Abstract

Kegiatan pembinaan bagi guru-guru matematika dan IPA SMP ?Peringkat Sedang? berbasis peer teaching di wilayah Kota yogyakarta bertujuan untuk mewujudkan budaya akademik yang sehat bagi terselenggaranya proses pembelajaran. Guru-guru kurang antusias dalam menanggapi diskusi yang berkenaan dengan materi, terutama materi yang berkaitan dengan tes olimpiade matematika dan IPA. Untuk itu guru perlu dilatih dengan penyegaran kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional. Metode pembinaan guru yang dilakukan melalui peer teaching dan pelatihan. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan (1) Pendalaman materi matematika dan IPA, (2) Penyusunan modul dan strategi penyelesaian soal-soal matematika dan IPA yang diselaraskan dengan soal tes olimpiade, (3) Pendampingan guru-guru dalam pembimbingan kepada siswanya untuk menyiapkan sebagai calon peserta olimpiade matematika dan IPA. (4) Kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional guru meningkat secara signifikan, (5) Kualitas guru matematika dan IPA SMP meningkat secara signifikan. Diharapkan kegiatan serupa dapat diteruskan karena kegiatan peer teaching melatih guru berani menyampaikan gagasannya di hadapan para guru.

Abstract

The sociomathematics? norm is a social norm of mathematical nuance, with sociomathematics? norms; the social intelligence possessed by learners can be developed because his norm is strongly associated with negotiation and interaction. The purpose of this article is to know the improvement of sociomathematics? norms student of mathematics education by using cooperative learning of Team Accelerated Instruction. This research uses pretest-posttes control only group design. Sample size in this research is 38 people in class C of course of Numerical Method taken by cluster random. The sociomathematics? norm is obtained using an observation sheet. The data obtained were analysed using N-gain and t-test (paired-samples T Test). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the learning model of Team Accelerated Instruction can improve students' sociomathematics? norm ability through numerical method

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of the Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) towards the ability of the students to solve mathematics problems based on their initial ability. This study is an experiment with 367 students involved as the research sample taken using the cluster technique. The research variable is the problem-solving ability, the initial ability, and the learning model. Analysis of variance was used to analyze the data which leads to the conclusions that (1) the TAI is more effective than the Direct Instruction (DI); (2) the students having moderate initial ability performed better compared to the lower and the higher initial ability; (3) among the students with moderate initial ability, TAI was more effective to be used than DI; and (4) in the implementation of  TAI and DI, the problem solving ability of the students is relatively similar.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (1) siswa yang diajar menggunakan TAI dan model pembelajaran langsung, (2) siswa dengan tingkatan kemampuan awal yang berbeda. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Jogjakarta dengan ukuran sampel 66 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Variabel penelitian adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, kemampuan awal dan model pembelajaran. Data diperoleh dengan dokumentasi untuk kemampuan awal dan tes untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalur (ANAVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis matematika pada siswa yang menggunakan TAI maupun model pembelajaran langsung, pada tingkatan kemampuan awal yang berbeda juga tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis. Kata Kunci. The purpose of this research is to know the difference between problem-solving ability: (1) on students who are taught using TAI and direct learning model, (2) on students with different initial skill level. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. The population in this research is all students of SMP class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Jogjakarta with sample size 66 students taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The research variables are problem-solving ability, initial capability, and learning model. Data were obtained with documentation for initial capability and tests for problem-solving skills. The data analysis technique was used using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that there was no difference in the ability to solve mathematical problems in students using TAI as well as direct learning models, at different levels of different capabilities as well as no difference in problem-solving abilities Kata Kunci. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the activity and mathematics achievement of students of class VII with learning methods of problem solving in SMP N 1 Botodayaan, Rongkop, Gunungkidul. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Techniques of data collection in this study was done by observation, documentation, and testing. Test instrument used to test the test item, whereas the observation sheet used to determine the level of involvement of the student. Data analysis techniques for observation sheet was conducted to determine student activity, whereas for mathematics achievement tests done by calculating the average value of the class. The results showed that after the application of the learning methods of problem solving, activity and learning mathematics achievement increased. It can be shown an increase in the average yield percentage of student activity sheets based on the observation that pre-cycle by 37.88% student activity, student activity first cycle of 51.01%, 76.77% for the second cycle. While the average value of student mathematics achievement increased from an average initial value of 56.97 to 66.16 in the first cycle and second cycle being 71.59. It is expected that schools can apply the learning method.

