Abstract

Kusmiyati et al, 2017. Application of Bioslurry Technology at Montongsari Village, Kendal Regency Central Java Province. JLSO 6(2):106-112.The dependence of farmers on inorganic fertilizers is increasing from year to year. The urea requirement for agriculture in 2015 was 3.795.596 tons, increased to 4.007.463 tons in 2016. Many efforts have been made to reduce farmer?s dependence on inorganic fertilizers. The activity purpose of Student Community Service-Community Empowerment Learning was to reduce farmer?s dependence on inorganic fertilizers by using bioslurry at Montongsari village, Kendal regency, Central Java. The activities were training, mentoring and demonstration plot. Training and mentoring activities were  processing of biogas wastes into solid and liquid bioslury fertilizers and their application on plant. The treatments of demonstration plot were without and with liquid bioslurry on growth and production of water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica). The result of the mentoring activities showed a biogas reactor (capacity of 4 m3) will produce 18 kg of bioslury from 20-40 kg of goat dung. Nitrogen content (N), C-organic  and C / N ratio of solid bioslury were 1.43%; 37.61% and 26.30, respectively. While nitrogen content of liquid bioslury was only 0.09%.  There were no growth difference between aplication of liquid bioslurry and inorganic fertilizer on water spinach. The conclusion was  bioslury of biogas waste both solid and liquid bioslury can be utilized as organic fertilizer for plants.

Abstract

AbstrakKetahanan pangan mensyaratkan kondisi tercukupinya pangan bagi seluruh elemen masyarakat, berkualitas, aman, beragam, bergizi, merata, serta mudah dijangkau. Rumah tangga memiliki peran penting sebagai satu diantara banyak faktor pendukung terwujudnya ketahanan pangan nasional, misalnya dengan pembentukan Rumah Pangan Lestari (RPL) yang berwawasan pertanian organik.Selain memiliki nilai ekonomi, kesehatan, dan ekologi, pembentukan RPL juga akan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan pekarangan dan ruang-ruang sempit di sekitar rumah. Artikel ini merupakan rangkuman dari satu diantara beberapa kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata - Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat(KKN-PPM UNDIP) di desa Montongsari, kabupaten Kendal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja, untuk memanfaatkan limbah biogas atau biosurry sebagai pupuk organik dalam budidaya tanaman dengan teknik vertikultur di sekitar rumah. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei, penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan pembuatan RPL dengan memanfaatkan bioslurry. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat, yaitu mulai timbul kesadaran dan perubahan perilaku masyarakat. Bioslurry yang sebelumnya belum dimanfaatkan, dapat diaplikasikan sebagai pupuk organik. Lahan kosong di sekitar rumah dan sepanjang kiri-kanan jalan yang selama ini tidak dimanfaatkan, mulai dimanfaatkan sebagai kawasan yang menunjang pangan masyarakat. Lingkungan yang dulu terkesan gersang berubah menjadilebih asri. Oleh sebab itu untuk mendukung keberlanjutan RPL, diperlukan keinginan yang serius dan tindakan nyata dari pemerintah dan masyarakat.Kata kunci: Bioslurry, Kelestarian Lingkungan, Organik, Pangan, Rumah Pangan LestariAbstractFood security exist when all people at all times have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food. Households have an important role in national food security, by creating the Sustainable Food Reserve Gardens based on organic principles. It has economic, health, and ecological benefits. Sustainable Food Reserve Gardens also will optimize the spaces arround the houses. This article is a summary of one of the Student Community Service - Community Empowerment Learning of Diponegoro University activities in Montongsari village, Kendal Regency. This program aims was to empower the group of housewives to use biogas residue or bioslurry as organic fertilizer in verticulture arround the houses. The methods used were survey, extension, training, and outreach in application of bioslurry organic fertilizer for Sustainable Food Reserve Gardens. This program had positive impact for the community, including the emergence of awarenees and behavior changes of community. Bioslurry can be appliedas organic fertilizer. Spaces arround the houses can provide accessibility of fresh food for community. The village seems to change to become more beautiful. Abstract

The purpose of the research was to study the effect of shade percentage and different harvest timeon stevia growth and production in lowland. The experiment was assigned in completely randomized multilocation design with the first factor was shade percentage (45%, 55% and 65%) and the second factor was different harvest time (30 DAP, 40 DAP and 50 DAP). Each treatments was repeated three times. Parameters measured were the plant height, dry weight, total chlorophyll content and total sugar content. Data were subjected to ANOVA and followed by Tukey Test. The result showed that the best shade percentage was 45% in total sugar content. The best harvest time was 50 DAP that showed on total chlorophyll content. The result showed no significant different on average plant height and dry weight. Interaction of shade percentage and different harvest time showed significant effect on total sugar content. Keyword : Stevia, shade percentage, harvest age

