Abstract

 AbstractThe research was aimed to know the influence of personal characteristic and work characteristic with organizational commitment. For succeding the purpose, the population taken in this research was the whole employee of Polithecnic Balikpapan astaxanthin respondent, there were 38 respondent and the research used method of census. The method of collecting data was held through deviding some questions to the respondents, and the result were used as primary data. The scondary data were obtained from direct observation, so the data were complete. This scale in question draft was used interval scale. In this research, Multiple Linier Regression Formula was applied to test the hypotesis explaining that there were significant infuence of personal characteristik and work characteristic with organizational commitment and work characteristic  had greater contribution on organizational commitment ,For knowing the significance off all influence of independent variables on organizational commitment, F-test was applied. And, t-test was applied to test the significance of each independent variable (partial) , on organizational commitment. From the testing, it can be see the great contribution of independent variables, and can be conducted by showing the amount of relative contribution and is elasticity on organizational commitment. The result of testing on the first Hypotesis showed that there were significant influence of personal characterisitic and work characterisitic with organizational commitment. It mean the variation of change of organizational commitment of employee was affected by personal characterisitic and work characterisitic.Where as testing of the scond hypotesis indicated that work  characteristic had greater contribution on organizasional  commitment. Keyword : personal characteristic,  work characteristic, organizational commitment  Abstrak                 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh karakteristik personal dan karakterisitik pekerjaan terhadap komitmen organisasi. Untuk mencapai maksud tujuan, populasi yang diambil adalah keseluruhan karyawan di lingkungan Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan , karena jumlahnya hanya 38 karyawan maka seluruhnya sebagai responden dan merupakan penelitian sensus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membagi kuesioner kepada responden yang digunakan sebagai data primer. Data sekunder diperoleh dari observasi langsung, sehingga data penelitian diharapkan akan menjadi lengkap. Skala dalam penyusunan kuesioner digunakan skala interval. Pengujian hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan karakterisitik personal dan karakterisitik  pekerjaan, dan karakterisitik pekerjan mempunyai kontribusi lebih besar dari karakterisitik personal terhadap komitmen organisasi digunakan rumus regresi linier berganda. Untuk mengetahui signifikansi keseluruhan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap komitmen organisasi digunakan rumus Uji- F. Sedangkan untuk menguji signifikansi masing-masing  variabel bebas (parsial)  terhadap komitmen organisasi digunakan uji-t, dari hasil dapat diketahui juga besarnya kontribusi variabel bebas, serta dapat dilakukan dengan menunjukkan besarnya sumbangan relatif dan elastisitasnya terhadap komitmen organisasi. Hasil pengujian terhadap hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel karakterisitik personal dan karakteristik pekerjaaan terhadap komitmen organisasi. Artinya variasi perubahan komitmen organisasi dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik personal dan karakterisitik pekerjaan. Sedangkan pengujian hipotesa kedua menunjukkan bahwa variabel karakteristik pekerjaan mempunyai kontribusi lebih besar dari karakterisitik personal terhadap komitmen organisasi. Kata kunci : karakteristik personal, karakterisitik pekerjaan, komitmen organisasi.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis peran paguyuban dalam mendukung  integrasi sosial dan  untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa yang mendukung dan menghambat. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Peran paguyuban untuk mendukung integrasi sosial sudah dilaksanakan  oleh paguyuban  terlihat dalam kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh paguyuban yang ada di Balikpapan untuk kepentingan bersama masyarakat seperti kegiatan sosial , menjadi bagian dalam organisasi kerukunan antar umat beragama, ikut dalam pawai budaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah kota.  Dengan dibentuknya Forum Paguyuban lebih memperkuat persatuan antar paguyuban. Faktor pendukung, pemerintah Kota Balikpapan sangat mendukung kegiatan paguyuban diadakan silaturahmi antar paguyuban yang mengumpulkan paguyuban seluruh Balikpapan  2-3 kali setahun dan memberikan bantuan misalnya dalam bentuk konsumnsi, faktor penghambat integrasi sosial adalah keterbatasan dana untuk melakukan kegiatan dan  apabila ada arogansi dari etnis tertentu, intimidasi  dari etnis tertentu akan menghambat integrasi sosial.

Abstract

Political recruitment is one of the political parties functions that should be performed by a political party that could generate the future leaders. Weak cadre in political parties is seen in local elections, the party can not nominate its cadres themselves as a local head candidate, it is caused by the function of political recruitment that not worked properly, because the management of political parties are not work well, their work program that does not run and the lack of availability funds for their political party to do the political recruitment.Keywords: political recruitment, regeneration and the local head elections

