Abstract

Religious pluralismis a social reality, that must be accepted by any individual or community group. As a social fact, the management of religious pluralism is a shared responsibility of all citizens. One of the models of pluralism management is through interfaith dialogue. Interfaith dialogue is understood as a joint effort among followers of religion to understand each other. In the interfaith dialogue, honesty and openness are important requirements for reaching mutual agreement. Political identity based on religion which is a serious threat for religious pluralism can be managed through this interfaith dialogue.

Abstract

Socio-cultural changes that occurred in the Samin community has changed gender relations and division of labor system Samin community. This paper aims to clarify the role of women in the past Samin and the role of women in the present Samin. In the past, the role of women Samin confined to household work, do not have public access, and restrictions on education. At present, women Samin has been engaged in productive and reproductive work, and has been active in social activities. Samin female gender relations shift occurs due to internal factors, namely a change of mind and improvement of the economy, as well as external factors namely the development of information technology and transportation in their lives. This shift in gender roles also occurred due to the role of several actors, such as village officials, religious leaders, and community agencies.

Abstract

AbstractThis study is based on the fact that almost all traditional Islamic boarding schools prepare their students to become expert of religious instructions. Only a few preparing their students, in addition to master the ‘yellow book’ tradition, on how to apply it among the communities also. The curriculum of Al-Muayyad Windan Islamic boarding school, Sukoharjo is formulated to mature students in both categories above. The funding of study informs that Al-Muayyad Windan Islamic boarding school has a Tanfidziah model with an integrated curriculum, i.e. the mastering on religious texts derived from ‘yellow books’ which enables the students to master religious science (mutafaq addin), capable at the implementation level, so the students having the capacity to be “tune in” in the people empowerment.
