This study aimed to describe the management of Biological Laboratory at MAN in Banjarmasin; and measures needs assessment conducted to make a representative Biology Laboratory at MAN in Banjarmasin. The field research (field research) is carried out with a qualitative descriptive approach, so that the depiction of the factual reality on the ground can be compared with the criteria or standards established in theory. The results showed that: (1) MAN Biological Laboratory in Banjarmasin already managed the planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring; (2) Biological Laboratory MAN 1 and MAN 3 still managed together with the science laboratory the other because there is no special room, but the manager and the different administrations, whereas Biology Laboratory MAN 2 has been implemented in particular, because it already has the space as Service Standards minimal (SPM) SMA / MA; (3) Needs assessment has been carried out in accordance manager assessment steps, although it has not been made in writing in accordance analysis of the context of school infrastructure, so it is not maximized in the fulfillment of biology laboratory.Keywords : needs assessment, biology laboratorium, MAN

Pendidikan sebagai salah satu kebutuhan dan tututan masyarakat diharapkan mampu mewujudkan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya yang berkualitas. Pendidikan secara formal diselenggarakan di sekolah dan madrasah, hal ini berarti madrasah merupakan salah satu organisasi untuk mewujudkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Efektivitas organisasi merupakan tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan manajemen dalam usaha mencapai tujuan atau sasaran yang telah diprogramkan. Di antara faktor yang menentukan dan terlibat dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan di madrasah yaitu pengawas, kepala madrasah dan guru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional, yang menjadi populasi adalah guru-guru Madrasah Aliyah se Kota Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 228 orang, termasuk di dalamnya kepala madrasah. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling dengan jumlah 144 orang. Kata Kunci:     Perilaku pengawas, keterampilan manajerial, motivasi berprestasi, efektivitas organisasi

Children are the next generations who have strategic roles on ensuring our nation’s existence. To accomplish it, children need to grow and develop naturally. On the other side, not all of the need can be accomplished; there is still much violence happen on child directed by an adult. There are many cases unveiled because of assumption that is not violence. Even in some society, child abuse is assumed as common because it constitute as cultural norms penalizing child. Islamic education concept is not just an effort to educate intellectually, but it is go with Islamic concept on human and his existence. Therefore, Islamic education as social norms is related with Islam concept on human existence. Islamic education sought to increase understanding and awareness on human equality in the sight of God. Things that make a difference are his or her devoutness. Islamic education is an effort to direct deliberately children development on Islamic values.

This study aimed to describe the principals role in improving the competence of Islamic Education Teachers in SMA Negeri 3 Sampit. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, with information from the Principal, Vice Principal, Head of Administration, Islamic Religious Teacher, Student Council, and the School Committee. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The study found that in order to improve the competence of Islamic Education Teachers in SMA Negeri 3 Sampit, Principal maximize its role as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator (EMASLIM), it resulted in increased competence paedagogik, personal competence, professional competence and social competence Islamic Education Teachers. While the efforts of Principal in improving the competence of Islamic Education Teachers include: (a) businesses in the school environment such as conducting in-house training (IHT), lifting the Islamic Education Teachers as Vice Principal, and involve Islamic Education Teachers in every activity school; and (b) venture beyond the school environment such as assigning Islamic Education Teachers participated in the training and upgrading as well as seminars, involving Islamic Education Teachers in the race outstanding teachers, and support the Islamic Education Teachers became Chairman of PAI MGMPs

The success of student learning in the classroom, in addition to the factors affecting learning, influenced by factors of class management. Management classes include child discipline management, socio-emotional climate of the classroom, classroom social climate, and the physical condition of class. Classroom management aims to create a classroom climate conducive to ease the childs learning. For that, they need the skills of teachers in classroom management is good. Many of the problems challenging classes derived from the class itself. Therefore required a format appropriate solutions, systematic and well-planned.
