Abstract

ABSTRACT. Women empowerment is an effort to enhance the capacity of women gaining access and control to economic, politic, social and cultural resources. It is also to strengthen self-development and self-confidence regarding ability to contribute and active participation in the process of decision-making, that reinforce development capability and self-concept. Women headed household empowerment program (Program Pemberdayaan Perempuan Kepala Keluarga ? PEKKA)aims to cope and deal with any potential women headed household problems comprehensively through community organizing, in particular, related to class and gender inequalities in the community.  In order to achieve that objective, the strategy of project management of PEKKA focuses on five pillars, which are participatory, flexibility, mentoring and facilitating, sustainability, and decentralized. This study aims to assess the level of empowerment of women headed household after joining the PEKKA program.  The study employs qualitative approach, which is women headed household as a unit analysis.  Data gathering was through primary and secondary sources.  Primary data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interview, and focus group discussion, meanwhile secondary obtained through project related supportive documents.  The process of analysis data was using data reduction, data arrangement and presentation, interpretation, tentative argument and conclusion, and verification.  The study shows that the significance of the program encouragingly contributes to empowering women headed household through improvement of wellbeing, opens access to resources, increase critical awareness, as well as participation and control.  It is to the greater extent connects to the objective of the program.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the role of husband and wife in terms of division of labor and time spent on productive activities, reproductive and social community on domestic rice farmers in the district of Mila and also to be able to know how access to factors of production, control the husband and wife on productive activity, reproductive and social community on domestic rice farmers in the district of Pidie district Mila. Gender relations can be determined by looking at the ratio of response of husband and wife, as well as the amount of time spent in each activity. The study was conducted in the village of Pulo Tanjong Mila districts by considering that the greater part of people both men and women farmers. The discussion outlined using a quantitative approach to perform tabulations on the results of respondents' answers will then be described to explain the data obtained in the field. The results showed the division of labor and spent of the time on more productive activities performed by the husband (113 hours) and wife (105 hours), the wife of reproductive activities dominate (10.28 hours) while the husband (2.82 hours), social activities community with almost the same number of division of labor and complementarity, husband (8.35 hours) and wife (7.46 hours). Husband had access to factors of production greater than the wife. In terms of controls on the husband's decision also have more control grows in farming, while the reproductive and social activities wife would dominate decision making.

Abstract

The emerging paradigm of participatory development communication emphasizes participation andinvolvement from planning to decision-making process. PEKKA promotes the concept trough bottomupinitiative including planning, implementation and project evaluation. This study aims to investigateprocess of participatory development communication by PEKKA and economic empowerment ofwomen household. The research employs a case study of Desa Dayah Tanoh, Kecamatan MutiaraTimur, Kabupaten Pidie, Aceh Province. Data gathering was through fieldwork and in-depthinterviews in April-May 2012. The research finds that PEKKA’s approach provides an equalopportunity and access to the beneficiaries by using monologue, dialogue and combination of bothchannels. Several factors such as age, education, occupation, marital status, number of familydependent, family support, institutional support and role of field assistant contribute to efficacy ofparticipatory communication. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the strategy is a factor of successful ofthe project that is women economic empowerment.

Abstract

This research was aimed at determining the number of sheds required by palm sugar craftsmen and the contribution of making them to the efficiency of labors and the income level of palm sugar craftsmen in Pining Sub-district, Gayo Lues Regency. The result of the research showed that the palm sugar craftsmen in Pining Sub-district, Gayo Regency required 5 unit sheds. From the calculation result by doing multiple linear regression analysis, it was got the level of efficiency in the use of the labors before existing the sheds was < 1 namely 0.05. It showed that the use of the labors was not efficient, then the level efficiency of the use of the labor was > 1 namely 1.81. It indicated that the rate of the labors was almost efficient and could be added again so that it became efficient. The average income of the craftsmen was higher if there were the sheds namely in the amount of Rp.926. 444, - than if there were no the sheds namely only in the amount of Rp 383. 968, -.

