Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi kinerja guru yang valid dan reliabel, (2) mengevaluasi kinerja guru Fisika, Biologi, dan Kimia SMA yang sudah terser-tifikasi/menerima tunjangan profesi. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh guru Fisika, Biologi dan Kimia SMA tersertifikasi/pene-rima tunjangan profesi yang berada di Kota Banda Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar dan Kabupaten Pidie. Validitas konstruk instrumen yang dikembangkan dibuktikan melalui analisis fak-tor, dan reliabilitasnya diestimasi dengan rumus alpha Cron-bach. Analisis tingkat kinerja ditentukan dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) instrumen yang dikembang-kan terdiri atas 33 butir pernyataan, dan memiliki koefisien reliabilitas konsistensi internal sebesar 0,953; (2) kinerja guru Fisika, Biologi, dan Kimia SMA yang sudah lulus sertifikasi dan sudah menerima tunjangan belum seluruhnya berkinerja tinggi; (3) kinerja guru Kimia relatif lebih baik dari pada kinerja guru Biologi dan guru Fisika. Kata kunci: evaluasi, kinerja guru, validitas, reliabilitas ______________________________________________________________AN EVALUATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF CERTIFIED SCIENCE TEACHERS (PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY) OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS Abstract This study was aimed at (1) developing a valid and reliable performance evaluation instruments for teachers, and (2) evaluating the level of Physics, Biology and Chemistry teachers of senior high schools who have been certified and received theprofession allowance. The population of this study included all certified Physics, Biology and Chemistry teachers of senior high schools who have received profession allowance in Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, and Pidie. The construct validity of the instrument developed was assessed through factor analysis, and the reliability was estimated by using Cronbach?s Alpha formula. The level of teachers?performance was analyzed by the percentage. The result of the research shows that (1) the instrument developed consists of 33 items, and has an internal consistency reliability coefficient of 0,953, (2) not all certified high school teachers who have received profession allowance and teach Physics, Biology and Chemistry show high performance, and (3) the performance of Chemistry teachers is relatively higher than that of Physics and Biology teachers. Abstract

This study report the process of developing an assessment instrument for lecturersâ??s performance at college. The results indicated that at the first try out, seven factors are extracted from the data obtained by using exploratory method Principal Components Analysis (PCA), which is in accordance with the theoretical estimated factors. The Confirmatory method used is Maximum Likelihood (ML) to test the goodness of fit of the 7 factors. The index of test of the seven factors is 952.062. The second try out, also found seven factors, with the index of goodness of fit of 664.287   Abstrak Penelitian ini memaparkan proses pengembangan instrumen penilaian kinerja dosen di perguruan tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada ujicoba pertama, tujuh faktor yang diambil dari data yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode eksplorasi Principal Components Analysis (PCA), yang sesuai dengan faktor perkiraan teoritis. Metode Konfirmatori yang digunakan adalah Maximum Likelihood (ML) untuk menguji kecocokan dari 7 faktor. Indeks dari uji tujuh faktor adalah 952,062. Uji coba kedua juga memperoleh tujuh faktor, dengan indeks kecocokan 664,287.

Abstract

The study aimed at inquiring how science teachers use question technique in the teaching-learning process. The methodology used in this study was a survey method of quantitative approach. The population is all senior high school Physics teachers in Banda Aceh. The sample is the Physics teachers regarding their length of duty which were 6 teachers from 6 schools. The sampling technique was using disproportionate stratified random sampling based on the schools? accreditation. The data collection process was carried out by distributing the questionnaire to teachers and documentation technique by videotaping the learning process. The data were analyzed using a descriptive technique. The results showed that teachers used redirecting technique (70%) and probing technique (45.83%). Next, the teachers? experience only impacts the probing technique. A suggestion that can be made in teaching Physics, teachers should ask questions that track and test students? understanding toward a concept that they have learned.

Abstract

Abstract: Principal Management in Improving the Educational Quality at Elementary School Cluster of Bungong Keupula, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Objectives: This research aims to determine the program, implementation, evaluation and obstacles faced by the headmaster in improving the educational quality at elementary school cluster of Bungong Keupula, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Methods: The study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are conducted with interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Research subjects of principals, representatives, and teachers. Findings: the results showed that (1) school principal is prepared in accordance with the vision, covering the quality of curriculum fields, teaching fields, quality improvement and teacher performance, continuing education for teachers, supervision programs, the implementation of new students acceptance studies, improvement of facilities and infrastructure, but not all programs are well documented; (2) implementation of the program applies the cooperation between teachers periodically; (3) evaluation is carried out at the end of semester using evaluation instrument; and (4) the obstacles are still lack of funds, time and means, teachers who lack ICT master, low interest teachers in reading and developing teaching materials.Keywords: principal management, educational quality, elementary school. Abstrak: Manajemen Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Pendidikan di Cluster Sekolah Dasar Bungong Keupula, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program, implementasi, evaluasi dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bungong Keupula, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, perwakilan, dan guru. Temuan: hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepala sekolah disiapkan sesuai dengan visi, meliputi kualitas bidang kurikulum, bidang pengajaran, peningkatan kualitas dan kinerja guru, pendidikan berkelanjutan untuk guru, program pengawasan, pelaksanaan studi penerimaan siswa baru , peningkatan fasilitas dan infrastruktur, tetapi tidak semua program didokumentasikan dengan baik; (2) implementasi program menerapkan kerja sama antar guru secara berkala; (3) evaluasi dilakukan pada akhir semester dengan menggunakan instrumen evaluasi; dan (4) kendala masih kurangnya dana, waktu dan sarana, guru yang kurang menguasai TIK, guru minat rendah dalam membaca dan mengembangkan bahan ajar.Kata kunci: manajemen kepala sekolah, kualitas pendidikan, sekolah dasar.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v10.i1.202015

