Abstract

Beliefs and pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) are two factors influencing teaching practice in the classroom. This research aims to describe the beliefs and PCK of the prospective mathematics teachers and the relationship between the two factors on the teaching practices in the mathematics classroom. Participant in this research includes a prospective teacher who has taken a micro teaching subject and has good communication skill. Data were collected through interview and video analysis on the teaching practice in the classroom. The data obtained were coded, simplified, presented, and triangulated for the credibility and concluded. The result of the research shows that the prospective teachers who hold a constructivist belief view mathematics as a dynamic knowledge which evolves and is regarded as the space of creation for humans. Their beliefs on the nature of mathematics support the belief in the teaching-learning process in mathematics classrooms. Furthermore, a good understanding of the prospective teachers have on the components of the PCK has been sufficient, which can be identified in every step of practical activities in the classroom. More elaboration on the relationship between the belief and PCK is presented in this research.

Abstract

The most common hypertension is essential hypertention influenced by genetic factors. Autonomicic nervous activity is influenced by several factors including genetic. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family history of hypertension and autonomic nervous system activity. In this observational analytic cross sectional study, out of 124 a students of the Medical Faculty, University Islam Sultan Agung Semarang 44 students were included using simple stratified method consisting of 22 men and 22 women aged over 20 years. The subjects were asked for family history of hypertension, orthostatic and valsalva examination. 25 students (56.8%) had a family history of hypertension and experienced imbalance of autonomic nervous activity. Out of 19 students (43.2%) without a history of hypertension, 10 people (22.7%) had a balance of autonomic nervous system activity and 9 people (20.5%) experienced imbalance of autonomic nervous system activity. Fisher correlation test results showed a significant association (p < 0.05) and correlation test of Lamda resulted in p value of 0.100, indicating a very week positive correlation. The study concludes that there was a correlation between a family history of hypertension and on autonomic nervous system activity with a very weak relationship.

Abstract

This Understanding the concept is the ability of students to understand a mathematical meaning both in theory and its application in solving problems based on the formation of their own knowledge, not just memorizing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the understanding of students' concepts in the material logarithm class x in terms of mathematical abilities. This research is descriptive qualitative research conducted at SMK N 5 Semarang, with research subjects in class X TP 1. To be able to know the understanding of concepts in students it is done by giving a test that includes seven indicators of mathematical abilities namely understanding, solving problems, connections, communication, reasoning, critical thinking, and creative thinking. The stages carried out consisted of three phases, namely: giving a test of mathematical ability, giving a concept understanding test, and interviewing. From the results of the study using triangulation methods, namely by comparing the results of tests of mathematical understanding in writing with the interview test. The results of qualitative analysis show that: (1) students with TKA mathematical abilities can understand the concept by defining logarithms using writing and symbols, can mention and apply logarithmic properties, can transform logarization forms into exponent forms, can compare examples and not logarithmic examples. (2) students with mathematical skills TKC mathematical abilities can understand the concept by defining logarithms with writing and symbols, changing the shape of logarithms to exponent forms, can only apply logarithmic properties to addition and subtraction, can only compare examples and not just 2. logarithms. (4) students with TKE mathematical abilities can understand the concept by defining logarithms using symbols, can only apply the logarithmic properties of addition and subtraction but cannot specify the properties, can only mention examples and not examples of logarithms 1.

Abstract

The reseach was intended to discover the contribution the managerial of capability and stlye of leadership on teacher of kinerja. The research uses a quantitative method with sampling probability sampling technique with a sample of 33 people in Junior High School districts North of Kotabumi districts North of Lampung. The results showed a contribution of between managerial ability and leadership style of principals on teacher performance. This means that the ability of managerial and leadership styles have a significant contribution to the performance of teachers either partially or tested together.

