Abstract

Sintesis nanopartikel perak-TCP telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Nanopartikel perak dibuat dengan mereduksi larutan perak nitrat dengan menggunakan ekstrak daun alpukat sebagai bioreduktor. Tricalsium Phosphate (TCP) dicelupkan kedalam nanopartikel perak membentuk komposit perak-tricalcium phosphate. Hasil analisis UV-Vis menunjukkan pembentukan puncak serapan nanopartikel perak pada panjang 445-446 nm, yakni puncak yang khas dari nanopartikel perak yang disebabkan oleh adanya fenomena Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR). Penelitian ini menghasilkan perak-TCP dengan ukuran nanopartikel. Sesuai  hasil X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) yang menunjukkan bahwa ukuran kristal TCP adalah 64 nm dan ukuran Kristal perak dalam komposit adalah 46 nm. Hasil Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) menunjukan partikel perak terdistribusi dipermukaan partikel TCP. Kata Kunci: Komposit perak-TCP, nanopartikel perak, Percea americana,  tricalcium phosphate.  The silver-TCP nanoparticle synthesis was carried out in this study. Silver nanoparticles are made by reducing silver nitrate solution using avocado leaf extract as a bioreactor. Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP) is dipped into silver nanoparticles to form a silver-tricalcium phosphate composite. The UV-Vis analysis shows the formation of silver nanoparticle absorption peaks at a length of 445-446 nm, which is a typical peak of silver nanoparticles caused by the Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) phenomenon. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) shows that the TCP crystal size is 64 nm and the size of the Silver Crystal in the composite is 46 nm. The results of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) show silver particles distributed on the surface of TCP particles Keywords: Percea americana, silver-TCP composite, silver nanoparticle, tricalcium phosphate.

Abstract

Sintesis senyawa feroelektrik yang berbasis fasa Aurivillius berlapis empat (n = 4) yang didadah kation La3+ dan Mn3+, Ca1-xBi3,5+xLa0,5Ti4-xMnxO15 dengan x = 0, 0,2, 0,4, 0,6, 0,8, dan1 telah dilakukan dengan teknik lelehan garam. Karakterisasi produk dengan difraksi sinar-X (XRD) menunjukkan bahwa fasa tunggal Aurivillius ditunjukkan oleh sampel dengan x = 0, 0,2, 0,4, dan 0,6. Refinement struktur dengan teknik Le Bail diketahui bahwa senyawa Aurivillius yang terbentuk sesuai dengan simetri ortorombik dan grup ruang A21am. Analisis dengan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) untuk semua sampel memperlihatkan morfologi sampel berupa lempengan yang merupakan ciri khas senyawa Aurivillius. Nilai konstanta dielektrik sampel dan konduktivitasnya mengalami kenaikan dengan meningkatnya x. Konduktivitas paling tinggi dimiliki oleh sampel x = 0,2 yang diperkirakan akibat adanya interaksi pertukaran ganda (double exchange) antara Mn3+ dan Mn4+.Synthesis of Aurivillius Compounds Ca1-xBi3,5 + xLa0,5Ti4-xMnxO15: Structure and Dielectric Properties. Synthesis of ferroelectric compounds based on a four-phase Aurivillius phase (n = 4) which is doped with La3+ and Mn3+ cations, Ca1-xBi3,5+xLa0,5Ti4-xMnxO15 with x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0 , 8, and 1 were carried out by molten salts technique. Characterization of products using X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed that the single phase Aurivillius was shown by the samples with x = 0, 0,2, 0,4, and 0,6. The results of refinement show that the Aurivillius phase formed has orthorhombic symmetry with A21am space group. Morphology analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for all samples shows the plate-like as the characteristic of Aurivillius compounds. The value of dielectric constant and conductivity of the samples increases as increase of x. The conductivity of x = 0.2 is the highest predicted due to the interaction of double exchange between Mn3+ and Mn4+.

Abstract

The ultra-hydrophobic surface on Indonesia bamboo timber has been successfully prepared using OFP (2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-octafluoro-1-pentanol) as a modifier agent. The hydrothermal method has been used to fabricate anatase TiO2 film followed by OFP modification. Maximal water contact angle of 123ο has been obtained for the composition of 10 mL of OFP and 15 mL of 2-propanol (B-T-OFP10). XRD analysis showed the existence of pure anatase TiO2 film on bamboo timber, confirmed by EDS result. SEM image of a TiO2-coated and a typical ultra-hydrophobic bamboo timber revealed irregular aggregates of spherical TiO2 on the surface and compact ultra-hydrophobic  surface, respectively. The optimum sample (B-T-OFP10) showed excellent mechanical stability, self-cleaning property, and flame retardancy compared to pure bamboo timber.

