Abstract

Kampar District is one ofriceproduction centres in Riau, so it is important to develop SRI (System of RiceIntensiOcation) method. To apply this method, we should know therightdbunce for thericeto be plantedbecause the farmers stfll use pbinting disUnce of25 x 25 on. The research used Randomized Block design,with four treatments and three repltcattoas. The treatment is the planting distance as ibUow: 25 1 25 cm (SI),30 X 30 cm (S2), 35135 cm (S3) and 40 x 40 cm (S4). The result of analysis was tested by Duncan's NewMultiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The research result showed that by SRI method, thericepiantgrow and produce very well with planting distance of 40 K 40 cm and the production of dry unpolished grainis 6^8 kg per plot.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of household organic waste liquid fertilizer on the growth and production of peanutsand determine the concentration of good liquid organic fertilizer. The experiment lasted for 4 month from November 2017 to Februari 2018 experimental garden of Agricultural Faculty of Riau University. This research using a randomized block design (RDB) consisting of five treatments and four replications. The treatment given is K0 = 0 ml POC.l-1 water, K1 = 2.5 ml POC.l-1 water, K2 = 5 ml POC.l-1 water, K3 = 7.5 ml POC.l-1 water, and K4 = 10 ml POC.l-1 water. The parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering plants, harvest age, number of pods per plant, percentage of pithy pods, number of seeds per pod, dry seed weight per m2, and weight of 100 seeds. The data obtained were analyzed using Anova and Duncan on levels 5%. The results showed that household organic liquid fertilizer can affect plant height, age of flowering plant, harvest age, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, dry seed weight per m2, and weight of 100 seeds. The concentration of household organic liquid fertilizer7.5 ml.l-1 water and 10 ml.l-1 water give the best results in increasing the production of peanut plants.Keywords: Peanuts, concentration, liquid organic fertilizer

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of banana peel fermentation as liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of rose plants and determine the best dosage for the growth of rose plants. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau's experiment station from August to November 2017. This research was conducted in the form of an experiment using a non-factorial complete randomized design consisting of 5 levels and 3 replications. Fermented banana peel as a liquid organic fertilizer consists of 0, 150, 300, 450, 600 ml per polybag. The parameters observed were the number of shoots, length of shoots, number of leaves, when the first flower appeared and the number of blooms. The results showed that administration of banana peel fermented as a liquid organic fertilizer significantly affected the number of shoots, number of leaves, when the first flower appeared and the number of flowers. Provision of banana peel  fermentation as a liquid organic fertilizer with a dose of 450 ml per polybag gives the highest yield for the growth of rose plants.Keywords : Rose, liquid organic fertilizers, dosage

Abstract

This research aim to determine the effect of giving sawdust ash and guano fertilizer between both of it on chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) growth and production as well as to find out the best dose. This research has been conducted at Experimental Garden, University of Riau, Tampan District, lasted from April to September 2013. Research was arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with 2 factor, first is giving sawdust ash and the second one is fertilizing with guano fertilizer which is each of it consist by 3 replication. First factor; A0, A1, A2 and A3 (0, 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha), second factor; G0, G1 and G2 (0, 60 and 120 g/plot). Oberserved parameters are plant height, flowering date, harvesting date, total weight per plant, total weight per plot, fruit length, fruit girth and number sampling fruit. Data analyzed using the F test and Duncan New’s Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) 5% level. Result shows that the combination of giving sawdust ash and Guano Fertilizer reveal non significantly different to all of the parameters, but by giving sawdust ash and guano fertilizer reveal significantly different to the plant height. Abstract

Abstrac Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is one of the most Indonesian favored fruit, because the ripe fruit (ripe) has a distinctive taste, sweet, sour and fresh. The main problem encountered in the cultivation of mangosteen is to provide theseeds. Weak mangosteen plant roots decrease growth level. This study aims to determine the interaction of palm oil empty bunches compost with Arbuscular Mycorrhiza on the seed growth of mangosteen and get the best dose. This research was conductet AgricultureFaculty, University of Riau campus Bina Widya Tampan, Pekanbaru lastedOctober 2012 until January 2013. The results of shows that by using TKKS compost with a dose of 150 g/polybag and the use of mycorrhizae 15g/polybag is better than giving 150 g/polybag and mhycorrizhal 20 g/polybag because the results are not significantly different. To get the combination use of empty fruit bunches of oil palm compost and mycorrhizal needs to be done in a long time , to get more tangible results. Abstract