Abstract

The results of English learning in class XI TKJ , at SMKN2 Blitar, based on an observation made by the English teacher in the class, shows that (1) English learning has referred to a theoretical approach that focuses on teacher (2) the students are lack of practicing, they tend to learn by memorizing concepts; (3) The students in defining a concept tend to be the same as the textbook; (4) the learning process is done by lecturing, question and answer, and doing assignments&nbsp; and it?s less interesting (5) The average results of formative &nbsp;test on "giving opinion and argument"&nbsp; with multiple choice question is 64.34; (6) students assume that English &nbsp;is difficult. This research is a classroom action research through "Problem Solving model". The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of class XI TKJ students at SMK Negeri 2 Blitar in the third semester &nbsp;2018. The action reseach has been carried out with 2 cycles. The first Cycle was on August 13, 20 and 30 and the second Cycle &nbsp;was on September 10 and 17, 2018. The results showed that in the first cycle, there was an increase in learning outcomes, the average value of the first cycle before the action was 64.86 and after the action became 72.71, an increase of 8%, and the number of students who reached the passing grade before the action was 15 students (42.85%) and after the action it increased to 20 (57.14%). In the second cycle, the average value before the action was 71.43 and after the action it became 78.29, an increase of 7%. The number of students who reached the passing grade before the action was 25 students (71.42%) and after the action, it increased to 30 (85.71%). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that learning through the "Problem Solving Model" can improve the learning outcomes of students on giving opinion and argument material and can be tried on other materials

Abstract

Abstract: This  study  aim  to  describe  the  students’  thinking  process  of  9th  grade  of  Junior High School has a high mathematics capability in solving the mathematics problem based on Polya rule. This  study  is  qualitative  descriptive  research.  The  criteria  of  subject  selection included the students’ has a high mathematics capability and communication fluency both spoken  and  written.  The  data  collection  was  done  using  written  test  and  task-based interview  techniques.  Data  analysis  done  based  on  written  test  data  and  task-based interview techniques data. And then it has been done the method triangulation to get valid subject data.  Finally,  the  result  of  description  thinking  process  as  follows:  students  with  high mathematics  capability,  in  understanding  problem  using  assimilation  thinking  process, make  a  plan  using  assimilation  and  accommodation  thinking  process.  Assimilation thinking process can be identified when the students can mention the prerequisite material, can directly relate the sides kite (BF = FG) and can directly develop problem solving plan. Meanwhile,  accommodation  thinking  process  can  be  seen  when  the  students  drew  an auxiliary  line  from  E  to  the  right  thereby  intersecting  with  CD  line  (the  intersection  was labeled  H  point),  so  devided  trapezoid  AEDG  become  right  triangle  EHG  and  rectangle AEHD. In carrying out a plan and in looking back at the completed solution, the students used assimilation thinking process. Keywords: thinking process, mathematics problem, and problem solving.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan permainan matematika berupa teka-teki silang(TTS). Perangkat yang dihasilkan meliputi silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP),media pembelajaran berbasis permainan, lembar kerja siswa, assessment serta mengujiefektifitas implementasinya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan denganujicoba terbatas dilakukan di SMP N 2 Mranggen. Analisis data menggunakan metode mixmethod, yaitu analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang dilakukan secara simultan,kemudian dilakukan triangulasi data sehingga diperoleh data yang valid. Hasil validasiterhadap permainan dan perangkat yang dikembangkan adalah valid dan layak digunakandengan sedikit revisi. Lebih lanjut, berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian disimpulkanbahwa kategori kemampuan guru dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa danrespon siswa terhadap penerapan permainan dalam pembelajaran pada kategori baik. Lebihlanjut, berdasarkan hasil analisis uji perbandingan diperoleh t 9,455 t 1,345 hitung tabel   sehingga rataan hasil posttest lebih baik dibandingkan hasil pretest dan peningkatan hasilbelajar siswa melalui penerapan permainan matematika dalam kategori sedang dengan nilaiN-gain = 0,6563.Kata Kunci: Permainan, Teka-Teki Silang, Perangkat PembelajaranThe purpose of this study was to develop a mathematical game in the form of crosswordpuzzles (TTS). The device includes syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), game-based learning media,student worksheets, assessment and the effectiveness test of its implementation. This type ofresearch was the development of research with limited test conducted at SMP N 2 Mranggen.Data analysis using mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative data analysis were donesimultaneously, then the triangulation of data in order to obtain valid data. The results of thevalidation of the games and devices developed was valid and fit for use with minimalrevision. Furthermore, based on data analysis of the study concluded that the ability ofteachers in the management of learning, student activities and students response to theapplication of games in learning in good categories. Furthermore, based on the analysis ofcomparative test results obtained so that the average post-test better than the results of pretestand improving student learning outcomes through the application of mathematical game inthe medium category with a value of N-gain = 0.6563.Keywords: Games, Puzzle, Learning Device

