Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rute pemberian vaksin A.hydrophila ASB-01 yang efektif untuk mengendalikan MAS pada ikan gabus.  Efektivitas rute vaksinasi dievaluasi melalui titer antibodi, sintasan, RPS (relative percent survival) dan RWK (Rerata waktu kematian).  Penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 perlakuan (vaksinasi secara rendaman (R), oral (O), injeksi intramuscular (IM), injeksi intraperitoneal (IP) dan Kontrol (PBS pH 7,0) dengan  3 ulangan. Dosis vaksinasi sebanyak 107 sel/ml. Vaksinasi booster dilakukan setelah 14 hari kemudian, dosisnya sama dengan vaksinasi awal.  Selanjutnya, 14 hari berikutnya ikan ditantang dengan A.hydrophila ASB-01. Untuk memperoleh data titer antibodi dilakukan pengambilan darah pada saat sebelum divaksinasi, sesaat sebelum vaksinasi booster dan 14 hari setelah vaksinasi booster. Ikan tantang diamati selama 14 hari untuk memperoleh data sintasan, RPS dan RWK. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa semua rute pemberian vaksin dapat meningkatkan titer antibodi, akan tetapi titer antibodi tertinggi diperoleh dari ikan yang divaksinasi secara injeksi.  Sintasan gabus yang divaksinasi secara IM (84,47%), IP (82,20%), R (42,27%), O (42,20%) dan kontrol (13,13 %). RPS gabus yang divaksinasi melalui rute IM (82,08%), IP (79,46%), R (33,38%), O (33,31%), sedangkan RWK gabus melalui rute IP (3,63 hari), IM (79,46 3,57 hari), R (2,46 hari), O (1,85 hari) dan kontrol (1,03 hari). Rute vaksinasi yang efektif adalah melalui injeksi.This study aims to determine the vaccine A.hydrophila ASB-01 is effective for the control of MAS on snakehead fish. Survival rates were vaccinated IM (84.47%), IP (82.20%), R (42.27%), O (42.20%) and controls (13.13%). RPS to IM (82.08%), IP (79.46%), R (33.38%), O (33.31%), while RWK through the IP (3.63 days), IM (79.46 3.57 days), R (2.46 days), O (1.85 days) and controls (1.03 days). Effective vaccination route is through injection.

Abstract

Allicin compound (2-propene-1- sulphinothioat acid S-2-propenyl ester) is known to have potential as antiplasmodium in vitro. However, the inhibitory activity mechanism of Allicin to plasmodium is still unknown. In this research, we determined the inhibitory activity of Allicin in silico. Identification of physicochemical properties of Allicin compound and two Allicin derivatives, Alc1, Alc2 and Ac2Alc3 were also conducted.. Furthermore, analysis of drug-likeness and adsorption-distribution-metabolism-excretion (ADME) were carried out on the Allicin compound and its derivatives to find the potential of these compounds as drug candidates. In determining the specific interaction, we utilized molecular docking analysis between Allicin and its derivatives against a protein target Cysteine Protease (SP). Molecular  docking results showed that Allicin derivative, Alc2 (S-prop-2-en-1-yl 3-methylbut-2-ene-1-sulfinothioate, C10H18OS2) has better potential as inhibitors than Allicin, based on the lower bond energies and the inhibition constants, thus Alc2 can be used as an antiplasmodium agent candidate.Keywords: Allicin, Allicin derivatives, drug likeness, ADME, molecular docking

