Abstract

Abstract: Enterprise application and improvement of character education is necessary to answer all the problems that occur on these days, especially against the challenges of globalization that is pervasive in almost all areas of life and supported by the progress of information and communication technology. If no steps are taken in anticipation, our nation will gradually lose their national identity as a nation that has a variety of noble values. The main purpose of this research is to improve the character of students through the application of martial arts-based learning model character. The method used is the method quasi experiment pretest and posttest group design. The results obtained inter alia, that the application of martial arts-based learning model can improve the character of the character of elementary school students significantly. This means that there are significant differences between the average value of the character of students before and after implementation of the model-based learning martial arts characters. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the model-based martial arts can enhance the character of students with significant character.Keywords: Pencak Silat, Character Education, Elementary School Students Abstrak: Usaha penerapan dan peningkatan pendidikan karakter sangat diperlukan untuk menjawab segala permasalahan yang terjadi pada dewasa ini terutama terhadap tantangan globalisasi yang merambah di hampir seluruh bidang kehidupan dan ditunjang oleh perkembangan kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Jika tidak dilakukan langkah-langkah antisipasi, bangsa kita akan sedikit demi sedikit kehilangan jati diri bangsa sebagai bangsa yang memiliki berbagai nilai luhur. Adapun tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan karakter siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran pencak silat berbasis karakter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasieksperimen pretest and postest group design. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh antara lain bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pencak silat berbasis karakter dapat meningkatkan karakter siswa sekolah dasar secara signifikan. Artinya bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata nilai karakter siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajar pencak silat berbasis karakter. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pencak silat berbasis karakter dapat meningkatkan karakter siswanya dengan signifikan.Kata Kunci :Pencak Silat, Pendidikan Karakter, Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

National education is still experiencing difficulties in producing quality graduates, skilled, and creative that can serve as a driving source in various fields of development. And outputs the result of education is often a burden on the government to meet their needs for social services, employment, subsidies, and the like. They pass and emerge as new citizens who are not able to offer a solution, but rather a source of trouble and anxiety community. One source of problems in education is still weak education that can cultivate the essential values of humanity. Where today there has been a separation between "intellectual education" with "educational value". This dichotomy shows the smallness of the mind, because the moral value is not different from the intellectual dimension, but is the foundation for intellectual growth. It is necessary for the implementation of a curriculum that is based on the improvement of the competence-based character education aside from it in the process of implementation should be in accordance with how to implement character education. In this case the assessed curriculum is the curriculum in 2013. Keywords: character education, curriculum 2013, educational value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendidikan nilai pada pendidikan jasmani. Selama ini terkesan pendidikan jasmani kering dari nilai. Mahasiswa PGSD Penjas merupakan calon guru pendidikan jasmani di SD yang harus dibekali dengan nilai-nilai keshalehan sosial mengingat mereka adalah calon guru yang akan langsung mentransformasikan nilai kepada peserta didik di SD. Bekal ini diberikan melalui perkuliahan pembelajaran dan aktivitas senam dan ritmik II.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap nilai-nilai kesalehan sosial pada mata kuliah pembelajaran dan aktivitas senam ritmik II. Pendekatan dan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pedoman observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan analisis data diperolehan hasil bahwa 1) Mata kuliah pembelajaran dan aktivitas senam ritmik II telah menerapkan nilai-nilai kesalehan sosial dengan baik sekali berupa nilai disiplin, nilai religius, nilai tanggung jawab, nilai sportivitas, nilai saling menghargai, nilai kejujuran, nilai kerja keras, nilai kreatif, nilai kebersamaan, nilai komunikatif/bersahabat, nilai tidak mudah menyerah, dan nilai kemandirian, 2) Kinerja dosen pada mata kuliah pembelajaran dan aktivitas senam ritmik II adalah baik, 3) Keberhasilan proses perkuliahan bermuatan nilai kesalehan sosial ini berimplikasi pada terjadinya proses pembelajaran penjas di SD yang bermuatan nilai dan menghasilkan siswa SD yang bermuatan nilai kesalehan sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga terhadap perkembangan life skills siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan model quasi-eksperimental design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 50 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam tiga kelompok, yaitu: Kelompok ekstrakurikuler olahraga bola voli yang diberi perlakuan sebanyak 18 siswa laki-laki dan sembilan siswa perempuan (kelompok A); Kelompok ekstrakurikuler olahraga bola voli yang tidak diberi perlakuan sebanyak 16 siswa laki-laki dan tujuh siswa perempuan (kelompok B). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Terdapat perbedaan perkembangan life skills antara siswa kelompok A dengan kelompok B (t hitung = 4,90 lebih besar dari pada t tabel = 2,01. Disamping itu manakala gain score yang menjadi indikator pengolahan dan analisis data, maka perolehan life skills siswa kelompok A lebih baik dari pada perolehan life skills kelompok siswa B (t hitung = 13,94 lebih besar dari pada t tabel = 2,01). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan perkembangan life skill siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga bola voli yang diintegrasikan dengan komponen life skill lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan perkembangan life skill siswa menengah atas yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga bola voli tanpa integrasi komponen life skill dalam programnya. Perkembangan life skill siswa ini dapat diimplementasikan didalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa sehingga dapat digunakan untuk menghadapi kebutuhan dan tantangan kehidupannya sesuai dengan manfaat life skill.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the effect of practical self-defense learning on elementary school students’ self-efficacy. The method used was the experimental research method. The research design used was Randomized Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire. The research location was located in Sumedang. The population is 4, 5, and 6 grade students in elementary school. The results showed that practical self-defense learning had a positive effect on students' self-efficacy; the students who received self-defense learning and had the concept of practical self-defense understanding showed better self-efficacy results compared to students who did not get learning and understanding of the concept of practical self-defense. However, the results of self-efficacy testing on female students did not experience a significant increase. Age in female students seems to be a determinant factor in the results of the test that had been conducted.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari programpermainan motor cognitive coordination training terhadap motor coordination danworking memory. Metode penelitian ekperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest controlgroup design digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwaprogram latihan motor cognitive coordination training memiliki pengaruh yangsignifikan terhadap motor coordination dan working memory pada atlet junior.Selanjutnya pelatih menggunakan program latihan motor cognitive coordinationtraining untuk meningkatkan performa motor skill dan cognitive skill pada atlet junior.The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of the motor cognitive coordination training program on coordination motors and working memory. The experimental research method with the design of the pretest-posttest control group design was used in this study. The results showed that the coordination training cognitive-motor training program had a significant effect on coordination motors and working memory in junior athletes. Furthermore, the trainers used the cognitive training coordination training program to improve the performance of motor skills and cognitive skills in junior athletes.

Abstract

Physical Education (PE) in elementary schools has so far been extensively geared towards achieving character goals. However, not all of these goals have been well accomplished by teachers. This research aims to examine three fundamental issues in PE practice, i.e., to define PE teachers perceptions of character education, to identify problems of PE teachers in promoting character education, and to determine whether PE teachers consider character education is plausible to be implemented through PE activities. This study used a case study and a content analysis in the qualitative research method. The data were obtained from 53 PE teachers who worked in 53 elementary schools from 26 sub-districts in Sumedang Regency through an accessible case sampling method. This study employed individual interviews (10-15 minutes) in a semi-structured interview technique. Content analysis was used to analyze the interview scripts. This study revealed that character education is defined as the process of individual alteration from family, school, and social life. Meanwhile, the teachers stated that the curriculum is considered to be not precisely accessible for the development of character education since they were still confused about curriculum implementation. However, they believed that PE is effective to promote character education.
