Abstract

The process of spontaneous labor is sensitive to the oxytocin hormone that causes uterine smooth muscle contraction as a receptor for the start of labor. Dates contains source of carbohydrates are simple sugars, iron, potassium, selenium, calcium, and flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of date’s extracts (Phoenix dactilifera L) to the oxytocin hormone day 19 of gestation age of mice (Mus musculus L). This experiment devide dose of date extract into four groups, group I : control (no treatment), group II: 3 dates (3.12 mg/kg), group III 5 dates (5.2 mg/kg), and group IV 7 dates (7.28 mg/kg) to the oxytocin hormone. The research method is done by extracting palm ajwa with methanol. Treat made orally at the age of 14-19 days gestation. Measurement of oxytocin levels using ELISA at the age of pregnancy 19 days, showed the average number of levels of the oxytocin hormone in group I in the amount of 126.494 ng / L, the second group is equal to 124.169 ng / L, group III amounting to 129.041 ng / L, and group IV is equal to 132.252 ng / L. Overall extract dates with various doses of the treatment led to increased levels of the oxytocin hormone in mice. However, these increases did not show a significant effect, although the hormones oxytocin on uterine tissue of mice kept rising.

Abstract

AbstrakSenyawa radikal dalam tubuh sangat reaktif terhadap sel-sel, sehingga dapat menyebabkan berbagai penyakit. Senyawa yang mampu menangkal radikal bebas disebut antioksidan. Bawang hitam diketahui mengandung senyawa aktif fenolik dan turunannya sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian tentang penggunaan bawang hitam sebagai antioksidan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan waktu pemanasan (15, 25, dan 35 hari) terhadap aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak bawang hitam. Bawang hitam diperoleh dengan cara memanaskan bawang putih selama 15, 25, dan 35 hari. Bawang hitam selanjutnya diekstraksi dengan pelarut metanol dengan metode maserasi. Filtrat hasil ekstraksi dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator untuk mendapatkan ekstrak bawang hitam. Ekstrak bawang hitam diuji fitokimia untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa aktif. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak bawang hitam ditentukan dengan metode penangkalan radikal 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Hasilnya menunjukkan ekstrak bawang hitam memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 masing-masing 15 hari yaitu 2,41 µg/mL; 25 hari yaitu 2,93 µg/mL; 35 hari yaitu 2,27 µg/mL. Nilai IC50 <10 ?g/mL menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bawang hitam dengan waktu pemanasan 15, 25, dan 35 hari memiliki potensi antioksidan yang sangat kuat. Waktu pemanasan yang paling optimum dalam penangkalan radikal bebas adalah ekstrak bawang hitam dalam waktu pemanasan 35 hari, karena banyak terdapat kandungan senyawa flavonoid, tanin, sterol, dan saponin.Abstract Radical compounds in the body are very reactive to cells that can cause various diseases. Compounds that are able to ward off free radicals are called antioxidants. Black garlic are known to contain phenolic active compounds and their derivatives so that they can be used as antioxidants. Research on the use of black garlic as an antioxidant aims to determine the difference in heating time (15, 25, and 35 days) on the antioxidant activity of black garlic extract. Black garlic are obtained by heating the garlic for 15, 25, and 35 days. The black garlic is then extracted with methanol solvent by maceration method. The extracted filtrate was concentrated with a rotary evaporator to obtain the black garlic extract. Black garlic extract was tested for phytochemistry to determine the content of active compounds. The antioxidant activity of black garlic extract was determined by the radical deterrence method 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). The results showed that the onion extract had a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 15 days each of 2.41 µg/mL; 25 days which is 2.93 ?g/mL; 35 days which is 2.27 µg/mL. IC50 values <10 ?g/mL indicate that the black garlic extract with a heating time of 15, 25, and 35 days has a very strong antioxidant potential. The most optimum heating time in deterring free radicals is black garlic extract within 35 days of heating because there are many compounds containing flavonoids, tannins, sterols, and saponins.