Abstract

Background Hearing disorder may cause speech delay so thatevery child with speech delay should undergo hearing test. Thegold standard for audiometric test is otoacustic emission (OAE)and brainstem evoked response audiometry (BERA). They havehigh sensitivity and specificity, but the availability is limited andexpensive. Hence, both tests are not available at the primary healthcare centers. In 1997, the Department of Health, Republic of Indo-nesia, established a simple subjective test instrument, i.e. the hear-ing capability test (HCT).Objective To asses the accuracy of HCT compared to the goldstandard hearing tests (OAE and/or BERA).Methods This study was a cross sectional study on 89 childrenaged less than 5 years who had speech delay and came to theGrowth and Development Outpatient Clinic or the General Outpa-tient Clinic, Pediatric Neurology Clinic of the Department of ChildHealth, Cipto Mangunkusumo (CM) Hospital; and Center for EarCare and Communicative Disorders (CECCD), Department of ENT,CM Hospital, during March to August 2005.Results HCT sensitivity and specificity were 92.9% and 27.7%,respectively. Positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictivevalue (NPV), positive likelihood ratio (PLR), and negative likehoodratio (NLR) were 84%, 50%, 1.9, and 0.7, respectively.Conclusion The sensitivity and specificity of HCT as a screeningtest of hearing disorder in children with speech delay were 93%and 28%, respectively. Based on this result, HCT should only beused as screening test and not as a diagnostic test

Abstract

Usaha sapu ijuk di Desa Sinembah yang masih bersifat konvensional sehingga penanganan masih sangat sederhana. Rendahnya kinerja usaha industri rumah tangga sapu ijuk di lokasi pengabdian dari aspek teknis produksi dalam penyediaan bahan baku dan pembentukan modal. Usaha industri kecil sapu ijuk selama ini memiliki keterbatasan dalam memperluas jaringan pemasaran dan kurangnya promosi usaha yang efektif dan efisien. Target luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah : Mitra memiliki kemampuan membuat catatan keuangan industri rumah tangga dan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah tidak ada lembaga yang menjamin Harga Eceran Tertinggi (HET) untuk komoditas sapu ijuk sehingga harga sapu dibeli murah oleh pengumpul dan persaingan terhadap sapu plastik. Saluran pemasaran produk sapu ijuk dikatakan tidak efisien pada pengolah karena nilai mark up on selling tinggi. Faktor yang mempengaruhi besarnya pendapatan tenaga kerja wanita adalah jumlah produksi dan harga sapu. Upaya yang dilakukan ialah membuat suatu organisasi perkumpulan para pengerajin sapu ijuk untuk menetapkan (HET), sehingga pengerajin yang tidak terjun langsung ke pemasaran tidak terlalu dirugikan kemudian meningkatkan penampilan dan kualitas untuk lebih menarik para konsumen.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to know the effects of the fermented-seaweed meal waste available in the ration to the performance (weight gain, consumption and convertion of ration, carcass production (carcass percentage, carcass components, and abdominal fat). This research applied 80 local day oldduck (DOD). The research design applied was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments which were repeated for 5 times. Every repetition consists of 4 local duck. The treatments applied were: R0 = Controlled Ration, R1 = Ration containing of 2,5%fermented-seaweed meal waste. R2 = Ration containing of 5% fermented-seaweed meal waste, and R3 = Ration containing of 7,5% fermented-seaweed meal waste.The result of this research shows that the treatments hadnot significant influence on the duck performance and abdominal fat, butsignificantly influence on the percentage of carcass and the carcass components, while  abdominal fat decreaseto the higher fermented seaweed meal waste contained in the ration. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nisbah kelamin, tingkat kematangan gonad dan indeks kematangan gonad ikan betutu (Oxyeleotris marmorata Bleeker, 1852) di perairan Danau Tempe, Sulawesi Selatan. Manfaat penelitian ini dapat mengetahui keseimbangan matang gonad dan yang belum matang gonad, ikan yang sudah memijah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Mei yaitu pada tanggal 29 Maret, 13 April, 26 April, 9 Mei 2017. Analisis ikan contoh dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi Perikanan. Cara pengambilan ikan contoh dengan mengambil seluruh hasil tangkapan nelayan dengan selang waktu empat kali selama dua bulan. Nisbah kelamin dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji chi-square (Wibisono, 2009), tingkat kematangan gonad mengacu pada klasifikasi ikan nilem (Andy Omar, 2010), indeks kematangan gonad dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus (Effendie, 2000). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah ikan betutu yang diperoleh sebanyak 239 ekor yang terdiri dari 127 ekor jantan dan 112 ekor betina. Nisbah kelamin ikan betutu jantan dan betina 1 : 0.89. Tingkat kematangan gonad ikan betutu jantan yaitu I – IV dan ikan betutu betina yaitu I – V. Indeks kematangan gonad ikan betutu jantan yang terendah yaitu pada TKG I 0.0356% dan tertinggi pada TKG IV 0.3431% sedangkan pada ikan betutu betina yang terendah yaitu pada TKG I 0.1604% dan tertinggi pada TKG IV 2.8753%. Kata kunci: Ikan betutu, nisbah kelamin, TKG, IKG.

