Abstract

Discussing the paradigm of dialogue and integration in the Islamic science of religion is important since the practice of religious education still applies the paradigm of conflict and independence. These paradigms have a great influence on the formation of socio-religious and cultural ways of thinking. The relationship between Islamic religiousc and natural, social, as well as cultural sciences, needs patterns of integrated, interconnected relations and dialogues. Islamic Studies requires a multidisciplinary approach, that is, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity. Scientific linearity, in which science is narrowly defined and mono-disciplinary, will lead to an understanding of religion and religious interpretations that has no contact with and relevance to the context in which it is studied. New types of religious thought that encourage independent discussion and dialogue on the subjective, objective and intersubjective aspects of science and religion will create the emergence of a new type of religiosity in the multicultural era. All of this requires more effort to undertake a serious reconstruction of scientific methodologies and the methodologies of scientific studies of religion.[Penerapan paradigma dialog dan integrasi dalam ilmu-ilmu keislaman masih penting untuk didiskusikan mengingat praktik pendidikan agama masih menerapkan paradigm konflik dan independen. Paradigma-paradigma ini memiliki pengaruh yang besar dalam pembentukan cara pandang keagamaan, baik sosial maupun kultural. Hubungan antara ilmu-ilmu keislaman di satu sisi dengan ilmu-ilmu alam, sosial, dan budaya di sisi lain, memerlukan pola hubungan dan dialog yang terintegrasi-interkoneksi. Studi Islam mensyaratkan pendekatan multi disiplin, baik interdisipliner maupun transdisipliner. Linearitas keilmuan yang membatasi bidang ilmu secara sempit dan mono-disiplin akan menggiring pemahaman agama dan tafsir keagamaan yang tidak terkait dan tidak relevan dengan konteks pengkajian. Model baru pemikiran keagamaan yang mendorong dialog dan diskusi yang independen mengenai aspek-aspek subjektif, objektif, dan intersubjektif ilmu dan agama akan menciptakan munculnya model baru keberagamaan di era multicultural. Semua ini memerlukan lebih banyak upaya serius dalam merekonstruksi metodologi keilmuan dan metode-metode studi agama.]

Abstract

Abstract : This paper attempts to consider how the history of world religions, including the history of Islamic civilization, always have, through and documenting the cultural encounter, i.e. the relationship between center and periphery and the experience of the encounter in the frontier. Two-ways relationship shaping a dyadic pattern, that is the encounter of Muslim with the local culture in which the regional and national states dimensions is being ignored, or vice versa, and also an encounter of Muslim with the nation states which forgetting the aspirations and local culture, yet to meet and to relate the two with international issues, either an encounter of religion and international community as well, is almost impossible to bring about the new problems within the  dynamics of the global era today. Thus, the role of philosophical interpretation and contemporary Islamic philosophy is to provide a discern socio-cultural analysis in its interplay more complete and accurate between regional, national and mondial.Keywords : Philosophical interpretaion, cultural encounters, the perma-nence, the change, univocality of being, gradation of being, maqāṣid sharī’ah, interpreted sharī’ah, Islamicate Abstrak : Tulisan ini mencoba menilik bagaimana sejarah agama-agama dunia, termasuk sejarah peradaban Islam, selalu mengalami, melalui dan mendokumentasikan proses hubungan perjumpaan yang bercorak kultural (cultural encounter), baik hubungan antara pusat dan pinggir (centre and periphery) maupun pengalaman perjumpaan di wilayah tapal batas (frontier). Hubungan dua arah yang bercorak diadik, yaitu perjumpaan pemeluk agama Islam dengan budaya lokal dengan melupakan dimensi regionalitas dan nasionalitas (nation states) atau sebaliknya, juga perjumpaan pemeluk agama Islam dengan negara-bangsa (nation states) dengan melupakan aspirasi dan budaya lokal, belum lagi menghubungkan dan memperjumpakan keduanya dengan isu-isu global-internasional (world citizenship), begitu pula perjumpaan agama dan masyarakat internasional dengan menepikan keterkaitannya dengan permasalahan lokal dan nasional (nation states) hampir-hampir tidak mungkin dapat menyelesaikan masalah-masalah baru pada era digital global seperti saat sekarang ini. Abstract

The term Maqasid al-Syariah is closely linked to the Islamic Studies, especially in the field of the study of Islamic law and Islamic jurisprudence. Some Muslim thinkers, like al-Syatibi (d. 766/1388) in his work al-Muwafaqat and al-Tufi (d.716/1316) in his Risalah are the most representative of them. This article will introduce the development and the enrichment of Maqasid al-Syariah theory in contemporary era via Jasser Audas thought. A difference from the previous theory of Maqasid al-Syariah, this contemporary theory of Maqasid al-Syariah can only be understood and developed, if and only if the Islamic law thinkers can and be able to integrate two different type of scientific approaches, namely Historical approach and Philosophical approach in the same time. Historical approach very keenly alerts the development and the movement of concept, meaning and interpretation in the understanding of Islamic law from the traditional, modern to post-modern era. While philosophical approach utilizes the systems theory a theory which is commonly used in the sciences in the operationalization of those conceptual entities. This systems theory involves six features, namely cognition, wholeness, openness, interconnectedness, multidimensionality, and purposefulness. In the language of scientific and institutional transformation of IAIN (State Islamic Institute) to UIN (State Islamic University) in the Islamic higher education in Indonesia around the year 2000th, this changing scientific outlook is patently well known as integration interconnection of scientific discourse.