Abstract

Synthesis of four-layered Aurivillius compound doped with Nd3+ and Mn4+ cations, SrBi3.5Nd0.5Ti4-xMnxO15 (x = 0; 0.5; 1) was carried out using molten salt method with a mixture of Na2SO4/K2SO4 as a flux. The synthesized products were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and refined by Le Bail technique. The results of XRD analysis show that the four-layered Aurivillius compound formed, however there are additional peaks identified as perovskite and Bi7.68Ti0.32O12.16  phases for x = 0 and perovskite and Sr4Ti3O10phases for x = 0.5 and 1. The results of refinement show that four-layered Aurivillius phase formed has orthorhombic symmetry with A21am space group. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) shows the plate like morphology that are characteristic of Aurivillius compound. Dielectric constant of the samples show increasing value as increasing of Mn4+ concentration.

Abstract

Magnetic nanoparticles of TiO2-(x)NiFe2O4 with x = 0.01, 0.1, and 0.3have been synthesized by mixture of titanium isopropoxide (TIP) and nitric metal as precursors. The particles were characterized by XRD, SEM-EDX, and VSM. XRD pattern show the peaks at 2q = 25.3°, 38.4° and 47.9° which are referred as anatase phase of TiO2. Meanwhile NiFe2O4 phase was observed clearly for x = 0.3. The present of NiFe2O4 can prevent the transformation of TiO2 from anatase to rutile when the calcination temperature increased. Microstructure analyses by SEM show the homogeneous form and size of particles. The magnetic properties analysis by VSM indicates that TiO2-NiFe2O4 is paramagnetic behavior. TiO2 doped NiFe2O4 has higher photocatalytic activity than TiO2 synthesized for degradation of Rhodamine B in aqueous solution under solar light irradiation.

Abstract

Four-layered Aurivillius phases PbBi4Ti4O15doped with Nd3+ with formula PbBi3NdTi4O15 were synthesized by molten-salt technique using NaCl and KCl (1:1 molar ratio) as the flux. Precursors were weighed stoichiometrycally and grinded with salts mixture in 1:7 ratio (product : salts mixture) until homogenous. The samples were heated at temperature 600oC, 700oC, 800oC, and 900oC for 5 hours for each temperature. The products were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and LCR-meter. XRD data were refined by Rietica program using Le Bail technique. Refinement results showed the best structure as the A21am of space group for both samples. Surface analysis for each samples morphology is the plate-like by SEM characterization. Dielectric constants measured at room temperature show that the sample doped Nd3+ has lower value than sample without containing Nd3+ cation.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan sintesis nanopartikel MnFe2O4 secara hidrotermal menggunakan ekstrak daun andalas (M. macroura Miq.)  sebagai capping agent. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pH terhadap bentuk dan ukuran nanopartikel MnFe2O4. MnFe2O4 EN10 dan  MnFe2O4 EN12 disintesis menggunakan ekstrak daun andalas dan NaOH dengan pH masing-masing 10 dan 12, sementara MnFe2O4 N10 dan MnFe2O4 N12 disintesis tanpa menggunakan ekstrak daun andalas hanya dengan penambahan NaOH pada pH 10 dan 12. Hasil analisis X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) menunjukkan karakteristik MnFe2O4 spinel kubik  dengan ukuran kristal 11-16 nm, sedangkan MnFe2O4 E menunjukkan tidak terbentuknya spinel ferrit MnFe2O4 yang terbentuk hanya pengotor yaitu ?-Fe2O3. Hasil karakterisasi Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) menunjukkan  bahwa morfologi nanopartikel MnFe2O4 berbentuk spheric. Nanopartikel MnFe2O4 diaplikasikan sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli dengan metode sumur.

Abstract

Synthesis of four-layer Aurivillius CaBi3LaTi4O15 has been successfully carried out by hydrothermal technique using NaOH 4 M as mineralizer. The reaction was carried out at 220 °C for 72 h. Crystal structure, morphology, and dielectric properties were analyzed in this study. X-ray diffraction confirmed that the single-phase product was successfully obtained. The refinement result shows the product has orthorhombic crystal structure with space group A21am. The morphology analyzed using SEM shows plate-like grains are observed, which is characteristic of Aurivillius phase. Dielectric curves show peaks at 585 °C which indicate ferroelectric transition temperature.