Abstract

Abstrak?Softgellcandy adalah permen bertekstur lunak yang diproses dengan penambahan komponen hidrokoloid seperti agar, gum, pektin, pati, kaegenan, gelatin dan lain-lain yang digunakan untuk modifikasi tekstur sehingga menghasilkan produk yang kenyal. Sayangnya distribusi Softgellcandy di pasaran seringkali terlepas dari pengawasan lembaga berwenang. Banyak ditemukan bermacam merk Softgellcandy yang tidak berBPOM maupun tidak berlabel Halal. Gelatin menjadi titik kritis kehalalan Softgellcandy. Penelitian ini menguji 15 sampel Softgellcandy tak berlabel halal yang dijual bebas di Surabaya dengan primer pengkode fragmen DNA cytochrome b Babi. Metode yang digunakan adalah konvensional PCR pada suhu 98oC-2 menit; 95oC-30 detik; 61oC-30 detik; 72oC-40 detik; dan 72oC-3 menit, selama 30 siklus. Visualisasi hasil PCR menggunakan elektroforesis 2% gel agarosa menunjukkan dari 15 sampel, 8 sampel terindikasi kontaminan DNA babi ditandai dengan pita DNA sebesar ?149bp. Pemerintah perlu melakukan monitoring lebih ketat terkait peredaran produk makanan tak berlabel halal yang dijual bebas di pasaran, mengingat Halal menjadi issue yang sangat sensitif di negara dengan mayoritas penduduk muslim terbesar di dunia ini. Abstract

Kurma (Phoenix dactylifera L.) merupakan buah yang banyak tumbuh di negara-negara Arab, terutama kota Madinah. Kurma memiliki lebih dari dua puluh jenis dan yang banyak beredar di Indonesia antara lain kurma ajwa, saudi arabia, tunisia, mesir madu, agal madinah, madinah, dan lulu. Identifikasi senyawa dan kandungan dari kurma jenis ajwa sendiri masih belum pernah dilakukan. Oleh karena itu tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa-senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam buah kurma ajwa. Daging buah kurma ajwa diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol. Ekstrak daging buah kurma diidentifikasi dengan melakukan uji fitokimia, analisis GC-MS, spektroskopi inframerah (FTIR) dan spektroskopi UV-Vis. Berdasarkan hasil uji fitokimia diketahui bahwa terdapat kandungan triterpenoid, flavonoid dan karbohidrat. Hasil analisis FTIR membuktikan bahwa adanya stretching dan bending gugus fungsi molekul seperti gugus –OH, -CH alifatik stretching, alkil, -C=C alifatik stretching / aromatik, aldehid, alkohol, eter, dan -CH aromatik. Pada analisis UV-Vis terdapat serapan di panjang gelombang 286 nm yang membuktikan bahwa flavonoid yang terkandung dalam ekstrak metanol daging buah kurma ajwa termasuk pada golongan flavanon

Abstract

&nbsp; Stroberi (Vragaria ananassa Dutch) Var. Dorit merupakan buah yang populer di masyarakat dunia dengan ciri khas rasa buahnya yang asam manis dan segar. Penyediaan benih stroberi selama ini dilakukan secara konvensional dengan menggunakan stolon, sehingga volume perbanyakan relatif lebih sedikit dan tidak bebas penyakit. Oleh karena&nbsp; itu&nbsp; diperlukan metode&nbsp; kultur jaringan untuk budidaya stroberi. Kultur jaringan tanaman merupakan suatu teknik pengisolasian dan pemeliharaan sel atau potongan jaringan tanaman yang ditumbuhkan pada media buatan yang sesuai dan dalam keadaan aseptik. Medium yang dipergunakan pada kultur in vitro tumbuhan ada bermacam-macam. Medium yang digunakan dalam percobaan ini yaitu media MP yang merupakan kombinasi dari larutan MS (Murashige and skoog) dan pupuk cair. Dalam hal ini pupuk yang digunakan merupakan produk dari Balitjestro yang tentunya mengandung beberapa nutrisi dengan konsentrasi yang tepat untuk petumbuhan tanaman. Percobaan ini dilakukan untuk&nbsp; mengidentifikasi pengaruh berbagai modifikasi media MP serta mengidentifikasi konsentrasi kombinasi media MP yang sesuai terhadap pertumbuhan stroberi varietas dorit. Percobaan ini&nbsp; menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan MP1: MS 25% + pupuk 75%, MP2: MS 50% + pupuk 50%, MP3: MS 75% + pupuk 25%, MP4: pupuk 100%, Percobaan di ulang 5x, sehingga diperlukan 20 unit percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan ditanam 5 planlet. Pertumbuhan tanaman stroberi varietas dorit yang ditanam pada media MP1, MP2, MP3 dan MP4 menunjukkan pengaruh perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan akar, pertumbuhan tunas dan pertambahan jumlah daun. Tanaman tersebut menunjukkan respon pertumbuhan yang paling cepat pada media MP3 karena mengandung konsentrasi larutan MS lebih banyak sehingga jumlah nitrogen yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan lebih tercukupi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe hospital is one of the health facilities that provide promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. WHO surveys in 2014 showed the incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) increased from 1.2 cases of 100 surgical become to 23.6 cases of 100 surgical procedures. This study aims to analyze the effect of operating procedure on the risk of SSI occurrence in contaminated cleaning operating patients. This research uses case control design. The sample size was 20 patients and the control group were 20 patients. Sampling is done through simple random sampling technique. Data collection is done by using secondary data that is patient medical record. The relationship between variables is calculated through chi-square test using computer applications. The result of statistic analysis showed the factors that influence the risk of IDO occurrence in the contaminated net operating patients in RSU Haji Surabaya such as preoperative bath (OR = 7,42) and shaving preoperative (OR = 6,00). Factors that have no effect on the occurrence of IDO include age factor (OR = 1.00), the nature of surgery (OR = 1.00), body temperature (OR = 1.28), nutritional status (OR = 2.78), and ASA score (OR = 2.26). The conclusion of the research is the risk factors that influence the incidence of IDO in the contaminated net operating patients at RSU Haji Surabaya ie preoperative bath and shaving preoperative. Research suggestions, socialization and supervision on the implementation of standard operating procedures and the use of IDO bundle prevention as an effort to minimize IDO incidents.Keywords: Surgical Site Infection (SSI) , contaminated cleaning operating, procedures

