengan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan strategi analogi.   Kata Kunci : Penguasaan konsep, Strategi Peta Konsep, Strategi Analogi

Abstract

Abstrak: Otonomi daerah yang dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2001 membawa perubahan besar dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Itulah sebabnya pembiayaan pendidikan menjadi komponen terpenting dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Di era otonomi daerah, urusan pendidik an dari tingkat TK hingga SMA menjadi tanggung jawab daerah dan masa depan pendidikan sangat tergantung pada kemampuan pemerintah daerah dalam mengelola sektor pendidikan. Namun sayangnya pelaksanaan otonomi pendidikan yang di lakukan oleh pemerintah daerah belum berjalan sepenuh nya karena keterbatasan anggaran, setidaknya ada enam faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Pada tulisan ini penulis akan menawarkan berbagai alternatif solusi yang dapat dilakukan baik oleh pemerintah pusat maupun pemerintah daerah untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Abstract

Abstract: National Program for Community Empowerment Pringkuku Rural District is one of the establishments in the district Pringkuku to socialize and disseminate information about the program and its implementation to the community. in order to understand and be understood by the public especially as the perpetrators as well as the location of the target program beneficiaries. During this delivery and dissemination of information on program PNPM Rural District Pringkuku, only through liflet, bulletins, brochures and outreach through forums - discussion forums, workshops and other activities so that not all information can be known by the public. Dissemination of information may be more effective if the PNPM Rural District Pringkuku have a website as a medium to deliver information to the public .The benefit of this research is the establishment of a website that could facilitate the public in accessing information Pringkuku PNPM Rural District. Research methods used were observation, interviews, library research, design, testing and implementation. The expected outcome of the socialization process and the dissemination of this information is so that the results of the implementation of the program can be understood by the public. Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the inhibition ability of the earthworm (L. rubellus) extract (ECT), dried earthworm extract (ECT-k), and granule earthworm extract (ECT-g) as poultry feed additive against some pathogenic bacteria. Antibacterial activity was performed using diffusion method against Escherichia coli, Salmonella pullorum, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus  in vitro. In the present study, the concentrations of ECT, ECT-k, and ECT-g in nutrient broth (NB) media tested were consisted of treatments A: 0%, B: 0.26%, C: 0.52%, D: 0.78% and E: 1.04% (g/vol) respectively. The results of the in vitro study showed that started from ECT level 0.26% inhibited (P <0.05) growth of P. aeruginosa and S. aureus, while ECT level 0.52% inhibited (P <0.05) E. coli and S. pullorum which proportional to the increased in concentration. ECT-k level 0.26% inhibited (P <0.05) growth of E. coli and S. aureus, while ECT-k level 0.52% inhibited (P <0.05) P. aeruginosa, and ECT-k level 1.04% inhibited (P<0.05) growth of S. pullorum. ECT-g level 0.26% inhibited (P <0.05) growth of S. pulorum, while ECT-g level 0.52% inhibited (P <0.05) S. aureus and ECT-g level 1.04% inhibited (P<0.05) growth of P. aeruginosa. There were no antibacterial action (P>0.05) of ECT and ECT-t against S. pullorum. Diameter of inhibition zone for 24 hours showed that S. aureus was the most sensitive bacterium to ECT and ECT-k, and S. pullorum was the most sensitive bacterium to ECT-g.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Seratus lima puluh ekor broiler didistribusikan ke dalam 10 kelompok perlakuan sebagai berikut: 1) broiler diberi pakan berminyak sawit 6% tanpa ekstrak daun katuk (EDK) dan tepung kunyit; 2) broiler diberi pakan berminyak sawit 6% yang mengandung 9 g EDK plus 0,5 g tepung kunyit; 3) broiler diberi pakan berminyak sawit 6% yang mengandung 18 g EDK plus 0,5 g tepung kunyit; 4) broiler diberi pakan berminyak sawit 6% yang mengandung 9 g EDK plus 1 g tepung kunyit; 5) broiler diberi pakan berminyak sawit 6% yang mengandung 18 g EDK plus 1 g tepung kunyit; 6) broiler diberi pakan berlemak sapi 6% tanpa ekstrak daun katuk (EDK) dan tepung kunyit; 7) broiler diberi pakan berlemak sapi 6% yang mengandung 9 g EDK plus 0,5 g tepung kunyit; 8) broiler diberi pakan berlemak sapi 6% yang mengandung 18 g EDK plus 0,5 g tepung kunyit; 9) broiler diberi pakan berlemak sapi 6% yang mengandung 9 g EDK plus 1 g tepung kunyit; 10) broiler diberi pakan berlemak sapi 6% yang mengandung 18 g EDK plus 1 g tepung kunyit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi EDK dan tepung kunyit berpengaruh tidak nyata (P&gt;0,05) terhadap berat karkas, cooking loss, bau daging dan berat organ dalam, tetapi berpengaruh secara nyata (P&lt;0,05) terhadap rasa, warna dan kadar kalium daging. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi EDK dan tepung kunyit meningkatkan kualitas karkas broiler.Kata kunci: Sauropus androgynus, kunyit, kualitas karkas, broiler.

