Abstract

Recently many violent and moral degradations occurred in Indonesia have affected most of the youth. The moral degradation symptoms are indicated by the increase of drug abuse, free sex, crime, violent act, and many other disrespectful behaviors. The source of this multidimensional crisis and the nation?s downturn is the identity crisis and the failure in developing the nation?s character education. The IPS (the social studies) lesson is, in fact, aimed at improving the personal, social, and intellectual competences. Therefore, it is the time to integrate the character education with the school?s lessons, particularly in the social studies or IPS in the level of junior high school. In this case, the lesson is expected to be a tool and opportunity for students to develop various good characteristics such as religious, honest, integrited, tolerant, discipline, independent, hard worker, creative, patriotic, and friendly qualities.

Abstract

Teachers are educational staff who have the main duty to educate, teach, train, and guide students to have readiness to face increasingly fierce global competition with other nations. Hence, the position of teachers as professionals is urgently important in the realization of the vision and mission of learning especially in the educational aspect where the teachers can fulfill their duties. Teachers require particular attention from the government and society, ultimately the government regulates the improvement of the quality of teachers or teachers nationally through Law No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System. The “TPA” (Teacher Performance Assessment) system is still implemented conventionally which gives tremendous influence on teacher professionalism. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of SAT applications (Self-Assessment Teacher) to improve the teachers’ professionalism. This research uses quantitative methodology with independent t test using control class and experiment class as research samples. The result of this research revealed that a computer based SAT (Self-Assessment Teacher) application containing component of assessment which are personality competence, pedagogic competence, professional competence, social competence and result of assessment recap could maximally increase professionalism of teachers. The results indicated that the application was utilized effectively in improving the professionalism of teachers. In the application effectiveness test, it is known that the average value obtained by the experimental class is 82,9178, and that average value is higher than the control class 61,6363. This application is designed using the Dephi programming language and MySql database. The results of the teacher's performance appraisal can be viewed directly by the assessor and also the teacher with the login their user name and password in order to know the value of each competitor and the follow-up, and also the overall “TPA” recap value to the value used for the teacher's “PAK” (Credit Score Assessment).

Abstract

Tapis was the one of traditional cloth that contained in Lampung society. There was a philosophy values that contained in some kind of the pattern of Tapis. This study aimed to; (1) a. know the learning model of Lampung Culture that have been implemented; b. know the needs of the learning model of Lampung Culture; c. know how big the culture awareness of the students in History Education Study Program of  University of Lampung; (2) Develop a learning model to integrate the philosophy values of Tapis in Lampung Culture at History Education Study Program of University of Lampung ; (3) Assess the effectiveness of learning model to integrate the philosophy values of Tapis on the learning the Lampung Culture to improve the culture awereness of History Education students. This research used the developmental research method (Research and Development/R&D). The method was used to produce some product and examine the effectiveness of those product. To be able to produce the product, the requirement analysis research was used in this research to examine the effectiveness of the product in order to serve the function in the society. This research was held at the sixth semester students of History Education Study Program. There were two classes; A class  as a experimental class and B class as a control class. This research was held of the even semester in the school year 2015/2016. The result of the effectiveness of the achievement (cognitieve) showed there was a significant difference in students? ability between experimental and control class. The result showed the score of t value 8.557 in the level of significant 0.78 was higher than 0.05 (0.78 > 0.05). It could be conclude that experimental and control class were not in the same varian and the mean competence also was not same. The result of t value in the attitude assessment showed the score of thit (2.015) >ttab (1.678) in the level of significant 0.02 was lower than 0.05 (0.02 < 0.05), it could be conclude that Ho was rejected and the mean score before and after the treatement to the experimental class was not same. The result indicate that there was a significanct influence of the learning model of Lampung culture based on the philosophy values of Tapis to improve the Culture Awereness of the students. In conclusion, the integration development of the philosophy values of Tapis on the leaarning model in Lampung culture was effective to improve learning outcomes and the culture awereness of the students.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan urgensi buku digital dalam Pembelajaran matematika dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII di Kota Pangkalpinang. Urgensi ini terkait perubahan pesat teknologi yang berdampak hampir ke semua aspek kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk aspek pendidikan. Pendidikan dapat dijadikan tolak ukur dalam menilai suatu Negara, misalnya PISA dan TIMSS. Hasil belajar matematika siswa yang rendah dalam PISA dan TIMSS juga menjadi salah satu alasan adanya kebijakan kurikulum 2013. Faktanya, desiminasi buku cetak kurikulum 2013 dari pusat ke daerah membutuhkan waktu yang panjang. Terkhusus buku pelajaran matematika, terjadi perubahan susunan materi setiap dikeluarkannya versi revisi oleh pemerintah, sehingga guru kesulitan dalam menyediakan materi yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kondisi siswa di masing-masing daerah. Penting adanya format buku yang dapat melibatkan guru dalam penyusunannya, dan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pelajaran yaitu buku digital. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, pendidikan matematika berkembang dengan pesat akibat dari penemuan pendekatan terbaik dalam pembelajaran matematika. Perkembangan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika itu dipicu oleh adanya masalah bagi siswa yang berkenaan dengan hasil belajarnya. RME merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan jawaban kebutuhan dari penggunaan matematika dan persaingan ekonomi global khususnya di era teknologi dan informasi, hampir di setiap sektor kehidupan diperlukannya keterampilan intelegen dalam menginterpretasi, menyelesaikan suatu masalah, ataupun untuk mengontrol proses komputer. Buku digital berbasis RME menjadi langkah konkret menghadapi era persaingan dimana kebanyakan lapangan kerja menuntut kemampuan menganalisis daripada melakukan keterampilan prosedural dan mekanistik. Hasil dari analisis kebutuhan di Pangkalpinang mengemukakan urgensi buku digital dikarenakan desiminasi buku cetak kurikulum 2013, versi BSE yang kurang komunikatif, tidak mengintegrasikan multimedia, serta dibutuhkannya sumber belajar yang memfasilitasi siswa lebih banyak menjawab tantangan kehidupan sehari-hari dan dunia kerja.Kata kunci: buku digital; hasil belajar; kurikulum 2013; RME.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were: 1) to determine the understanding of subject matter of teaching history related to the curriculum in 2013, 2) to  determine whether history teachers to develop learning material of teaching creatively, 3) to determine how to asses historical teaching on SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta, 4 ) to determine the barriers faced history teacher at SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta, 5) to assess the efforts made history teachers in addressing the issue faced.The subjects were history teacher, vice principal part of the curriculum, and the school principal SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta. Data collection technique used interview, observation and document analysis. To be valid research data obtained, then researchers used data triangulation and triangulation methods. The analysis technique used by researchers is an interactive model. The procedure of the research is pre-court stage, the stage of field research, data analysis stage, and prepare the report stage. The results showed that: 1) the History Teacher at SMAN 6 Surakarta in making the RPP has met the standard curriculum, 2013. 2) The history teacher at SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta draw up an annual program, the semester program, and RPP. 3) The history teacher SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta attach four components namely.4) Constraints faced is not match between the material and available time, students are not familiar with active learning, lack of learning resources, and administration are too complicated. 5) Solutions are among others set up a video or picture, freeing students to develop material, the provision of WiFi for internet access. The school provides a blank empty form in the soft file in Excel format, making it easier for teachers and homeroom.