Abstract

Kemampuan lahan merupakan potensi lahan untuk penggunaan berbagai sistem pertanian secara umum untuk penggunaan lahan berkelanjutan. Kemampuan lahan adalah salah satu metode untuk mengetahui daya dukung lahan. Kabupaten Majene merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Sulawesi Barat yang sebagian besar mata pencaharian penduduknya adalah sebagai petani. Komoditas pertanian seperti perkebunan dianggap sangat membantu perekonomian masyarakat, tetapi penurunan produktivitas perkebunan mengakibatkan dampak negatif bagi pendapatan masyarakat. Kegiatan pertanian selalu ditandai dengan pembukaan lahan baru. Oleh karena itu, jika aktivitas pertanian mengabaikan kemampuan lahan maka lahan akan menjadi rusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian penggunaan lahan dengan kemampuan lahan dan RTRW dan menyusun strategi pengembangan komoditas unggulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 kelas kemampuan lahan dan 12 sub-kelas kemampuan lahan dengan faktor pembatas dominan adalah lereng. Sebagian penggunaan lahan di beberapa area tidak cocok dengan kemampuan lahannya yaitu sebesar 28%, sedangkan ketidakcocokan penggunaan lahan dengan RTRW jauh lebih sedikit, yakni 14,8%. Strategi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan komoditas perkebunan adalah menjaga kesuburan tanah, pengendalian hama terpadu, penerapan pola tanam, meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya petani, meningkatkan peran penyuluh, pembangunan dan perbaikan infrastruktur serta manajemen panen/pasca panen.Kata kunci: Strategi pengembangan komoditas, kemampuan lahan, komoditas unggulanABSTRACTLand capability is potentials land for uses of various agricultural systems for general sustainable land uses. Land capability is one of methods to determine carrying capacity of land. Majene Regency is one of regencies in West Sulawesi Province with major of livelihoods is as farmers. Agricultural commodities especially plantation is very important for the people‟s welfare in this area, but the decrease in productivity have negative impacts to the farmers‟ income. Agricultural activities always be marked with opening new land. Therefore, if land capability ignored then the land will be degraded. This research aims to evaluate conformity of the existing land use and land capability with spatial planning (RTRW) and to arrange a leading community development strategy. The results showed that land has four capability classes and twelve capability sub-classes with slope concerns as the dominant limiting factor. The land uses in some areas do not match with their land capabilities accounted for 28%, while unconformity land uses to spatial planning (RTRW) is far less, accounted for 14,8%. The strategies to increase the plantation commodities are by maintaining soil fertility, integrated pest management, implementation of cropping patterns, development of farmer resource, development role of agricultural extension agents, development and improvement of infrastructure and management of harvest and postharvest.Keywords : commodity development strategy, land capability, leading commodity

Abstract

Business continuity that provides a home meal especially palekko menu can not be predicted so that business owners are required to develop appropriate strategies to develop the quality of the product in maintaining their business. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing the culinary quality of palekko ducks in Sidenreng Rappang Regency using SWOT analysis. The results of the matrix show the strategies that can be applied by the business owner is to open a business branch, promote, maintain and improve the quality of products, services, and HR by compiling a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), working with suppliers with a work contract system to ensure availability of materials raw.