Abstract

Abstrak. Usahatani adalah suatu bidang tanah dimana seorang petani, keluarga tani atau badan usaha lainnya bercocok tanam atau memelihara padi varietas sigupai. Produksi pertanian mengusahakan masukan untuk menghasilkan keluar masuknya segala sesuau yang diikutsertakan didalam proses produksi seperti benih, pupuk, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja.Provinsi Aceh merupakan salah satu provinsi yang banyak mengkonsumsi beras.Blangpidie merupakan salah satu kabupaten/kota yang menanam padi varietas sigupai yang aktif setiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Blangpidie, objek dalam penelitian ini adalah petani padi varietas sigupai yang berperan sebagai pedagang pengecer beras sigupai.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Accidental Samplingmerupakan teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan dengan mengambil responden yang kebetulan ada atau tersedia di suatu tempat sesuai dengan objek penelitian, metode analisis secara deskriprtif kualititatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani padi varietas sigupai langsung menjadi pedagang pengecer di lokasi penelitian.ANALYSIS OF RICE GYM VARIETY AND ITS MARKETING SYSTEM IN BLANGPIDIE DISTRICT, ACEH BARAT DAYA DISTRICT(Sigupai variety rice farming and marketing channels)Abstrak.Farming is a land field where a farmer, family farmer or other business entity grows crops or maintains sigupai variety rice. Agricultural production seeks input to produce the entry and exit of everything that is included in the production process such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and labor. Aceh Province is one of the provinces that consume a lot of rice. Blangpidie is one of the regencies / cities that plant sigupai varieties that are active every year. This research was conducted in Blangpidie Subdistrict, the object in this study was sigupai variety rice farmers who acted as sigupai rice retailers. Sampling was done by Accidental Sampling technique which was a sampling technique that was carried out by taking respondents who happened to be available or available somewhere according object of research, descriptive qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the variety sigupai rice farmers immediately became retailers at the research location.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. One way to improve the productivity of smallholder plantations are mainly located in dry land is the cropping pattern of intercropping. Intercropping ensure the success of planting face uncertain climate, pests and disease, as well as price fluctuation. The purpose of this research was to determine differences in the income of farmers and land productivity in defferent cacao intercropping planting patterns on cocoa farms in the district Geulumpang Tiga. Sample in this study is 52 people were taken by Proportioned Statified Random Sampling. The method used is the analysis of profitability and productivity of cocoa plantations. Based on the analysis results obtained that the cropping pattern V has the highest income in the amount of Rp 9.508.511 per hectare per year. While the productivity of cacao plantations are highest in the cropping pattern V in the amount of 427 kg/ha/year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi numerasi budaya suku Kowai Kabupaten Kaimana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan jenis penelitian etnografi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa literasi numerasi pada suku Kowai yang digunakan oleh masyarakat ketika menggunakan sistem bilangan yang unik. Keunikannya adalah bahwa masyarakat menggunakan sistem bilangan dasar satuan 1-5, dan menggunakan sistem bilangan dasar puluhan 10-50 yang digunakan untuk membilang bilangan selanjutnya.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Pemasaran merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan pertanian karena dengan proses pemasaran petani dapat memperoleh hasil dan keuntungan dari kegiatan pertanian yang telah dilakukan. Namun demikian, permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh petani adalah fluktuasi harga yang tidak menentu terhadap komoditas suatu produk secara umum dan khususnya juga kentang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi saluran pemasaran kentang dan mengetahui fungsi lembaga pemasaran kentang yang terlibat di Kecamatan Bukit Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Bukit yang menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan pencatatan. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskritif dengan mendiskripsikan saluran pemasaran yang ada di Kecamatan Bukit Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Hasil  menunjukkan bahwa ketiga saluran kentang yang terdapat di Kecamatan Bukit Kabupaten Bener Meriah dapat dinyatakan mempunyai tingkat efisiensi yang bervariasi, yakni tinggi mencapai 45,00%, sedang yaitu 42,27% dan rendah yaitu 37,92%. Tetapi dari ketiga saluran tersebut yang paling tinggi efesiensi pemasarannya adalah saluran pemasaran I dengan farmers share tertinggi yaitu 45,00%. Lembaga pemasaran kentang di Kecamatan Bukit Kabupaten Bener Meriah yaitu petani, pedagang pengumpul kecamatan, pedagang pengumpul desa, pedagang besar, pedagang besar luar daerah dan pedagang pengecer. Kesemuanya menjalankan fungsi pemasarannya masing-masing, yakni melakukan penjualan, pembelian, sortasi, pengemasan