Abstract

Literasi matematika merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang dibutuhkan masyarakat di abad-21. Gaya belajar mempengaruhi kemampuan seseorang dalam memproses informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematika mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD dengan gaya belajar visual. Pemilihan subjek diperoleh melalui angket gaya, kemudian terpilihlah satu mahasiswa (S1) dengan gaya belajar visual. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui metode tes dan wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek (S1) sudah mampu menyelesaikan soal literasi matematika setara level 1-4, namun S1 belum mampu menyelesaikan soal literasi matematika setara level 5 dan 6 sesuai indikator yang diadaptasi dari PISA.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi aljabar siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik; (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan yang mendapat pembelajaran klasikal dengan pendekatan saintifik.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Taman. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling diperoleh dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, tes, observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dan uji proporsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik lebih baik daripada yang mendapat pembelajaran klasikal dengan pendekatan saintifik. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaranTGT dengan pendekatan saintifik lebihefektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Taman pada materi aljabar.

Abstract

Elementary lesson plan course is a compulsory subject for students in PGSD on 5th semester. It is hoped that the students are able to create a learning design. One of the learning outcomes of this course is PGSD students are able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives based on Blooms taxonomy revision. The problem that often arised was the students faced difficulty to identify learning objectives. This research was a qualitative research. This study aimed to determine the ability of PGSD students in analyzing the cognitive dimension of learning objectives. This study used three students class of 2014 from PGSD Universitas Adi Buana PGRI Surabaya, consisted of student who has high, medium and low capability. The instruments used were worksheets of analysis of learning objectives and guidelines for the interview. Data were collected by tests and interviews. Data analysis technique using reducing of data, presenting of data, and make inferences. The result showed that subject with high capability has been able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives well. Subject with medium and low capability have not been able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives well. It was shown from the error analysis of learning objectives and interviews. Obstacles faced by students were they did not understand the cognitive dimensions according to Bloom. The students did not understand the purpose of learning well according to the ABCD rule, and lack of precision in the analysis.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning (BBL) terhadap High Order Thinking Skills Mahasiswa PGSD pada Mata Kuliah Konsep Matematika Lanjut. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Adi Buana Surabaya angkatan 2017. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling, diperoleh dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas 2017 A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 2017 B sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, tes, observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji ketuntasan belajar (uji t dan uji proporsi) dan uji kesamaan rata-rata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Hasil uji kesamaan rata-ratamenunjukkan bahwa rata-rata HOTS mahasiswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkanhasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran BBL efektif terhadap HOTS mahasiswa PGSD pada mata kuliah Konsep Matematika Lanjut.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the development of valid and practical Mathematics learning instruments with the scientific approach-based TGT model;(2) to investigate the learning effectiveness with the use of Mathematics learning instruments with the scientific approach-based TGT model on the learning material of Algebra Operation.This research used the research and development method. The development of learning instrument was done by means of 4Ds claimed by Thiagarajan model, et.al. However, this research used only 3Ds, namely: Define, Design, and Develop. The developed learning instruments included lesson plans, student’s work sheet, and test of problem-solving ability. The subjects exposed to the experimentation were the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 2 of Pemalang, State Junior Secondary School 4 of Taman, and State Junior Secondary School 1 of Pemalang. The results of research are as follows: (1) The developed learning instruments are declared as valid ones by the validators; (2) The instruments are also practical because the students have a good response on the developed instruments, the teachers have a good response on the developed instrument, and the lesson plans have been implemented well in the learning process; (3)  the learning process in the experimental class is effective because the students have good learning activities, the problem-solving ability mean of the students in the experimental class is better than that of the students in control class, and the student’s problem-solving ability has fulfilled the classical learning completeness.Keywords: development of learning instruments, TGT, and scientific approach

Abstract

The students critical thinking skills in basic science concept courses need to be trained, so that students can solve the problems faced. Critical thinking is the process of seeking, obtaining, evaluating, analyzing, synthesizing, and conceptualizing information as a guide for developing ones thinking. This research aims to train critical thinking ability of PGSD students in the basic science concept course through the application of inquiry learning model. This research is a qualitative research, Subject in research is student of PGSD class of 2016 PGRI University Adi Buana Surabaya (UNIPA). Methods of data collection is done through observation, tests, and interviews. The result of the research indicate that critical thinking ability of PGSD students of UNIPA Surabaya in subject of basic concept of IPA can be trained by using inquiry model

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari masih rendahnya kualitas dan kompetensi dosen dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran.Salah satuupaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pendidik adalah dengan menerapkan lesson study.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan lesson study menggunakan model Think Pair Share dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran mata kuliah Evaluasi Pembelajaran SD.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD kelas 2016 E  dan 2016 A. Data penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan plan, do, dan see.Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui teknik triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan lesson study menggunakan model TPS dengan pendekatan saintifik dilaksanakan sesuai tahapan-tahapan dalam  lesson study yaitu plan, do,dan see. Lesson study membuat proses perencanaan pembelajaran lebih matang sehingga dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dosen model merasa lebih siap. Lesson Study secara efektif dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Lesson Study  yang dirancang dengan baik akan menjadikan dosen model menjadi lebih profesional dan inovatif

Abstract

Mathematics is regarded as a difficult course load for students PGSD, whereas those aspiring teachers who will teach konsepMatematika in elementary school (SD).Pembelajaran mathematics in elementary directed to the formation of personality andability to think mathematics. PGSD Adi Buana University PGRI Surabaya being proactivewith one mission, which is to produce graduates who excel and character. Students have thehabit of memorizing a concept, but do not understand the concept. That is, to solve theproblems of students always solve the problems in the manner provided lecturers. Thisresulted in students not able to develop creative character. One approach to learning that isable to develop creative character is the approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME).The paper lists different types of literature review that discusses learning RMEberbasiscreative character as an effort to prepare prospective elementary school teachers who exceland character. subjects based on the theme; removal of subjects one to the other subjects;make APE in accordance with the theme; developing materials.Keywords: Character Creative, Realistic Mathematis Education (RME).