Abstract

In recent years, especially over the past decade, there has been increasing intolerance of certain religions and ethnic minorities in various parts of Indonesia, whether in the form of physical assault by a particular group or omission by the authorities. Such situation is increasing when entering the campaign period before the elections simultaneously and Presidential Election. In this condition the role of FKUB as one of the tolerant agents in the national political arena becomes important. Some things to be considered include the basic question of the State (four pillars), religious views, religious literacy and education in public spaces and media.Keywords: toleransi, pandangan keagamaan, media, ruang publik

Abstract

Dalam pandangan M. Talbi, kita melihat suatu dimensi yang lebih praktis daripada dalam pandangan Arkoun, dan lain–lain. M. Talbi menggambarkan dialog sebagai salah satu bagian yang penting bagi manusia untuk menjadi religius dan manusiawi, menjadi seorang yang sepenuhnya berserah diri kepada kehendak Allah. Orang Kristen dan Muslim bersama-sama membuat perdamaian dan keadilan antara dua komunitas agama. Sebagai objek dari dialog Muslim–Kristen, M. Talbi mempelajari warisan nilai spiritual dari agama yang mengikuti tradisi alkitabiah. Talbi juga menjelaskan bahwa dari perspektif Qur’aniah, dialog merupakan suatu persoalan keagamaan yang diperintahkan oleh Wahyu. Seluruh Wahyu sebagaimana dilihat oleh M. Talbi dalam kalimat Qur’an, memerintahkan manusia, Nabi, Umat Muslim, untuk terlibat dalam dialog dengan manusia pada umumnya, dan khususnya dengan orang–orang beriman dari agama kitab. Inti dari pemahaman keagamaan tentang dialog adalah “rekonsiliasi atau penyelenggaraan hubungan baru”.

Abstract

Vienna Circle may be considered as a embrio of logical positivism. In general, positivism itself could notbe separated from the noted French philoshoper; August Comte. He was the leading scholar who taught positive stage of though as the highest conclusion of man adventure. In the modern world, however, positive thinking is not enough to solve men?s problems. The inner aspects of life usually does not need positive thinking solely. In many cases, they need to be resolved by religion.

Abstract

Clumps of Islamic scholarship include, among others, Kalam, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Philosophy, Mysticism. Also can be added Ulum al-Qurâ??an, Ulum al-Hadith, Arabic with it various branches. In terms of â??Kalamâ?, often more popularly called Aqeedah, Fiqh is called Shariah and Sufism called Akhlaq. Thus, the Islamic religious sciences trilogy as found in Islamic religious education in schools covering Aqidah - actually a discussion on Kalam/ theology, Worship-represented by Fiqh or Shariah-and Akhlaq-whose roots are Tasawwuf. Internal relationships between all disciplines of Islamic sciences are often interrelated, because they are actually could not be segregated and separated. This kind of Islamic sciences relationship are not alike with the relationship between Mathematics, Sociology and Law where their discussions can really be separated, meanwhile the relationships among Islamic sciences indeed interrelated to one another. In such approach, then when the paper titled â??Kalamâ??, in fact it discusses very indirectly related to the discussion of Fiqh / Shariâ??ah, Philosophy and Mysticism. When mentioned â??Kalamâ? here means a way of life or view of religious Islamic World, which includes a variety of many disciplines in Islamic sciences. This paper is going to discuss Jasser Audaâ??s idea to answer the questions: whether the world view of Islam colored Religiously static (ghairu qabilin li al-niqash wa al-taghyir) or vice versa, the Islamic religious world view actual dynamic (qabilun li al-niqash wa al-taghyir) so that the concepts, understanding and interpretation of the old and new can be moved on a dialogue and discussion without unnecessary tension because of the history of human development and history of Muslims continues and always on the move and change according to the motion of the universe, as in fact the planet is spinning move as the movement and rotation of the other planets. In this paper, â??Kalamâ? will be seen in the context of historical changes in human experience, from the traditional era, then how in the modern and postmodern as well as contemporary Muslim intellectuals, as Jasser Auda react it and how about the form or format Kalam world view in a nation-state era and in the global era like nowadays. What are the implications and consequences on education, propaganda, social- community relations, politics and so on.