dan pengangkutan hingga sampai ke tangan konsumen. Analysis Of Potato Marketing In Bukit District Of Bener Meriah Regency ABSTRACT. Marketing is one of important factors in agricultural activity because by the marketing process the farmers are capable to obtain the yields and the benefits from agricultural activity which has been done. However, the problems that frequently faced by the farmers is an erratic price fluctuation towards commodity of a product generally and also the potato specifically. The research objective is to find out the eficiency level of potato marketing line and discover the function of potato marketing institution which involved in Bukit District of Bener Meriah Regency. This study was conducted in Bukit District by using qualitative method and the data was collected by interview, observation and recording. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis method by describing the marketing channel where exist in Bukit District of Bener Meriah Regency.  The result shown that the three potato channels contained in Bukit District of Bener Meriah Regency is can be vowed has a varies eficiency level, that are the high is reaching 45,00%, medium is 42,27% and low is 37,92%.Yet from those three channels, the highest marketing eficiency is the marketing line I with the supreme farmer’s share is 45,00%. The marketing institute of potato marketing in Bukit District of Bener Meriah Regency are husbandman, district collector merchant, village collector merchant, great trader, traider of outside area and retailer. These entire are running the each marketing function, that are doing selling, buying, sorting, packaging and transporting up to consumer.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi rantai pasok pada PT. Aryazzka Indoputra serta merumuskan strategi alternatif untuk perkembangan PT.Aryazzka Indoputra. Berdasarkan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan kerangka kerja yang di modofikasi oleh Vorst, hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa kondisi manajemen ratai pasok pada PT. Aryazzka Indoputra dalam tahapan perkembangan. Hasil analisis FSCM menggambarkan struktur jaringan, manajemen rantai, proses bisnis, dan kinerja rantai pasok, dalam tahapan berkembang dan berjalan dengan baik, akan tetapi kondisi sumberdaya manusia, sumberdaya fisik, sumberdaya teknologi, dan sumberdaya modal yang dimiliki oleh PT. Aryazzka Indoputra masih perlu dibenahi dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil matrik IFE dengan total nilai sebesar 3,079 dan pada matrik EFE memilki total nilai sebesar 3,528 diperoleh gambaran posisi rantai pasok saat ini dalam pemetaan kuadran matrik IE menetapi posisi dalam bagian sel I. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa rantai pasok udang vaname berada pada posisi Growth, yang merupakan strategi memfokuskan perusahaan dalam suatu lini yang telah menjadi pilihan perusahaan untuk dikembangkan. Perumusan strategi rantai pasok untuk PT. Aryazzka Indoputra berdasarkan analisis IFE, EFE, IE, dan SWOT, dan QSPM, mendapatkan beberapa strategi yang menarik, strategi yang sangat menarik merupakan strategi (W dan T), yaitu : Mempererat hubungan kerjasama antara perusahaan dengan SDM yang ada, dan mempererat hubungan kerjasama anatara setiap anggota rantai pasok yang terlibat. Guna menyatukan seluruh anggota rantai pasok sehingga produk yang dihasilkan dan didistribusikan dengan waktu yang tepat, jumlah yang tepat sehingga dapat meminimalisir harga dan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen lokal dan luar negeri.Supply Chain Strategy Vanname Shrimp Study Cases in PT. Aryazzka Indoputra Kabupaten Aceh BesarAbstract The purpose of this study is to identify supply chain at PT. Aryazzka Indoputra and formulate alternative strategies for the development of  PT.Aryazzka Indoputra. Based on qualitative descriptive analytical method using framework modified by Vorst, the result of research shows that the condition of management of supply at PT. Aryazzka Indoputra in the development stage. FSCM analysis results describe the network structure, chain management, business process, and supply chain performance, in the stage of developing and running well, but the condition of human resources, physical resources, technological resources, and capital resources owned by PT. Aryazzka Indoputra still needs to be improved. Based on the IFE matrix results with a total value of 3,079 and in the EFE matrix having a total value of 3.528 the current supply chain position description in the IE quadrant matrix mapping resides in the cell position I. This illustrates that the vanname shrimp supply chain is in the Growth position, which is a strategy of focusing the company in a line that has become the company's choice to be developed. The formulation of supply chain strategy for PT. Aryazzka Indopura based on the analysis of IFE, EFE, IE, and SWOT, and QSPM, get some interesting strategy, a strategy that is very interesting is the strategy (W and T), namely: Strengthening partnerships between companies with existing HUMAN RESOURCES, and strengthening of relations of cooperation between all members of the supply chain involved. In order to unite all members of the supply chain so that products that are produced and distributed in a timely manner, the right amount so as to minimize the price and can meet the needs of local and overseas consumers.

