Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze whether training, physical work environment, andleadership affect job satisfaction in improving employee performance. The study was conducted atFederal International Finance, Riau Area.Data used consist of primary and secondary data. The data was collected using questionnairesand documents given to a sample of 213 employees of Federal International Finance, Riau Area.Sample determination made use of the Slovin formulation. Sampling was done using Stratified RandomSampling. Analysis was conducted using the two stage least square model, while hypothesis testing wasconducted using multiple regression and simple regression using SPSS (Statistical Program For SocialSciences) 17.0 for Windows.Multiple regression tests show that the variables of training, physical work environment andleadership have a significant effect on job satisfaction of employees at Federal International Finance,Riau area, with t count (t count = 8286 > t table = 1,652) for training, (t count = 2,709 > t table =1,652) for physical work environment, and (t count = 7867 > t table = 1,652) for leadership. Simplelinear regression tests show that job satisfaction has a significant and positive impact on employeeperformance, with a t count (t count = 10,739 > t table 1,652).In conclusion, this study shows that training should be considered by management as a meansto not only develop employee skills and abilities, but also increase employee satisfaction. A goodphysical work environment should also be considered to make employees comfortable in performingwork and responsibilities. Lastly, leadership should be utilized to maintain employee satisfaction, andenable employees to provide good performance for the progress of the company in the future.Keywords: Training, Physical Work Environment, Leadership, Job Satisfaction and EmployeePerformance
