Abstract

The factor of failure in Arabic language learning in Indonesia is the lack of activities in language learning. One of language learning activities is identifying meaning or word meaning and phrase in dictionary. However, word and phrase index developed based on teaching materials at madrasah non-pesantren was not developed yet. Therefore, Research and Development is needed to apply. After having collected the word and phrase index that were collected from teaching materials of Arabic language at MI non-pesantren in Indonesia, then it was tested at MIN Malang. The result showed that: there was a development in Arabic language learning through word and phrase index; that was students’ competence to identify meaning and collaboration in understanding text and context in a sentence. After having applied the experiment, students’ average score increased from 52 with 19 failed students to 81,26 with 5 failed students.DOI: 10.24865/ajas.v1i2.6

Abstract

This research aims to determine the type of evaluation, evaluation techniques, and the quality of the instrument for evaluating reading skills in the textbook " Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah". The type this research is library research whose object is textbook "Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah". Meanwhile, the authors analyzed data using content analysis were conducted using the observation of data sources both primary and secondary. The results of this research to show that this type of reading skills evaluation in textbook Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah is a type of formative evaluation and diagnostic evaluation. Reading skills evaluation techniques in this book include test technique and non-test technique. The quality of the reading skills evaluation instrument in this book in terms of the material contained multiple-choice items and descriptions that do not match the indicator. In terms of construction, there are some components that are not fulfilled clause study on item true-false, stuffing or short-answer and multiple choice. in terms of language, the overall quality of the evaluation instruments is good. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis evaluasi, teknik evaluasi, dan kualitas instrumen evaluasi mahārah al-qirā′ah dalam buku ajar Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian literatur atau penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan objek penelitian buku teks Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah. Sementara itu dalam menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) dengan menggunakan metode pengamatan terhadap sumber data baik primer maupun sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis evaluasi mahārah al-qirā′ah dalam buku ajar Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah merupakan jenis evaluasi formatif dan diagnostik. Teknik evaluasi mahārah al-qirā′ah dalam buku ini meliputi teknik tes dan teknik non-tes. Kualitas instrumen evaluasi mahārah al-qirā′ah dalam buku ini, dilihat dari segi materi terdapat butir soal pilihan ganda dan uraian yang tidak sesuai indikator. Sedangkan dari segi konstruksi, terdapat beberapa komponen telaah butir yang tidak terpenuhi pada butir soal benar-salah, isian atau jawaban singkat dan pilihan ganda. Adapun dari segi bahasa, secara keseluruhan kualitas instrumen sudah baik. Kata kunci: Evaluasi, Mahārah Al-Qirā′ah, Buku Ajar.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the planning of character education integration in Arabic learning, the implementation of the integration and the implications of character education on the students’ character in Muhammadiyah Middle School 10 Yogyakarta. This was a qualitative research. Data were collected by observation, interviews and documentation. Data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed: (1) Planning for the integration was included into syllabus and lesson plans. The integration of character education was carried out in the philosophical, material and strategic domains. (2) The implementation of character education integration in Arabic language learning was done through learning activities, giving advice, and the teacher’s role model in Arabic teaching. At the stage of implementation, the integration  had been carried out in the philosophy, material and strategy domains. (3) The implications of character education on students’ character were the development of religiousity, obedience, discipline, communicativeness and responsibility.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Abstrak: Paradigma pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini sedang mengalami perubahan dari berpusat pada guru menjadi berpusat pada murid. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pengggunakan istilah murid, siswa dan peserta didik, dan penerapan kurikulum 2013 di semua jenjang pendidikan. Hal ini juga terjadi di pendidikan bahasa Arab. Untuk memudahkan guru dalam memberikan layanan pendidikan yang berpusat pada pesera didik, sangat diperlukan kajian tentang model-model belajar dan salah satu problem pendidikan bahasa Arab di lembaga non pesantren adalah lingkungan berbahasa. Tulisan ini merupakan sebagian dari hasil penelitian lapangan studi kasus terhadap pengalaman belajar bahasa Arab dosen bahasa Arab di Indonesia yang mendapatkan penghargaan dari Timur Tengah Tahun 2014.  Studi ini menemukan macam-macam lingkungan berbahasa Arab di Indonesia dan model-model belajar bahasa Arab berdasarkan lingkungan berbahasa Arab. Kata kunci: model belajar bahasa Arab, lingkungan belajar bahasa Arab

Abstract

So many number of learning theories, one of which is widely studied is cognitive theory. This article aims to examine cognitive learning theory and its implications in learning Arabic. The cognitive theory will be explored in depth based on the perspective of Jean Piaget and Lev S. Vygotsky. This article has a pattern of library research, data is explored through literature and analyzed through content analysis. The results of the analysis of this article found that cognitive theory has implications in learning Arabic in several aspects, namely: aspects of learning objectives, environmental aspects of language, aspects of media use, aspects of culture, aspects of learning levels and aspects of learning models.