Abstract

Abstrak : Harga jual merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap petani, salah satunya yaitu tingkat pendapatan yang di peroleh oleh para petani, yang selanjutnya akan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi dan produktivitas kerja dari para petani. Saluran pemasaran yang terlalu panjang, dan kebijakan harga yang tidak memihak pada petani mengakibatkan keuntungan yang di peroleh oleh petani sangat sedikit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi harga jual kedelai tingkat petani di Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap harga jual kedelai tingkat petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen, Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja (purposive). Ruang lingkup penelitian ini terbatas pada faktor tingkat produksi, kualitas, penanganan pascapanen dan saluran distribusi pemasaran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang yang diambil dari tiga desa tersebut yaitu desa Cot Kruet, Pinto Rimba, Ara Bungong. Sedangkan besarnya sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 15% dari total populasi penelitian. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah fungsi linier berganda. Hasil analisis koefisiensi determinasi ( R² ) diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,827 yang berarti bahwa tingkat produksi, kualitas, penanganan pascapanen, dan saluran ditribusi pemasaran mempengaruhi harga jual kedelai sebesar 82,7%, sedangkan sisanya 17,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Hasil analisis secara serempak (uji-f) bahwa tingkat produksi, Kualitas, Penanganan pascapanen, dan saluran distribusi pemasaran berpengaruh nyata terhapap harga jual kedelai tingkat petani di Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen. Analisis secara parsial (uji-t) menyatakan bahwa faktor kualitas dan penanganan pascapanen yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap harga jual kedelai tingkat petani.Analysis Factors Affecting The Selling Price Soybean Level Farmer in Central Production in Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen.Abstract : The selling price is one factor that would influence the farmers, one of them is income levels in get the farmers, which later will have an influence to motivation and labor productivity from farmers. Marketing outlets is too long, and policy the price of being impartial the farmers resulting in an advantage in get by farmers very few. The purpose of this study is to find of factors affect the selling price of soybean the farm gate in Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten bireuen. Based on it, the study is done to find out what factors had an influence on the selling price of soybean farm gate. The study is done in Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen, the research areas was selected deliberately (purposive). Scope this research limited to factors production level, the quality of, post-harvest handling of crops and distribution channels marketing. Population in this study as many as 30 people who is taken from the three the village the village Cot Kruet, Pinto Rimba, Ara Bungong. The amount of sample used in this research was 15 % of the total number of research. Model the analysis used is a function linear multiple.The results of the analysis koefisiensi determination ( R2 ) obtained value of 0,827 which means that production level, the quality, post-harvest handling of crops, and channels ditribusi marketing affect the selling price soybean of 82.7 %, while the rest 17.3 % influenced by other factors. The results of the analysis in unison ( uji-f ) that production level, the quality, post-harvest handling of crops, marketing and distribution channels may had have real impact against the selling price soybean the farm gate in Kecamatan Peudada Kabupaten Bireuen. Analysis in partial ( uji-t ) said that factors the quality and post-harvest handling of crops who had have real impact on the selling price soybean the farm gate.