Abstract

AbstrakPengolahan buah naga merah untuk dijadikan produk pangan saat ini sudah dilaksanakan oleh kelompok tani warga Karang Joang RT 19 KM 12 Balikpapan Utara, akan tetapi produk pangan yang dihasilkan belum bervariasi. produksi belum dapat dilakukan setiap hari, hanya pada waktu-waktu tertentu. Kelompok tani memiliki keinginanuntuk mengolah buah naga menjadi produk olahan untuk mengatasi agar tidak mengalami kerugian akibat buah yang tidak terjual, akan tetapi salah satu kendala yang dihadapi adalah pengetahuan yang terbatas. Mereka belum memiliki pengetahuan cara pengolahan buah naga yang lebih bervariasi.Berdasarkan hasil observasi permasalahan mitra pada kelompok tani warna Karang Joang RT 19 dapat diidentifikasi sebagai berikut: 1) Bagaimana menambah variasi olahan buah naga untuk dapat menambah nilai ekonomi dan daya tahan simpan dalam bentuk produk sesuai dengan permintaan pasar saat ini, 2) Bagaimana memberikan produk olahan buah naga kepada konsumen dengan pengemasan dan labbeling yang tepat.Solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan uraian permasalahan mitra yang sedang dihadap diantaranya yaitu: 1) Pelatihan ketrampilan tekniks pengembangan pengolahan produk buah naga, 2) Pelatihan pengemasan dan labbeling produk olahan buah naga.

Abstract

Today the noble values of the Pancasila begin to fade because of the growth of fanatical attitudes towards certain groups, the emergence of various kinds of organizations with particular groups even in the name of Islam. Islam which teaches the values of glory such as; love of peace, love, mutual respect between one another religion, but religion is sometimes interpreted according to his will by certain groups as a foundation in launching his mission by approaching religious teachings by means of violence and coercion. Radicalism which was only directed at a less educated group of people, has now fallen to educated groups or students in universities. Some university leaders have indicated the involvement of students in radical understanding on campus. Because of concerns about the emergence of radical understanding in higher education institutions a few months ago the Minister of Technology Research and Higher Education Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasir gathered college leaders to declare against radicalism the campus. The purpose of this study is to further examine the potential of radicalism among Balikpapan State Polytechnic students, the object of this study is students especially students of internal organizational activists on campus or students of campus external organizational activists data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews then the data is processed. The results of this study indicate the existence of radicalism among students. From data obtained, radicalism among students is not formed from internal campus but formed through the activities of external organizations that are outside the campus.  The existence of student affiliations with external campus organizations forms students into radicals which then enter the campus.

Abstract

Campus has a strategic role in the development of human resources through the implementation of Tridharma (three higher education roles), namely the implementation of education and teaching, research, and community service. In addition to this role, vocational colleges have the responsibility of equipping students with values according to the needs of the industry. To be able to work according to the needs of the workplace, not only to mastering hard skills, but also mastering soft skills, because in carrying out his profession in addition to using technological tools also conduct social interaction with fellow colleagues, supervisors, and partners in a professional manner. To train students in developing intra-personal and interpersonal skills, in addition to being obtained in lecture halls, also through student organization activities (ormawa) on campus such as BEM, MPM, HMJ and UKM. This study aims to examine the role of ormawa in shaping character values, by analyzing the character indicators of the implementation of ormawa's work program. Among the findings are the growth of independence, creativity, responsibility, honesty, budget accountability, and time management. The results of this study indicate that ormawa has a role in shaping character values through student activities independently.  Keywords : character values, industry workplace, students organization   Kampus memiliki peran strategis dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia melalui penyelenggaraan tridharma pendidikan tinggi, yaitu pelaksanaan pendidikan dan pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Selain peran tersebut, perguruan tinggi vokasi memiliki tanggung jawab membekali peserta didik dengan nilai-nilai sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja dan industri.Untuk dapat bekerja sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja, selain penguasaan hard skill, juga penguasaan soft skill, karena dalam menjalankan profesinya selain menggunakan alat-alat teknologi juga melakukan interaksi sosial dengan sesama rekan kerja, atasan, dan mitra secara profesional. Untuk melatih mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan intra personal dan interpersonal, selain diperoleh di ruang kuliah, juga melalui aktifitas organisasi kemahasiswaan (ormawa) yang ada di kampus seperti BEM, MPM, HMJ, dan UKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran ormawa dalam membentuk nilai-nilai karakter, dengan menganalisis indikator karakter dari pelaksanaan program kerja ormawa yang dilaksanakan. Di antara temuannya adalah tumbuhnya kemandirian, kreatifitas, tanggung jawab, kejujuran, akuntabilitas anggaran, dan manajemen waktu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ormawa memiliki peran dalam membentuk nilai-nilai karakter melalui aktifitas mahasiswa secara mandiri. Kata kunci : dunia industri, nilai-nilai karakter, ormawa

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of character education at the State Polytechnic of Balikpapan viewed from institution, academic / curricular and non-curricular.Type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data used in this study was purposive sampling, informant who serves as key informants in this study, such as:Director, Vice Director I, Vice Director II, and students. The data were analyzed by using Analysis Data on Interactive Model.The result of this character education implementation researchin StatePolytechnic of Balikpapan at the institution level there are no policies or regulations governing the implementation of educationcharacter in academic / curricular that was still included in the civicsand religion subject have not been integrated into all subjects, and in character education extracurricular had already implemented in student organizations