Abstract

Kebudayaan adalah jati diri bangsa untuk membangun kejayaan peradaban dalam sebuah negeri. Melalui kebudayaan generasi muda diharapkan untuk mampu menghargai harkat dan martabat bangsa serta mengetahui perjalanan sejarah yang telah dilewati oleh negeri ini. Namun dalam kenyataanya kesadaran budaya dari para generasi muda sudah mulai tergerus arus globalisasi, hal ini membuat kebudayaan di dalam negeri mulai menurun daya tariknya. Fenomena kesadaran budaya yang mulai menurun saat ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya penanaman pendidikan karakter di dalam sistem pendidikan Indonesia. Pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sejarah diperlukan untuk menguatkan jati diri bangsa melalui kebudayaan untuk menghadapi dampak negatif dari arus globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Memasukkan nilai-nilai yang ada pada relief candi penataran dalam pembelajaran sejarah. 2) Menumbuhkan kesadaran budaya melalui nilai-nilai relief candi Penataran. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Relief-relief yang terdapat di candi Penataran antara lain mengisahkan cerita tentang Sri Tanjung, Sang Setyawan, Bubuksah Gagangaking, Ramayana, Kresnayana dan hewan-hewan atau fabel. Dalam relief tersebut sarat akan kandungan nilai religius, jujur, tolerasi, kerja keras dan tanggung jawab yang dapat dimasukan ke dalam pembelajaran sejarah untuk menambah pengetahuan generasi muda tentang warisan kebudayaan dari para leluhur di masa lalu. Upaya dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran budaya generasi muda adalah: 1) Pengetahuan akan adanya berbagai kebudayaan suku bangsa yang masing-masing mempunyai jati diri beserta keunggulan-keunggulanya, 2) Sikap terbuka untuk menghargai dan berusaha memahami kebudayaan suku-suku bangsa di luar suku bangsanya sendiri, 3) Pengetahuan akan adanya riwayat perkembangan budaya di berbagai tahap masa silam, 4) Pengertian di samping merawat dan mengembangkan unsur-unsur warisan budaya, kita sebagai bangsa Indonesia yang bersatu juga sedang mengembangkan sebuah kebudayaan baru, yaitu kebudayaan nasional.DOI: 10.17977/um022v3i22018p095

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the literary work of Si Bulus-Bulus Si Rumbuk-Rumbuk written by Willem Iskandar in cultural approach. Willem Iskandar was a writer who produced literary works to build a revolutionary spirit for the advancement of South Tapanuli. The literary work he produced implied a passion for change. The literary works that he wrote were very much about the culture in South Tapanuli. Si Bulus-Bulus Si Rumbuk-Rumbuk is his most popular work. Many messages are written in his work. The depiction of culture as outlined in his work invites the people of South Tapanuli to be more eager to make local wisdom a cultural heritage that must be preserved. In addition, his work also describes the geographical conditions and conditions in South Tapanuli. This work was a great asset for advancing education in South Tapanuli at that time. This article was prepared using qualitative descriptive methods based on literature studies and field research. A review of Si Bulus-Bulus Si Rumbuk-Rumbuk works conducted by understanding the text and then interpreting it to obtain the values contained in it.

