Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure, strategy, and the interactional functions of conversation that took place during the teaching and learning process of Indonesian for Academic Purposes at the Department of Legal Study, Universitas Wisnuwardhana Malang. This is a mono-site qualitative descriptive study. The findings showed that the classroom conversations contain three types of conversational structures (transaction, turn-taking, and move), three types of conversational strategies (initiation, negotiation, and elicitation), and four conversational functions (declaring, asking, giving commands, and expressing feelings). The use of negotiation strategy in expressing an apology and gratitude is a new phenomenon in a formal conversation.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) find out the quality the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning (2) discover the pattern of mathematic communication ability the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning.  This research uses mixed method type with concurrent embedded design. Quantitative and qualitative research runs together which the qualitative research is as the primer method. The qualitative learning is assessed from (1) planning and preparation, (2) classroom environment and instruction, and (3) evaluation (professional responsibility) stages. The result of this studies shows that the qualitative learning the ethno-mathematics of Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving (TAPPS) is a good categorized. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with upper group is a student who can explain their ideas and situation in written language appropriately.  Students who can express their ideas and situation on the facing problem in mathematics model appropriately and correctly. A student who can use the mathematical formula correctly to solve the problem. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with medium group is a student who can explain the ideas and situation in written language appropriately. A student who can express their ideas and situation facing the problem into mathematic mode appropriately and correctly. The student who is not able to use the formula to face the problem. The pattern of student’s mathematic communication with lower group is student who can express their ideas and situation in written language appropriately. A student who can express their ideas and situation facing the problem intro mathematic model appropriately and correctly. A student who is not able to use the mathematical formula correctly to solve the problem.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan  (1) jenis diksi, 2) jenis kata, (3) bentuk kata yang digunakan anak, (4)  pola kalimat, (5) jenis kalimat, (6) bentuk-bentuk kalimat yang diproduksi anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Beberapa temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (a) Jenis diksi yang digunakan anak usia prasekolah dalam penelitian ini sangat bervariasi, yakni terdiri atas: (1) kata baku dan nonbaku, (2) kata umum dan khusus, (3) kata asli dan serapan, (4) kata kajian dan populer, dan (5) kata konkret dan abstrak. (2) Ditemukan beberapa jenis kata yang berkaitan dengan deskripsi sintaksis (kalimat), yakni: (1) nomina, (2)verba, (3) adjektiva, (4) adverbia, (5) numeralia, (6) konjungsi, (7) preposisi, (8) demons­tra­tif/penunjuk, (9) pronomina, dan (10) kata tugas. (3) Bentuk kata yang digunakan anak usia prasekolah terdiri atas kata dasar dan kata jadian. Kata jadian yang ditemukan aialah kata berimbuhan, kata ulang, dan kata gabung.(4) Kosa kata yang digunakan terdiri atas tiga bahasa, yakni bahasa Indonesia, bahasa Jawa, dan bahasa Inggris yang jumlahnya relatif sedikit. (5) Kalimat yang ditemukan terdiri atas: (1) kalimat lengkap dan kalimat tidak lengkap, dan (2) kalimat sederhana dan kalimat luas (6) Dalam memproduksi kalimat anak usia prasekolah dalam penelitian ini ditemukan adanya proses produksi dengan kilir lidah, dan (7) Pemahaman makna anak usia prasekolah dipengaruhi oleh usia, fitur, pengetahuan, dan indra anak terhadap kata yang didengar dan responnya terhadap pertanyaan.Kata kunci: memproduksi kalimat, anak usia prasekolah

Abstract

Indonesian has become a state language and national language over the years is not able to be proud of our young people. The phenomenon was apparent when they speak not fully understand about Indonesian.The lack of pride that one of them is influenced by the government, the public, and teacher in implementing the learning process. With a variety of regulations have been promulgated on the use of Indonesian, government has not do real action against violations committed by the public. The Society is more proud to use a foreign language than Indonesian, and young people are less interested in learning Indonesian so that learning can notcreate an attitude of pride in his own language.Keywords: pride, youth, Indonesian

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir seseorang dapat dikembangkan dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya dengan membaca. Membaca sebagai suatu proses pengolahan bacaan secara kritis dan kreatif yang bertujuan untuk memberoleh pemahaman yang bersifat menyeluruh tentang isi bacaan. dengan demikian, pembaca akan menilai isi, fungsi, dampak, dan nilai yang terdapat dalam bacaan.sebagai landasan untuk berpikir dan bernalar. Membaca melibatkan proses psikologis, proses sensoris, proses perseptual, dan proses perkembangan. Pembelajaran membaca dengan beragam teks absurd dapat menambah pengetahuan dan wawasan mahasiswa sebagai sarana berpikir kritis dan kreatif untuk melakukan perenungan terhadap dirinya dan perbuatan yang telah dilakukan dalam rangka memperkuat nilai pribadi dan keyakinannya, mengganti pengalaman estetika yang sudah usang, menghindarkan diri dari kesulitan, ketakutan, kegalauan, dan lain-lain. hal itu sesuai dengan makna absurd dalam beragam teks., yakni teks yang berisi tentang kesia-siaan dan ketidakbermaknaan hidup.  Kata kunci: pembelajaran, membaca, teks absurd.

Abstract

Writing for most students is a language skill that is difficult to master. This research on writing skills is based on observations and experiences of researchers towards the low ability of SMK students in writing. This is because learning to write at school is still conventional. The selection of learning models has not been a top priority by teachers. The communicative model can be used to improve writing learning to foster a sense of writing and improve learning outcomes. The results of the act of using a communicative approach to writing activities at SMK Multimedia Nurul Huda Poncokusumo showed an increase when compared to conventional writing learning. Improving the ability of students in writing occurs through several stages carried out in three cycles using the communicative model.Keyword: writing, communicative model, learning