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pesatnya kemajuan dan perkembangan Kabupaten Pringsewu memicu perkembangan tingkat penggunaan dan penurunan ketersediaan pangan beras. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengidentifikasi struktur pusat pertumbuhan di Kabupaten Pringsewu, (2) menganalisis pengaruh pusat pertumbuhan terhadap konversi lahan dan (3) menganalisis pengaruh konversi lahan terhadap ketahanan pangan di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Metode pengambilan data adalah survei instansioner, sedangkan tekhnik analisis data menggunakan skoring, klasifikasi dan analisis skalogram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi desa pusat pertumbuhan dan hinterland-nya yaitu 2 desa teridentifikasi sebagai pusat pertumbuhan (hirarki I) dan 15 desa sebagai hinterland-nya (hirarki II). Wilayah pusat pertumbuhan dan pinggiran menjadi wilayah dengan tingkat konversi tinggi sampai sedang, sedangkan konversi lahan sawah dengan tingkat rendah di dominasi oleh desa dalam hirarki III. Laju konversi yang terjadi berpengaruh terhadap luas tanam, luas panen dan produksi padi sawah  di Kabupaten Pringsewu. ABSTRACT The rapid progress and development of Pringsewu district trigger the development of land use and the decline in availability of food rice. The aims of this study is (1) to identify the structure of the growth center in the Pringsewu District, (2) analyze the effect of the growth center to the land conversion and (3) analyze the effect of the conversion of land to food security in the Pringsewu District. The data taked by  survey method, while the analysis techniques  of data using scoring, classification and analysis scalogram. The results showed the  distribution of rural growth centers and its hinterland are two villages identified as a growth center (hierarchy I) and 15 villages as its hinterland (hierarchy II). The region of growth center and its hinterland are a high levels of conversion area and moderate, while the conversion with low levels is dominated by the villages in hierarchy III. The rate of conversion that occurs affects the planting area, harvested area and production of paddy rice.

Abstract

Tujuan program ini adalah mengembangkan model pelatihan kewirausahaan yang cocok mahasiswa dan menciptakan wirausaha baru yang mandiri berbasis ipteks yang siap beraktivitas di masyarakat. Pelatihan kewirausahaan  didesain 3-Box yang dilaksanakan secara bertahap meliputi: tahapan pertama, mahasiswa diberikan bekal pengetahuan tentang Entreprenuership, Change Mindset and Paradigm Entreprenuership, Inspirasi, Kreativitas dan Ide Usaha, Membuat Usaha dan Kualitas konsep usaha. Pada tahapan kedua, aktivitas belajar difokuskan pada upaya peningkatan pemahaman terhadap realitas dunia usaha dengan melalui pengkajian kasus yang terjadi atau berlaku di dunia usaha. Pada tahap ketiga, mengadakan evaluasi proses pelatihan. Evaluasi ini akan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk presentasi revisi desain usaha yang akan dilaksanakan setelah mendapatkan materi pada tahap pertama dan tahap kedua. Program ini telah melahirkan wirausaha mandiri, meliputi: Bimbel BEE, Pin dan Name Tag, Usaha pangsit, Bantal Karakter Handmate, Cappucino Cincau dan Chocolate, dan budidaya burung kenari.
