Abstract

Background : Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a various symptoms that includes the muscles of mastication, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and / or surrounding structures are involved. The etiology of TMD is still unknown clearly. This was probably due to occlusion disharmony, psychological stress, trauma and dental treatment. Purpose : To report the case about the patient who was suffering TMD. It was because of the lossing teeth that had been indicated for orthodontic treatment,but the patient  was not continuing this treatment. Case : The patient was male, 14 years came with complaints of pain in the joints below the left ear when eating since a month ago and followed trismust since a week ago. Case Management : Clinical examination showed a temporary diagnosis of TMD. The therapy was given oral medication containing antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant for 5 days. Patients were instructed to eat soft liquid and perform investigations for panoramic images and pictures TMJ (when opening and closing the mouth). The final diagnosis was TMD, so that the patient was referred to the periodonsia and ortodonsia departement to receive the other treatments .

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan perbandingan hasil belajar siswa dengan mengunakan dua model pembelajaran yaitu model pembelajaran REACT dan Quantum Teaching pada siswa SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Model pembelajaran REACT mengajarkan siswa untuk dapat mengaitkan pengetahuan lama dan pengetahuan baru dan mengaitkannya dengan pengetahuan yang sudah mereka miliki dengan langkah pembelajaran yang tercermin dari akronimnya yakni Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating dan Transferring. Model Quantum Teaching menekankan kegiatannya pada pengembangan potensi siswa secara optimal melalui cara - cara yang mudah dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran REACT lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dalam mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 174 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini hanya dua kelas yakni kelas VIII-5 sebanyak 22 siswa dan kelas VIII-8 sebanyak 21 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pemberian tes kepada siswa, yakni pre-test dan post-test. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar IPS Terpadu dengan pokok bahasan keragaman sosial budaya sebagai modal dasar pembangunan nasional yang menggunakan model pembelajaran REACT lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pengolahan data penelitian diperoleh thitung = 4,77 lebih besar dari ttabel = 1,68 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 41. Maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the concentration of PM2.5, CO and CO2 indoor due to the use of biomass stoves and to calculate the value of combustion efficiency and fuel use efficiency in biomass stoves. The test was conducted by the water boiling test method to simulate the cooking process that was divided into 3 phases. The fuel used was coconut shell briquettes and firewood briquettes. Based on the test results the obtained concentration of PM2.5 from the the use of coconut shell briquette was 21.03 µg/Nm3 during the cold start phase, 23.66 µg/Nm3 in the hot start phase, and 15.57 µg/Nm3 in the simmering phase. As for Firewood briquette, it had lower PM2.5 concentrations, i.e., 17.17 µg/Nm3 in the cold start phase, 20.63 µg/Nm3 in the hot start phase, and 12.17 µg/Nm3 in the simmering phase. The results of CO concentration measurement in coconut shell briquette for the cold start, hot start, and simmering phases were 4.57; 4.32 and 5.27 ppm, respectively, and for firewood briquette were 3.92; 3.69 and 4.61 ppm, correspondingly. While for CO2 concentration measurements, for coconut shell briquette at cold start, hot start, and simmering phases were 376.83; 364.56 and 443.11 ppm, respectively, and for firewood briquette were 397.4; 383.61 and 486.45 ppm, accordingly. The concentration of PM2.5, CO and CO2 did not exceed the indoor air quality standard regulated by the Minister of Health Regulation No. 1077 of 2011 which is 35 µg/Nm3 for PM2.5, 9 ppm for CO and 1,000 ppm for CO2. The ratio of the biomass stove CO / CO2 briquette fuel was below the value of 0.02 which means that the combustion process occurred perfectly. The efficiency value of coconut shell briquette combustion was lower than that of firewood briquette combustion which is influenced by heating value, water temperature, the amount of fuel used and the length of the testing process, while the efficient use of fuel from using briquettes was better than biomass stoves made from unprocessed/raw biomass fuels.