Abstract

The purpose of the study to describe the process of cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in order to increase learning activity and mathematics achievement of class VII D SMP N 1 Nglipar. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted a minimum of two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class VII D SMP N 1 Nglipar totaling 32 students. The object of this study were learning activity and mathematics achievement. The results showed that learning activity and mathematics achievement have increased. This is indicated by the average percentage of observation sheet result of student learning activity by 60,93% first cycle and 81,77% in the second cycle. Results of students mathematics learning achievement test, the average value of mathematics learning achievement at 57,18 pre-cycle, the first cycle increased to 69,44 and the second cycle increased to 74,56. Based on the results of the implementation of cooperative learning Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model can increased learning activity and mathematics achievement.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to increase the activity and learning resultMathematics with Open Ended learning approach in 10th grade students of TamanMadya Jetis Yogyakarta Senior high school. The research was Classroom ActionResearch (CAR). The subjects in this study were 10th grade students of TamanMadya Jetis Yogyakarta Senior high school totaling 28 students, while the object islearning Mathematics with Opend Ended approach to increase the activity andlearning result in 10th grade students of Taman Madya Jetis Yogyakarta Senior highschool. The results showed that after the application of Open Ended learningapproach, activity and learning result of students has increased. This can be shownby an increase in the percentage average questionnaire student activity from 70.24%to 74.14% pre-action into the after action. The increasing in the percentage averageviewed from the observation of student activity amounting 43.21% to 75.54% preactioninto the after action. Learning result of students also increased, judging fromthe average value of 71.86 into 79.23 in pre-cycle at the end of the first cycle, andincreased again at the end of the second cycle becomes 85. While the percentage ofcompleteness students ( with KKM 75 ) also increased, namely the pre-action by53.57% to 75% in the first cycle, increased again in the second cycle becomes92.86%. Can be inferred Open Ended learning approach can increase activity andstudents learning result mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose the research to improve the activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method in class VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan it consists of 24 students. The object of this research is activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method. The result of the study shows that after this learning model, students’ activity and achievement has an increase. Students’ activity has increase in pre cycle from 56,25% become 64,93% and an increase in cycle II become 72,92%. Beside that the subjection average of students achievement has an increase in pre cycle shows 53,43 with Minimum Completenes Criteria ‘KKM’ is 12,5% consists of 3 students. In cycle I has an increase become 66,94 with KKM is 41,67% consist of 10 students where as in cycle II shows the increasa become 82,54 with KKM is 75% consist of 18 students. In pre cycle to cycle I there are 2 students whose value is fixed and the 22 students has increased. Then in cycle I to cycle II there are 1 student whose value is fixed  and the 23 students has increased.

Abstract

This research aims to know the information abaut the  tendency of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic, and mathematics learning  achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta and to determine the relationship of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta either partially or simultaneously. This research was ex post facto. The population of this research were students VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta of 360 students.  The research sample of 90 students was taken by proportional random sampling. Analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of the data analysis in this research are : 1) self efficacy was medium; 2) motivation was high; 3) procrastination academic was medium; 4) mathematics learning achievement was medium; 5) simultaneously there was positive relationship between self efficacy and motivation also negative relationship between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement ( ; 6) there was positive relationship between self efficacy with mathematics learning achievement ; 7) there was positive relationship between motivation with mathematics learning achievement ; 8) there was negative between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement .

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of Tamansiswa precept values in teaching mathematic activity to shown the students characters. The research is qualitative descriptive research. The data gets from an observation, an interview, and documentation. The research shows that mathematic teachers of seventh and eighth grade in Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Junior High School are already implementing the values of Tamansiswa precept in teaching activity. The implementation of Tamansiswa precept values is done by using variety methods of teaching mathematic such as, communicative method, guided discovery method, cooperative method (STAD), and task method. The character of student which already organized is shows in VII A class, while VII C still needs a process to build the student character. The organized student character shows by the freedom attitude of student (free for have a notion), independent, diligent, not to yield an inch, have a curiosity, and through.
