Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang valid, praktis dan efektif dengan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan powerpoint pada materi Barisan dan Deret untuk siswa kelas XI SMK. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri atas 3 fase yaitu: (i) Penelitian Awal (Preliminary Research), (ii) Fase Pengembangan (Prototyping Phase), (iii) Fase Penilaian (Assessment Phase). Perangkat yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini berupa: 1) Rancangan Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), 2) Buku Siswa, dan 3) Media Pembelajaran Powerpoint. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran tersebut valid. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh tiga validator yang berbeda. Kepraktisan didapat dari hasil observasi keterlaksanaan aktivitas guru yang menunjukkan kriteria baik. Sedangkan keefektifan dinilai dari tiga hal, yaitu hasil nilai TPBA siswa; hasil observasi aktivitas siswa; dan hasil respon siswa; yang ketiganya menunjukkan hasil baik dan positif.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: LKS dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan berbasis model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Penerapan pembelajaran model PBL sangat erat kaitannya dengan masalah praktis salah satunya tentang masalah kopi dan kakao. Tema kopi dan kakao merupakan salah satu dari tujuh riset unggulan Universitas Jember karena berada di wilayah potensial perkebunan kopi, dan memiliki rekam jejak yang baik dalam pengajaran bidang perkebunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKS dengan model Problem-Based Learning untuk SMK Perkebunan bertemakan kopi dan kakao yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri atas 3 fase yaitu: (i) Penelitian Awal (Preliminary Research), (ii) Fase Pengembangan (Prototyping Phase), dan (iii) Fase Penilaian (Assessment Phase). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah skor hasil validasi LKS dan lembar TPBA yang memenuhi kriteria valid, skor observasi aktivitas guru yang memenuhi kriteria praktis, serta skor TPBA, skor observasi aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa yang memenuhi kriteria efektif. Kata kunci: LKS, Problem-Based Learning, Kopi dan Kakao.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on creativity and learning outcomes of mathematical induction. This type of research was quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted on class XI TR and XI AV SMKN 2 Jember. The instruments used were the RPP of the experimental class and the control class, student worksheets, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The data collection methods used in this study was observation and test. To determine the subject of the study, a random technique was used. Based on the result of data analysis, it could be concluded that the students in the experimental class met all indicators well. The students could use several ways to solve the problems. Furthermore, the students were able to find unique ideas to solve the problems. The students expanded, selected, analyzed and evaluated the basic ideas of solving the problems. The students used creative ideas on problem-solving innovations. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, creativity, learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rancangan Pembelajaran (RP) matakuliah kombinatorika ini dikembangkan dengan menyesuaikan Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional (KKNI) dan Local Wisdom. Rancangan Pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini berupa Peta Kajian Matakuliah, Silabus Matakuliah, Rencana Pembelajaran Semester, Modul Pembelajaran, Rancangan Tugas Mahasiswa, Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa, Lembar Penilaian Hasil Belajar, dan Kontrak Perkuliahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan Rancangan Pembelajaran berbasis KKNI dan Local Wisdom yang valid. Validator dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2 yaitu validator ahli pengembangan dan validator ahli materi. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian model Plomp yang terdiri atas 3 fase yaitu: (i) Penelitian Awal (Preliminary Research), (ii) Fase Pengembangan (Prototyping Phase), dan (iii) Fase Penilaian (Assessment Phase). Hasil analisis data kevalidan Rancangan Pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan kriteria sangat valid.   Kata Kunci: Rancangan Pembelajaran, KKNI, Local Wisdom