Abstract

The aim of this research was to observe the effect of abbit urine fertilizer based on Local Microorganism (LoM) with different type and dosage on growth and production of mustard. The research was conducted on 2nd June to 31st August 2017 at Greenhouse of Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Science Diponegoro University, Semarang. The research was design at 3x3 factorial design with 3 replications for each. The first factor was different type of rabbit urine fertilizer .ie. non fermented rabbit urine fertilizer (A1), rabbit urine fertilizer fermented of LoM glutinous tapai (A2), rabbit urine fertilizer fermented of LoM cassava tapai (A3) and the second factor was N dosage .ie. 150 kg/Ha (B1), 175 kg/Ha (B2), and 200 kg/Ha (B3). The observed parameters were plant N uptake, plant height, fresh weight production and dry weight production. The results of the study showed that the type and dosage of rabbit urine fertilizer did not affect of the growth and the production of mustard because the amount of N that can be utilized by the plant was relatively similar, probably due to the low C/N ratio causing the relative N easily to lose because of evaporation and the leaching process. It can be concluded that rabbit urine fermented and non fermented with different of dosage did not give significant effect on growth and production of mustard. Therfore, it is more advantageous to use non fermented rabbit urine fertilizer with 150 kg/ha dosage because of time saving and lower cost. Abstract

The increasing number of population in Kaligarang watershed will cause population pressure that will have a direct impact on land-use change and in turn will have an impact on watershed hydrological characteristics. Watershed management planning as an integral part of land-use and conservation based development is very important and need to be applied. The aims of this research were to analyze land-use changes in Kaligarang watershed, and the impact of land-use changes on watershed hydrological characteristics in Kaligarang. The results of this research showed that in Kaligarang watershed, there was a decrease in forest area of 2.28% and rice field of 13.96%, an increase in resident area of 2.14%, dry land farming of 5.82% and mixed dry land farming of 10.03%. The decreasing forest area caused an increase in runoff coefficien (CRO= 147.5 ? 7.06F), an increase in average daily maximum discharge (Qmax(cms) = 79.33 ? 4.23 F) and a decrease in baseflow (BF (cms) = -1.65 + 0.36 F)

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The objective of this research was to examine the effect and quantity of rice straw mulch on the growth and production of kailan. This research was conducted inAspakusa Makmur Farms Association, Teras, Boyolali and Laboratory of Ecology and Plant Production, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarangfrom January 24th to March24th 2018. The research was assigned in completely randomized monofactor design with the factor was M0: control, M1: 2 ton/ha, M2: 4 ton/ha, M3: 6 ton/ha and M4: 8 ton/ha. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, soil and temperature, plant and root wet weight, plant and root dry weight and total chlorophyll content.The results showed thatmulch treatment with a dose of 6 tons/ha was able to increase the yield of leaves, root dry weight and total chlorophyll content but did not increase crop yields, soil and temperature, plant and root wet weight, plant dry weight Keyword: Kailan, Mulch, Rice straw ABSTRAK  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh dan takaran mulsa jerami padi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kailan. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal24 Januari 2018 – 24 Maret 2018 di Lahan pertanian Asosiasi Aspakusa Makmur Kecamatan Teras Kabupaten Boyolali dan Laboratorium Ekologi dan Produksi Tanaman, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Penelitian disusun dengan rancangan acak lengkap monofaktor dengan perlakuan M0: kontrol, M1: jerami padi 2 ton/ha, M2: jerami padi 4 ton/ha, M3: jerami padi 6 ton/ha dan M4: jerami padi 8 ton/ha. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, kelembaban dan suhu tanah, berat basah tanaman dan akar, berat kering tanaman dan akar dan kandungan klorofil total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan mulsa dengan takaran 6 ton/ha mampu meningkatkan hasil jumlah daun, berat kering akar dan kandungan klorofil total tetapi tidak meningkatkan hasil tinggi tanaman, kelembaban dan suhu tanah, berat basah tanaman dan akar, berat kering tanaman Kata kunci: kailan, mulsa, jerami padi