Abstract

Keberagaman kandungan metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam Nephrolepis biserrata (Sw.) Schott memiliki beragam potensi aktivitas farmakologis, salah satu aktivitas farmakologis yang masih minim diteliti adalah aktivitas antibakteri. Uji aktivitas antibakteri fraksi ekstrak etanol dari batang dan daun Nephrolepis biserrata (Sw.) Shott terhadap bakteri Eschericia coli dengan menggunakan metode difusi kertas cakram. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan 3 fraksi yaitu fraksi n-heksan, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi metanol dengan variasi konsentrasi 30 %, 20 % dan 10% serta kontrol negatifnya adalah DMSO dan kontrol positif adalah kloramfenikol. Dari hasil pengujian aktivitas antibakteri didapatkan fraksi etil asetat dengan konsentrasi 30 % dari ekstrak etanol batang memiliki potensi kuat sebagai antibakteri dengan daya hambat sebesar 11,78 mm. Sedangkan fraksi metanol dengan konsentrasi 30 % dari ekstrak etanol daun memiliki potensi sedang dengan daya hambat sebesar 6,17 mm.

Abstract

Kerusakan alam dan lingkungan hidup yang lebih dahsyat bukanlah disebabkan oleh proses alam yang semakin tua, akan tetapi justru akibat dari ulah tangan-tangan manusia yang selalu berdalih memanfaatkannya. Dalam ajaran islam banyak hadis dan ayat akan kewajiban manusia untuk mengelola alam dan menjaga akan diminta pertanggungjawabannya, sehingga manusia tidak berhak berlaku sewenang-wenang dalam memimpin dan mengelola alam. Dalam penelitian ini akan lebih jauh dibahas bagaimana peran manusia sebagai khalifah di muka bumi dalam perspektif ekologis sesuai ajaran islam. Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) bagaimana peran manusia sebagai khalifah dari perspektif ekologis dalam ajaran islam?; (2) bagaimana manusia sebagai klahifah dimuka bumi dalam menjaga dan memelihara alam? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui peran manusia sebagai khalifah dari perspektif ekologis dalam ajaran islam; (2) manusia sebagai khalifah dimuka bumi dalam menjaga dan memelihara alam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif jenis dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Penelitian kepustakaan di lakukan melalui buku, majalah, jurnal, internet dan sebagainya. Selain itu dengan melakukan studi pengamatan dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil yang ditemukan yaitu: (1) bahwa alam adalah segala sesuatu yang diciptakan Allah dengan segala isinya, dalam konteks ini, bahwa alam tidak hanya benda angkasa atau bumi dan segala isinya, tetapi alam juga terdapat diantara keduanya, tugas dari seorang khalifah menjadikan perlindungan bagi umat dan menjaga kelestarian alam (ekosistem), sehingga khalifah dan umat harus bersatu dan saling mencintai guna menjalankan kehidupan sesuai dengan syariat islam dan keberlangsungan hidup; (2) manusia adalah khalifah di muka bumi, tugas khalifah dalam Al Qur’an biasa disebut imaratul ardh (memakmurkan bumi) dan ibadatullah (beribadah kepada Allah). Allah menciptakan manusia dari bumi ini dan menugaskan manusia untuk melakukan imarah dimuka bumi dengan mengelola dan memeliharanya.

Abstract

Higher education curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the contentand study materials and lessons and ways of delivery and assessment are used to guide theteaching-learning activities in college. The curriculum is a program developed andimplemented to achieve an educational goal. So the curriculum can mean a program in theform of documents and program implementation. As a curriculum document (curriculumplan) was prepared in the form of details of the course, syllabus, learning design, systemevaluation of success. Moderate curriculum as an implementation program is a form oflearning, which obviously made (actual curriculum). The reason there are changes in the curriculum of internal and external factors. The steps penysunan curriculum are the following: (1) preparation of a graduate profile, ie the expected roles and functions can be run by graduates of the future in the community, (2)determination of competency based on the profile of graduates, (3) Determination of material related to the field study science and technology courses, (4) Determination of the depth and breadth of the study (credits) are done by analyzing the relationship between competence and the required study materials, (5) Combine the various study materials into courses, (6)Develop curriculum structure by means of distributing the course of the semester, (7) Develop a Learning Plan, and simultaneously (8)selecting appropriate learning method to achieve competence. Curriculum development has broad sense, which includes planning, implementation and evaluation. Curriculum designers can follow the advice in the Book of Common Prayer in which its adherents are required to "hold fast to what is good".