Abstract

  Usia anak SMP adalah usia saat masih suka bermain sesuatu sehingga mempengaruhi karakteristik siswa dalam proses belajar mereka. Salah satu metode studi alternatif yang dapat dikembangkan untuk memenuhi permintaan adalah metode role playing. Sasarannya adalah siswa lebih mudah untuk memahami materi pelajaran, merasa seperti dalam proses belajar dan juga mudah mengingat pokok pelajaran yang telah disampaikan oleh guru. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Silo. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop an online interactive learning media use assisted Schoology Desmos web for quadratic function graph. This is the kind of research the research development. The process of developing this learning media by using a customized Thiagarajan model or 4-D model. This development model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Trial subject of this research is students of class XI IPA 3 at SMAN Jenggawah with a total of 33 students. The results of the learning media validation in the valid criteria with a correlation coefficient of 0.94 including the "Very High" category. The practical level is seen from user response questionnaire obtained 83,5% including the “Very Good” category. While the effectiveness level is based on the learning test result obtained 81,82% of 33 students scored above the KKM. Based on the results of the data analysis, the results can be obtained that the online interactive learning media use assisted Schoology Desmos web for  quadratic function graph has met valid, practical, and effective criteria.  Keywords: Development, Media, Schoology, Web Desmos, Quadratic Function Graph.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research to describe the ethnomatematics of the Seblang Olehsari Ritual on the concept of geometry. The research method is descriptive qualitative research using ethnography. The Subject of this study is pawang and dancer of Seblang Olehsari. Data collection with survey, observation and intervews. The results showed that ethnomatematics was used by the Osing ethnic in carrying out the Seblang Olehsari ritual, such as: in the design of ritual places, designing dance costumes and dance patterns performed by dancers when trance. The mathematical concept (geometry) that applied by Osing ethnic, include: the concepts of points, lines, angles, flat shapes, similarity, congruent, and geometric transformations Keywords: Ethnomatematics, Seblang Olehsari Ritual, Geometry.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to analyze student’s errors based on Watson's criteria reviewed from gender. From the results, it can be known the types of student errors, the percentage, and the causes of student’s errors that occur. The research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was done by test and interview. The test are given to the students to find out the types of errors that occur when they complete it. The interview with subjects is done to find out the reason why they did error in completing the test. Subject in this research are 10 students in class VIII C of Junior High School 8 Jember. Five male students and female students. Based on the result of this research, the male students are disposed to do an error omitted data with 13,33%, 13,33% response level conflict, and 16,67% above other. The female students are disposed to do an error omitted conclusion with 24,14%.  Keywords: error analysis, Watson’s criteria, function, gender

Abstract

Abstract. Learning media is a tool to deliver the materials to students during teaching and learning process. This study aims to develop e-comic learning media on linear program of two variable. The process of developing this learning media refers to the Thiagarajan model known as the 4-D model which consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The results of the comic media validation included in the valid criteria with a correlation coefficient value was 0.91. Based on the trials that have been conducted in Class X-MIPA 4 MAN 1 Jember with a total of 24 students, the results of the use of instructional media including the level of practicality are categorized as good with a percentage was 91.2%. Then the effectiveness results of comic media based on cognitive, psychomoto, and affective aspects obtained effectiveness level of "Good" in all aspects. Cognitive aspects show a percentage of students who scored above the standard score was 75%. The percentage on the student observation sheet was 87% in the psychomotor aspect. Abstract

Abstract. Algebraic thinking is a process of solving mathematical problems in which uses letters (variables) and perform deeper activity such as problem identifications, represent information symbolically, make mathematic model, as well as interpret and applying mathematic findings. This research was conducted to describe how algebraic thinking process of Junior High School student based on gender and math ability. The subject of research was divided into two of student with high math ability, two student with mid math ability and two student with low math ability in mathematical problem solving of linier equation system of two variable for C5 and C6 problems category where in each category consist of boy and girl. The result shows for C5 and C6 problems, student with high and mid math ability both boys and girls were capable of algebraic thinking in every steps of problem solving. Student with low math ability, the boy was capable of algebraic thinking in every steps of problem solving for C5 and C6 problems. Whereas the girl capable of algebraic thinking in every steps, but for C6 problem category, the girl was only able to perform two algebraic thinking activity in problem solving.  Keywords: algebraic thinking, mathematic ability, problem solving