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The aim of this research was to observe of subtitution of inorganic fertilizer with organic herbs fertilizer on growth and production of tomato plants. The research used Monofactor Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The treatment that substitution of inorganic fertilizer with organic herbal fertilizer were 100%+0% (T0); 80%+20% (T1); 60%+40% (T2); (T3) 40%+60% (T3);20%+80% (T4); 0%+100% (T5). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of fruit and weight of fresh fruit. Data were analysis of variabel (F Test) and further test with Tukey Multiple Range Test (BNT). The results showed that the substitution of fertilizer on treatment T3 (40% of inorganic fertilizers + 60% organic herbal fertilizer) can give number of leaves, number of flowers, number of fruit and weight of fresh fruit higher than compared with the other treatment. However, no significant effect on plant height. Keywords: Tomato varieties of permata, organic herbal fertilizer, dosage ABSTRAK  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi pupuk anorganik dengan pupuk herbal organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat. Penelitian menggunakan percobaan Monofaktor Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikanadalah substitusi pupuk anorganik dengan pupuk herbal organik yaitu 100%+0% (T0); 80%+20% (T1); 60%+40% (T2); (T3) 40%+60% (T3);20%+80% (T4); 0%+100% (T5). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah dan berat buah segar. Data diolah dengan analisis ragam (Uji F) dan uji lanjut denganBeda Nyata Terkecil (BNT).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi pupuk pada perlakuan T3(40% pupuk anorganik + 60% pupuk herbal organik) dapat menghasilkan jumlah daun, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah dan berat segar buah tomat lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan dan toleransi tanaman kedelai akibat pemberian cemaran logam berat besi dengan beberapa konsentrasi dan pemberian pupuk kompos. Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Kasa dan Laboratorium Terpadu BALINGTAN (Balai Penelitian Lingkungan Pertanian) Pati, Jawa Tengah dari bulan September - Desember 2017. Rancangan dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 4x2 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu perlakuan konsentrasi ion logam besi (Fe) 0, 100, 200, 300 ppm, dan perlakuan pemberian pupuk kompos 0 kg dan 1 kg sebagai faktor kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fase pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman dan waktu berbunga) pada perlakuan pemberian kompos (1 kg) memberikan pengaruh lebih baik di bandingkan dengan tanpa pemberian kompos (0 kg) pada berbagai konsentrasi cemaran besi. Tanaman kedelai dengan perlakuan tanpa pemberian kompos (0 kg) pada semua konsentrasi cemaran logam mati pada saat proses pembentukan polong. Perlakuan pemberian kompos 1 kg dapat mempertahankan produksi kedelai pada konsentrasi cemaran besi 100 ppm tetapi mengalami penurunan pada konsentrasi 200 ppm dan 300 ppm, serta pemberian kompos pada cemaran konsentrasi 100?300 ppm belum mampu menurunkan kandungan besi biji tanaman, nilainya masih diatas batas ambang yang diijinkan. Abstract

This research aimed to observe the response of different incubation period and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) based on vegetable and fruit local microorganism on cherry tomato growth and production. This research was conducted at Operational Greenhouse, Balai Benih Pertanian Kota Semarang Gunung Pati, Semarang. The research was conducted by 3x3 factorial experiments with 3 replications. The first factor was 6, 12, 18 days of incubation period and the second factor was 120, 240, 360 ml/plant dosage of LOF. The observed parameters were fruit N uptake, plant height, fruit diameter and fruit fresh weight. Results of study showed that both treatments had no significant effect on fruit diameter and fruit fresh weight caused by lack of P in LOF so that the overall fruit production was not optimum. Interaction between both treatments showed significant effect on fruit N uptake when on short incubation period, the dosage used was higher and vice versa. Six days of incubation with 240 ml/plant dosage gave the highest efficiency on improving fruit N uptake. Incubation period has no significant effect but the dosage of 360 ml/plant significantly gave optimum effect on plant height in comparison with dosage of 120 and 240 ml/plant. This research can be concluded that LOF with 6 days of incubation with dosage used between 240-360 ml/plant was efficient to improve growth of cherry tomato plant and addition of fertilizer was needed to improve production of cherry tomato. Abstract

  Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji respon pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai, produksi dan kualitas kedelai pada tanah yang tercemar logam nikel yang diberi biokompos.Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Kasa dan Laboratorium Terpadu BALINGTAN (Balai Penelitian Lingkungan Pertanian) Pati, Jawa Tengah dari bulan November 2018 ? Februari 2019. Rancangan dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 5 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan.Faktor pertama yaitu perlakuan konsentrasi cemarannikel (Ni) 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 ppm dan faktor kedua yaitu perlakuan dosis biokompos 0 ton/ha, 3,5 ton/ha dan 7ton/ha. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji berganda Duncan (Duncan?s Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa pada tanah yang diberi biokompos kurang dari 7 ton/ha dan semua tingkat cemaran menunjukkan penurunan pertumbuhandan produksi kedelai. Tanah yang diberi biokompos 7 ton/ha pada perlakuan konsentrasi cemaran nikel 25 ppm menghasilkan produksi kedelai (jumlah polong isi) setara atau sama dengan tanah tanpa cemaran nikel. Konsentrasi nikel dalam biji kedelai pada tanah yang tercemar nikel 25 ppm dengan diberi biokompos 7 ton/ha masih berada diatas ambang batas yang diijinkan.