Dragon fruit (Hylocereus costaricensis) is one of fruit trees that grow well in Indonesia, so it has a great chance to be developed. These opportunities must be balanced with the supply of seed. Cuttings material and Growth Regulator Substance (GRS) concentration a factor that must be considered in the cultivation of seedlings  because it will affect the growth of it in the field. The research was conducted at  dragon fruit plantation Tameran village Bengkalis regency. The time used in this research lasted from August to December 2012. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 3 x 3 factorial with 3 replication. The first factor is the length cuttings, which is 20 cm, 25 cm and 30 cm. While the second factor is the GRS concentration, which is 6 g/10 ml, 9 g/10 ml and 12 g/10 ml. The parameters measured were the time appeared root, root length, number of roots, root volume, time appeared shoot, shoot length, number of shoots seedling fresh weight gain and dry weight of seedlings. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested by further testing (DNMRT) level of 5%. Results shows of the best dragon fruit seedlings growing on a combination between the 30 cm long cuttings with 9g/10 ml GRS concentration. Keywords: Dragon fruit, long cuttings, GRS concentration.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the proper dose of minerals oil as a material amelioranton peat soil and aeration delivery on peat land planting medium to support the grow thand yield ofrice. The research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in May until September 2012. This study conducted experiments using completely randomized design with 2 factor sand three replications. The first factoris the provision of minerals oil with 4levels: TM0=0g/pot, TM1=280g/pot, TM2=560g/pot, TM3=840g/pot. The second factoris Aeration with 2levels: with out aeration and A0=A1=Byproviding aeration. The result show that mineral and aerated soil factors significantly affected all parameters of observation. The interaction between the two treatments also significantly affected all parameters ofobservation. Key words: rice, peat, mineralsoil, aeration

Abstract

This research aims to determine the concentration of complement liquid fertilizer to support the growth and yield of mustard. The research was conducted at the Experimental Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from April 2014 through May 2014. Research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The concentration of complementary liquid fertilizer treatment given is B0 (0 ml/l of water) (control), B1 (1 ml/l of water), B2 (2 ml/l of water), B3 (3 ml/l of water), B4 (4 ml/l of water).The parameters measuredwere plant height (cm), number of leaves (blade), leaf area (cm2), weight fresh plants and fresh weight worth of consumption. The results showed that administration of supplementary liquid fertilizer could increase the growth and yield of mustard. The complementary liquid fertilizer at a concentration of 4 ml/l of water was the recommended concentration on the research that has been conducted for all test parameters   Keyword :Complementary liquid fertilizer, Mustard plant,Brassica juncea L.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of litter Trichocompost corn and get the correct dosage on the growth and production at mustard.  This research has been conducted on the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, located at an altitude of 10 meters above sea level. This study was conducted from February - March 2014. This study was performed experimentally by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments. Each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 18 units of the experiment, one experimental plot contained 16 plants and 3 plants samples taken from each plot. Parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), number leave (blade), leaf area (cm2), root volume (ml), fresh weight (g) and fresh weight feasible consumption (g). Data obtained from the observations were analyzed statistically, the results of the ANOVA test followed by Ducans New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed trichocompost giving corn litter can improve plant growth, especially height, number leave, leaf area, root volume, fresh weight and fresh weight worth of consumption. Abstract

The research was carry out at the experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau. The aim of this research to determine the effect grant of dolomite and N, P, K fertilizers interactions on sweet corn in peat land and get the best treatment. This research was carried out using a Randomized Design Group (RDG) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor use of the dolomite and the second factor is N, P, K treatment. The data were proceed with analysis of variance and Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. Parameters measured are plant height, stamen appears time, stigma appears time, harvest time, cob diameter, cob length without hust, cob weight without hust/sample. The result of research shown that giving of Dolomite and N, P, K fertilizers can increase growth and production on sweet corn applications of          4 ton/ha dolomite and N, P, K fertilizers (300 kg/ha Urea + 200 kg/ha SP-36        + 100 kg/ha KCl) give the best effect for cob weight without husk/sample productions on sweet corn in peat land.   Keywords : Sweet corn, peat land, dolomite, N, P, K fertilizer.