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of fishery aquaculture development program, synergy development of aquaculture culture and to describe strategy of synergy of development of aquaculture fishery in Kampar regency. The research method used is field survey method with interview and questionnaire. The results showed that the implementation of the development of aquaculture reached 55.89% of the realization of the budget of Rp 57.595 billion, with the activity of 11 (eleven) activities / projects, in synergy fisheries development there are two aspects that must be synergized, management aspects (planning, organizing, controlling) and aspects of human resources, (regulation, budgeting, aperature resources), SWOT analysis shows that Kampar Regency has some power to exploit the big opportunities, for the strategy of synerginity of aquaculture development in the first quadrant (one) the government can utilize SO (Strengths-Opportunities).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increasing of high school students? motivation in learning physics through the use of computer simulation media in terms of parents? employment background. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted in class X SMAN 1 Lhoknga Aceh Besar. The data collection was gathered by giving a pretest and posttest questionnaire of student motivation. Then, the administration of a questionnaire survey was conducted to find out the background of the parents? employment. The results of the study showed that the use of computer simulations media could increase student motivation. The survey results showed that in the experimental class the student whose father works as a vegetable seller and his mother as a housewife got the highest increase of motivation. Furthermore, students who experienced the lowest increase of motivation both parents were victims of tsunami disaster in 2004. In the control class, students who experienced the highest increase of motivation came from a family whose father works as a fisherman and his mother is a housewife. Whereas, Students who obtained the lowest increase of motivation, his father has temporary jobs and his mother is a housewife.

Abstract

This service aims to provide information so that farmers can utilize and apply liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste (MOL) to rice plants in the village of Cot Darat, Sama Tiga District, West Aceh Regency. The method used to achieve these objectives is through counseling using participatory and on-site practice. The stages of its implementation are through counseling methods in the form of material exposure on vegetable waste MOL, discussion of farmer groups on site, training in processing organic waste into biocomposers together with farmer groups. The results of this service show that the level of knowledge and understanding of technology for processing vegetable waste into organic fertilizer can be absorbed (controlled) by rice farmers. All members of the group consist of various ages ranging from 30 to 50 years. One indicator in determining work productivity in conducting business development is the age level, where the age of farmers who are relatively young is stronger, work smart, easy to accept new innovations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi hidrokarbon melalui penggunaan pengembangan bahan ajar modul. Pengembangan modul menggunakan model Hannafin and Peck yang terdiri atas tiga fase, yaitu fase analisis keperluan, desain, serta pengembangan dan implementasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel diambil secara acak dan terbagi dalam kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dilakukan melalui tes awal dan tes akhir pada kedua kelas, dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap penggunaan modul sebagai bahan ajar pada materi hidrokarbon digunakan angket. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, diantaranya uji tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, validitas, dan reliabilitas untuk instrumen yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian. Selanjutnya, untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dilakukan perhitungan N-gain dari hasil tes awal dan tes akhir siswa. Uji hipotesis menggunakan beberapa pengujian, diantaranya uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji kesamaan dua rerata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul hidrokarbon dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Di samping itu, guru dan siswa sangat setuju terhadap penggunaan modul tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence of firm characteristic, that is company age, company size, profitability, company profile, number of independent board, and leverage to disclosure of corporate social responsibility. Sample used in this study were 41 manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2014 until 2016 with the disclosure of social responsibility and financial summary data can be obtained through annual report. Sampling techniques performed by the method of purposive sampling and data processing performed by multiple linear analysis. The study was partially obtained show that Profitability, Company Profile, and Number of independent board of commisioners effect on CSR disclosure. On the other hand, the partial results showed that the absence of Company Age, Company Size, and Leverage effect to wards CSR disclosure. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan, yaitu umur perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan, profabilitas, profil perusahaan, jumlah dewan komisaris, leverage terhadap pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial. Sampel yang digunakan dalam dalam penelitian ini adalah 41 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2014 sampai 2016 dengan informasi pengungkapan tanggung jawab social dan ringkasan data keuangan yang dapat diperoleh melalui laporan tahunan. Teknik sampling dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan pengolahan Data yang dilakukan dengan mengunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkkan bahwa Profitabilitas, Profil Perusahaan, dan Jumlah Dewan Komisaris memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengungkapan CSR. Disisi lain, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh Umur Perusahaan, Ukuran Perusahaan, dan Leverage terhadap CSR.

Abstract

The results of previous studies show that students of Physics Education (S1 and S2), FKIP Syiah Kuala University more than 50% do not understand the programs and roadmap of Pilar ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community as a part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The inference of those results to the implementation of learning physics and science education system needs to be implemented through a link and match learning model that can improve the ability to think critically and creatively, and students need to be trained to be problem solvers, not the problem makers.Based on these problems, through this research has been applied physics learning by using Problem Solving strategies on 25 students of Master of Physical Education and Science. At the end of the implementation study measured the ability of students to apply problem-solving strategies in accordance with Answer Sections of Problem Solving adopted from previous research. The results showed that the majority of students (78%) are able to implement the stage I (Focus on Problem) with a complete, almost all respondents (91%) was only able to implement the stage II (Describe the Physics) of about 40%, almost all respondents (91% ) can apply for the stage III (Plan The Solution) approximately 80% of all respondents have been able to implement the stage IV (Excute the Plan) perfectly, and all respondents have been able to apply the stage V (Evaluate the Answer) completely. It is expected that all staff of teaching Science materials (Physics), they are recommended strongly to implement Problem Solving as an alternative strategy for preparing students to face global competition in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