Abstract

Zeolite-Y templated carbon (ZTC) has been activated with K2CO3 and ZnCl2. This research aims to compare the characteristics of ZTC with K2CO3 and ZnCl2 activation. ZTC was synthesized via impregnation method followed by carbonization. In this research, activation process was conducted at variation of activator/carbon weight ratio of 1 and 1.50. The activation was carried out by heating up impregnated carbon at 800 °C for 1 h followed by washing to remove inorganic salt. XRD and SEM results indicate that the use of different activator produce ZTC with varied structure and morphology. Diffractogram results showed that the graphitic peak decreased due to K2CO3 activation, whereas graphitic peak increased owing to ZnCl2 activation. Decreasing the graphitic peak indicates that ZTCs have higher pore structure formation. In addition, surface formation of ZTC activated by K2CO3 was higher than by ZnCl2 activation. The higher pore structure formation means the amount of carbon deposited on external surface material was decreased.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to know the effect of soy sauce waste as substitution of fish meal in diet on the growth and dietary nutrient digestibility of juvenile tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus). The experiment used completely random design (CRD) with six treatments and three triplicates. The initial body weight of juvenile tiger grouper was 4.03 g and total length of 5-7 cm reared in 18 polycarbonate tanks with each 30 liter volume. Each of tanks was equipped with aeration and flow through water system. Six formulated diet with dry pellet form containing different level of soy sauce waste as substitution of fish meal, i.e., 0%, 7%, 14%, 21%, 28% and 28% added 0.15% methionine amino acid were teste. The result showed that the utilization of soy sauce waste as substitution fish meal influenced absolute growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio and protein retention (P<0.05), but not significantly different (P>0.05) on survival rate of juvenile tiger grouper. Dietary nutrient digestibility (protein) obtained 98.05- 99.69%. Dietary nutrient digestibility decreased with utilization of soy sauce waste in diet. These experiments concluded that the utilization of soy sauce waste as substitution of fish meal could be used until optimal limit 21%, while the substitution of 28% can’t used for diet formulation for tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus).

Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah dapat dilihat dari kenaikan PDRB rill. Provinsi Jawabarat memiliki nilai PDRB ADHK tertinggi ke 3 dibandingkan enam provinsi lain dipulau Jawa. Terdapat banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengeluaran pemerintah, tenagakerja dan kontribusi sektor industri terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi JawaBarat tahun 2011-2016. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Datayang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistikdan DJPK. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan regresi liner berganda denganfixed effect yang diolah dengan menggunakan eviews-9. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukan bahwa variabel pengeluaran pemerintah dan variabel kontribusiindustri pengolahan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan variabel tenagakerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Jawa Barat.Kata Kunci : Pengeluaran Pemerintah, Tenaga Kerja, Kontribusi Sektor Industri,Pertumbuhan Ekonomi