Abstract

Pepino is a fruit that has been widely cultivated in Indonesia. Pepino contains high antioxidants that one of them is vitamin C. Vitamin C can improve endothelial vasodilation and has antihypertensive effect. To improve the taste of pepino need to be mixed with starfruit. Starfruit has been selected because it proved capability of lowering blood pressure.  This study aims to determine differences in the content of vitamin C in the juice mixture of pepino and starfruit on juicing and blending processing methods, as well asdifferences in the content of vitamin C in a holding time of 5, 20, 35, 50, and 65 minutes in each of the processing method.  This study was an experimental study with completely randomized factorial design. The mixed juice of pepino and starfruit used in this study was pepino (70%):starfruit (30%). Level of treatment used were juicing and blending. Analysis vitamin C using iodometric titration method.  The results showed vitamin C (mg/L) in a mixture of pepino and starfruit juice with juicing processing methods on the holding time 5, 20, 35, 50, and 65 minutes respectivelywere 911.7; 863.73; 840.9; 813.6; and 791.5. While, in the processing method of blendingwere 864.1; 528.7; 478; 421.23; and 387.97. The conclusion of this study was no significant difference between the vitamin C content processing method of juicing by blending the holding time of 5 to 65 minutes. As well as a decrease in vitamin C on the processing method of juicing and blending began holding time of 5 to 65 minutes. However, it was not significant in the juicing method (3.45% every 15 minutes) and significant at the blending method (13.03% every 15 minutes). Abstract

Curriculum network is a system of cooperation between central and local government and among the local divisions in developing curriculum which meets the local characteristics, need, and progress. The implementation of curriculum networking model and the policy of KTSP (Curriculum in each Institution Level) is expected to produce output that can satisfy the stake holders and are welcome in job market to meet the need of the society. To achieve such a condition, the improvement of academic qualification and competency of teachers as the agents of education can be realized through self-study, formal study, training, and in service training. Curriculum 2013 is issued to solve some problems that could not be solved in Curriculum 2006. For that reason, the government issued a new policy to implement Curriculum 2013, which has new structure and standard of competency. Jaringan kurikulum merupakan suatu sistem kerjasama antara pusat dan daerah,dan antar unsur di daerah dalam mengembangkan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan karakteristik, kebutuhan, dan perkembangan daerah. Implementasi model jaringan kurikulum dan kebijakan KTSP di harapkan mendapatkan out put yang memuaskan pelanggan pendidikan, dan bisa di terima di pasaran kerja sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Agar mendapatkan out put yang memuaskan maka diperlukan Peningkatan dan pengembangan kualifikasi akademik dan kompetensi guru sebagai pelaksana pendidikan dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran mandiri, studi lanjut ataupun pelatihan, dan pemberdayaan dalam tugas (in service training). Perubahan kurikulum 2013 bermula dari permasalahan-permasalahan yang belum bisa di pecahkan dalam kurikulum 2006. Pada akhirnya pemerintah membuat kebijakan baru dengan memberlakukan kurikulum 2013 yangmemiliki struktur dan standar kompetensi yang baru.

Abstract

Education is an "investment". Education is the process of forming the basis of the fundamental capabilities, both related to cognitive (intellectual) and emotional power (feeling), which is directed to human nature and to each other. Problems of teachers in secondary education in Indonesia are as follows. (1) Lack of teachers: deployment of teachers in Indonesia is not in accordance with the needs in each educational unit; there is a tendency surplus of teachers in certain areas, while other areas (outside Java) are lack of teachers. (2) The qualifications of teachers: many teachers have not their minimal education qualifications (S1 degree). (3) Academic competence and qualifications: the results of the competency test conducted on random teachers in 2004 are not satisfactory. (4) Unsuitable education background: Many teachers teach subjects that are not in accordance with their educational background. In order that the planning formulated at the national level is supported and implemented in the education ranks below, it is recommended to implement an optimal management, "Planning Philosophy", asdepicted in the "Sustainable development planning pentagon" in this article. Pendidikan merupakan suatu ”investasi”. Pendidikan merupakan proses pembentukan kemampuan dasar yang fundamental, baik menyangkut daya pikir (daya intelektual) maupun daya emosional (perasaan) yang diarahkan kepada tabiat manusia dan kepada sesamanya. Permasalahan Tenaga Pendidik di Pendidikan menengah di Indonesia adalah: (1) kekurangan guru. Penyebaran guru di Indonesia tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan di setiap satuan pendidikan, terdapat kecenderungan surplus guru di daerah tertentu, sementara di daerah lainnya (di luar Jawa) kekurangan guru. (2) kualifikasi guru, masih banyak guru yang kualifikasi pendidikannya belum S1. (3) kualifikasi kompetensi akademik. Berdasarkan hasil uji kompetensi yangdilakukan terhadap guru secara random pada tahun 2004, hasilnya belum memuaskan. (4) Ketidaksesuaian latar belakang pendidikan dengan mata ajar. Agar perencanaan yang dirumuskan di tingkat pusat terdukung dan terlaksana pada jajaran pendidikan di bawahnya, direkomendasikan agar menerapkan manajemen secara optimal, “Planning Philosophy” sebagaimana tergambar dalam “Sustainable development planning pentagon” dalam artikel ini.
