Abstract

This research aimed to know the increasing of students self confidence usinggroup guidance service. The research problem was found that there are studentswho had low self confidence. The research method was quasy experiment by usingnonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were 10 students whohad low self confidence. The data analysis was using wilcoxon test. It showed thatstudents self confidence increased 22,5% with Sig. = (0,000 0,05)so Ha wasreceived, it means that students self confidence can be increased by using groupguidance services.There are some suggestions that we can get from the researchin SMK Penerbangan year 2015/2016 (1) To the councelling teacher, she shouldhold guidance group service by tasking technique for increasing students selfconfidence as one of main program at school; (2) To the next researcher, sheshould do the same research with different subjects.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan percaya dirimenggunakan layanan bimbingan kelompok. Masalah penelitian ini kurangpercaya diri. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Eksperimen denganmenggunakan Nonequevalent control group design. Subjek penelitian sebanyak10 siswa yang kurang percaya diri. Analisis data dengan menggunakan ujiwilcoxon menunjukkan peningkatan percaya diri sebesar 22,5% dan diketahuibahwa sig. = 0,000 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya terdapatpeningkatan percaya diri siswa setelah pengunaan layanan bimbingan kelompok.Adapun saran yang dapat dikemukakan dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan diSMK Penerbangan Bandar Lampung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 adalah : (1)Kepada guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dapat mengadakan layanan bimbingankelompok dengan menggunakan teknik penugasan untuk meningkatkan percayadiri siswa, sebagai salah satu program unggulan di sekolah; (2)Kepada Penelitiselanjutnya, dapat melakukan penelitian mengenai masalah yang sama dengansubjek yang berbeda.Kata kunci : bimbingan dan konseling, bimbingan kelompok, percaya diri

Abstract

Humans are social beings who can not live alone and always have relationships with others. Each individual is expected to be able to relate well with other individuals in order to fulfill social needs. Fulfillment of good relationships with others requires skills of social skills. However, in reality there are still students who do not have good social skills. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with a person centered approach to students' social skills. The method used is quasi experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 8 Yogyakarta with sample of 10 students of class VII. The instrument used in this study is the scale of social skills. Data analysis technique using wilcoxon test. The results showed that group counseling with a person centered approach was effective on the students' social skills.
