Abstract

BMPR-1B gene closely related to the rate of ovulation and follicular maturation. In poultry, BMPR-1B gene is located on chromosome 14th consists of 13 exons. BMPR-1B was expressed in the granulosa cells of the ovary and teca interna poultry. BMPR-1B was able to accelerate the maturation of the follicles so that the ova produced increasingly. BMPR-1B gene diversity was associated with poultry production.  DNA isolation was performed using GeneJET Genomic DNA Purification Kit from blood samples derived from 28 native chickens, 20 layer chickens and 10 arab layer chickens. A total of 58 DNA were  used as a template in the process of BMPR-IB gene amplification using Polymerase Chain Reaction method. Primers used in this study according to Zhang et al. (2008), Forward primer 5 ATG GCT GGG AAG TCT GGA TG 3dan Reverse primer 5 TGC CTT CTG TGT TAA CCG C 3 with a length of 581 bp. This primary amplify BMPR-1B gene segment from exon 6 to exon 7 including the entire intron 6 with an annealing temperature of 58 0 C. BMPR-IB gene diversity was detected using restriction enzymes HindIII were incubated for 2 hours. The results of the study was showed that Hind III restriction enzymes do not cut the BMPR-1B gene segments in the population of native chickens, arab layer chickens and layer chickens, they were monomorphic.

Abstract

Banana peels not much optimally used as a substitute for grass. In 2014 the production of banana peels waste Riau province reaches 7.586 ton. More than a third of the banana that has not been in the strip is banana peels. The purpose of this study to determine the effect with different rice bran level and fermentation time of the fiber fraction silage that includes the content of neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), acid detergent lignin (ADL), hemicellulose, and cellulose. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Nutrition Science and Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in April until September 2016. This study were an experimental study using a completely randomized design pattern Factorial consisting of rice bran level (0; 5; and 10%) and fermentation time (0; 14; and 28 days), each treatment was repeated 2 times. There were no significant differences (P>0,05) in NDF, ADF, ADL, hemicelluloses, and cellulose. It can be concluded that there is not interaction between rice bran level and fermentation time toward fiber fraction of banana peels silage.

Abstract

4) Terjadi peningkatan perekonomian keluarga, selain dapat dijual mereka juga berharap bahwa nanti itik-itik ini dapat mereka konsumsi sebagai bahan pangan sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari.[Women's empowerment is an effort that requires equal and mutually beneficial interactions according to the functions and potential of each of the empowerment and empowered women. The economic empowerment program aims to create jobs for women, one of which is by raising ducks. Ducks have several advantages, they are easy to maintain, can adapt to the local environment and are resistant to disease. The scope of service activities carried out was Forum Group Discussion, workshop on duck farming, group formation, initial venture capital in the form of seeds, enlargement cages, rations, feed and drink places and vitamins, group assistance and monitoring and evaluation. The results of this service activity are 1) increasing knowledge about raising ducks which includes seeds, feed, maintenance and disease prevention systems 2) increasing self-confidence for women who have only worked as housewives 3) a change in mindset, in at first the participants felt pessimistic about whether the seeds given could grow and develop well, and whether later it would not bother them because they had to spend time on maintenance, it turned out that all the things that were feared were not proven. Duck farming activities do not disturb their basic duties as housewives. 4) There is an increase in the family economy, besides being sold they also hope that later they can consume these ducks as food so they can meet their daily food needs.]
