Abstract

The purpose of this study was to help the campaign of related messages and invites the public to participate in caring for the existence of the urban forest in Jakarta. Method design of this study was through the stages of observation in the form of search data by observation, literature reference, and then elaboration of mapping problem analysis, synthesis in the form of search and define the character core visual as the main idea. It was also supported by the theories related to the visual character animation, communication, semiotics, and gestalt. The result is character design with a variety of functions such mascot, campaign logo, and public service advertising. In conclusion, through this character design is expected to communicate messages easier about the existence of urban forest in Jakarta.

Abstract

Watching television advertising means accepting the message and understand the meaning of the message from those impressions. With a fairly short duration, the audience is faced with the question of understanding various aspects. The first aspect is the accessibility to the senses of the eye and ear and continues to the senses understanding of meaning and sense and consideration. Semiotics is one approach to understanding television advertising where the ad itself as part of the marker system information. From the nature of information just to process an attempt "to seduce" the audience in this case is the prospect of a commercial nature. Message becomes differently if it is not commercial. There is no end goal of selling products, but simply pass on the positive message. This is what will be studied from a television ad social services with the youth oath-theme. The review focused on the aspects of ease of understanding the visual language of scene after watching this public service advertisements.

Abstract

Corruption in Indonesia is such a life culture that is hardly to be eradicated. In order to solve it, there must be serious and strong will. Campaigning through public service advertising is one part of good moral message disseminating efforts. In producing PSA about corruption, it needs special strategy so the disseminated message could be transferred easily by target audience. One method is creative approach in advertising strategy. To make the production easier, there are stages: pre-production, production and post-production. Production method is through photographic and motion graphic. Motion graphic generally time-based visual media cutting which combine film language and graphic design. The result is a public service advertising film 60’ durated time, in anti-corruption theme. Meanwhile, disseminated message about close relationship between a mother and her child, unhappy because her child is a corruptor. Thus, audience will easily emotionally touched through this public service advertising.

Abstract

AbstractThe Animation Story Premise Inspired by Urban Culture. For the writer of stories, writing stories for animated film is not that difficult compared to students in general. Their process in learning to write a story for the animated film is not an easy task. Moreover, if it needed to visualize the characters. This paper aims to design some interesting animated story premise and allow it to be brought to the level of production easier. The design method consist the stages of observation in the form of data retrieval, analysis elaboration for mapping problem, and the synthesis stage to define the core story and visual character as the main idea. It is also supported by theories related to visual character animation, communication, semiotics and gestalt. The result is a unique premise of the story, typical animation and character design. The design of storyand character design is expected to be the guidance for the students to design the story and characters in animation production, particularly in Screenplay Subjects and FinalProject.AbstrakPremis Cerita Khas Animasi yang Diinspirasi Budaya Urban. Bagi penulis cerita, menulis cerita untuk film animasi bukanlah hal yang sulit dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa secara umum. Proses mereka dalam belajar menulis cerita untuk film animasi bukanlah perkara yang mudah. Apalagi jika harus bisa menvisualkan karakter tersebut. Tulisan ini bertujuan merancang beberapa premis cerita animasi yang menarikdan memungkinkan untuk dibawa ke level produksi yang lebih mudah. Metode perancangan melalui tahapan observasi berupa proses pencarian data, elaborasi analisis pemetaan masalah, proses sintesa berupa mencari dan menentukan inti cerita dan visual karakter sebagai ide utama. Selain itu juga didukung teori-teori terkait visual karakteranimasi, komunikasi, semiotika dan gestalt. Hasilnya berupa premis cerita yang unik, menarik khas animasi dan desain karakter yang sesuai. Perancangan cerita dan desain karakter ini, diharapkan menjadi petunjuk lebih mudah bagi mahasiswa agar terpancing ide-idenya untuk merancang cerita dan karakter dalam produksi animasi, khususnya di Mata Kuliah Screenplay dan Tugas Akhir.

Abstract

Estetika visual dalam film ditentukan oleh aspek sinematografi. Kemampuan seorang sineas dalam sinematografi menjadi kunci kualitas estetika visual. Dalam sejarah perfilman, peranan kamera perekam adegan tidak terlepas dari sejarah fotografi. Dalam kaitan ini, memahami fotografi menjadi dasar seseorang mempelajari sinematografi yang lebih mudah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membantu memahami sinematografi dari sudut pandang fotografi dengan kamera dslr (digital single-lens reflex). Metodenya berupa paparan teknis kaidah fotografi yang dibandingkan dengan kaidah teknis sinematografi yang berbasis kamera dslr. Pemahaman aspek teknis meliputi aspek ratio bidang frame, sistem pembacaan visual secara digital, ukuran sensor, exposure dan shutter, lensa beserta dampaknya, faktor iso dan noise. Faktor kompresi gambar dalam penyimpanan juga menjadi pembahasan. Hasilnya berupa pemahaman yang mengkorelasikan & perbandingan teknis fotografi dengan sinematografi untuk video atau film. Sehingga pengguna fotografi dengan dslr pun bisa memanfaatkan fasilitas video membuat karya sinematografi.

Abstract

 A work of visual communication design which aired on the television screen has a different perspective in its interpretation in the eyes of the audience when compared to other media. By understanding the characteristics and nature of media, proper exploration of graphic design can easily be created. Through literature study, observations of the author as a practitioner of graphic design for television and comparisons with the print media will facilitate the understanding of this study.

Abstract

The existence of the urban forest in Jakarta become a valuable asset for its residents. Unfortunately, the urban forest less aware of its existence. This unconsciousness due to lack of information about the existence of the urban forest itself. The design aims to create unique and attractive character, which helps inform the existence of the urban forest in Jakarta, through educational games. The design method through the stages of observation in the form of visual data search, analysis elaboration mapping problem, then visually determining the essential character as the main idea. The result is a character design with the function as the "spokes person" that allows users to know the existence of the urban forest in Jakarta
