Abstract

This article discusses university students’ learning motivation on the effectiveness of E-Learning Based material in the KPB 1 classes.  The research was conducted to see the effectiveness of E- learning material that had been developed in KPB 1 to deal with students’ learning motivation.  In this pre-experimental study, all third semester students of Mathematic Tadris registered in academic year of 2012-2013 served as sample.  Questionnaire on learning motivation was used to collect the data which was later analyzed through simple statistic. The research shows that students’ learning motivation was not successfully improved after the implementation of E-Learning material.  It suggests then that such material has not been effective in the KPB 1 learning.Copyright © 2014 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v21i1.69

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a valid and practical LKS which based open-ended approach. This research is a kind of research and development whose three stages of reseach, including front-end analysis, prototype and assesment. Technique of data analysis is done by descriptive analysis. From the result of this reserach, it was produced the valid and practical LKS which based open-ended approach for triangle and rectangle material for the first grade of junior high school. Validity, according math experts, means after revising and practicality means after trying out toward students of first grade of SMP 1 Baso. So LKS based open-ended for  triange and rectangle material which constructed by researcher has been valid from form, content and language used. Abstract

The research was based on the low of mathematic reasoning ability. Reasoning ability is one of basic ability that mush be achieved by student through mathematic learning. To solve this case, problem posing model SSCS approache is preicted to be able to improve student mathematic reasong ability. This reaserch is quasy experiment reaserch with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Experiment class is given the learning by problem posing model SSCS approache, otherwise, control class is given the conventional lerning. Based on the reasult of data analysis, is concluded that student mathematic reasoning ability on application of problem posing model SSCS approache is better than student mathematic reasoning ability on conventional leraning.Key words: Reasoning ability, problem posing, model SSCS approache

Abstract

Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) is one of approach that able to increase learning teaching quality. This approach can be applied to all academic material not only social  but also science. The  characteristic of this approach is the student directly gets the experience in learning process, so that learning is meaningfull. Abstract

This research was aimed at developing valid lesson plans and metacognition-based self evaluation in Statistika Elementer subject. Learning strategies that encouraged students’ metacognition were problem-based learning and think pair share. This research employed Research and Development design. There were two main stages in this research: need analysis and prototype design. Need analysis was began with interviewing colleague, analyzing syllabus and lesson plans, analyzing students’ characteristics, analyzing lesson plan literature, self evaluation and metacognition. Prototype design referred to need analysis. Three experts recommended that lesson plans and self evaluation were valid both in terms content and construct.

Abstract

The research aim to determine whether the ability of understanding mathematical concepts students on the application of the Learning Cycle is higher than the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts in conventional learning in IPS XI MAN Gunung Padang Panjang. The research was quasi-experiment, and the research design Randomized Only Control Group Design. Research procedures are: preparation, execution and completion. The instrument used was a test essays. The hypothesis was tested with Mann-U Whitney test. Based on the research results, obtained an average ability students understanding of math concepts in the experimental class was 87.12, while the control class is 59.66 Hypothesis tests using the Mann- U Whitney obtained 3.96. That is, the test statistic Z = 3.96 is greater than the critical value = 1,645, so the research hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts in the application of the Learning Cycle is higher than the ability understanding mathematical concepts students in conventional learning.Key words: Learning Cycle, understanding of math concepts

The result of front-back analysis showed that the students needed instructional materials to help them imagine surface form. Consequently, instructional materials were designed on the basis of e-learning. Then, validation was conducted by consulting three validators. The result of validation by relevant experts showed that the e-learning based instructional materials were valid both in terms of construct and content.Kata kunci: pengembangan, bahan ajar, e-learning, KPB 1.

Abstract

This research was done to see the practicability of learning material based E-Learning that was developed in Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 1 (KPB 1). The practicability of this material was seen from the easiest of using this material by the students. The design of this research was research development. The research instrument was interview. The data from interview was analyzed by using descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of interview to the students, it was known that the learning material based E-Learning that was developed was practicable in side of use, the content, and the easiest of using it.Kata kunci: praktis, bahan ajar, e-learning.
